SHOP AROUND! There are at least 10 different companies that provide waste service with better customer service.I am cancelling service. Price was raised twice in the past year. When I called, I received a condescending, snarky customer service! And I was trying to work things to stay a customer.... but customer service is truly dead and with this company, seemingly unsupervised.I called multiple times, multiple terrible service where nothing was solved.Finally decided I am cancelling because I asked to speak to a supervisor and was accidently hung up on. If you are speaking to Adam Ketter, you can be sure you are not going to get anything solved, spoken to in a condescending tone, and like my conversations, lied to (spoke to him twice in the past two weeks... same result).Simple example:-Me: Can you send that to my email-Adam: I need your email-Me: You have it on my account file you just pulled up-Adam: No, I dont-Me: Then how did you send me an email-Adam: well, I have xxxxxx@gmail-Me: you missed XX in the name-Adam: See thats why I wanted it, to confirm-Me: So you had it...Phone gets disconnected...Seems simple or petty, but it was a condescending white lie just because... why... no idea.

We are a mobile home community of over 500 homes and people are losing their trash bins on a daily basis. Where they go, we have no idea! With that being said, I called and spoke to Leonard White, who handles our account, and asked that they provide a dozen or so more trash barrels. He said they were behind and would get them over to us in either by the end of the week or early the following week. To my surprise, when I pulled into work the VERY NEXT DAY, those barrels were lined up all neat and tidy right outside our clubhouse waiting for our residents!! I was sooo happy!! It was Incredible!! I was content with the delivery promise of a week or so, but the next day - WOW!! My residents were so thrilled and they gave ME all the credit! I didnt let on that I really had nothing to do with it... :D Thanks, Leonard, for giving us immediate attention, rapid response time and such amazing customer service. You get FIVE STARS - Keep doing what youre doing!!

I’m not a big fan of calling companies but after I got on the phone with Jessica I had a good experience. She didn’t talk too much but she answered all my questions in a timely manner. She sounded very nice and she helped me with my bill. It was so nice to not spend my entire day waiting on the phone.

Edith with waste connections has helped me from start to finish in a very professional friendly manner. I recently moved and was delighted she was able to assist in getting our account set up. If you have yard debris they accommodate for that as well for an extra fee. I appreciate her and this company for the prompt service and professional assistance.

Men are conscientious. I have seen then pickup trash that has fallen off container, and pick it up. Always leave can on side of driveway so as not to be in way when customer drives out. Should I have items that dont fit in can, they pick it up. Automated pickups only pick up can. They are worth their fee.

For the second time the driver tore up our front lawn. We have now 2ft of lawn missing. Their contact form on the website does not work. I keep getting an error message: error - try again later. I called and put in a complained but nothing happens, nobody calls back. Very unprofessional.

I was fortunate enough to get Jennifer Cooke, your Customer Service Supervisor, to answer my call and questions. She was warm, relatable and professional in every way that matters to a customer. I would have loved to have more Jennifers working for me, before I retired from business, as she would reflect well on any firm she works for. Perhaps selfishly, I apprized that she would have made both me and my business look good for having hired and kept her. Kudos to management for Jennifer.

This company is horrible. This missed our pickup 4 times. After the second time we called, they even offered to do an emergency pickup.... they didnt even show up for that. We called a total of 4 times letting them know they missed us and they acted as if they didnt even care. We switched after having to leave 3 voice message to the manager, with no return call.

My husband and I recently purchased a house with all of its contents from the previous owners still inside and had a ton of stuff to get rid of. We ordered a huge dumpster through Danielles recommendation. She was very knowledgeable with the service and what can and cannot go into the dumpster. She also asked about what we were going to need it for to give us a clear idea of how much it would cost due to how many times we would have to fill it. Waste Connections also had the dumpster out the day after ordering it. Very happy with the service.

I had to call customer service because I was over charged on my account and the auto payment was aborted. When I spoke to ADAM this morning he was very easy to talk to : Great customer Care , Easy to understand, handled the situation quickly, very knowledgeable , I was in a better frame of mind after speaking to Adam. I wish he could train all service reps or just please get more like him as he is an asset to your business.

Just spoke with Jessica for a bulk item pick up. She was able to schedule it for my next pick up date! She was professional and courteous. We’ve used (progressive) waste connection for years. Our drivers and crew for recycling and trash are always kind and go the extra mile to be polite. The recycling crew always leaves a holiday card going above and beyond! This service does not go unnoticed. I recommend them to anyone. Most of my neighbors use this service too. Great crew!

