I’ve been using Alamo for over 10 years now and good service as always. At my arrival to the airport at St. Pete Fl I would qualify it as excellent. Didn’t spend more than 10 minutes at the front desk. They had plenty of cars available. Return was quick and easy as always. Overall based in my last experience I recommend Alamo Rent a Car 100%.

Have never been so stressed on a vacation. Very long story, but even though the car was paid for in advance they would not release the car to us because we didnt have a credit card in my name to pay taxes that were never mentioned in the original reservation. A manager named Juan was unyielding and unsympathetic, more or less just a waste of time and money. I would certainly never rent through Alamo again. And definitely never online through Allegiant .

We just returned from vacation where we had rented a van for the week. The van was basically new with less than 5700 miles on it. Pay ahead and you can skip the counter and go straight out to pick your vehicle. Always pleased when renting a vehicle through Alamo!

I have nothing but good things to say about Alamo at St. Pete/Clearwater (PIE) airport. Aaron was very funny, kind, hospitable and really seemed to enjoy his job. Give that guy a raise and a promotion! He was our first point of contact after our Allegiant flight and made our arrival experience outstanding. Car rental was very clean, just what we expected and no issues.

Very quick and easy service to get the car and return it. Upon renting it after pre-paying, the automatic kiosk did not agree with the price we paid, but an employee was able to help us correct that.

Except for the fact that we had to down grade the size of SUV we got from 2 years ago and the price was more than double, the experience was good.

Great experience with Alamo at Clearwater Airport. Someone had locked the keys in the car I was supposed to take. Without missing a beat the Alamo team assigned me a new car (an upgrade even) so I didnt have to wait. I didnt even have to tote all my luggage anywhere. They just gave me the car right next to it. Such a friendly and helpful staff! I will definitely use them on my return trip in May.

We had a issue at the kiosk when we first tried, but the guy at the desk moved us up to the counter and took care of our reservation with no problem. Easy to find and also return and everything was great. no issues.

Alamo was great! I picked my car up early in the morning and had it for two days. It was very clean. I like that they included a Clorox wipe to wipe down the surfaces considering the current pandemic. I love Alamo and will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them!

The Alamo counter is conveniently located in the baggage claim area at Saint Pete Clearwater airport. I was able to use the kiosk to avoid the line at the counter and the best surprise was that when I went to the car lot they directed me to pick any car that I chose in the category (full size) That I had reserved.That was unexpected and I was able to choose a new Hyundai was only 1600 miles on it. Excellent experience and I will be sure to use them in the future

The process was very quick and efficient in picking up the vehicle and returning the vehicle.

Once again we did not get the vehicle wed reserved...in fact the only choices we had when we hit the lot were two small SUV type vehicles....both parked in the FullSize Car section. Neither equipped with a navigation system.At least one of the attendants drove up in a Toyota Camry that had just been returned to service.Still no nav system but at least a car. And the definition used for fullsize car these days is an entirely different tangent that I wont go on at the moment.When one reserves a Fusion Hybrid with a nav system that is what should be reserved and ready to go when one arrives.On a plus side, the pricing was okay and everything went smooth while checking in at the counter.I sent a more detailed email to the email address you provided...once again Id like to say that the Alamo people we dealt with were great...they were friendly, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Its the system that is giving us an issue.

Great rental service and the staff at this particular location helped me out a lot. They’re short handed because of the pandemic, but they used all their resources and helped me recover a lost wallet that was found all the way in New York! Thank you to Cristian and Boris and everyone else who helped us. My girlfriend was so relieved to hear that someone found it (it was her designer wallet). Now we’re just waiting to receive it in the mail so we can finally relax.

This was the easiest and most pleasant rental experience that I have ever had, from pick-up to drop-off, it was seamless and did not require too much time. Valentina was amazing. She worked with us to make sure that we had the car we wanted, she was fun and very knowledgeable.

