He was called last week to check my moms fridge. Yes she bought from a used appliance store (as this is his whole thing). But he came out checked it and said it needed a circuit board. He said he put one in and charged her $325. Next day fridge still didn’t cool. She called and he said someone would be out to program it. They came 2 days later after 7pm. Still didn’t work and fridge completely quit. He now says it will cost over $500 more to fix. Claims to be a repair man but everyone I have spoken with and tried to use his service state that he came and told them he couldn’t fix their appliance but still charged them. Called him today and requested invoice and old part since he “took” with him. He sent her an invoice through text dated for today, not the service date. Left out part where he said the circuit will fix it. And came by with no old part and claims he sent to Maytag already, even after he said just today, that it was in the truck. Do not recommend this guy!!! But I guess anyone can claim to be a repairman and collect off of people and just say “I can’t fix it!”

We had a freezer full of food die when the average daily temp in our garage was around 90 degrees. I called Richards and spoke with Jeff. Based on my information he concluded that the freezer, after having the door ajar over night, just needed to be totally defrosted and plugged back in. Most places would be happy to come and charge a service call to say the same thing. Jeff was kind enough to give me that information and guess what? He was right! The freezer is fine and we did not lose all that food! I highly recommend him and so appreciate his honesty!

My Kenmore washer kept going out of balance. Richards came, diagnosed the problem, the part would have to be ordered which would take about a week, but I should pay $80 for the service call now. After almost 2 weeks I called & left a message..........no response. Called a second time, told the part was on back order. Hearing nothing for 2 more weeks, I called Sears. Same diagnosis as Richards, the part was on the truck & within an hour I was washing again.It has been over six weeks since the initial visit from Richards & I still have heard nothing. I gave Richards 1 star for keeping the appt, n o stars for customer service. I like to support local businesses, but at 85 I am on a fixed income & it really hurt my budget to have to pay for 2 service calls.

Jeff and Cory repaired our Maytag electric dryer, which needed a blower fan and a heating element. Great customer service. Very reasonably priced. Timely appointment despite them being super busy during the pandemic stay-at-home order. Definitely will call for any future appliance service needs.

Our experience with Richards Service Center was an extremely positive one. Jeff and his son Cory repaired our Maytag washer. Jeff was very helpful on the initial trip diagnosing the problem. He called Maytag and discussed with their technical support. Then took the time to fully explain the problem and options with us. He then called promptly when the repair parts were in and scheduled our repair. He and his son came and performed the repair quickly in a high quality manner. He then made sure we were completely satisfied with the repair and workmanship before leaving. My wife and I extremely pleased with the experience.
