I had a 12 month lease at this location. Overall, pretty content with the living situation. The complex is always clean, the pool area is very relaxing and fun. Never had any major issues with maintenance or my lease.During COVID the offices did everything to make sure my husband and I felt safe when moving into the apartment.

Apartments are good size and nicely updated for the price. Maintenance and leasing staff are friendly, and always quick to help. Grounds are well kept.Cons: Gates occasionally breaks mainly because people drive into it (I’ve seen this). No security cameras or security on siteParking was pretty bad but seems to have gotten better? Many people have several guest over at once. Causing paying tenants to park outside the gate.

POOR business ethics! My application was accepted and approved. Upon approval my acceptance offer of rent was higher then what the associate quoted when touring the apartment. I politely called corporate and spoke with a team rep asking for someone to provide me with information regarding the price difference. The price was higher. It has been over 2 weeks and still no reply. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. I have called and left 3 more messages at the property and corporate office. I have allowed this company to run my credit which lowered my score and now I am unable to get in touch with them regarding rent questions.I AM AN NURSE working hard everyday during COVD.I am unsure if the company is being bias because I am an African American. A simple call and explanation would of quickly fixed this issue. Maybe the tour guide made a mistake when he quoted a lower rent amount. That is okay but as a business you return the call and explain the error. This makes me believe the higher price rent quoted in the acceptance offer was incorrect and the company do not want to correct it. Otherwise why not call and explain this miscommunication.

Signed lease with nice people (they always super nice when you sign lease :D), and give back keys to different people, no trouble with them and they had no trouble with me.Gates, parking and homeless people in the buildings close to famous Walmart ... you already read it in others reviews.WALMART!!: Please be aware apartments facing Walmart!! Stay away! This apartments should be for free. Buses driving all the time, noise from parking - screams, police, fire department every day, Walmart plays radio from outside speakers all day long.... A BAD EXPERIENCE: today 07/29/2020 I canceled my apartment rental, I would move on 08/01/2020, 3 days ago trying to contact Peter (person who always attended to me), I gave up. I applied and was approved immediately. 2 days later I was charged $ 395 of booking fee, so far so good, but on the 25th I learned that this amount is not deducted from the deposit amount. absurd to charge $ 395 in reserve, and I have already been approved and signed a contract.

Since we moved in there has been a non stop roach problem. We’re only four months in and there is an ant infestation in the bedroom and closet. We are forced to pay for these ammenities each month this shouldn’t be an issue. My dog is currently a better exterminator than the paid “professionals” you send to fix this re occurring issue. I could sit hear and go on about other things that are listed on the description of this “high end “gated” community but instead I’m sitting outside of this gate that WILL NOT open with my key fab (oh yeah, the gate NEVER works properly) as I’m informing you on the most unsanitary and unreliable apartment complex. We toured here in late Feb/early March. Its a really gorgeous community and the apartments are spacious and in good condition. It seemed like a safe and pretty community though and the staff was pleasant.

If youre considering living here, please ignore all these negative reviews. We moved in a little under a year ago. This complex is gorgeous! I love our spacious apartment and all our neighbors are friendly. The staff has always been friendly and attentive to me. They do many fun things here like freebies for holidays, complimentary fitness classes, occasional free breakfasts/food and food truck Tuesdays. They work hard to ensure this feels like a community.Bottom line though: do not live here if you want absolute silence. it is a rather young community with many couples, some with small children, and a TON of dogs. Yes, there will be dogs barking. But, if you have a pup youll appreciate all the pals theyll make! The noise neighbors make has never disturbed me and is honestly the level youd expect living in a complex.

The maintenance team is great; always quick and friendly when responding to requests. Id give it 4.5 stars overall if possible. Perhaps when its time to renew for our third year I might evaluate other options simply based on the annual inflation of rent. Would be nice to see some special offers/incentives for longer term renters upon renewal. That said, how anyone can rate this place a 1 or 2 star is beyond me.

