Lived there for just under two years and never experienced any major disturbances. Relatively quiet, well-kept property with decent amenities for the price. If we ever had a problem, maintenance was very quick to come take a look. Only complaint would be the water issues, which never seemed to end - water would get shut off for half a day every few weeks or so for repairs. Still, decent price, great management, and an excellent maintenance team.

Definitely the best apartments we’ve rented from! We stayed for about three years and have nothing but good to say. We’d still be there if we didn’t have to move out of state! Maintenance was always super quick to handle any normal wear and tears and management is super sweet always. We loved heather and Jessica. (: thank you guys so so much for being so awesome!!!!!

Affordable place. I had to move in short time duration and Heather was very helpful and made the process easier and faster. The apartment is not bad for the price you pay. Resident mind their own business and not bother each other. Hope it will stay the same way.

Village East has been a great place for my family to live. We have been here for just over a year and have had no complaints. The office / maintenance personnel are very nice and always very helpful. The maintenance guys are always quick to handle my work orders and are very polite. The grounds are kept nicely and the complex stays very quiet. I would definitely recommend Village East to others who are looking for apartments!

We live two year in different building, we have to give a two star because our storage is gone my value stuff and kids clothes what we need, it all gone... i did info that them, and they say they did put a warning paper on storage door but my building is in other side which is we are not notice any because landlord didnt put our name on storage list! even landlords worker cleaned my storage out without let me know and throw my things away!!! and offered me a $50 off on my rent bills or get me new storage. thats soo bad offer ever i seen, guess what? landlord did admit that im not just one this happened to me, theres many people complained about lose theirs things from storage, and landlord still doing it.... so beware of storage scam!

I havent dealt with many other employees in the leasing office, but Heather has always been extremely helpful when it comes to any of my concerns. Anytime I have ever had a concern, she immediately has a solution for me. Super attentive to anything Ive ever asked for or needed!

Ive been living here for a week and so far no problems as I can tell. Things were repaired at a timelymatter! The management is super nice, people seem to keep to themselves and its quiet. The laundry room is a pretty far walk but other than that this seems like a great place to live so far. They do not take the deposit from you when you apply. You pay the fees for your application

These apartments are fantastic. They are quiet for the most part. Of course there are sounds of children playing outside and the occasional dog that won’t stop barking but that is life. If you want complete quiet you’d need a place in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors.I have moved cross country several times in my adult life and I never had better apartment management than here. They take you very seriously when there are problems and they take care of things quickly and are always courteous.There are maintenance issues from time to time, naturally. What I love is that the maintenance crew doesn’t leave you waiting for foerever. They are far from lazy and they do a good job of fixing the issue. They work hard and it shows big time.I was absolutely impressed with this complex and consider it a diamond in the rough. To think that I almost didn’t give it a second glance online because of the absolutely horrible reviews posted already. I’m so glad that I didn’t listen because I would have missed out on a great place.

I love this place! I just got the new remodeled apartment and everyone is going to love the upgrade to hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and safe. The neighborhood is buzzing with young families. I feel lucky to live in such a great place. Oh...did I mention the beautiful view or the wonderful elementary school right next door.😁

Thats the worst management possible, I lived the in 2014 and left in 2015. Without owing them a dime. Some months after I moved to another state they said that there was an issue with my apt application cause village east. I called them talked to them and the said that everything was good and that I didnt have to worry. And now 4 years after Im trying to change apt and I learned that village east send my account to collection and the worst is that when I tried to talk to the lady she straight up hang up the phone on me!

I lived at the apartments for 2 solid years and loved it. Maintence requests were almost the next day or same day depending on when I put it in from the portal. I am a single mom and money was always tight for me, pay check to paycheck after some car problems and had a few months in a row I was going to be late on my rent and they worked with me. And even now, because I owed on some carpet repairs, they are still working with me so I can still take care of myself and pay them off. I have been in many apartments, but this place, if I ever end up with a job with good hours, I would rent from here again.

