I am so happy I called this place. I was in dire need of help today and that’s exactly what I got. I have an important project to complete on my laptop and was unable to even open PowerPoint because my memory was too low. Researching on google made me think I needed to upgrade my internal memory and I was willing to pay what I needed to have that done. I spoke with someone at this shop who could have easily gotten my money, but instead he suggested I just buy an external hard drive to solve my problem. I came in with a SIM card stuck inside of my iPhone 8 Plus. The gentleman that assisted me was able to extract the lodged SIM card from my phone successfully without taking the device apart. Very Impressed!If you are a DJ, Music Producer, Content Creator or Video editor and are in need of computer servicing, I would encourage you to give them a call. As a music producer I am often mobile and depend on my laptop to do my work. Well this morning my trusty laptop began giving me issues that restricted my work flow and I found myself in need of a repair shop. Not wanting to travel 80 plus miles to the nearest brand store, I discover Experimax and decided to give them a try. Im so glad I did, not only was Eric able to resolve my issue and get me back to work quickly, but the overall customer service experience was impeccable.

Im so grateful for Experimax! I updated the OS on my 2016 Macbook Air and didnt back up the contents on an external drive. A few days later, my admin password stopped working and unfortunately FileVault was on! I stood to lose 4 years worth of files. I spent a long time with Apple support on the phone, online. Both times, their final recommendation was to just wipe out everything and start over. Fortunately, Experimax was able to rescue me. I had a password for the hard drive itself and Eric was able to boot the computer using another device, which allowed me to get access to the hard drive. He patiently let me hang out at the store uploading files into iCloud. Afterwards, I had the hard drive wiped out and installed Catalina. The cost was ~$87. Many thanks!

They are able to speak high tech and explain to those of us who have trouble working our phones. They are friendly and professional. They will tell you if the phone is not worth the repair cost. Came in to replace a bad swollen original battery on my late 2013 MacBook Pro and they got it done the same day. The replacement battery lasts longer than the original. Very pleased. The only place I go for all my Mac repairs.

BEST SHOP IN COLUMBIA! Seriously, you cannot believe how genuine this shop is. After going to best buy, apple, and other shops, they told me the dent I left on my iPhone 11 pro charging port was too risky and was going to cost $540 (without apple warranty). After giving most repair shops a call, this was the only place that genuinely cared to see if they could help. AND THEY FIXED IT IN TEN SECONDS. James, their employee is a great guy too, I definitely recommend this place 10/10.

Purchased a laptop 3 years ago. Great price! Very nice sales lady! Because of my limited knowledge she helped me set things up, answered all my questions, and told me to come by anytime if I had other questions. I have gone by and those who work there have always been helpful. Over the three years I’ve had two small issues, once with the computer and recently with the charger. They fixed/replaced what was needed at no charge! Great business and great people!!!

I went to get my macbook battery replaced in August, and recently it started leaking so I immediately put my laptop on ice. I called Experimax about the situation and they told me to bring it in to check the damage. I brought it in and they were able to replace the battery and fix any other problems the battery may have cause; Brandon even went out of his way to clean my screen! I think the experience was handled very professionally and I recommend them for and problems with your Apple products.

I came in to have a battery replacement they claim the replaced it but the phone worked bout a week so I took it bk wit the same issue to see if it was the port the guy shows me a screenshot of a port that wasnt even compatible to mine then says to me you may jist need to get another iphone or try to check another repair shop... Jist so happen Im out of town and I stop by a shop to see if they can fix it the young lady was very helpful n successful in getting my phone back working. And she dont have to change out the port all she did was change the battery... So this tells me at EXPERIMAX OF NE COLUMBIA did not change the battery. Very poor customer service as well as unprofessional I am very disappointed and will not refer anyone or advise anyone to go here!

I am 68 years old and am pretty computer literate but i had a problem that i could not work out. i went to experimax and the young man there fixed everything and was so knowledgeable and kind. they will always be my computer people.

I called Experimax in Columbia, SC (I live in Holden Beach, NC) Explained my problem (dead iPad 12.9 3rd Gen) My iPad wouldn’t charge. (Tried 4 different chargers ) After explaining all I had tried, he (Eric) suggested I try a low voltage charger. I then used a 5v (old) Apple charger, plugged it in and allowed it to sit on charge. After about an hour, the Apple logo came up. I left it on low voltage and it reached 72%. I then finished the charge with the 18v. Eric’s help was priceless! He didn’t have to suggest anything, and simply ship it to them, but he went out of his way to “try” something unusual! It was a wonderful touch of customer service!!! I’m sold, and will most certainly use them in the future! Well done Eric... thank you so much!!

Customer service was excellent .. prices are. reasonable and were the cheapest prices in Columbia everyone else wanted almost 300 or more to fix the screen on the iPhone XS Max!! Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to get there screen fixed

The staff was Incredibly helpful and patient, especially being one of the few Apple/tech stores open during COVID-19. The environment is safe with masks and sanitizer and the gentleman took the time to teach me how to manage computer issues at home as well. I will go hear for all future issues.

They could’ve easily scammed me and charged to changed the charging port, however in good conscience they told me they could clean the port out for $10. The other day my iPhone XS Max randomly froze up on me, and it was in an unresponsive state and I was gonna have to take it to the apple store (an hour or two away from me) which would’ve been going completely out the way for me but because I started looking for nearby phone repairing stores, I stumbled upon this place and saw the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed... Eric was excellent!!! I’m still so grateful for what he did. Somehow, he got my phone to respond and restart— which led to the home screen and it was working perfectly fine again. He also gave me some tips on how to possibly minimize that from happening again. I took my Apple Macintosh MacBook Air in to be repaired. We went to a grocery store down the road and got a call from them telling me that it was ready to pick up. We were gone about fifteen minutes. Went to the big box store geeks and they told me I needed to make an appointment to have my mac serviced. The one time fix package was going to be $149 to start. I came across the street here and had my Mac serviced for $49 and was done in a few hours. Great customer support and fast turnaround time! I ended up up grading my ram and changing my hard drive to ssd for greater speed and do not regret it! Highly recommend!

Drove all the way across town to sell them a 2017 MacBook Pro Touchbar Core i7 2.9ghz 512gb hdd with 16gb ram. They told me they dont buy anything that new even though its listed in the quote section of their website.

After spilling coffee on my eight-year old MacBook Pro, I took it to Experimax, on a friends recommendation.The stores service was superb. They were gracious and quick in getting my MacBook Pro back to me. Not only did they save my Mac from the coffee damage, but they cleaned the exterior, the keys, and the screen. Also, they firmed up some of the keys themselves. It actually looked and felt like a brand new Mac!I certainly will be recommending Experimac to all the Mac-folks that I know.

Took my iPhone 6 into them in January, the screen was shattered with tons of dead-spots, home button was missing, and I could head people on the other end of voice calls, only through FaceTime. it was basically running on fumes for months until the day of. I chose to take my 3 year old Macbook Pro here based on google reviews for a diagnoses. We were quickly told our computer was showing a CPU failure and were told the $1,200 computer was worthless. He offered to buy the screen for $100. I decided to get another opinion and take it to Wedge instead. It turns out the issue was only my hard drive being full and after changing the way my dropbox was syncing my computer was running fine. Im SO glad I didnt listen to the tech and sell my $1,200 for $100. I will not be coming back here.
