Renting and returning was quick, easy and simple. Wish I remembered the name of the gentlemen that helped me he was very nice and informative he also gave us a very nice rental that we loved! I definitely recommend their location.

Rented a car from Brian who ripped me off. He not only charged me for insurance even though i informed him im already fully insured. He also charged me for returning my vehicle next day even though he assured me if i dropped the keys off before 5pm that it would be marked as returned for said day. My total was supposed to ve $263 give or take a few bucks for a rental from 3pm wednesday until 5 pm friday with a $300 deposit. I was charged for 3 days instead of 2. They claimed i returned my vehicle at a time that i had already flown home at! I also was charged insurance for 3 days. For my rental for 2 days and 2 hours i was charged just shy of $500 and have received no reply in regard to my claim with billing. I was charged nearly 2x the total i was told in my agreement.

Nice Service. Got a good car at the hotel for the ride back to the Tampa airport. The desk person was very helpful and friendly, but I feel bad for the guy as he is the only one, and has to deal with all the folks coming in, fetching the cars, cleaning the cars etc. The fellow could use a helper, then I would have given 5 stars.

So the agents, C., A. B. + J are doing a fantastic, but difficult job: bec. it is at the Marriott - many foreigners, with little knowledge of US culture or the similarity of rental parameters, across all rental firms. You should rent there just to watch and learn how to keep an even temperament/ disposition from them. 5 out of 5 times Ive been upgraded. Local Edition Hertz at US19 are nice guys too, but the Marriott staff has an especially difficult job - they have to drag a cleaning cart out to the cars, and then explain to a first time visitor that well, if you paid for a daily rental, no, two hours extra are not going to be free. Am actual customer, writing this review so that you give these guys a try, and get a free Zen lesson in just breathing out and remaining cheerful no matter what happens. If you are coming from Indian Rocks, theyll pay for the shuttle fare incl. transfer. Hertz has become VERY COMPETITIVE indeed.

WOW! What Happened to this company? I have used Hertz throughout my life but not for several years. I rented from them last week due to my vehicle being in the shop. Never have I had such poor service in my life. Stay away from this location period. They lied to me about pricing and when i arrived they had a special additional tax that the other locations dont. When I returned the car (a tin can with a motor) The same guy running the location (by himself) had a room full of customers waiting and told me i would have to wait to get a receipt. I waited for an hour before my ride said he had to leave and still have not received my receipts. I called Hertz corporate 5 hours later and they still had no record of my rental with their company. Total Failure with customer service. When I finally departed the manager was yelling at me that he was just too busy to check my car out!!! Can you believe that? What happened to your company? You used to be a respected company. I needed to rent the vehicle for a few more days so my friend drove me to Enterprise Rent a Car! The service was great and they give you a ride after dropping off your car. I am going to contact my credit card company on this one for sure I dont trust this guy at all. Any one who reads this avoid this location. Take a few minutes and research another rental company to do your business with you will be happier in the long run and save money at the same time.

Rented an SUV for a business trip to Orlando on the back portion of a long personal weekend. Arrived and all they had for me was a dirty Dodge minivan. Since when has a reservation for a specific car been a suggestion vs a specific request? And no advance warning or phone call? Not acceptable

Their clerk Danny has a serious attitude problem. Marriott staff warned us about him and sure enough, he is a complete tool. Didnt have our car ready or the car seats, said he would have it the next day, showed up in the exact car we rented and said it was someone elses and that he had canceled our rental. The Marriott people despise him, other Hertz customers despise him... he is just a worthless joke of an existence... little power trip Danny. Do not rent anything from this Hertz site... even the other Hertz locations knew about this pathetic excuse for human existence.

TERRIBLE!!!!!! I had a situation where they charged me for the insurance that I DID NOT authorize. I verbally said NO and our sales person Cameron put it in as a YES! The mistake was HIS FAULT and now they wont adjust the cost which is JUST AS MUCH AS THE CAR RENTAL. Hertz SUCKS and so do their employees. CHECK everything before you sign!

I had a very bad experience ,I go pick up my car on the September 7th only to be told that I have to walk through a construction site all the way at the other end of the parking lot. I ask if they could provide a shuttle and they told me they didnt do . Needless to say at this point I am very upset. Then I took the car back September 14th and called and asked them if they could come and have someone pick me up because I hurt my ankle while on vacation and they told me there was no one available.. So I will tell all my family and friends not to use Hertz rental coming from Clearwater Florida...

Will not return to this location. Waited 20 minutes for the man to show up, only to be given a car that had been in an accident. Pointed out the damage and was given a new car (hints 2 stars). The car I was given was an older model, which smelled, and the check engine light came on halfway through my trip and never went back off. Definitely the most unprofessional Hertz location Ive ever been to. Turned my car in early, but it was never checked in so the car was reported missing. Incredibly difficult to get resolved.

Having lived out here in Sand Key for 21 years I can tell you this is by far the WORST Hertz rental place ever.Its a one man operation it always seems that always has excuses why car booked is not yet available, downgrading and still trying to charge higher, misstated fuel and mileage. And generally you have to wait or call his cell phone as the door is always locked. Car you get, generally hours late is only superficially cleaned.I only go because I can walk to it instead of not dealing with the airport fees and having to uber there , and my Hertz status/points. Rented several times the last year and some issue EVERY time. I only support it because its a pain for me otherwise. I would advise you STRONGLY to look elsewhere if you have to rent near the beach. Hopefully management will change soon. Its an embarrassment to Hertz.

They never answer their phone ever! I am trying to return of rented vehicle that I had to drive while my car was being repaired; it is a gas guzzler to say the least! We were supposed to have gotten a midsize SUV, but they knew insurance was paying for this so they gave us a giant gas hog so they could get more money… Now that I can return it, they do not answer their phone, so I don’t know if I can leave it at the repair shop!This is the absolute worst car rental experience in my life!!!

HORRIBLE customer service when i called! My brother even called and he told my brother that i was an uptight customer! Me and my brother were stunned at this guys absolutely NASTY attitude on the phone and especially in person. This guy left out so many details about pricing over the phone that everything he told me when i was their, was brand new! I get rentles all the time. I was SO displeased, i returned the car 5 days early just so i wont deal with hertz. The hours were from 9am till noon on saturday. I get thier at 9 to return the car early and i see a few customers waiting outside. Nobody showed up until almost 9:30!!! One guy in line even thought he was going to miss his flight! Unprofessional! But at least this guy was nicer then the other. I will NEVER EVER go to hertz again!! Garbage!

You go through all the trouble of renting a car they day on the website is available at a specific location and then find out its really not available. And when you ask for a similar car, (i need 7 seats), they dont have a comparable car. And they say they can try and find one but wont guarantee. Its bait and switch. Never again.

The car I was given was should of have a clean window and side minors. The car was dangerous to diver when daytime. Dirty windows made it impossible to see when sunlight hit windows and side minors. I had to go to Tampa bay airport to have window clean by Hertz office.