I lived in these apartments almost 4 years. In the beginning I didnt care too much for them. We had a few issues with our neighbors and the maintenance really sucked and the office manager was ehh. They were terrible with work orders and we had several issues with water leaking into our apartment. Finally after MANY complaints and telling them my dad worked for a restoration company and the damage and danger it could cause everything was successfully taken care of, this was back in 2014. Since then a VERY AMAZING woman Heather became property manager and she is absolutely wonderful, we also got all new maintenance and they were AMAZING as well. I would put work orders in and they were usually completed that same day or within the next day and they were completed properly the FIRST time! With Heather if you EVER have any concerns what so ever she is extremely professional and addresses things immediately she does not waist any time, she is also a very caring person and will work with you the best that she can, she does not just blow you off or treat you bad in anyway. Only things I did not care too much was yes there was a few break ins to people vehicles however again the office staff stepped that up very quick with their security on site that I personally saw many times through the evenings. They also stepped security by installing many bright lights and giving new and improved mail boxes that were getting broke into when they were in the laundry rooms. And lastly the only other thing that I did not care too much about was how much the cost of utilities went up and and it did not usually stay the same. I do know the office members were aware of a lot of disappointment in this issue and they were doing the best they could to address it. Realistically cost of living and expenses go up everywhere you go so that kind of sucks but it happens. As far as my apartment goes, it was fantastic, it was very clean the grounds were always clean things did not fall apart easily and we didnt ever have to worry about bugs or anything. We did have ants once but Heather contacted the terminator and had them out the same day for that. I would personally recommend these apartments to people I know!

Dont let the exterior fool you. This is a HUD Community therefore more often than not you have all the drama and security concerns associated with that. This apt complex is located right across the street from an elementary school therefore there are a lot of young unsupervised children from the apt complex constantly playing in the stairwells, in front of your door, yelling, screaming.....etc. Parents yell from their balconies, hollering for their kids like they are in the streets. Because the elementary school is across the street, this property makes it HIGHLY desirable for HUD families to live here. The tenants dont have any respect or regard for others privacy nor is there any consideration to keep the noise level to a minimum. The time spent here was horrendous. Management hears your concerns and then lie to you in your face that theyve addressed the issue. This place is very shady...BEWARE: The property is poorly built. There is no insulation or sound barriers between the floors. The tub has no sound barriers so you can constantly here someone showering from above you as the water is hitting the cast iron tub. You will never have any ounce of quiet. All it takes is someone in the apt above you to get up at midnight, stomp their way to the bathroom and then flush the toilet. The Apt above you can hear people stomping in that it sounds like the ceiling is going to come crashing through. This was the worst experience for apartment living that Ive ever had to endure. Id live in a trailer before ever considering this place. Now the positive side to this apartment complex is that for those who are getting back on their feet, with low credit scores, and low income, you can apply and be eligible to live there however, this place is shady and so is management!

How do these people get away with ripping off people for $40.00 a person to do app? On top of all of this the lady on the phone hung up on me as soon as I asked that very question. From the reviews I can see, I understand. Not a good place for any one!

As a tenant of Village East Apartments located at 781 Hathaway Dr. I want to warn people of this complex before committing an entire 9 months-1 year here.BEWARE THE HIGH UTILITIES BILL, UNACCOMMODATING OFFICE STAFF & THE CRIME!I first moved in June 2015 and was promised a professionally cleaned apartment due to allergies. Upon opening the door to my apartment there was dirt right in front of me. The windows, shelves cabinets, & loft area had so much dust and dirt that I couldnt even move my stuff in without spending an hour cleaning the thick layer of fifth. The carpet was/ IS STILL disgusting.. I had to buy a carpet cleaner to try and clean them as best I could since the complex wouldnt pay for a professional cleaner or new carpet.Then I got my first utilities bill. WHAT!?! (Electric is your own separate bill as well)Over $120 for two people who work all the time so were rarely home & there is NO washer or dryer in our unit.Plus around $75-$100 for electric. It gets so stuffy in the summer and we have an ancient AC wall unit in just the living room. The bedroom gets way too hot to ever sleep in or stay in during the summer. We have to wrap our windows and run heat all winter long because of how old he windows are. (They are so drafty that I get ice inside my apartment.)There is no parking left in the lots unless you pay for a carport every month or park on the street.You can hear your neighbors coming up and down the stairs, through the walls, when they run the water & anyone who is outside.Now for the excessive crime-After a month of living here our mailboxes were broken into. They put a lock on the mail room door and then two weeks later it happened AGAIN! Our mail was sent to the local post office for almost THREE months while they tried to get replacement mailboxes.The amount of dog poop that is around the property is DISGUSTING! Yes people are responsible for their own waste but it isnt enforced & the maintenance crew doesnt pick it up so the amount that is left around is unhealthy.Then you have the car theft. A neighbor literally had all his tires stolen in the night plus numerous car door and window break ins in the parking lot! (So much for night patrol)My own package was stolen from a neighboring tenant (WITH a police report that verified this) and the landlord can not evict the tenant or ask them to leave.Because I am wanting to feel safe and comfortable in my own home I asked for out of here before my neighbors broke into my apartment in retaliation of the report and they said they couldnt accommodate me without paying an early out fee. (which I shouldnt have to do if I fear my safety)Beware of the crime and cost before moving into an outdated, overpriced, unsafe complex such as Village East in Colorado Springs.