I did a prepaid rental through Alamo, not a third party. I ended up having to pay a 2nd time because I was told the payment didnt attach to the rental. At the time my phone was dying so I couldnt get into my bank record. I called Customer Service once in the hotel and following confirmation of 2 payments being made. Customer service was helpful, told me I would be refunded the first payment, they could also see the error that was made. Today it has been almost 4 weeks and still have not been refunded. I have placed another call and I am hopeful that this will be resolved this time.I must say the rest of our rental experience was fantastic. We were upgraded for free due to availability of vehicles. We loved the vehicle so much that we extended our rental and cancelled our flight and drove home. The girl at the desk at the Magic Kingdom site in Orlando was so helpful and pleasant to deal with. She was truly appreciated.Update..it is now 6 months later multiple calls to customer service given the run around call the site call online call call call. I was told to dispute with my bank and my bank denied it because it was already paid to Alamo not sitting in limbo. I am owed almost $350.00. Very Frustrating

As far as staff they were great no problems. Only problem I had was the car was to small. Ordered a mid size SUV. Only to find out your mid size is actually a compact SUV. Nissan kicks.

Alamo always has great service. my only complaint is they never have any of the advertised vehicles. Twice this year, I rented a premium elite suv hoping to get a BMW, but they never have any and I always have to settle for a Cadillac. Some might say that they are the same but it is a $40,000 difference!

When we went to retrieve the car in Tampa, the friendliest man was helping people with the kiosk. As I listened to him help others while standing in line, I moved to the kiosk as I felt that I understood what I needed to do by listening to him. He was so helpful and assisted me in completing my transaction. It was a great experience. The woman who checked me out in Orlando was also friendly and helpful. It was the best experience that Ive had in renting a car. Thank you, Alamo.

I rent 5-10 times a year, and after shopping around for the lowest prices, about 3 years ago I settled on Alamo and have been extremely satisfied. I will not rent from anyone else. Their customer service is the best I have ever had from a business. They truly want to hear if you have a bad experience, and they will make it right.

The folks were very nice in the Alamo Clearwater facility. We wanted an economical vehicle and got exactly that. The vehicle was good on gasoline and when we returned the vehicle, they absolutely wanted our satisfaction and thats what we got. We had a new 2019 vehicle that met our needs and most of all the staff that went beyond our expectation. Thanks Alamo..

Nice upgrade to the facility. They are putting $$ into PIE and it shows. They also recently introduced the Kiosk to speed things along and you can now pick your own car whereas before it was assigned to you. Not a huge selection of cars, but its a small airport. Return was easy and done the same way as the other central Florida airports. The only thing thats missing is the online check-in with skip the counter..

The lot attendant gave me the choice of 2 vehicles, a Jeep and a Toyota. I chose the Toyota Rav4. He then told me that if I had any problems to EMAIL, DO NOT CALL the email address on my paperwork. I did not notice as I drove out of the lot that the car had LESS THAN A HALF TANK OF GAS and MAINTENANCE REQUIRED on the dash! I tried for a couple of HOURS to email customer service for that location. It continually stated that the IP address could not be found. I then called the 800 customer service number and told them my dilemma. She told me that she noted my account and that I could return the car with a half a tank of gas. Having lost all trust in ALAMO, I filled the gas to the top before I returned it! I arrived at the airport at 4:15 am to return the car before my flight. There were NO LIGHTS on in the office of the rental company, even though I was told they would be open at 4:00 am. There were no people anywhere to be seen in the entire parking lot. I proceeded to place the keys into the lockbox. All of a sudden I hear a man SCREAMING AT ME DO NOT PUT THOSE KEYS IN THE BOX! DO NOT PUT THOSE KEYS IN THE BOX!!!!! This scared me half to death! He sounded like a mean and hateful man! He was lurking out in the darkness of the parking lot. I had no idea if he even worked for Alamo!!!! I placed the keys on top of the lockbox and hurried into the terminal as fast as I could go. As a senior citizen, this was a very scary event! I will definitely rethink using ALAMO in the future due to the car not being ready for re-renting and the unprofessionalism of the lot attendants!