I have been living here for almost 2 years. Maintenance blames you for the majority of repairs and attempts to charge you for them. Walls are paper thin. Im constantly hearing neighbors around me play with pets and watching tv and can even hear lite conversations. Ive had two major ant infestations and silverfish everywhere. This place has VERY CHEAP appliances, light fixtures and build quality. This place is OVERPRICED for what you get. Also night parking is a NIGHTMARE. I have to park at the other end of the community when I come home for work around 11:45pm.The only great thing is the office staff. They are always very helpful and always smiling. The office manager does what he can to resolve issues in my favor and Im super grateful.

Everything has been great here from neighbors to amenities to the front office staff. I only have one complaint. Dont plan on staying here more than a year, they will screw you on rent on year 2. I have several friends that had to leave because of pricing hikes on year 2. I run a multi-million dollar business and I understand the law of economics but they will almost certainty raise your rent if you re-new. Unfortunately they are charging me $200 more a month right now then someone that could move in tomorrow. My lease would have run out 9/22 so you cant justify price increases. Their projections are off and they force you to make a decision 60 days prior not knowing what pricing will look like. Wheres the loyalty is all I ask? Im definitely not renewing next year but have enjoyed my stay thus far and would recommend Gateway to anyone looking for a nice place to live.

First, he said that he was unable to show us an apartment because he has an appointment at 4:00 p.m and that he can only took my personal info to send me more information about the apartment. Second, when I was saying my personal info, he was more interested in watching the football game on the TV behind us. Third, he asked if we want specifics things for our apartment, and I said no. To this, he replied in a disrespectful way you only want a ceiling and walls.I do NOT recommend anyone to visit this place.

I have lived in this apartment complex for the last 7 months and I really liked it. I moved out from my old apartment before this one because the management of the property was helpless and the rent kept soaring up. I liked gateway north management as they were very kind people and tried their best to help you no matter what you need especially Tiffany was a really nice lady. One think that I really think highly of them is when I decided to break the lease and wanted to move in with my boyfriend in his house, I paid off the break lease fee which is about two month rent and they were telling me they can potentially refund me if they rent it out within 2 Months which they did. They gave me a big refund which shows they rented out a few days after I moved out and they are very reliable people. Besides all that, this property has a good location and newer construction, newer renovation and relatively big in room size. I speak highly of this property and the management.

New Management Sucks!!! These apartments have been taken over by new management as recent as December. I went to pay rent the first of the month, and the office was closed, the management did not notify the renters in no way shape or form that the office would not be open to collect THEIR money, left voicemails and never received a call back the following day. Therefore I was subdued to pay online, in which they did not notify renters that the pay portal changed. Long story short I paid online and the bank refunded me the money, the office never caught on, so I repaid the rent right away. Then over communicated on the phone and walked into the office and spoke to two different individuals explaining that I re-paid one months rent because of bank account issues. Then the staff stressed that I actually paid two months rent and that both payments were successful. I said no I only paid one months rent, and overly communicated this because I did not want to be charged a late fee or NSF in the long run. I was told no, everything worked out and if anything changed I would receive a call. I never received a call, and recently got a statement for an outstanding balance with no explanation to go along. Then I was called to speak about the issue, just for the individual not to acknowledge, that the staff was not organized enough to call me back or even catch onto that they had not been paid, even though I actually told them a number of times, and just for the manager to tell me, the apartments still has to charge me because the bank charged them, which I think should be common courtesy and customer service to forgo the charge, but they obviously lack in details of the sort.. They also can not get small details correct, such as having someone date of birth as being born 2015. Another neighbor states they just moved in as management changed and now the new management has given them problems of not honoring the special of 1 months rent free for particular units. As well as, I had a number of other neighbors state that their rent invoices were incorrect as well. Beautiful Apartments, but new management is piss poor and blames every issue on just recently taking over the apartments.

