We have loved working with Phase One on designs for our house! Everyone there is fabulous. Great communication and very professional. We had so many ideas but didn’t know where to start. Claire, who is an incredible listener, somehow took our jumbled thoughts , got creative and put it all together. We look forward to moving to the next “phase” and making the plans a reality. We met with CJ today to discuss a home reno. We had only ideas that we had discussed over the years but had no idea where to actually start. CJ came over and listened to our ideas, walked the house with us, and then gave us our moneys worth of advise and creative ideas. He had tons of knowledge and experience to share with us thinking about short term and long term goals of our projects. We riddled him with questions and he was quick to sketch things down for us to help us visualize and understand. He also offered a reality check on the scope and costs of projects we were considering. It was money well spent just to have that 1st meeting.

Amazing craftsmanship and design!

We did not end up using Phase 1, but it’s because they were honest and said our home value might not be increased by renovations. At the consultation, we discussed the major and minor design options, but they ultimately ended up giving us two realtor contacts to talk to in order to make sure that we weren’t making a mistake by pouring money into our house. The realtor agreed that we should probably sell, and we did! Less than a month after meeting with Pam and CJ!I’m sad we didn’t get to start a project with them, but I’m so grateful for their honesty and integrity! I would recommend them to anyone wanting to renovate, and I would especially recommend them to someone who needs some guidance in the design process. Their consultation left us with a clear path to follow whether we sold, did minor renovations, or did major renovations.Although we’re not doing a project with them now, I would absolutely choose them in the future. Also, if you’re on the fence, visit their office on Rosewood. They renovated it, and it’s gorgeous! Hopefully, my family will get to work with them in the future!

Phase 1 provided creative ideas in their design for remodeling my tiny Shandon kitchen. They discovered a chimney that could be removed to greatly enlarge my pantry. They were very perceptive of what I liked about my existing cabinets and made sure to support those features in the new design. They suggested new features for the kitchen such as a wine refrigerator and a pot filler over the stove. They provided a detailed plan and estimate for the remodeling and were enthusiastic about taking on the project.TFO Contracting Solutions followed the initial design with clever solutions to my concerns such as providing a cabinet spot for my tennis bag. Jon Crane was very helpful in taking the time to recommend appliances and fixtures to fit in with the new cabinets and my old home. The sub-contractors were very professional, skilled, and careful to clean up each day. And, they came back after the project was completed to attend to minor details.At the end of the project, we were only 1% over the original budget!My new kitchen is so functional and attractive.

We could not have asked for better partners and collaborators through phase one of our home renovations. I have worked with Pam Crane on many different projects over the past three years as one of her part-time designers. She is a pro. Phase 1 has been needed in the Columbia area for a long time! As a real estate professional so many of my clients want a certain house but can’t see past the structural issues that are getting in their way! The new office looks amazing, it really has a comfy and homey feel that most office spaces lack.

We hired Phase One to convert our screen in porch into a more useable space. We had a few ideas for the space and had met with a few other contractors, although we still felt kind of lost as what to do with the space. That all changed after meeting with CJ. CJ was very welcoming to our ideas and gave his valuable input as well until we came up with an option that worked for all of us. CJ was able to show us computer renditions of what our new space would look like and go over every detail before agreeing to terms. The timing of estimated start date, along with the finish date, were both right on point. The construction team was very professional and respected the rest of our space and lives like it was their own. They cleaned up before leaving each day and the team was very good about communicating on what was going on and their progress. CJ came by often to check on things and discuss with us as well. We didn’t get nickle’d and dime’d for small changes that needed to be done and weren’t included in the original quote. The final product was amazing and we are still extremely pleased with their work. CJ has kept in touch and was always available for any questions and concerns. We could not recommend them enough and would use them for future projects in a heartbeat.