Highly recommend Alamo. I had some issues with my reservations which caused me to have a little longer wait than usual. The manager noted right away and made sure she told Teri who was helping me to offer me better accommodations at a discounted rate because of my wait. I was happy with the rental I had so I was on my way. A day later I received a phone call from Danielle the manager and she insisted on making it right with me. It just so happened that my travel plans had changed suddenly and she was able to accommodate me. These gals were the best! I have used Alamo many times and other car rentals as well this was by far the best experience I have had. They were looking out for me and made sure I was happy and taken care of.

Lot guy was great when I dropped off. Best personality, quick, knowledgeable, and asked questions about my rental from start to finish. I felt he was genuinely concerned about my overall experience. Thinking about it now, I cant recall ever having a better return process from Alamo or any other rental company. Havent a clue his name, but find out and hold on to this guy. 12/4 @ 10:30 am. I had a Rogue o/w from HYA. CT plates.

The first time I used a kiosk at the airport. Loved it!Seemed like it was much easier and less time consuming.

The staff was very knowledgable and took care of us very well. They took their time to make sure all questions were answered. Did not push a bunch of unneeded stuff at you and explained everything in detail. The drop off staff were friendly and helpful as well. My only complaint was the van, all the charging ports in front were not working. The only charging port working was in the back seat. The wiper blades were awful! Thankfully it just rained on the last day. With those exceptions we were very happy with the service.

The team there is fantastic! There was a system mix up with my reservation and Jordi, Jim and Cody went above and beyond and took the time to make sure everything was exactly as the reservation stated. It was our first time renting with Alamo and they have made a believer out of us. The team at PIE airport is first class all the way!

I had made a reservation for 8 AM at the airport. I showed up right at 8 and there was no one at the counter. I called customer service and they said they should be there because the location opens at 6. I ended up waiting for an hour and had toncall back two more times with no one giving me an explanationnof what was going on. Finally a gentleman over at avis who witnessed me standing at the counter called me over and offered to match my reservation. I ended up missing my first appointment which was at 9 AM. Terribly disappointed alamos lack of organization and customer service.

The staff at the Alamo counter at the Tampa-St. Pete airport were friendly and helpful. No heavy sales tactics to upgrade cars, just how can we help you have a good trip. The car was good, just needed something to get around the city. The staff at the return were friendly considering how early I returned the car. Very happy with my rental, will use Alamo again.

Exterior of car was not clean and interior reeked of cigarette smoke. Also there are way too many charges on the invoices. Get rid of all the local and environmental charges. Just put the price.

My most recent rental was at PIE airport in Florida. This was the best experience I’ve had with Alamo ,on return ,so far. The attendants met us as we pulled in, ready and waiting to check the car in. No looking for someone,and no waiting on someone to come. Faster,and more efficient than ever,and for it to be 5 AM, everyone was so friendly,and upbeat. Great job Alamo ! Ive been renting vehicles with Alamo for years. I always have to pay the additional driver fee to add my wife. This year I checked in online and entered the driver license info for myself and my wife. When I got to the counter to pick up the car I was told that being that I checked in online and entered all of the info ahead of time they were waiving the extra driver fee. This was a great way to start out our vacation. This has never happened in the past. I hope this is a good change going forward.

OVERLY impressed by Alamo at the PIE (St Pete Florida) airport. Their service, courtesy, and followup were outstanding.Several flights arrived at the same time, so in addition to being fully staffed behind the counter, and they also had a facilitator trying to help people in line used their automated system to speed things along. It worked very well.I reserved an economy car and none were available. The only thing that they stated were available were minivans. I remarked that I would not drive a minivan and preferred something else, and they said theyd see what they could do.The same :) returned and gave me an alternate that I could have a full size Chevy Silverado instead which to me which it was a much better choice than the minivan offered.The return was clean and easy as Alamo has facilities right on the airports terminals. The manager was there to take my keys and asked me of everything met expectations and I just remarked jokingly that I only wish my reserved economy car had been there as the trucks gas use was a more than that of the economy car would have been.The manager suggested that she would make an adjustment to the build to compensate me for the extra gas that I used, Which I told her wasnt necessary but she said they still wanted to do it to make it an excellent experience.Upon returning home the next day I received a call from the facility asking me if there was anything they could have done to make it better, I could think of nothing I thought they totally did a great job in every aspect of renting me a car.I usually rent from Hertz or Budget but in the future I will be using Alamo as they did an outstanding job, so they earned my business.

