My AC suddenly started deteriorating rapidly and I needed someone to come ASAP. I called and they had someone out within 30 minutes. Joe was very professional and informative on what was happening with my AC unit and explained all my options. I am so appreciative of the responsiveness and good quality service I received!

Called everyone else in town when our furnce stopped working with no luck. Joe got up early and shoveled his truck out of the snow to get our furnace going. Thankfully, it was a quick fix. Will definitely uae these guys again. Once again, thank you for helping my family during such bad weather.

Got a response within an hour of calling! The guy was able to come a couple hours later on a Saturday even! He knew pretty early on that it was our 2 week old new thermostat that was the problem but tried everything he could to get it going. He was able to give me quotes on a few other things we need done as well. He was very friendly and Id recommend them to anyone!!!About 2 weeks after this, I scheduled them to come out for a duct cleaning and service our furnace as well. We have a pretty big house that was built in the 1890s I believe. Anyways, this house has 18 vents and they had to go in the creepy basement for the furnace! It was very reasonably priced and they did excellent work! I was curious about what they found in the vents but I didnt want to hover. If I did annoy them, they did not let on and were just as amused as me!

Joe is extremely honest and has integrity. He stood at the furnace and pointed out items and explained their functions. He makes sure I understand everything he’s doing and doesn’t grow tired of my questions!

Our experience with Shields Comfort Heating & Cooling was fantastic! They were able to come out same day to check out our air ducts, give very helpful information, and explain our options. They scheduled our work for the following week, which I believe was very quick. They had great communication and worked very effectively to complete replacement of all air ducts and clean our vents in one day. They were very easy to talk to, and all around great guys! I would 100% recommend, and will absolutely use them in the future for other heating and cooling needs.

I called to get help with my AC and on the phone I asked what the usual charge was like a 3 hr minimum call or whatever they’re going to charge!!!! The person told me on the phone that it would be an $85 charge but if they found something they would charge for the parts and labor!!!! I told him I thought it was the capacitor, what do you know I should have done it my self because less than an hour later it WAS THE CAPACITOR and $300!! Wow really glad it’s fixed but that seems like a little much and DID NOT LEAVE ANY RECEIPT FOR THE WORK OR PARTS THAT WERE REPLACED!!!!!!! Won’t be referring or using them EVER AGAIN!!! Still waiting on a call back to see how this was possible!!!

We needed an air duct cleaning BAD. I called around. One company wanted just under a thousand dollars, and they needed to cut open some of our ducts. Shield did the job for a THIRD of the price, and their method did not require cutting open our air ducts. They sucked out a ton of dust (and some mouse nests!). They were professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

On Monday morning May 20, 2019 I called this company and spoke with Joe. He was so friendly and straightforward. I explained that I had moved into this home just 2 weeks ago and had bought a new dryer from Best Buy. Shortly after doing just 5 loads of laundry the new dryer gave an error message having to do with improper venting. Best Buy brought another dyer to swap out however that did not solve the issue. Another even more critical error message came up about venting issues with the second new dryer and now would not even dry the clothes. I was desperate when I called Joe because it had already been over a week since I had done laundry and I needed to! Joe told me that he would call me right back. He needed to see if he could move some schedules around and be able to come to my home today. He called me back and told me he would see me today around 11-12. He showed up with another technician when he promised me he would. They cleaned out my dryer vent which probably had not been cleaned in 20 years. They also cleaned all of the vents in every room in the house. They were so friendly, on time, professional and efficient. They saved my day and I am SO grateful to Joe and his other tech. Thank you for helping me resolve my problem. You now have another loyal customer.

The team at Shield Comfort installed a new high efficiency furnace and heat pump in my 147 year old home. The furnace was a very tight fit in the existing interior closet. Joe and team were up to the challenge and the work was outstanding. Its only been running a few days, but the American Standard system is quiet and working nicely. Joe followed-up to ensure the system was operating to my satisfactions and see if I had any questions. I couldnt be happier with the service provided by Shield Comfort.

The air compressor went out on our air conditioner. Shield comfort heating came out very quickly to our house to diagnose the problem. They helped us significantly throughout the process of deciding how to repair the unit. They were the most responsive out of all the people we contacted. I recently moved into a new home and I had no idea if the HVAC worked or not. Shield Comfort Heating & Cooling came out and gave me an honest assessment. He gave me options and was very thorough. He had to get some parts and come back a couple days later, I left him my key to my house and when I returned from my business trip everything was up and running! Highly recommend this team!!!

From the beginning, the technician that came to our house to inspect our furnace was super negative, bashing home warranties. Of course, we were using our home warranty; very off-putting. Our claim was denied and when I inquired with the warranty company, I found out the technician told them furnace failure was due by “fault of the homeowner” for lack of maintenance. The technician KNEW we had only moved into our home less than 2 years ago and had a full inspection & good maintenance report of the whole HVAC system. We have never had issues with our warranty’s contractors before. So, we got a second opinion and hired a different company, had zero trouble with them, and saved money.

For having to rely on a warranty company through our relationship, Joe was incredibly fast at working on our issues. He was easy to contact, easy to work with, & compassionate of the situation we were in. Guys came about 40 minutes later than the original appt time - no big deal. Worked on the furnace for about 5 hours - did a real nice job with installing and building new part for filter. The new furnace looks so much better than the old one. They did a real nice job.

Joe was awesome and worked with us tirelessly as we battled our home warranty company for about a month. Once the parts were sent, he had the tear out and install completed in one day. He even returned the following week because the silicone seal had melted due to the humidity in the house at the time of the installation. Altogether a really awesome job.

After paying two different companies to repair my heat pump they came out and did a full inspection and found the thermostat wired wrong they fixed the issue and installed the bad transformer installed a fuse to prevent it from burning out again great service will use from now on
