First off, shout out to Levi! While we did not work directly with him, he greeted us when we came in and explained lots of things. This was followed by him asking if we had previously worked with any other sales people before. We told him we had and he thanked us for our business and directed us to Doris. He was very personable and knew his stuff.Second, Doris was great. She literally put together about five different quotes for us because we were complicated. Communication was excellent from start to finish. There was no pressure at any point.The carpet installer (Leonardo) and his crew were great to work with. They were professional, on time, and did an amazing job. We had no issues at all. Install was a breeze and, honestly, the installers worked their tails off! They deserve a raise!!! Great work ethic and we would certainly recommend his team to others.Lastly, the carpet feels amazing and looks fantastic. We couldn’t be happier!Overall, we would use Carpet Exchange again.

We just had the main floor completed with the same luxury plank tile our upstairs was finished with last month, as well as new carpeting for our stairs. Our entire house looks fabulous, as these pictures show. Lisa S., our salesperson was so helpful throughout the process, making sure we were scheduled properly and made sure the installation went smoothly. Both crews (Jeremy and Joe in December followed by Bob and Rhett in January) were incredible. We HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this business!!!

We purchased carpet for the living room and bedroom in an apartment we are building, as well as for our tiny house. Everyone at Carpet Exchange was over-the-top friendly and Dave, the manager, was so knowledgeable and professional. The installer, Lico, did a fabulous job, especially in the living room where he had to cut around the flagstone on our hearth, which is very uneven. We appreciated the fact that he vacuumed all of the carpet when he was finished. He was so polite and professional that we gave him a $50 tip. Thank you, Dave, Lico, and all the folks at Carpet Exchange on North Academy. We would definitely recommend this store!

Doris was extremely helpful, polite and overall...a professional! Talking about about Customer Service is not the same as delivering and Doris delivered. She kept us informed concerning the status of our order and the arrival. Great job Doris!

My wife and I didn’t even consider Carpet Exchange. I initially received 3 quotes: one from a Carpet Warehouse, one from a licensed contractor on Craigslist, and one from Home Depot. We were driving by Carpet Exchange as we discussed HD’s lack of customer service (the woman at HD couldn’t be more unhelpful if she tried). So, we stopped by Carpet Exchange and met Randy. He was really helpful, not at all pushy, and explained the different grades/weaves of carpet and underlay (pads) and their pricing. We priced something similar at all establishments ... about middle of the road (a massive step up from our contractor grade). And we set up an appointment for measuring.The gentleman that came by to do the measuring was on time, polite, ex-Navy, and as friendly as could be. What a massive difference between him and the other company’s estimators/measurers (HD had charged $50 for an estimate, in hindsight it was such a rip off). We discussed all the work that was needed, some of it custom (we did wood risers on our stairs), and he was very helpful and easy to work with. Their measurements were within 10 sq feet of two of the other company’s measurements. Weirdly enough, Home Depot’s measurement was almost 200 square feet higher than all the other companies.The quotes that returned were all within a few hundred (except for HD – they were almost $1200 more even with free installation). But the Carpet Exchange experience, thus far, was much better than with anyone else. Randy offered us a military discount to sweeten the deal so, after a little bit of discussion, we paid for the full install and went with them. Their hard floor installer (Matthew J) showed up about a week later (Saturday) to do all the risers. They were very helpful, professional, and pleasant to work with. And had all the stairs complete within a few hours.And this past Saturday, Jose came by to do the carpet install. He, and his crew, were un-believably efficient and professional. Their work ethic was outstanding. We only had one issue … he was afraid that we were shorted carpet and wouldn’t have enough. We called and spoke to Dave. Dave was outstanding … arranging for more carpet to be delivered and a new install date to finish. But Jose worked so efficiently, with almost zero offcuts and waste, that he was able to complete the job with barely a foot to spare. Since their measurements were so close to the other companies, I am inclined to think that maybe the warehouse that provided the carpet may have shorted them a few yards.Overall, my experience with Carpet Exchange has been so positive that I will recommend them to everyone I know. And honestly, if you went with another company (like I initially considered), I think you paid too much. They will be the first company I call for any floor needs moving forward. This review is a small token of my appreciation for a business that is doing things right.