I am very disappointed with the Alamo location at St. Petersburg Airport. We had a delay in my husband’s plane that was out of his control and when I tried to connect with someone to see if they would wait an additional half hour, I couldn’t get ahold of anyone local. Even the kind National representatives of Alamo were unable to connect with someone. I, sadly, have a very clouded view of Alamo and will do my best to find another rental service for future rentals. I canceled my reservation after waiting 6 hours with no reply. I got a better deal with a nicer car from somewhere else for my husband.

Pickup was very easy with the new self check-in system now in place. Returning the car was also very efficient and easy. Very nice people to work with.

Great Alamo location!!!Rented a car from here thru Costco, we were supposed to arrive at 11:30pm, flight was delayed, we arrived at the Alamo counter at 1:30am, they closed at midnight but 3 agents were there to check us in. Car was clean and worked great! Dropped off the car at 4:30am for our return flight and was greeted by Jim who was a pleasure to deal with. Great Alamo team here at PIE!!!

Well maintained vehicles pleasant service

I always rent from Alamo when using the St Pete airport. They are always professional and courteous to me & my elderly father. Someone generally brings the cat around so my father doesn’t have to make the walk or me having to worry about bringing back a wheelchair.

I like using Alamo,Because if u have any problems, they take care of it Right NOW!!! Not tomorrow or at a later date. But the reason Im only giving them a 3 star is because they let the airports hide the extra fees on their cars so the price looks real good when your ordering a car with your airline ticket. They say well its the airline doing it and we have no say.Ive always believed that when its time to take ownership of an idea or problem... Real people or in this case businesses step up and own it.Alamo... its your car company not the airlines.The airline doesnt hide their prices when you book a flight. Man up and stop hiding behind mamas shirt. When we (the public) book a flight and car... by goodness we want to know the total price. I hope a lot of folks agree!!

I was happy how Alamo had a lot of staff waiting for customers. My experience was quick and efficient! Hey Alamo, why cant you color the boxes where initials are required? When I am going to rent a car Alamo is always my first choice. I have never had a bad experience.

My self service kiosk malfunctioned to send me to an agent who sold me cdw insurance I didnt need it want it either.it happened to other renters. Be careful if the hard sell tactics upon renting

I flew into Clearwater/St Pete for the first time. I always rent from Alamo in Florida so I knew what to expect. But I was unaware of all of the construction for the airport. It seemed like I walked quite a ways but when I got to the lot there were folks ready and willing to help me find my car. It was an easy get and go and I continue to appreciate Alamo as my car rental company of choice. Car was clean and ready to go. Staff were helpful and courteous both in the terminal and in the lot. This was the first time I ever rented a car. The experience was wonderful.The company rep was very professional and courteous.

Horrible customer service. Was repeatedly hung up on, told “oh well” when I called to ask if the counter would be open for a flight that arrived at 11 when the counter was closing at 11, was given 3 free days only to find out after I can’t use them on this rental, overcharged, then was told they wouldn’t close out my bill until a supervisor called me- never did and then was overcharged. Still waiting on a call. Have rented with alamo for every trip- never again.

We had a great experience renting from Alamo at the Clearwater St. Pete airport. One person in our party was in a wheelchair and the staff went out of their way to assist us. One employee even went so far as to bring the car up to the terminal so we didn’t had to make our way out to the lot with the wheelchair. The car we received was fabulous. We couldn’t have been happier!

Rental was ready when we arrived, although it took an inordinate amount of time at the counter with only one agent. The car was clean and in good working condition. With any rental at PIE, ongoing construction causes renters to have to take an 8 minute walk with luggage out to the rental lot. The airport doesnt provide a shuttle. Glad it wasnt raining.