These are very nice apartments I honestly feel that they discriminate against certain applicants, me and my boyfriend applied for residency at these apartments over a week ago as they know we are pressed for time. We’ve been calling everyday this week leaving messages requesting updates on application not one returned call! Finally spoke with andres today and he is still giving run around saying app has to be processed again and again. This is ridiculous my boyfriend makes way over 3x the rent at a job he’s been at for years with no criminal background whatsoever and pretty descent credit. I just think there’s no reason why they can’t even provide us with a simple yes or no but then goes on to say they had to put a ticket in to re process application which usually takes 24hrs but we have been waiting over a week for him to try and put us in another apartment which is way more than initial quote. These people never intended on reaching back to us very unprofessional if they needed money to hold apartment it would have been no problem but instead play with our time. I’m going to do everything in power to make sure owners/upper management are aware of how we have been treated. Literally has been twelve days since app was submitted. My boyfriend and myself went to look at Gateway North in Clearwater,Fl in the beginning of February. After waiting a minimum of 45min to be seen we were finally taken to see the model we were interested in. We filled out the online application that same day.We were told we would receive a welcome letter email once we were approved; getting approved didnt take long, however receiving confirmation from the staff that we were did....For two months my boyfriend called asking when we would receive the welcome letter email ,which details how to set up Duke Energy, renters insurance and leasing documents. For two months he was told sorry and that they were having internet issues, it would be sent today, and that they were in the process of having new management take over all of which may have caused the confusion. However the welcome email was never sent......for TWO AND HALF MONTHS.Today and I called and detailed the issue and the welcome email was finally sent, however at that point I was already over the situation and didnt want the apartment so I called back to cancel.I already knew we wouldnt receive the application fees back as that was clearly stated on what we signed in February, however I was expecting the $125 security deposit back which was said to be refundable. However I was told that we wouldnt receive any of the money because we cancelled too late. That is the craziest thing Ive ever heard. Gateway Norths website boost about how great their service is but Ive experienced otherwise. It is amazing how so many companies brag about their great customer service until you actually need great service. We cancelled our lease because we hadnt received great customer service from the beginning. And now we are being punished for not dealing with their nonsense.Do not move into this place.Previous comments say this apartment has had new management once in the past and the representatives responding to those emails blame the old management for service issues however new management has the same problem. The least they can do is attempt to fix the old managements or in-between management mistakes.

Also, loud neighbors and obnoxious dogs.Im an animal lover, but nearly everyone in this apartment complex has a pet, so you will hear constant barking. When Im trying to relax at the end of the day, its a bit frustrating to hear nothing but traffic from US19 and yappy dogs.All-in-all, its the nicest complex around, so I dont let the little things get to me. However, if youre not the type to tune out noise (like some other neighbors Ive met) Id recommend looking elsewhere.

In January on a cold Sunday afternoon, my boyfriend and I went in a new unit of time to look at their available two bedrooms. For comparison, we looked at a 1 bedroom and ended up liking it more. The guy (who said he was a temp) showed us two available units on the first floor; one on the front side (near the main entrance) and one on the backside (wal-mart view). I obviously didnt want a wal-mart view, and knew we should put in the deposit and application for the one we did like on the main side.As a side bar, they will probably copy and paste their response to my review...Anyway, so we fill out the applications, the guy didnt really know what he was doing. He asked us which unit and we said the one on the main side, NOT THE WAL-MART side. Unfortunately, I didnt know what the unit number was, and he ended up putting our application and hold on the Wal-Mart side apartment. I didnt find out in the most pleasant way either. That part comes later.I was told by Jennifer (assistant property manager) that she would let me know the next day if we were approved. I dropped the check off Monday at lunch and I awaited her phone call... Nothing. Tuesday, I called and spoke to Dexter (property manager) and he was super apologetic, he said he would find out what was happening. Nothing. Wednesday, I talked to Dexter and he said it was still processing. Thursday, we finally found out we were approved. Dexter asked if we wanted to do the walk through and sign the lease over the weekend and I said no we can wait. Well Saturday, I wanted to show my mom the place because I was super excited about my nice new apartment in a wonderful location on the property. We showed up and the lady who was helping us was pretty clueless. She didnt ask for my ID. I told her we had gotten approved and I wanted to show my mom the place. So she found my file, and got the keys and we started walking toward the back of the building... I told her it wasnt in that building, it was in the front. She said thats not possible and asked for the unit number. We showed her which one we looked at and put the deposit on. We went back to the office and it wasnt showing up on her system as vacant. So she calls her manager over (Jennifer) and she says the unit is rented out and someone was moving in RIGHT NOW. I was really upset (understandably) because they were trying to take advantage of me and put me in a unit I didnt want or like! So I tell her we put the deposit down, and we saw it was available when we looked at it. So if we put our deposit down first, its ours. Not whoever is moving in.She said she had to talk to the property manager (Dexter) to find out what to do and she would let me know. I told her I needed her to find out ASAP.So we leave, Im upset. I have a feeling they wont actually call me back. I call them, no answer. Typical. So I call over and over until someone picks up the phone, Jennifer says she hasnt heard anything and will let me know. My boyfriend calls her back 20 minutes later. After not answering several times, she picks up and says she doesnt know anything. I decide we should just go over there and wait in person so they cant ignore us.We get there and Jennifer takes us right into her office. Tells us she doesnt know what happened and shes really sorry. Offers to help us find another unit, but they dont have any available. Only the one we didnt want. So we decline and ask for our money back, which she says comes from their home office in Canada.Long story short, I just got the check yesterday (it took 9 business days when I was promised 6-8) and I literally had to call them every day to ask where it was.Theres good places in Clearwater, do your research. I want to make sure this never happens to someone else.

