I have them do my car inspection every year. They are always nice, courteous and timely on the inspections.

I used City Garage to perform my annual inspection. They were extremely friendly and even checked the air pressure in my tires. I will definitely use them again.

When our filter had to be ordered, he went out of his way calling around to make sure he got it in same day within the hour. They were polite, accommodating, and efficient. Had my starter go out over the holidays after driving in. City Garage was the only close shop open on weekends and I needed to get back on the road. Tim was easy to talk to and I really appreciate how they itemize everything on a web doc for approval. Ive been a City Garage customer for a couple of years with no problems. My last 2 visits have left me looking for a new place to service my cars. At first, I resolved NOT to leave a review... I wanted to tell the manager in person that I didnt feel great about being charged $400 for nothing (2 separate but similar instances). Not in a rude way... just honest. I would have appreciated that courtesy if the roles were reversed. So I did... But the in-person experience was poor enough that I felt the need to comment.So my sons car needs an AC compressor. They wouldnt do it because they couldnt warranty it without a complete system replacement... Tims first estimate was $4k, then came down to $2700. Its an older car, and it didnt make sense to spend that, but Tim said it would have to be a full replacement, or they wouldnt be able to help. Charged me $195 for looking into it. I also a few weeks back I took my wifes Jaguar F Type up there... check engine light was on. They charged me $185.00 to tell me they couldnt fix that type of problem (needed to go to the dealership). Now, I understand being charged for this stuff. You have to pay mechanics to run the diagnostics. The equipment they use is expensive. But more than being charged for we cant/wont help you, it was the customer service that I took exception to. I certainly dont envy people who have the job of giving people bad news about repair costs. But dont be dismissive, and for heavens sake, look up from the computer monitor (I had to ask Tim if he could hear me... felt like a total jerk). Tims a good guy Im sure, so Id say to City Garage, help him put the kind of customer service into practice that actually makes people want to come back (even when the news is bad).I dont want a refund or an apology... just wanted to point out that there is room for improvement in a spot or two.

Gave me detailed information on what was wrong with my car and they were very honest and trustworthy. (That was my review from my first business with them a few weeks ago).My experience with them today was totally different.Last time I went to have a general diagnosis on my 2011 Nissan Altima after it was having several issues of which they found the causes and were honest in their advise to me as to which fixes were the most important because I was very low on money. I decided to just try to get another vehicle, which I did and thought they would be a good place to get it checked on for any issues before my purchase return window is up. Several days ago I set an appointment for them at 10 am this morning, to which I arrived about 15 mins early. A middle aged gentleman greeted me and asked what he could do for me. I told him I had an appointment for 10 am for my BMX X1. He said appointment for what which i though was an odd question since all he had to do was look me up in the system and see for what. I explained anyways and he said something about a $125 charge to which I asked for clarification on because the work was quoted for around $62 like last time. Theres no way he can know something cost more instantly without even seeing my vehicle. He asked for more clarification on what I want checked. I asked him to pull me up in the system and whatever I had checked last time thats what I want this time. My tone was not rude or anything even though he seemed kind of snippy from the time I walked in the door. He said something about the computer systems costing xyz if I want that checked and I said no, just the main things I had checked last time and if he couldnt pull up, I could. He said ok then said let him go look at the vehicle then he walked outside then walked to the garage, came back and typed on the computer for a second or two then said they wouldnt even be able to do it today because one of the lifts were down or something and I could check Monday. At this point he was VERY dismissive and tried to walk off like I would just leave a couple of times. I questioned him because it didnt make sense to me that I would be able to make an appointment if their werent slots and even if they just found out today then why was there no notification in my email or a call telling me not to come down because they had to cancel my appointment?! I asked him a question about checking the oil from something the computer system said and he said yep thats just and oil and filter change and its xyz amount of money I asked him why would I not just pay to get it checked for if I need it then take it back where I bought it and make them do it if its already overdue for an oil change. He started responding with some kind of ridiculous nonsense at this point so then I did not want him touching my car since he was working and lying this hard not to do it. The only reason I didnt give them only one star was because I wanted to be honest in each experience and the interaction I had with a lady at the front desk and a younger mechanic who worked on my previous vehicle a few weeks ago was good. As good as they were, it did not tip the scale into the direction of a 3 or a 4 star from how bad my interaction with this guy was today. If I could give him personally ZERO stars I would. I certainly dont mind wasting my gas to drive by there in an hour or two and verify that their arent any more vehicles up on the lift that he said was down today as well.