I have switched from a large rental company to Alamo after several bad service experiences. And I am glad .First at Alamo, I have always had good people to talk to whether at the airport terminal or at the car lot even at 5 am.They all ways enquire about satisfaction and will make it right.Also I found their prices very competitive and they honor the online rental agreement.

We had an awesome experience when we rented from Alamo at PIE. Everyone was very professional and answered all of our questions. The car was in great shape (not like some other unnamed car rental companies). The rental and return processes were smooth and took no time at all. We will definitely recommend Alamo and rent from them whenever we can!

Guest services at this rental establishment were very nice. They went beyond to help us and get our car as quickly as possible. The only issue I had was with the provided GPS needed to be updated. We notified them and it was taken care of. The car was clean gassed up and no problems were had.

From now on its Alamo for me whenever I need to rent a car! The whole process/experience was exceptionally pleasant, enjoyable, and painless! Everyone was so nice/friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. There was a wonderful man who took us to our car in the parking lot at 11:00 pm when we arrived and a cheerful woman who did our return. Alamo should be the model for all car rental companies. My niece and I could not get over how outstanding the service was!

While the Alamo rental agreement went fairly smoothly, there were additional fees for just about everything under the sun, including an additional driver which we declined due to the cost. The kicker came when we wanted to extend our rental for another week and were quoted $430! They thought they had us over a barrel I guess. They were wrong - we simply returned the car and rented from someone else.

Our flight was delayed which had us arrive at 12:30 am, 30 minutes after the airport and Alamo closes. Called to see how that would affect us getting our car, they assured me they would stay late. They were well prepared to deal with anxious and tired passengers by working quickly and efficiently to get us on the road. I would highly recommend this branch of Alamo, well be renting from them again anytime I need a car.

Kiosk check-in, ( with assistance ) was great! On my way to my car in less than 5 minutes! Side note.......we use Alamo regularly....3 years ago our plane to Myrtle Beach was delayed for 5 hours and we didnt arrive until 3am. Alamo counter, knowing we were delayed, was STILL ATTENDED! Others were closed. That type of service deserves and receives our loyalty!

Megan went out of her way to accommodate me and get me in a car and on my way. Brian checked me out when I returned and another pleasant experience. I fly into this location via Allegiant about every other month. They always do a great job and this is the only place I will use. THANK YOU for always treating me like a queen.

They had at least four agents working the desk when we arrived so the line moved very quickly. I was really impressed by that. We got our car quickly, without a lot of harassment over insurance, etc., which has become so common these days. When we returned the car, it only took a few minutes. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and pleasant. Excellent experience.

The car itself provided great gas mileage while at the same time it had reasonably good pickup. The interior front window of every Alamo car I ever rented has always been dirty. Usually I take a microfiber cloth to clean it. But I forgot this time. Bluetooth worked nicely with my phone. Check in crew at the front desk was great as always. Returning the car was easy and painless. Overall, a good experience.

Our agent, Greg, at the Clearwater St. Petersburg airport was exceptionally polite and friendly. He so impressed us. We talked several times about how nice everyone with Alamo treated us. Even the agent who met us as we brought our vehicle back was very professional and polite. He even mention to us that we really appreciate your business. Its nice to have exceptionally nice service. Thank you for training employees so well. We will be back for more rentals.

Great service and prices. I lost a backpack while at the desk and in the hurry of renting a vehicle and being overtired from my flight I simply left the backpack on the floor. I thought for sure I would never see it again but thanks to a wonderful lady, Christine, an Alamo staff person who took charge when seeing it and by holding it in the office there at Alamo, I was able to get it back and enjoy my vacation. She was beyond wonderful. She was very friendly and most helpful in making sure she held the backpack at her office. Also a gentleman named Jim who waited on my husband and I when renting a vehicle was most friendly and patient with me. I cant say enough good about these two sales agents and the Alamo at PIE airport.

Quick picked up of our rental and easy return.