The leasing staff were extremely rude and inconvenient while we lived there. Dont expect anything to get done there as far as maintenance. The apartment itself was what you paid for--walls very thin, small rooms, no a/c..at least it had a roof.

WARNING: Village East apartment complex has a contract with a predatory Towing company called Midnight Recovery Services LLC. They WILL tow your vehicle for many arbitrary reasons such as low tire pressure, Parking on the line of a parking space, ANY title or registration violations. You WILL pay at least 400.00 to get your car from being taken hostage.MAKE NO MISTAKE- This apartment complex signs a contract with these predators and acts like they know have no control over the towing process.Beware of thinking that it cant happen to you, Just view the feedback on the google reviews for Midnight recovery or their facebook page. When I stayed here back 2012 for a year maintenance wasnt bad was either same day or the next the management not so good when I left they tried to charge me all kinds of extras even though I paid pet deposit said my cat peed on the carpet ok how cat was box trained and box was on hardwood floor and just tried to nickel and dime me to death would not suggests staying here only reason they get 2 stars is cause of maintenance

That towing company midnight jerks...opps midnight towing are a joke and down right unlawful they need their DOT numbers turned into the DOT and Raiload commission who is the Government agency who regulates the towing companies the numbers are on any of their tow trucks, I and my Mother have both called them in for towing and not having a good reason ALL # TIMES they towed our vehicles the woman at the DOT said if they get enough complaints they will audit them and the WILL find some violations as she put it...if they operate in the manner you say then Im VERY SURE we will find violations I told the DOT the driver named Vince was very aggressive and cussing me and acted as if he were drunk and as the DOT stated, well he could have been drinking and if you could tell me he smelled of alcohol I could launch an investigation now!! do you get where Im going people??... if you think the driver smelled of booze which would explain an aggressive manner, its your word the consumer against a thief in the night hence midnight towing! do yourself and all of us who have been victims of that joke of a company and turn the numbers on the side of the truck into the DOT AND the Raillroad commission!! heck you could just be a person driving down the road and a MIDNIGHT TOWING TRUCK just happens to speed by you, cut you off almost causing you to crash remember ANYONE can place an ANONYMOUS COMPLAINT...GET WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS PEOPLE??

THIS IS A SCAM COMPLEX. Expect to have the security deposit takin from you the INSTANT you apply read the lease, and want to go somewhere else....they keep it. Waivers for everything like mold, mildew, aspest, bedbugs, and even your money! But no proof that it was inspected for those. Outrageous utillity bill, and fees. I counted 16 contradictions on there lease that will leave you with a terrible environment, being lied to and scammed for every cent.We read the lease and decided to go look elsewhere, they kept the security deposit of 250$. You cant apply unless you give them that and app fee. This place is a shut out and i feel bad for anyone else they have scammed. You pay for everything and the place still looks like baghdad....PLZ DO NOT waste your time or money. I sure did.

This apartment doesnt even deserve a star. Please do not rent here you will regret it. This place stinks like the management. Wait til you get your water/ sewer bills! You will not see the actual meter because the water bill is shared with the other units so even if you dont use water as much your bill will end up $100 dollars more a month. I was aware of the bad reviews when I rented here but I was in a rush and didnt have time to look. But this is the WORSE apartment. DO NOT RENT HERE! Beware of the high deposits! We put a $900 deposits! Yes $900 for an apartment! Ussually apartments would only ask for 200-500 deposits but they asked for a $900 deposit because they want to keep it. I recently renewed my lease in Jun but unfortunately I had to break the lease because my job is relocating. We paid $1000 to break the lease. Yes we paid it because we wanted to leave in good terms. We cleaned everything! We took pictures and videos, even the neighbor who helped us move had seen the place how we left it. The night before bad hail storm hit us. It broke the windows and flooded inside of the house so the water from out side made a way in to our place and there were leaks from the wall. Floor was all wet we had to slee in the masterbedroom closet because there was no leak there. Gues what! They did not give the deposit back to us! They said the floor was badly damaged and smelled of dog pee! Give me a break! I am pretty sure the flood and the leaks did that. I dont believe it would cost to replace the whole carpet. They just want to keep my money! Well im filing a claim for this. I have pictures videos and witnesses! Please dont rent here.If theres a good review here im sure it s a made up review from the management. The worse worse apartment!

This apartment complex likes to charge outrageous late fees, would NOT suggest living here if you have a tight budget!!!!