Overall the installation for both the vinyl plank and carpet projects went great! Weve never gone through the buying carpet process and it was not as stressful as I imagined! Greg our sales guy was not pushy and helped us pick a beautiful new carpet that will last for years and years! Our home feels like a whole new house! The guy who measured initially, measured incorrectly and we didnt get enough carpet the first day of install. But carpet exchange didnt fret over it and make us pay the difference. They ordered the remaining amount and had it installed the following week! I am really grateful they didnt expect us to pay the difference because we got a higher quality carpet that costed more than I thought it would. But Im happy with the finished product! If I could give this business 100 stars I would! From the beginning of our home flooring project with Lisa (sales) to the end installation by Jeremy and Joe, my wife and I couldnt be more satisfied. The new flooring (Luxury Vinyl Planking) looks ABSOLUTELY EYE-POPPING STUNNING!!! And the pricing by Carpet Exchange is quite reasonable (about mid-range based on several estimates we received). Cant wait to complete our next flooring project which weve already scheduled with Lisa.

Levi Sprengle was great! He was super helpful and courteous and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We brought him a sample from a box store and he was knowledgeable about what products would be similar to it. Ended up with better quality. Would definitely recommend Levi and Carpet Exchange.

Rating two stars instead of one star because the sales associates we met seemed kind and genuine about wanting to help us find carpet. That said, the rest of our experience with Carpet Exchange was not good. We went in to them looking for a carpet install for our basement. We have finished it ourselves and so are well aware of the measurements of the rooms and the total square footage. This is where our experience went downhill. Upon coming and measuring our basement, they determined that we would need to purchase 250 square feet more than the size of our basement (more than 40% again the total square footage. We questioned having that much waste as it added on about $1000 to our total spend, to which the store manager insisted that was a very efficient use of carpet and really couldnt be improved. We went down the street to another carpet company for a second opinion, and after looking at our blueprint they calculated a more reasonable amount of less than 100 extra square feet. They installed today and it is beautiful with some extra left over. I would not trust Carpet Exchange to measure flooring for me again in the future, especially if I dont know how much I need. And on a final side note, our initial quotes were given to us with just one square yard of pad so we were dealing with being bait and switched into a much higher price than the first estimate to top it all off. I cant speak to the quality of their work or the carpet they sell, but our experience was that Carpet Exchange employs some pretty shady tactics for a higher sale.

Overall good experience. Lisa (sales) was great to work with. She was very helpful. We had tons of questions and she answered them all. The guy who came out to measured was not very good, because if him we had 13 extra boxes of material left! Lisa made it right with us and gave us a credit for those returned boxes. Heard later he no longer worked for the company. The installers Jeremy and Joe were great! They made our house look amazing!

Great experience. Very knowledgeable salesman (Dave H.). He steered us toward a carpet that wasnt the most expensive but the best solution to our needs. In fact, we liked the first bedrooms carpet so much we went back and carpeted the entire basement with the same carpet and padding.Installers showed up on time and did great work. In fact worked until 8 pm in order to finish it. Cleaned up before they left.