Spend your money somewhere else. Poor customer service, their phone disconnects at random times, and they pick up trash about as regularly as the rain patterns in Florida. Twice now they have missed my pick up and dont do anything to rectify the situation. I know the options are limited, but I would spend a few extra dollars to avoid providing them any further business.

I needed to get junk removed out if my yard and I called everywhere and they were all unprofessional but when I called waste connections my costumer service lady was very professional anf alot of help. Her name was Jessica and she helped me with everything I needed and was done in a timely manner.

My first time experience calling was a great one. Jessica was extremely patient and professional with all of my questions I asked . Her service was with a smile and that is what counts.

Today is the third Tuesday in a row that these children left my trash while picking up the neighbors trash across the street. Now I am on hold waiting for customer service to do their job. This is one trashy outfit.

This company is horrible! You pay for service and they do not pick your trash up! I call to say that they are not doing their job the people that answer the phones are rude and disrespectful! They still charge you! We moved out of the house and cancel the service and they still charging for service! You send them proof of the move and they send the bill to Collection! I moved into a home in an area that does not use this company. I have called twice in the last week and been assured the bins would be picked up. However no truck has showed up to pick them up. These bins are in the way and not needed. Do I need to pay the company to pick up their bins?

Their customer service people are very rude on the phone. They broke my container and it took them weeks to take it away, however they did not deliver one to replace it. I called them today and got some attitude first, then they told me that they took it away to replace it. It will be like 5 days for the new one to arrive. I do not understand why they have not delivered the new one first. Mine has been broken for weeks. On the top of that they just raised the price by another $5. That is from $33.50 to $38.50. 15% raise. I wished I could give myself that kind of a raise. Anyway, I am looking for a new company. I do not recommend them.

They pick up at random times throughout the day but that doesnt inconvenience me one bit. The guys are always friendly and Ive had no issues with their service. When I needed a recycling bin it was delivered on their next visit as promised.

Driver almost killed me making a right without stopping and checking if anyone was there. I swerved into the next lane and he followed me into it. Sunburst hit me twice. Truck number 300842.

Ive never seen worse customer service. Signed up for service on Monday and was told my first pickup was Friday. They didnt pick up. I called 3 times and was told theyd come back. They didnt, then proceeded to lie and say I didnt have my trash out at 9:30 in the morning the day of pickup, even though it had been out since the week before when we moved.

Waste connections commercial service for our job site has been Spectacular. Our rep Kaydee Miller absolutely made sure we had the dumpsters pulled as quick as possible when we needed it. They also made sure if we had any extra dumpster pills needed that day we got it. All of their drivers worked with us and the team on such a big site when we needed the dumpsters relocated to new area. All in all great service would absolutely recommend.

My wife saw them take our personal recycling bins. They were exceedingly rude on the phone patronizing talking over me and hung up repeatedly. When I finally spoke to someone who could try to resolve it he said taking bins is against policy so they couldnt have done it. They left their own personal bin instead of compensating despite the fact that we are potentially moving to an HOA. They also dont respond to bbb complaints. They miss pickups constantly to top it off. Do not use these jerks.

I have been using Waste Connections in Pinellas County for years. They have always provided good service for the construction trades. The new rep for Pinellas County, Kaydee Miller is no exception. She has been excellent to deal with. I wouldnt use any other company.

They just raised my bill by 73% from $230 a year to $398! Called and was told 3 different lies as to the increase. #1 The county fees, #2 Insurance, #3 Lost Trailer Parks and neighborhoods, so had to increase to make up the difference and #4 Corporate just sent down the increase for no reason!

Very great service. Made it very easy to set up! The rep even walked me thro how to set up auto pay!!!

Waste Connections isn’t the cheapest option, but they’ve never left a mess after pick-up. They arrive reliably. They often wheel my can all the way back up to my house. When I carry my kiddo out to watch the truck, they without hesitation give a satisfying honk to the truck which makes her just beam.My neighbors use other options, with a mish-mash of cans and lids strewn everywhere. There’s always debris blowing down the street, and pick-up is virtually always end of the day. Waste Connections is there first thing.Trash service, like everything is, get what you pay for.

After contacting them a bout my trash container missing I was told I would receive a new one in 7-10 days. After day 10 I had not recieved it. I called back and was told they had run out of trash containers and they didnt know when they would get me one at all. Fortunately I found the number to the owner and he had one out for me the very next morning. Im confused as to why I was lied to as I was very nice a bout this all but I will give credit to the owner for keeping his word.