I reported scratches when receiving the vehicle. They were noted before I left the lot. When I returned the vehicle, we were told that there was NO NEW scratches and we were cleared to leave. Fast forward a week and i got a CLAIMS letter about damage to the vehicle I rented. The people at this branch have lied. Thankfully, we took pictures. I would NOT rent from these LIARS! Unacceptable!👎

We got a great rate on the car rental; however, check in did not go well. Make sure that the credit card you use matches the driver or you will have wasted your time doing everything in advance. On the plus side, returning the vehicle went extremely well and our attendant gave us a small credit for the problems with check-in. I would use Alamo again.

Great experience! My first time renting a car. Used the computer terminal at the airport - it had a kink in it, but Andrew got it working right away. We were out of there in a clean, nice car in no time. No trying to upsell, and Andrew gave us a few pointers!! Check back in was just as easy - it was great. Thanks for the easy transaction!

We love to get an Alamo car at St. Pete airport because there is a guy there that is the best! We have met him a couple of times and he helps out with people using the kiosk. I think his name is Carl but not sure. He will set your vacation off just right. Since we switched to Alamo for our car rentals we have been so happy. The ease of getting and returning is out of this world awesome. Everyone we have spoken with at Alamo is very friendly and helpful. Remember to get your app and use the kiosk. You wont be disappointed. I want to go back to PIE just to see that great guy. I would love to hang out with him all day!

We had a Great experience with Alamo once we arrived at the PIE airport this past weekend. Tisha and Danielle were very helpful and served us with a smile and good attitude and even gave us an awesome upgrade free! Will definitely book with them next time we fly in to St. Petes. It was nice to see an airport car rental booth that was staffed with just more than one representative; so the line moved very quickly. The representative {Marty I think} really understood that travelers really didnt want to spend their precious time waiting in the airport; he was all business, but also very pleasant. He worked through all of the required docs as well as offered an upgrade {for an additional fee} that I didnt need this trip. The lot attendants when picking up the car seem to be looking for something to do; all huddled together is not a good sign. However the lot attendant who checked me back in was welcoming and had a great personality.All in all, my experience with Alamo was very good.

Alamo is the best place to rent a car. They are cheap and the best condition and friendly staff. When i went to get my reservation for first time I run into a little conflict with one of the members but when I came back to return the car they asked me if everything was good and if I had a nice vacation, really nice lady so I told her what happened the first time I got the car and she give me a choice of $10 or $20 refund to make it right which it was nice of her.

Great Customer service. Nice car, easy return. Hidden fees and Flordia taxes unreal. I paid double plus 30.00 to the original cost of rental. Say the a airport also adds retail fees. Ill think twice before doing this again.

My wife had previously set up our rental, we got to the airport and needed to upgrade due to luggage. I asked for something large enough to accommodate 4 people and 4 pieces of luggage when I was told they had four options for me. I was given a Range Rover Evoque which made us have to put one piece of luggage in the back seat. I paid almost $900 for this premium vehicle for 10 days and they reassured me that they had a half price sale going on. This was a joke and if I had more time I would have went back in, cancelled that mess and went with Enterprise.

I used Alamo on my vacation to St Pete. Everything was Great! Quick service at the counter. Gave them my information and no questions asked. I was out in the rental car within 5 to 10 minutes. When I returned the car, there was a representative in the parking lot that met me and examined the car and took the keys. Everything very accurate a simple. I will definitely use Alamo Again in the future!

Had a greay rental experience at Alamo at PIE Airport. Great check-in with the kiosk at baggage claim, great WALK to the rental car lot (NO BUS RIDE TO RENTAL CAR TERMINAL ) . Great car, fantastic return. Very helpful return staff and even a phone call from Josh the Rental manager about our car rental experience! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

The rental counter is right in front of the baggage claim area.It is shared by several car rental companies. Getting your rental car is fast and easy if you already have a reservation. Plus they have 2 self serve kiosks that allows you to check in yourself and speed up the process of getting the keys to your rental car.I have a pleasant experience at this location and staff are friendly and helpful. Also it is not overcrowded like any other main hub airports. The car lot is just a short walk across the street from the baggage claim area. Getting in and out of the rental place is also easy.I am pleased with the experience.
