An amazing place to stay at! Went on a weekend trip with a friend and this was such a steal. The Urban rents apartments and hotel rooms, and it also provides spaces like study rooms, shared kitchens, and an amazing rooftop deck. We mainly used a car to get around the downtown area, but the location is very walkable. We were told that we were one of the first to stay at their hotel being that they just finished construction along with COVID, and with that, everything was a great experience overall. The pool thats advertised is actually much smaller than I expected, and the elevator was down which was unfortunate for my friend who was wearing a knee brace at the time. However, the service was super-friendly and the owner was more than willing to help us whenever we needed something. I would definitely recommend this chic and modern place to those who are looking for an amazing getaway experience and have an open mind!

New place definitely a plus, the room I was in was great. I liked the colors and the decor. Has its own parking garage. The staff was friendly. I would recommend The Urban to anyone!

Stayed for a night after a concert at the Shott. I chose the place because of its proximity and the price was competitive. The staff was very courteous and the checkin was fast. The room key worked with no problems. The room was cramped and smaller than your typical hotel room. It had an off odor where you had to keep the fan blowing to minimize the smell. The space was remodeled nicely and very clean. The queen bed was a foldout and a little lumpy. The fridge was a nice size and the place had a ton of storage if you needed to live there. For a hotel room its a waste of space that is already cramped.First hotel I ever stayed in were I was not able to get the TV to work. At home I have Roku and many of the streaming services. So when I saw it in the room I was like okay, first time I seen streaming TV in a hotel. Unfortunately no Hulu service, no Netflix service, so I tried just Roku TV and it would play but no sound and the video was blank. I know it was playing because the closed captioning on the bottom of the screen was working as the movie was progressing. I even tried to mirror my Hulu service on my phone through Roku. Could not even get that to work. What a bust! So I just watched Hulu on my smart phone.Place was fairly quiet but after a rough night of sleep, time for the shower. Bathroom amenities were good and convenient but the shower pressure was low. The linens were good and decent. Check out was quick and the free parking garage key controls were only on one side to enter or exit. Unfortunately inconvenient on the opposite side of the direction they told me to find the garage.I have stayed in many places, some worse, but it was convenient and clean for what I needed it for.

It’s a joke. This place is way too small, basically a box for the price they make you pay. No one cleans up after themselves in the kitchens and the walls are extremely thin. Garage parking is also way too overpriced. The late fee also for one day over is 10% which was not clearly mentioned, and on top of that apparently it’s $5 more each day starting the 5th of the month. Not to mention how in the beginning of the move in process they kept everyone hanging wondering what was going on with the move in dates. They had to move it back several times which is understandable because everything is new but they didn’t email everyone until very late notice and we had no clue what was going on. You could find a very nice apartment decently near campus for half the price. I really am disappointed in myself for choosing this place, I should have known better.

This place is an over-priced dorm room. The management is also completely unresponsive. As a mother of a college student I would seriously reconsider your options. We have had a very bad experience from the beginning.

They are very persistent when getting you to sign a lease, but once you do you will never hear from them again even after multiple attempts at contact.

Location is within walking distance of campus. love that wifi is included. Allowed to have pets, which allowed me to get a puppy. Super friendly management, always upfront about everything happening. Also for it being a brand new building everything is going smoothly and they do there best to get to everyones need!

The original plan was for my son to live from home and commute to OSU. As the deadline approached for college to start- he changed his mind and decided he would like to live on campus. With a pandemic and being a nurse I didn’t feel the dormitory was ideal at that time. Luckily I saw the advertisement for the Urban on Facebook. I called and was set for a tour the very next day. My son loved it and we signed the lease immediately. You can have a pet if you would like which is awesome. I love that the parking is right below the apartments. It is super convenient. I love that the studio apartment is furnished and it was a breeze moving him in. It is a sweet set up and when Covid restrictions lift- they have several areas where residents can mingle and have a courtyard. It is in an ideal location. When they first moved in- the residents had to review the apartment and see if any repairs needed completed. My son only had a few things that needed tweaked and they were fixed the very next day. Whenever I have a question or concern- I email and I always get a quick response. We like it so much that we signed him up for another year. I was in several apartments when I went to OSU back in the day and trust me they were nothing like The Urban. My son and I are truly pleased and glad that we found it 👍

I dont know where to begin. Our son signed a lease in July for an August 22, 2020 move in. The apartment wasnt ready due to construction delays and inspections not being complete. This was a move for our son from Florida to Ohio so our time off was scheduled in advance. Several days later my son received an email stating he was moved to a different apartment on the 6th floor (he chose and signed for an apartment on the 3rd) and that he could move to his original apartment when it was ready, but would have to let someone know or request it. We stated that he would wait for his originally agreed upon apartment on the 3rd floor to be ready and then coordinate moving him up to Ohio with work, our daughter in school here in Florida and our work schedules. Our son contacted The Urban again and a WEEK later was told his original apartment wasnt available anymore. What? It was rented to someone else when we signed a lease for it? Since then I have called leaving voice messages, emailed and my son has emailed as well with NO response. I am very frustrated and very disappointed with The Urban at this point and am continuing to wait for information as to why this happened and what our options are.