I’m very pleased with the hard work that the Construction Sales Rep, Kaydee Miller, puts in on a day to day basis. She is always in contact with her job sites and makes sure to take care of her customers. I give Waste Connections and Kaydee Miller FIVE stars!!!!

Ill just leave the email I sent to the company so you get an idea of what youre dealing with.Im writing this as Im on hold. So far, its been 49 minutes and Im not sure if Im still actually on hold since the music stopped after 45 minutes.As for why Im calling in the first place. Once again, my recycling wasnt picked up. This happens with my trash and/or recycling at least once a month.Honestly, its mildly annoying; not that big of a deal. However, calling and not being responded to for what is now 51 minutes is just unacceptable.Because of these reasons, I would like to terminate my service with waste connections. I will call again today to confirm. I just wanted someone to know, it wasnt the sub-par trash service (which a assure you is sub-par) but the sub-par customer service that is really the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Why are you guys closed on Memorial Day when one of your accounts is open?

This company increase the price by 31% from one month to another! If you multiply the amount of customer by this increase it will be a huge amount of money! I don’t know but probably they raised the price because they have lost a lot of clients! I am going to start moving my own garbage and recycle to the public dumpsters. 😎

Service started out okay, but didnt last. And I mean only okay. It wasnt a smooth process to actually sign up, pay, or receive my bin. However, once that got worked out, things went fine for a while. The problem with only getting a paper bill in the mail every 3 months is that its easy to forget about until the bill comes.But eventually, the bill didnt come. I wasnt counting down the days, so it hadnt occurred to me the bill didnt come until I got a notice from a collector. I paid the excessive fee for their error. Im not able to pay or view the bill online without info that is only available on the paper invoice, and reaching someone by phone has been a lot of wasted energy. Whats weird is the phone service tells me the entire time Im on hold Im caller #1.I didnt have a lot of missed days of pickup, so the rating is representative of the terrible combination of limited and antiquated payment and invoice options, poor customer service from an administrative standpoint, and of course that initial difficulty just getting set up.They may be a bit cheaper than a couple of the other well known companies around here, but I guess theres a reason for that.

Worse company ever! I started with them in February of 2019 and they have missed almost every single recycle pick up and I am not sure if its because I am the only one on the street who recyles and they are just too lazy or what! However I have witness them on several occasions dump our recycling in with the trash, not to mention the amount of trash pick ups they have failed to pick up also! I have been told several times that the issues will be fixed and each time I am left even more disappointed than the time before. Daren is the supervisor and after s few voice mails I realized he wasnt going to return my call as I requested and so I resorted to putting in complaints on their website and that has gotten me two return calls out of several complaints and one of those was from a gentleman that was extremely nice and assured me he would be on route the next recycle day to make sure they are doing it correctly and what do you know they failed to even show up. They have even taken our recycling bin off our property and took it amongst themselves to dump in the trash !!! I can only imagine how many others are experiencing same issues! I would go with another service however my address is shown as an unincorporated area and I am left with just this company! Even if the bill is cheap and reasonable whats the point if they cant even complete the simple task of picking up services I am paying for!? We recycle everything we possible can to do our part and these people are just disposing it in the trash! Completely disappointed and discouraged.

Have been trying to get service set up for over a month. The truck that delivers dumpsters has been down for weeks, and every time I call to get an ETA for delivery the person says they will call me back...but I never get a call. They dont respond to emails. I have waited for over 40 minutes on two occasions when calling, and one of those times they dropped my call when transferring me to sales. I asked to have curbside service set up while I wait for the dumpster but that requires talking to yet another person/department. Super frustrated.

Delivery was prompt and on-time. Pricing was better than anticipated and when I needed the roll-off dumpster for longer than I expected, it was easy to reschedule the pickup for a later date. Great company! I would recommend them!

They consistently miss trash pick ups! They were the cheapest waste company in our area so we went with them. They were always good about picking up our recycling...so I was baffled why trash pick up (the very next day) was hit and miss. You have to call them and hope they pick up to let them know someone needs to come pick up the garbage. You are never first caller either...they always have at least 3 other callers in queue so you normally have to wait a while to speak to someone. NEVER try and email the company...you will NEVER get a response back. We dealt with them as its just my husband and I so we dont typically have a lot of trash....but the fact that we pay a fixed price for a fixed service...its frustrating.And to top it all off...we are moving so I literally just called to cancel. You will be paying for a full billing cycle, whether you live at the home to use it or not. We are moving only 1 month in to the billing period...but we have to pay for the remaining 2 months. Because its policy...AKA how they can make a little bit more money off of people.Poor customer service, poor pick up service. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have learned over the last year and a half why this company has low ratings and low prices...

