Charles Boyd Construction finished our house in October 2013. This house is the best thing weve ever done for ourselves. Charlie caught on to what we wanted in a house on the river and delivered it early and on budget and with the finest workmanship. Early on he took us to see Alex who designed the house with Charlie there helping us. At each step of the building process Charlie would explain the next phase, what materials we needed to be deciding on and addressed any concerns we had - promptly and thoroughly. Charles Boyd Constructions team, from foreman Billy to the sub-contractors employees, were professional and polite. Since we moved into the house Charlie has been receptive and attentive to any problems weve encountered (minor, let me assure you) and has quickly remedied any deficiency. We found Charles Boyd to be honest, fair, and diligent. We would recommend him to anyone who wants a quality house.

Charles Boyd renovated our 44 year old house into a modern, well-designed, safe and soundly constructed, beautiful home.We had not yet moved to Cocoa beach, so we totally relied on Charles and his entire trades cadre to build the house we specified. We did make 3 personal visits during reconstruction to finalize counter tops, cabinets, etc. but the remaining majority rested solely on Charless shoulders.We were a bit skeptical that Charles would meet his target completion date, but we went ahead and sold our home in South Carolina and moved here. Charles was true to his word. We did have a punch list of items, but the house was in move-in condition when the moving van arrived. Additionally Charles assisted in the coordination of the construction of our pool and the installation of new fences.All work as completed at a high level of workmanship and quality. We continuously receive compliments about he openness and the wonderful flow that the completely new floor plan has. We have and will continue to recommend Charles Boyd to anyone who inquires about a reputable home designer/contractor on the Space Coast.

In 2012 my wife and I purchased a lot on Merritt Island and contracted with Charles Boyd Construction to build our house. We wanted to make sure that the house was designed to take advantage of the view up and down the Banana River. Charley asked us to make a list of things we wanted in our new house. Several weeks later he met with us to go over the preliminary design. My wife and I were both amazed that the initial design was just what we were looking for in a house. It was our dream house. Throughout the process of building Charlie was very willing to make changes. Even moving a wall in the butler’s pantry to make it larger wasnt an issue. We were also very pleased with the craftsman Charlie hired to do the work. They were truly artist. He even went to bat for us when we discovered after the tile in the living room was installed it had a flaw. He brought the owner of the tile company to the job site and they worked it out and agreed to remove and replace the tile. Throughout the process we found Charlie to be a perfectionist and he always had our interest in mind. I have recommend to several other people they use Charlie to build their house. If we were to ever build another home there is no question we would have Charles Boyd Construction do the work.

We were part time residents in Merritt Island and were looking to upgrade from our current house. We looked at many houses, but they did not fit our needs. Someone said to us why dont you find a piece of property and build the house that you want. We were totally against this since we were part time residents and were uncomfortable depending on others while we were not there.We saw Charles Boyds sign in many areas and decided to call him to see our options. Charlie was building many homes in the area, so we thought why not see what this entails, We loved the area and decided to look into it. My husband is very familiar with building and he was very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the Charles Boyd homes.We found a vacant piece of property and Charlie walked us through the steps of what we needed to be concerned with before purchasing the property. We purchased the property and Charlie helped us every step of the way. We met his superintendent Billy Forsyth and was very impressed with his knowledge and taking care of the job like it was his own. After meeting Charlie and Bill we felt very comfortable that while we were in New Jersey, Billy can run the job. Billy kept us updated every step of the way.Many people we spoke to who had a house built said it was so much pressure and you only build once. SHODDY REPAIRS THAT CONTINUALLY NEED FIXING DUE TO POOR WORKMANSHIP, INCONSTANT AND HALF TRUTH/FALSEHOOD EXPLANATIONS, AND NO SHOW SUBS. THINGS WERE GOOD UNTIL THE LAST CHECK WAS CASHED, WHICH IS IN THE CONTRACT THAT YOU CANNOT HOLD THE LAST CHECK UNTIL THE PUNCH LIST IS DONE. HE WILL NOT DO YOUR WORK IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS. HE LIES AND SAYS HE WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING BUT DOES NOT.WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
