Highly recommended. Many shops would not work on my car with it being foreign parts. They had no issue. Stayed in constant touch responded quickly to all my inquiries and concerns and used plenty of tech to keep me aware of the process and where we stood. Highly recommend.

We have been dealing with Brown for over 10 years. We have two BMW Series after the warranty runs out Brown Motors Works is the only places we deal with. Always great prices, and outstanding customer service.. They give you a detail layout of what is wrong with your vehicle with pictures of location so you know its right the first time. Any foreign car dont hesitate to call on them you will be happy you did.

I was generally satisfied with the service on my Volvo.It was serviced on a Friday and as a result they did not have time to wash it before I came to pick it up. They are closed on the weekends and I needed the car. More significantly they did not call me to obtain approval for the total charge which was far greater than the pre-authorized amount. Otherwise all went well. They were courteous, accommodating and professional

I used the early drop off box, left my keys and they called me around 2pm to let me know everything was completed! I got a nice complimentary car wash and text message to show my truck and what services were performed. When I picked up my truck the guy in the office was super friendly and even gave me a cozy! I will be bringing my Range Rover back for all services!

I had my front and rear brakes and rotors replaced on my 2013 BMW 335 XI at another repair facility because I was experiencing brake shudder in my steering wheel and a pulsing in my brake pedal. After having those services performed, I was still experiencing the problem. I brought my vehicle to Brown Motor Works on Clemson Road and the technician diagnosed the problem as being defective control arms. The control arms were replaced in a timely manner and at this time it feels as though the problem has finally been corrected.

Brown Motor Works serviced my BMW 128i with an oil change as well as replacing the Oil Filter Housing gasket. I received LITERALLY the most extensive Inspection Report Ive ever seen from a repair, shop including major dealerships. The report included detailed photos of the areas needing work/repair, including estimated costs. The recommended work was even listed by priority. To top it all off, a free carwash and a key dropbox with a code allowing me to pick my car up after hours. Tremendously satisfied customer here, and I will definitely be making them the exclusive repair shop for my BMW.

Had a engine oil housing filter leak which lead to tons of problems like needing the cooling system replaced. They ordered the parts immediately to get me back on the road and I appreciated it that fact. I was aware that I had a hpfp issue and I went ahead and got that issue squared away. Experience was working with this business was great but I dont know who supply their parts but they are extremely pricey.I had to drive back to North Carolina the following day and half way in the drive I received a code for a cylinder 5 misfire, but I believe thats due to more of a load, with a new hpfp fuel pump. After changing the spark plugs when I got home. The problem disappeared.

Very friendly with awesome customer service. The online update was not updated through out the week. My car stayed for 6 days and no update online. I received a call the same day I dropped my car off that a part had to be ordered and would be there on next business day. So after I did not receive a call or the online information was not updated, I called on day 6. I called at 7:30 am and I was told they were still waiting on the part. I then received a call at 9:45 that my car was ready for pickup and the online system was updated to say ready for pickup. Everyone has told me, they forgot about my car because I was a nice & easy going customer. I just hope that is not true, because I plan on using them again.

I did experience one negative thing which was lack of communication with this establishment. I dropped off my White 2013 Land Rover off on a Friday around 8:00 am. I didn’t get any contact from BMW until after hours which was an email. I had my work badge in my vehicle which is mandatory at the Post Office in order to get inside the building or work. I called all weekend and left messages which I couldn’t get a hold of anyone so I could retrieve my work badge. This attempt was unsuccessful. Hopefully this is improved so no one else experiences this issue. I only had one key for my vehicle. Everything else was fine. The professionalism, curtesy, and very detailed email on what needs to be repaired on your vehicle. Truly astonishing.

I believe Brown Motor Works does excellent work however; I had issues with the quote I received. I was told the battery for my 2015 X6 would cost $350 plus tax. I was also told (without asking) that they would provide a diagnostic review and that this was free of charge. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I had several additional charges and my bill was ~$500 and that included my $25 coupon for signing up for text messages. There were also other fees. This was an issue because I asked in advance what the charges would be. There were some other charges as well for materials or something similar. Once again ... this should be quoted when asking for the price. I still ended up paying ~$400 when it should have been about $346 when you factor in the taxes and coupon applied to $350. When I disputed the charges I was told that they had to perform this to make sure it was the battery and that is fine BUT I should have been told. This would have allowed me to do more price comparisons with different companies. In my case, I was out of town in Columbia as I live in the DC area and I faithfully take my car to the BMW dealership for regular service so I didn’t need a diagnostic as I knew with certainty that I needed a battery as my car sends service needs to my dealer. As, I said my charges should have been ~$346. Outside of this issue the people who work here are professional, nice and courteous. They are customer oriented and I believe they did excellent work on my 2015 X6. My advice to Brown Motor Works is to wear a mask when assisting customers during COVID and quote the real price of services.

From day one they learned my name. This is a great tool to have especially during this time of a pandemic. There are many things that has to be juggled and this report I received from BMW made it that much more easier to manage. They have earned my business and to put the last nail in the coffin. I was told I needed a new transmission and that it could only come from Germany at 6000 dollars. When my warranty company wouldnt pay they then told me they could get a rebuilt one here for 3400. They were intentionally trying to get more money. Then I was given a price of 1050.00 and when I picked it up it was 1215.00. They only give up to 25 dollars off for military. This ended up costing me more than if I had the BME dealer do the work. Lastly their emailed copy of the estimate and bill is hard to understand and doesnt even equal as you add it up

Had alarm go off for collision warning system. Called and Brown’s helped me get the alarm turned off and assess the car to be safe before taking it in. The battery was low because the alternator was failing. In addition, a sensor on one wheel for the collision warning system had failed. Browns did a thorough diagnostic of the car and did some needed maintenance too. I like their diagnostic process because it identifies issues before they become problems on the road or catastrophic like a transmission failure. Browns provided a loaner and stayed open a little late so I could pick the car up after work. I get a text at various steps throughout the process and they provide excellent advice. My car has about a 168,000 miles on it and I am confident that it is safe to drive across town or across the country.