Please be sure to discuss upfront how Carpet Exchange conducts their installation of Luxury Vinyl flooring on top of concrete sub flooring. According to the COREtec website, a vapor barrier is recommended for concrete subfloors as moisture can get trapped under the 100% water proof planks. Carpet Exchange claims this is not the industry standard (though I have yet to speak to ANY floor installer that would agree) and after two years I now find myself with a very big mess on my hands.I had a crack in one of my COREtec planks so I had it pulled up by a hired handy man and what we found underneath was absolutely outrageous. There was so much moisture trapped between the concrete subfloor and the planks that mold and mildew had grown and the smell was terrible! The planks looked rotted at the bottom. We immediately contacted Carpet Exchange, since we of course had no idea they had not laid down a vapor barrier, and we were informed by our original Salesman, Dave, that the way in which the floors were installed were indeed the way they were supposed to be.I have contacted COREtec directly and received a copy of the installation instructions from 2 years ago. It clearly states “while COREtec is waterproof, it’s not a moisture barrier.” Dave, don’t try telling people that’s what the cork is for under the planks. You may have gotten by with not properly installing floors for others but I sure hope this warning will keep others from throwing away hard earned money so you can get a sale.

Their lack of communication and complete disorganization was a nightmare. The first rep I worked with blamed everyone else for his incompetence. The accounting was never quite right and I constantly had to ask for proof. Do not recommend at all.

From beginning to the end my experience was excellent. The sales man to the installers. Ive recommended them to all my friends.

I like the carpet but the experience hasn’t been so great. Lots of poor communication. Sales promised me an install date and completion date. It wasn’t met and I walked into my new house ready to move in with floors completely ripped up, tools everywhere and a mess. Installers weren’t done until late the following day. I had to change our movers around and pay them extra because the move took longer. Installers told me that sales never said anything about someone moving into the house. Then, I had asked them to come back to fix a spot where the carpet was popping up in a door way. I hadn’t heard from anyone and had to email a second time. That time installers came back to fix. I now have a second place where carpet seam is coming apart and emailed sales to ask them to come fix. Sales told me they would have installers reach out. Now two weeks later I still haven’t heard anything. I paid a lot for this carpet and install. It just shouldn’t be this difficult.

Randy listened to our wants and needs and carefully made sure he understood our priorities. He preceded to show us an appropriate assortment of carpet, counter top, and rug possibilities. The estimates were thorough, well planned, and quick. Randy communicated well both in person, on the phone, through text and email. He left nothing to chance. We have been pleased with the outcome.

This store and the store up north did the impossible. We had a tight window of time we needed the carpet installed (within the same week we inquired a quote) and somehow miraculously they fit us in 3 days later. The carpet was installed in a day and the guys that did the work were friendly, professional and efficient. For as stressful as it all was I could not have asked for a better experience. They also beat pricing of both lowes and Home Depot. 10/10 would recommend!

We worked with Randy S., for a couple of weeks to get new LVP and carpet for our home. Everything from his communication, friendliness, and professionalism was fantastic. Randy even made our store visit quite fun for our three young kids. We had some miscommunication with the installers and Randy was quick to correct the issues. Starting off a $5k+ sale for countertops by scolding a customer about the way they wear their masks probably isnt the best idea. Luckily there are plenty of other options in Colorado Springs for countertops.

A different carpet supplier installed stairway carpet for us and when we went back to have them finish all the bedrooms and hallway we were told the carpet was no longer available. Randy, at Carpet Exchange, found us carpet that is better quality and matches the existing stairway carpet. The crew that did the installation were polite, professional, and cleaned up appropriately. We are now having them install hardwood throughout our ground floor!

Overall good experience, competitively priced. Our sales rep, Lisa, went out of her way to discount a higher-priced, higher-quality carpet to fit our budget, which we very much appreciated. We love the look and feel of our new carpet and are so glad we didnt settle for a cheaper style.Installation quality is good, Ive been searching for seams for a week or so and still havent found any. They are very impressively hidden. The installers left some scratched and cracked baseboards and a small dent in two walls from the handle on their power stretcher I assume. One of them helped themselves to the sodas in my downstairs pantry then hid the can in the back of my utility closet. Really not a big deal but didnt leave a great impression.

Randy was amazing. He was always instantly available and responsive. Really appreciate all the help and guidance.