The people that work at City Garage are very nice and using safety measures. I brought my car in for an oil change and purchased a new oil plug at their suggestion. After picking up my car I noticed an oil leak. I returned it to City Garage the next day. They looked at it and said I may need a new oil pan if it continues to leak. I mentioned that I have not had an oil leak prior to the oil change. I was told it was because my car was European. I am hoping the problem has been fixed.

Friendly and great service

Was told that there would be a wait and it would be a few hours, close to close before my car was ready. Had some food and was just going to wait. The guy who helped me was really nice and was able to move me up since one of the cars they were working on wouldn’t leave until the next day. Barely ate my food and they were already done. It’s a little expensive but they use synthetic oil and filters so I know it was last. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a very low tire Wednesday morning and had a doctors’ appointment at 8:30. I pulled in to City Garage in Colleyville at 8:25, and they immediately dropped everything they were working on to put air in my tire. When it wouldn’t hold air, they put on my spare tire for me, and didn’t charge me a dime. I was on my way at 8:35. Thanks, guys!

Everyone working here is super kind and helpful! They even taught me how to fix some of the issues my car had to save me money. They didnt even charge me for a tire pressure check and washer fluid. Everyone is very courteous and I love coming here rather than a dealership!

There really aren’t even words for how good these gentlemen are to us. Anytime we’ve needed something looked at, repaired, replaced, or had a dead battery up the street- they’re the only guys we trust!They won’t try to up sell you but they’ll always make sure you know what needs to be taken care of. Went in for an inspection and stayed and waited. I waited the exact time they told me when they took my keys. My car did fail inspection and after I took it home and fixed what was necessary (tail light assembly) I took the car back the next day. Once again the wait was exactly as I was told and I was outta there. Perfect experience. They take AAA discounts (5%).

I appreciate the customer service and personal concern. So I have updated my review.Original review: Have been bringing 5+ family vehicles here for about 5 years. I think they overcharge most times but since I don’t have time or tools I’m paying for convenience. But we will NOT use them again. $650 for a starter? $350 for a $200-250 part and $130 for a diagnostic when we TOLD them what was wrong (we had already done the troubleshooting) ? That was final straw. We asked them to replace the starter. Not to charge us $130 to find out what we already knew was wrong. That’s the kind of behavior that reinforces the old stereotype of car mechanics being, as a matter of course, unscrupulous and shady.

I brought my car in because my tire was punctured by a nail. City garage told me unfortunately the tire needed to be replaced, because the nail was too close to the rim. They did not have my tire in stock, but recommended that I order it online and have it delivered directly to them. I did just that and the day after they received it, they were able to install it. Great service, great staff, and great price!

I was in a hurry for work but desperately needed an oil change, wiped blades, and inspection within an hour. They not only got my car done before their 45 minute estimate, but Sean, one of the gents up front, saved me a good chunk of change by telling me to go buy the wiper blades and theyd be happy to put them on free of charge. All of the employees were quick, friendly, and customer-first. Highly recommend this place. Price was reasonable and service was tip top

Have been having them repair our cars for 6 years because they were convenient.All I can say is after arguing with one of the guys at the counter that indeed the repair they had just made was not fixed, he insisted I didnt know what I was talking about. Then he said he wasnt going to argue with me (?) and walked off. Less than two months later I was back only because the repair completely hosed up the whole car and they had to redo it, under warranty.Of course they found another problem that needed fixing for about 2k while it was in there, which was fairly typical with these guys. Expect to pay over a thousand to get your car back. Expect to pay hundreds just to have them diagnose the issue and give you an overpriced estimate. Expect them to always find some essential repair or service that must be done right away while its there. Expect them to argue with you.Upsold, oversold, disrespected, misdiagnosed, I finally decided the convenience was costing me a fortune. Go elsewhere.