I brought my vehicle in for a post purchase inspection. My vehicle was operating very well other than the horn and intermittent wipers not working. Brown Motor Works did a thorough inspection and detailing everything in writing and pictures that needed to be repaired, suggested to be repaired and items that needed no attention. All repairs were also presented with approximate costs which was a good surprise. The gentleman that completed the inspection also explained every item on the list.My only complaint is that I initially brought my vehicle in because the horn and intermittent wipers werent working and on the checklist it stated that they were checked and in working order. I was disappointed at this because they were and are not working. I learned a while ago that theres no need to pay attention to to large details if you dont pay attention to the smaller details.With that being said, because of their professionalism and customer service, Im sure Ill still use them, and would recommend them. Ill just keep a closer eye on what they say theyve done. A good experience overall.

My car had a catastrophic failure when the serpentine belt failed due to a water pump with worn bearings. I called several Columbia and Lexington Beamer service shops, and felt the most comfortable dealing with Brown Motor Works Northeast and Kyle. This was my first major service experience with this car, and I wanted the work done correctly and thoroughly. My repairs were done quickly, accurately and affordably. I am soooo happy to have my little roadster back, as I had forgotten what it was like to zip through traffic and drive a fun car - complete opposite of my truck. I am grateful for the good experience I had with them, and although I don’t want major service issues popping up very often, when they do, I’ll be back.

You know the age old saying... “You get what you pay for”. This was the case when I took my VW Passat through “Take 5 Oil Change”. After they completed my oil change, my oil light immediately came on and they had no idea what they did or how to fix. So I took my car the Browns and they fixed the issue. They also informed me that “Take 5” also put in the wrong filter. Lesson learned and it serves me right for trying to safe a dollar. I’m taking my car to get oil changes at Browns from now on.

My family and I have been going to BMW in Irmo for 20+ years. We have always received excellent service and quality of repairs from them. So when I moved to the other side of town it was a no-brainer to try to use BMW here. Unfortunately the professionalism, prices, and quality are not comparable. I say that it’s worth driving 45 minutes to Irmo. This location is over priced and uncaring. I have now tried to use them three times, and only hired them once. Each time when I have gotten second quotes from other Auto Repair Shops it has been less than half the price of what this location quoted me. Make sure you are aware when going to this location!

I will never take my vehicle back to the Volvo dealership for services. Recently, I was given a quote to repair my 2018 Volvo XC90, which I wasnt too keen about. A neighbor told me about BMW, as he had good experiences, when taking his Mercedes there. He told me that it would be cheaper to repair at BMW and theyd provide great service. I gave it a shot, calling them on Wednesday afternoon to setup a diagnostic appointment for the following day, Thursday at 2 pm. I was very impressed when they offered a loaner vehicle. I picked the loaner vehivle up at 2 pm and by 5 pm, they called to tell me the diagnostic was done and they would momentarily email the detailed results of the diagnostic, to include the cost to repair each issue. The diagnostic highlighted and described all that were GREEN (good with my vehicle), and RED (issues that needed addressed or repaired). I have never received a detailed diagnostic like this at Volvo, they always tell me what they found and how much the overall repair will cost.I called BMW the next morning, when they opened, to give them the go ahead with all the repairs. While the repairs totalled $1200, I am confident, BMW was cheaper than Volvo, and they probably would have maxed me out at $1800 for that particular service. BMW texted me around 1 pm - the repairs were complete! Now, this is what I call FAST service (less than 24 hours)! They didnt drag out the process. Ill never take my car back to Volvo. Thanks, BMW, for caring for my vehicle and providing me a great repair experience. Ill recommend you to family and friends.

Poor value. Quotes were very high (comparable to dealer rates). Roughly $600 for maintenance (oil and filter change and inspections that they purported to already cover under their complementary inspection), $950 for a transmission fluid change (with fluid and filter). Service was just okay. I had to call repeatedly to get status updates. Car was not ready when originally promised. Just not great service and poor value.

Absolutely not! I had my oil change here before when I first moved here in October on my Audi. I called to ask if they could check my oil before I drive 10 hours. They said they cant do it and dont top off oil. Bad service. I am so glad to be moving oil of Columbia. I went over to 10 minute oil change and they checked it for me with no problem with great service so I will be safe on the road.I would rather go to 10 minute oil change or the Audi dealer. Think twice before bringing your luxury car to this place.

I was greeted promptly by a warm, kind smile by Mr.Griffin! He definitely made sure that I was taken care of. He explained everything to me from start to finish, and was so professional and understanding. I was shocked to find out that they would pay for an Uber to take me home! He also explained thoroughly about the financing option that was available. Every year they go through them completely to identify needs but never recommend things that do not need repair. I have and will continue to recommend them to everyone. Glad to see Mike is back because he is a difference maker! Jim did a good job for me as well this year!

I called Brown Motor Works just before the Christmas holiday and they explained they had a lot of work that they were trying to get completed before the 23rd. Keith told me if I could get the car in the shop on the 19th they would try to get it out as soon as possible. They under promised but over delivered. I got my car back within 26 hours and we had our vehicle ready to travel out of town for Christmas. Outstanding service and customer care.
