Very rude. I called to ask if they had any trucks available, and was told no time soon and then was hung up on. How is that customer service? Do not recommend.

Rented a truck, parked the truck and returned the key in there drop box. They claimed they never got the key. Ok. Them being a budget rental and they also make keys they couldve made another key, instead they let that truck sit there more than a week losing money while also doing nothing. Me ans several other family members have had to call budget, locksmiths to get information on how to go about this, this location is absolutely useless in information, i go in to ask them if they have key codes so we can get the spare made.... They dont. My locksmith even asked them if they could reach out to budget, they claimed they didnt have any number for them and couldnt assist, its like is this a business because this is a joke. I will not be back and will never do business with budget again. Ive had to call and speak to several customer service reps and half of them dont know the codes either so they have to put you through to another department, we can dealing with this issue for a week now and if it wasnt for us constantly calling then they wouldve charged us for a week that we didnt even have a truck. Just go with uhaul from now on, if you lose the key they have the key codes and can easily fix this situation, which sucks since I watched the key get dropped in the drop box.

Placed a reservation weeks in advance because I was moving from SC to FL. Received a call on the day before pick up date, two days before my move that I’ve been planning for months. Now I’m calling places last minute to find a replacement and due to such short timing I will now have to pay almost double the price.Here’s something simple. If you don’t have the product, don’t advertise it like you do.People, check other places. There is a reason this location have such poor ratings. Don’t make the mistake I made.The more I think about it, I think management canceled my reservation so that they can rent to someone else at a much higher rate, like a last minute customer, such customer would pay double of what I got it for. Since mine was well in advance, the rate was very cheap $196 from Columbia, SC to Port Charlotte, FL.

I had a reservation to pick up a truck Saturday morning. These people called me Friday evening to tell me they have no truck for me. I called the main number at Budget so they could locate a truck for me but the reservation guy couldn’t do his job. He told me an inventory manager would contact me with the nearest location. I am writing this review 4 days later and still no call. I had to frantically find a truck at the last minute. There is nothing worse than having a deadline to move and have your moving truck company cancel on you. I will never place my faith in this company again.

I called to rent a truck with a liftgate or Tommy lift which is clearly advertised on the website when I spoke with the person he said they do not carry liftgate trucks or Tommy lift trucks clearly this is false advertisement!

I wish I was able to give negative stars. I called on a Monday and got a reservation, from an employee who stated it was their first time ever doing this after finished, no mention was ever made of payment or deposit to “lock in” the reservation. I called on Friday and confirmed that I in fact did have a reservation and was confirmed that my name and address were in for a reservation on Saturday April 21st with no mention of money for a deposit or payment. I arrive at 9am on Saturday to watch them give away my truck to a walk in customer because I “did not provide credit card information”. I was offered no alternative and no option to help with the situation. There are multiple reviews of the same issue. It’s not my fault you have incompetent employees and an even worse business. I have escalated this situation up the chain in customer service and will be pushing to get this location removed as a dealer or rental portal.

This location canceled my reservation about 2 hours before I was scheduled to pick up my truck. Avoid the headache, go elsewhere.

To bad i had to give them a star. We reserved a truck and they did not have one. They said it happens all the time! They are TERRIBLE! It got even worse too. They took $50 out of my bank account for a cancellation fee???
