My stylist Ms.Tosha was the best stylist ive ever had& i was very pleased with her work. She was kind, she listened& she produced! Love Ms.Tosha skills!

I used to get my haircut at this place and liked it but after the virus closure it looks like the price of the haircut went up and when I walked in I saw a notice of an additional $3.95 fee posted on the wall for cleaning their station between customers. Thats a money grab scam if ever I saw one. You have to clean between customers anyway. I went to harbison instead. No higher prices and no extra charge for cleaning their stations between customers. I work for a hotel in town and we dont charge our customers extra for cleaning the hotel.

Very friendly staff. Sometimes you have to wait but they wouldnt be busy if they were not good. They currently take appointments due to the virus but can work you in if it is during the week and not busy. If they are you can shop at Walmart for a little while and go back so it works out. I always go there for my haircut. Its convenient to other businesses nearby I like.

Once again, Ms. Nicole did an amazing job on my natural hair.I have not put any heat in my hair for 4 months and let me tell you, my thick and naturally curly hair was past due for a good wash with a deep conditioner plus trim.And who else to go to for this needed appointment, but Nicole!She worked wonders. She gave me an amazing jet black color, deep conditioner, plus an amazing blowout! I was surprised at how straight she was able to get it! Let me tell you her top of the line styling tools will get the job DONE!She also trimmed my hair (and did not get scissor happy at all) and I still had great length.My hair was bouncy and full of body!If you are in the Columbia area you have to go see Ms. Nicole! She will leave you looking like a new person with an AMAZING blowout!

Had an appointment at 2 pm got there at 1:55 pm and was told it would be a 20 minute wait so I went and shopped around Wal-Mart. Went back at 2:25 pm and was told they would be with me in a few minutes. That few minutes turned out to be another 20 to 25 minute wait. When I went to pay I was charged $3.95 sanitization surcharge for them to sanitize their salon. Why should I be charged for something they should already be doing? I work for a foodservice retailer and we sanitize every 30 minutes and dont charge our customers. This one is close to my house but I dont plan on coming back until these issues get resolved. You need to post or have stylists tell consumers about the extra charge instead of sneak g it in at the end.

Nicole is an amazing stylist. This is my second time returning to her. I have natural hair that is extremely thick and curly. Nicole is the only stylist in Columbia, that can get my hair smooth and straight with her high quality blowouts. She uses top of the line products and the best styling tools to ensure that my blowout is smooth, silky and shaky. If you want a good blowout on natural hair, I would highly recommend seeing Nicole.

Today, I made a 3:30 appointment online and drove 20 minutes to this location and was 5 mins early to be told that they were no longer accepting appointments! I asked if my appointment made was invalid and was told yes.This is ridiculous. I’m not sure about others by my time is valuable and I find this very unacceptable. I will not be visiting this location again.

Never... Never... Never again!!! Hack Job does not even begin to describe my haircut. I thought it was a mediocre haircut at best when I first got out of the chair and as usual I tipped generously but when I got home and took a shower, failure of epic proportions! The left side of my head was short the right side of my head was long and when I say long I mean nearly an inch longer than the rest of my head. No wonder these stylists work inside of a Walmart probably my fault for trying it in the first place.

Very much trained saloonist. All equipment in place. Maintained neat and clean. Can be much better by adding some music stuff and playing as per customer requirement.

Terrible job.She didnt even do a good job on my hair. Just stood there with one hand moving up and down, lazily, not caring for details nor caring for my hair type.Shes the biggest fattest Black stylist one.I tipped the lady and she didnt even say thanks. Just took it and put it in her pocket. I will never tip at this place again, if I go here, which I wont plan to.Never again and Id highly advise against this place.

Tuesday, July 16, 2013 -- 12:45 p.m.On a spur of the moment, I wanted a quick bob haircut. Where can I go to obtain this (???). SmartStyles Family Hair Salon (located in WalMarts Bush River Road location) came to mind and I made plans to attend a few moments of my lunch hour there. There was no wait time upon arrival (YES!!) and met hair stylist LaPrecious. After a 5 minute consultation, LaPrecious put her skills to work and she did a FANTASTIC JOB!! I am very pleased with my hair and it flows with so much volume and body.

I just like to get my hair washed.