If I could rate zero I would. Worst service and judgment Iv ever had. Andy who was suppose estimated The house. Confirmed text that today WOULD NOT WORK DUE TO HOME OWNERS MOVING. Still went. Got call from them saying he was extremely rude. Wife called he’s rude to her On the phone. She calls dave the sale man. And dave tell her he doesn’t have time to deal with kids and that this is adult talk. We are buying a carpet out right and where doing a whole 4 bedrooms and stairs. I would strongly say no to going here for any carpet or any tint rude staff.

We had an excellent experience with the folks at Carpet Exchange. We worked with several folks there but Marsha was our main salesperson. She was terrific and really put in the effort to earn our business. We were remodeling a room and Marsha helped to make sure we had the tile we needed. It was delivered when promised and in excellent shape! We would definitely go there again for our tile needs!

We were greatly impressed with the knowledgeable sales rep. The pricing was excellent for the quality of LVT we chose. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that delivery wasnt clear to us. Since we are self installing the flooring was also self pickup which was an issue since we dont have a truck.

There was an error made on my order. When I called and explained the situation, there was an immediate apology and the problem was resolved without hesitation. After shopping for our kitchen backsplash at other local companies my neighbor recommended carpet exchange. They found the tile I was looking for half the price everywhere else. Thank you Randy and Joel for all your help.

Sorry I gotta give them one star! Do not make any important plans with this company! Total incompetence, layered on top of arrogance.I ordered engineered hardwood for a level of my house more than a month in advance of my move-in date, paid for it, and was told it would be in in one week and that I could pick it up any time. I was also told that if I needed any more, they keep plenty around and I could just come back and get more.A week later, my salesman called me to see if I was still planning on buying the floor I had been looking at. He got my number when I bought it and then forgot why he had it. I had to remind him Id be in in another couple weeks to pick it up. He said, no problem.About another 10 days later (a week before I needed to pick it up and take it to the home), I decided to add two more cases of flooring to my purchase to be sure Id have more than I needed to acclimate it to the site, and they said, if everything goes alright, it may be here the first week of next month…Two weeks after I needed to pick it up. A week after my move-in date. Five weeks after I ordered it. Had I not added more, I never would have been (accidentally) told.I called the manager and he gets the “bad service of the year” award. He said he couldn’t get the floor and I simply said that I would need to get a refund. So he said, “that’s fine and dandy with me”. His attitude was completely unsurprising given the way the store was being run.They had no knowledge of their product but could bad mouth their competition with the best of them. I only dealt with them because they had the flooring I liked but from the greeting to the refund, it was a nightmare. Steer clear!

Dave did a great job of letting us pick out our flooring and the turnaround time from order to pick-up was phenomenal.

Worst service experience ever. Ordered carpet with a quick delivery turnaround and two months later still no carpet. The wrong color was delivered three times and I finally accepted the third wrong carpet to get it done. Some sales people wouldnt follow up, install times were scheduled but not communicated to me, or they would tell me a time and not stick to it. Several more projects were planned with them but no way will I move those forward with Carpet Exchange.

Job was done fast and professional but I had a problem with their payment policy. We had to pay everything upfront and the salesperson was rude and unprofessional. We paid with checks and he did not even trust that our checks would clear. He verified both our checks to see if they would clear right in front of me and my wife. I think maybe he thought these Mexicans dont have 2 pennies to rub together. I will never use them again, or recommend to friends.

Our experience was fair. The staff was friendly, carpet looks great and the price was fair. My only complaint is scheduling. They scheduled us for the a.m. and forgot to tell us they changed our time so I sat around waiting most of the day.

Terrible customer service. Was not helpful at all and didn’t take us seriously about wanting to purchase laminate flooring. Also prices are much higher than Lowe’s or Home Depot

My wife just a bad experience where the salesman was talking down to her and being condescending because she was a woman and asking questions. She was looking at hardwood samples and was going to get a 1700 sq2 quote. She left and got quotes elsewhere.