WSI picks up recycle for the City of Indian Rocks Beach. I generally put out more recycle than garbage each week. WSI only supplies a small blue bin. I asked the City for a large trashcan since I dont like the look of plastic bags of recycle gathering in my yard till pick-up and I was told they were only for Condos and businesses.Today I put out the recycle in the blue bin and bags of it in one of my regular trashcans. The trashcan had the lid open and a large bag of recycle on top of it. It is obvious by looking at the bags it is recycle. The only took what was in the bin. Oh and every other week I put the trash can out like today, it is emptied. Well, except for one when I had the lid on the trashcan closed.I called WSI today (07-29-15) about the recycle not being completely taken. I also asked for one of their large cans. I was told the truck that picks up the residential recycle does not have a lift for the larger cans. I asked the lady how they pick up the Condos and businesses and she said those were commercial trucks with lifts. I was told they would only pick-up what was in containers marked recycle. Well that was one of the things I called for. And no offer was made to come get what was not taken. I told her I guess I was just going to have to throw out my recycle and she said Ok sir.My two star rating is because, although service has been okay, the customer service today was poor and the inability to obtain one of the large cans. Although this company is involved in recycling, it does not appear that they are as dedicated to it as my family is.WSI sometimes it is just the little things that matter. You can do a better job. The solid waste folks from the City do a hell of a lot better job than you folks do. In 30 years I have never had an issue with them.

The construction rep, Kaydee, is a pleasure to work with in the field and with everyday communication. Goes over and above to keep the job sites running smoothly!

Weekly Trash Removal

If I could give them zero or negative five stars I would. Always leaving trash in the cans. The icing on the cake was the recycling service. Despite multiple phone calls to a supervisor who was never available they would miss recycling pickup. Finally got a voicemail from a supervisor saying, in effect, that we were the only recycling customer on the street and the driver sometimes doesnt have the time. Really?!?!? Well, youre fired. A competing service gave us a better price. So long, Progressive. Dont let the door smack you on the way out.

For trash removal or garbage pick up I would continue looking down the list. I would highly not recommend this company

Just read the other reviews, Waste Connections suck! I cant count the number of complaints I have with this company. Lets just say they cant get their act together in any way. From customer service to trash collection, this company is terrible. In this situation, they should all quit their day jobs and pursue acting. They probably have better odds at success in entertainment.

Are you kidding me. I have been a customer since 1991 and in the last year and a half the company has gone down hill. I have had multiple missed pick ups in the last year and a half. Excuse after excuse after excuse. No work ethic what so ever. Im so ready for a better company but who is it? This company is a joke!!!

I was VERY frustrated after my experience on their phone line yesterday (waited way too long without anyone ever picking up, then lost my place in line), but he immediately responded to this review and reached out. He explained their phones work on internet service and if there is any interruption in their internet their phones go haywire. So, while we did go with another service, I think its only fair to change this and mention that at least the owner reaches out personally and tries to correct an issue, and that hes also looking into his phone problem. He was very professional and I appreciated it.

Terrible service. I own a business with two trash pickups per week and I am unable to get them out here. It is a consistent problem every week. I do not have time to sit on the phone for an hour waiting for someone to pickup the phone so I can maybe get my trash picked up. Lousy service. DONT USE THEM

This company is awful and the other option isnt any better. Id leave zero stars but have to leave something. Luckily the people in customer service seem nice and try to be helpful. They hardly ever pick up recycling. I call tell them didnt. They tell me they reported it to the supervisor or dispatcher. I doubt this. That person says they will monitor it. Then it doesnt get picked up over and over. Its ridiculous. I pay for a service that rarely happens.

I have been a customer for many years. They have finally overpriced themselves. This is not the first time. Once before I was going to change companies, however they agreed to continue the current going rate compatible with their competitors. After several years I started to look around since my bill had gone up so much. Now I have decided to go with another company. I will receive the same twice a week pickup, However it will be at half the price. Wish I had looked into this again a few years ago.

Pathetic company sevice. Our garbage pick up is supposed to be on Tuesdays and Fridays and Wednesday for recycling. More often than not, if they come on Tuesday, it is 6pm or as late as 10:30pm tying up traffic on our streets while the restaurants are full with tourists trying to enjoy themselves. When they dont get it on Tuesday, sometimes they get on Wednesday and take our recyclables along in the same load. Why am I recycling when it is just being picked up as garbage? So this week, our village is littered with garbage cans and recycle bins still waiting to be picked up. They never got our recyclables last week.I have stopped calling customer service because it isnt customer service.

