Excellent service, excellent rates. Called ahead and got an estimate for turn around time on my gigantic comforter. Brought it in as scheduled and was quoted a slightly earlier finish time. Got my text that it was ready an hour and a half or so earlier than my second estimate. My blanket looked brand new. Location was hard to find because of construction and the parking lot in front of 44 stone made me wish I brought my rock crawler but it was worth it. They even returned my item in a classy bag so when I come back next month I dont look like a crazy person wrapped in a blanket behind a resteraunt, excellent times.

The people I spoke to on the phone were very friendly and helpful. When I called and asked about getting my wedding dress altered, they said to come in anytime before 6. I went in the next couple hours, around 2-3pm, and there was another appointment scheduled. I wasnt told to make an appointment, but the seamstress was pretty rude about the fact that I didnt have an appointment, even though as I explained to her, Id called ahead and wasnt told to make an appointment. I figured that meant they were free all afternoon, which clearly wasnt the case. The seamstress made multiple remarks about this throughout my visit and made it clear she was upset. I understand that mistakes happen, but this woman really went above and beyond with multiple, repeated remarks.Still, she took my measurements and said shed get started. This was back in January 2020 and my wedding was scheduled for May. I was told Id get a call within six weeks about coming in for another alteration. Covid hit about 8 weeks later and I expected a call but didnt get one, so after about 10 weeks total, I called them. Left a voicemail, no reply. I waited a week, called again during business hours, left another voicemail, and finally got a call back within a day or two. When I picked up my dress, absolutely no work had been done on it. Thank goodness I wasnt planning on wearing my dress for a small ceremony as so many brides did. I totally understand not going on with alterations during a pandemic! But I think they should have been in communication about this, especially as they already had my measurements, my phone number, and didnt adhere to the timeline they gave me at all.Truly everyone I spoke to or interacted with was very polite and professional except for the seamstress. When its safe to have a wedding again, Ill be driving 4 hours round trip to an alterations place in Kansas City to avoid this place (and mostly the seamstress).

This place does not reimburse you for products they have ruined. Took an outfit here that was brand new to be cleaned. It has now been there 6 weeks and still nothing is being done. I’ve sent receipts for the outfit. It cost $100 when bought and now it’s ruined. Have yet to be reimbursed for the actual cleaning or for the money I spent on the outfit. It clearly says at the front counter that the products used do not causing fading or color bleed. That is a lie! Do not use them!

I brought them my only silk shirt to clean and they changed a 5mm coffee stain into a 12 inch stain and handed it back as if it was normal. When I asked them to reclean it, they offered no apology and were indignant and berated me, as if I was being the unreasonable one. When I got my shirt back, the stain was gone, but they had chipped every one of the mother of pearl buttons and caused several shirt snags and rents. I didnt want to be berated again or have them take a blade to my shirt the next time so I left in defeat.Im in tears. This is possibly the most expensive piece of clothing I own and I only wear it for job interviews. Ive always treated it very delicately because I dont have the means to replace it. And now its ruined and I want to cry every time I see my once lovely shirt. This place is horrible. The owner is a terrible human being. Do not bring your business here. Dont get your heart broken like mine.

Took Army uniform in to have alterations done. Poor job. There was a unrecognized rent in the fabric on the shoulder (350 dollar coat ruined). They also charged me more than I have ever been charged for similar alterations (32 years Army). On top of all this they are just dismissive to you as a customer. I would HIGHLY suggest you go somewhere else. This place needs to reevaluate customer service. Ill dont mind paying more for better work, service or speed this place does not perform on any of these.

I normally do my laundry on my own. I have a proper laundry and drying machine at home, but it broke down on me last week. I couldn’t get an appointment with the technicians so I ended up getting bringing my dirty laundry to this place and it wasn’t bad at all.

Our alterations have always been spot on! They take the time to do it right. At one point we took in a formal dress with a stain of unknown origin and they worked with us and the manufacturer to find a solution and clean the dress without damage.

Dropped by to have a pair of dress pants and shirt tapered. Popped in around 5:30 (they close at 6), and they took me in right away. I probably spent 30 minutes just chatting with Lori up until closing time. They are incredibly nice, and my outfit looks great. Prices were fair. They avoid using perchloroethylene, and choose a liquid silica based cleaner instead. There was no question that they were genuine, and take pride in what they do. What more could you ask for?

Excellent service. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Im short, so nearly everything I buy needs to be tailored. Ive tried several places, and I will stick with the French Laundry. Worth every penny to have it done correctly.

We brought my daughters wedding dress to be steamed before her wedding and they did a wonderful job. It was great to have their directions for transporting it and to have their help loading it into our minivan. It came out beautifully!