I always feel like the employees at this garage actually want to take care of me and my vehicles. The front desk employees are respectful and arent pushy like most shops. Their mechanics seem to always know exactly what to look for when I bring my car in for trouble; never had a return for an unfixed issue. All around great garage.

Fast service for a Saturday afternoon. They are staffed fully until closing just in case someone comes in last minute for their state inspection! They checked all other fluids and showed me which ones needed to be flushed and why. I did not feel an ‘upsell’, but educating me. Thank guys, enjoyed the new coffee you made just for me at 4:45 pm Saturday afternoon. Very cheery environment.

Unfortunately the guy behind the counter made it clear that he didn’t want my business... Easy 5 Stars!! I was recommended from someone at work, so looked at the reviews. They were all 4-5 stars with lots of compliments about their experiences, so I felt great going into the Colleyville location. Everything I read was true! The customer service was outstanding! Josh, the service writer stayed in touch as the work was getting done, in case I had any questions, etc. The work was done right on time. They give a 24 month 24,000 mile warranty with their work. The price was very fair and I felt great when I left. They went above and beyond what I expected. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

Jerry and company really went out of their way to offer same day service at a reasonable price. Theyre straight forward, so you know what youre getting when you walk in. I brought my truck in early Saturday afternoon, and they stayed until after closing to make sure my drive-shaft issue was taken care of. Definitely coming back.

They gave me a ride home when I dropped off my car. They also picked me up when the service was complete. Everyone was very polite and kind. Service was done in a timely manner. I was initially told that the diagnostic fee would be applied toward the bill total if I went with their repair suggestions. It was not. It was still charged in addition to the total.Overall good service. I would use them again.

City Garage has been taking care of my 1998 Crown Vic since Nov. 18, 2003 and with almost 190,000 miles it has had its good days and bad - BUT City Garage has ALWAYS been professional, has reasonable costs and friendly employees. I have used this City Garage location for a few different repairs on my 2008 Nissan Altima. In each situation, the staff was friendly, the shop was clean and well organized, and the customer waiting area clean.For this last repair, I used their courtesy shuttle service to bring me home while my repairs were done and the gentleman who took me home was friendly, conversational, and didnt act like it was putting him out to take me home.The repairs on my car were done faster than I had expected and the text update service was great as I could tell when work was started and when it was finished without having to call into the shop and ask.I will definitely use City Garage in Colleyville in the future and refer my friends!

Awesome personal experience! I took my car in for a simple inspection and found out that my windshield wipers had quit working. They offered to drive me home while they investigated the issue. Ended up being a blown fuse. They fixed it for no additional charge and picked me up when they were finished. Friendly, helpful and nice touch that they took me home and picked me up as a personal service. Highly recommend!!

I love City Garage. The guys are always professional yet friendly. We went in for a very simple fix of replacing the turn signal bulb that was not coming out like it should for us at home. I brought my van into City Garage Colleyville for a state inspection but also knew there was some starter issue. The guys were very diligent, keeping it overnight until they could positively determine the cause of my trouble. I have perfect confidence in their ability to get to the heart of the problem and not just treat the symptom. I am very thankful for their perseverance in going above and beyond to take care of me.

I was in a desperate situation trying to open the trunk of my Passat and just found City Garage on Google as the nearest one to me. Shaun figured out my problem and they could have charged me for a full hour of service which was the minimum but only charged me the amount of time it actually took. HONESTY and INTEGRITY! Got my LED lights installed here for $105 ut great customer service and was fast, was overpriced without a doubt but I called them beforehand and they took me in right away and i didnt care about the price since I wanted them installed that day and had over 8 phone calls and none could help cause of being busy or more, just happy they did a good job and got it over with.

Provided outrageously costly estimates and charged me 4 times as much for a simple Freon replacement. Do not recommend this place.