Jason has been wonderful to work with. Not only did he beat Waste Managements prices but once the contract was executed the dumpster was delivered with in 12 hours.

This is without a doubt the WORST waste company I have ever dealt with. Do not waste your rime with them. We have been calling them ALL week because they did not pick up some tree cuttings that were tied into bundles. Every day they have stated that they would come & pick it up. The bundles are tied with twine but they did not even bother to try toilet one—just told us that it was large tree & that they could not take it. If they would have even attempted to lift one segment they would have discovered that it was tied into bundles & could be easily removed. We are going to find another service ASAP.

I ended up renting a new house and looked around for a garbage pickup service, found this one. Im a little past 5 months in and having regrets. My card was taken over the phone for the initial payment, I never received a bill for the next one and couldnt pay online because theres not an invoice number I can put in. I got a letter in the mail that said I was 60 days overdue, leaving me pretty clueless, since I hadnt received a bill or confirmation. I thought it may have been automatic, but that isnt the case either. They provided me with a recycling container for the service but the recyclable materials are never picked up, whenever, I get home on trash days, the little blue box is always full. I definitely dont go over the item limit for pickup.I feel like I made a mistake.

We have pick up twice a week however Thursdays are usually no show day..They must go through Drivers like most people change underwear. Maybe they think it sounds better than hey we just dont care... This last incident I really needed it picked up as scheduled as pre paid they are as usual a no show. The most frustrating I called three times 1st assured me the driver will be there first thing, no show called again .2nd just sent it to dispatch 3rd call what a treat ! The woman was rude and condescending yet she too said they would be there. Only after .wanting a detailed description of what was out there and at what time the day before had it been set out.They have no quality control and frankly no standards. If in fact they truly go through that many drivers it is not the drivers that sounds more like bad management.

This company really doesn’t understand what customer service is all about we were skipped on one Day service the day they return the only picked up half of the trash.We will be changing companies ASAP we must stay with them for the rest of the month they told us about starting December 1 we will be with a new company to bad people don’t care about customer service

My service has increase 300% in the last year and a half. I went from paying $18 a month to $40 a month and when I called to cancel, their excuse was their insurance increased... do yourself a favor and find another company

Absolutely the worst! They miss trash pick up on a regular basis, speed through the neighborhood beeping the horn. Yesterday they missed one side of the street for our entire block!

I switched to Waste Connections a few years ago after having a horrible experience with different company in Palm Harbor. Fonso and his crew that collect our garbage cans have been absolutely wonderful. We had a few issues with recycling being skipped, but it has improved. They are very courteous on the phone, if they spill trash they clean it up, and even if we dont have any trash they still driveby to check...

This service sucks point blank if I could give it ZERO SARTS I WOULD dont waste your time or money, they are unreliable and lazy. They will skip your pick up date and also will not even pick up bagged up yard work. I am 52 if I can bring my trash to the curb I would think a mechanical hand and 2 men can handle a heavy trash can. But they cant they will just skip your pick up and any other trash you have out to the curb as well. I put the same trash they skipped in front of my neighbors house for Waste Management and they picked it up without question. Please dont waste your money on this company, total joke.

This is Carla Guertin, I dont have google account and dont want one. You are the perfect example of a company who doesnt care about their customers. We have been waiting days for you to come pickup the garbage on YOUR changed pickup days. I guess your trucks didnt know there new schedules. I repeatedly had problems after the hurricane. Waste Management finally picked up my garbage, I guess they felt sorry for us. This is at least the 4th time that I called and a woman guaranteed that they would pick up next day. STILL WAITING. I will be giving my business to waste management. They show up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

They refuse to pickup a small can with cut up blocks of 2X4. VERY small. Less than 10 inch pieces. They say its construction material and I have to drive it to the dump myself. Thats INSANE for them to expect customers to drive ONE bag of trash to the dump because they dont want to pick it up... They were a great company before Connections bought them... Now they want to come up with reasons NOT to do what were paying them to DO...

Bad, bad, bad!! As a business I pay for weekly cardboard pickup. Their driver was only picking up every 4-5 weeks yet telling them he was picking up weekly. It took me dozens of calls to get him to show up. Went ok for a few months and here I am again with no pickup for 2 weeks and multiple calls to the friendly staff. BEWARE!! Im changing ASAP......once I get out of their ironclad 5 year contract. THIEVES!!