First off I am 39 years old and have never felt the need to write a review about anything ever in my life. Brought my $300 vintage Tommy Hilfiger button down that I purchased while in Europe to see if they could get a stain out of the sleeve. Not only is the stain still there but the entire white portion of the shirt is now red. The owner told me to take it back to the store. Then had the nerve to get an attitude and curse at me and ask if I wanted my 3.75 back. I should’ve listened to the other reviews. DO NOT GO THERE!

I was charged $143 to tailor a suit.Jacket and pants. I didnt think to get a quote. I should have. When questioned about the cost, I was told its a dollar a minute. Impossible to recommend based on the exorbitant cost.

Took my Army Service Uniform to them, and they completely failed. Pants hemmed an inch above my ankles and my shoulder strap mounts were sewn on like I was a Napoleonic General (shoulder to neck instead of front to back). Needless to say I have not, and will not ever go back to them because they ruined my Premium Marlow White package. I didn’t come back to Columbia for 6 months due to orders, and so I had to buy a new uniform on base.

Horrible service and only cater to snobby old women. I tried to have some pants hemmed today and since i spoke up to a rude lady I was dismissed by the owner. This is the last place you wanna go. Take your stuff to Splashers Laundry, Pauline will take care of you! Shes the best! Splashers people..... Go there and save your money!

The French Laundry altered my wedding gown (it was quite the intricate process) and did an outstanding job!! Laurie Ann and Rebecca (the seamstress) were both amazing. Laurie Ann really took her time with me and made sure the fit was flawless. She also is the most kind, sweet person!!! I was nervous to let anyone touch the dress, but I am so glad that I put my gown in the care of The French Laundry. The dress fit perfectly on my wedding day -- and they made sure the support bands fit perfectly, the tulle under-layers were not too long for me to walk easily, etc., down to the very last detail. Laurie Ann went above and beyond when I did not have a veil to go with the dress, so instead of spending $700 on a tulle veil (literally -- check stores like BHLDN haha), Laurie Ann made the most beautiful, twinkling cathedral veil with delicate lace to match my dress. It was so delicate and stunning!! Absolutely recommend The French Laundry for anyone looking for wedding dress alterations, now I wont even take my clothes anywhere other than The French Laundry for alterations!! THANK YOU Laurie Ann!!!

I brought a dress to get altered, I needed the hem line 2 inches higher. I was quoted $32 for the simple hem raise. Upon pickup, I learned it would be $40 on an alteration that was crooked and uneven. I would not recommend French laundry for an alteration.

I got a suit and shirt dry cleaned by them - the suit turned out fine but the shirt did not.The shirt is a color block shirt with a blue section and a white section. I had previously gotten this shirt dry cleaned by another dry cleaner and I had had no problems, receiving the shirt back in like new condition. This time, when I pulled the shirt out of the bad the next day to wear it, I noticed the blue had bled all over the white section and turned it into an ugly dirty color. When I called the store and brought the shirt back in, I had many questions:1 - Why did no one tell me my shirt was damaged when I had picked it up?Answer: We dont check every piece of clothing as we give it back to you.2 - Why was it damaged at your dry cleaning store and not the other store Id previously used?Answer: Maybe it was just the shirts day.3 - Is your dry cleaning process different?Answer: No, its not. But yes, it is green. But it was definitely the fabrics fault, because this fabric is known to do this.4 - Will you reimburse me for this expensive shirt that is damaged?Answer: No, it is not our fault. Try returning it to the store. Or we can try a few things that might work or might cause the shirt not to be able to be returned anymore.5 - Can you try to fix it before I leave for the trip for which I specifically bought the shirt?Answer: No, all of our dry cleaning equipment is down for several days and wont be back up until [after I have left].But not to worry - after a very involved phone call with the owner and then a trip back into the store to pick up the shirt the next day, she did refund me the $7.50 for the dry cleaning. Which I thought was very nice. Now, do I know if it was the fabrics fault or their fault that my shirt is now damaged? I have my opinions but certainly am not sure. However, I dont think it matters because I did learn a few things.1 - if the store knows its a fabric that could easily be damaged in their process, they will NOT let me know ahead of time so I can make an informed decision.2 - if they damage my clothes, they will NOT reimburse me for it.3 - their process is somehow different enough to damage shirts that had previously been fine at other dry cleaners.4 - their dry cleaning machines can be down for days at a time.5 - if they damage my clothes, they will NOT flag it for review and for letting me know when I come to pick it up.Bottom line - My $50 shirt is ruined, and I am in a tight bind for a trip Id previously thought myself prepared for. I have experience telling me that I would not have been in this situation had a simply chosen another dry cleaner in town. Either way, I will not gamble on this dry cleaner again.