Not sure how people are having so many issues. Moved into a 2/2 apartment back in December and have had absolutely zero issues. The complex:Gates that require a key fob to gain entrance, and quick to close so people cannot ride in behind you easily. Neighbors are great, very friendly and the grounds are very well taken care of. Plenty of green grass and clean all around. There is plenty of space to walk freely when taking the dog out, the bark park is a great size in an enclosed area, the gym is very cardio oriented but also offers free weights. The AC units are strategically placed to avoid the sun, which keeps the apartments energy efficient. The apartment:Since these are new apartments, there is very little to complain about. The kitchen is the staple of this community, lot of cabinets, black appliances are solid, the single basin sink is awesome and the granite countertops are very convenient for cleaning. I highly suggest the third floor if possible, the higher ceiling truly makes the apartment grander. The managementThe previous staff and management were extremely helpful when helping us pick out our apartment. As with anywhere you go, come in with a good attitude, and you will reap the benefits. I did notice with the new management taking over, there is a larger presence of staff driving around the community in golf carts, which I think is great. Been here 5 months and havent had to engage the staff at all though, which obviously means I have had zero issues.Pricing:Prices seem to have gone up with the new management on the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, but the 1 bedrooms seem to have gone down. I feel the prices are fair considering these apartments are freshly built. My electric bill comes in at 75 a month, which is amazing considering I keep the AC running at 73 all day, even while at work. Water comes in around 30 to 35 a month. There is also a garbage and admin fee on top of your rent and water charges of $ 25 and $ 7 dollars, respectively. You leave out the trash bin between 6 and 8pm for the valet trash service to come by at 8pm on the dot to pick up for you. 5 days a week. Very convenient and they have not missed a single day yet. Overall, I feel the pricing for these apartments are fair. The areaFood EVERYWHERE. So many options from fast food such as McDonalds, to Longhorns, Cheddars, Chillis, all less than 2 minutes drives. There is also a huge Wal Mart right around the side whereby you can leave and enter through a keypad locked gate in the community. Also next to the highway that can take you up north or south.Cons?Probably the only con I can think of is the parking, its first come first serve including guests, who do not require decals...making the decals for residents worthless. Thankfully, there is plenty of parking so it is a non issue. Also, really wish there was a tennis court. Though I guess the epic resort style, beach cabana pool makes up for it.

(I have now lived here for well over a year, and am updating this review for the second time.)From start to finish the staff has gone above and beyond to make this move as smooth as possible. But, as always, there have been bumps.Pros: Gorgeous grounds. Spectacularly maintained and just very visually appealing. After over a year of living here, the grounds are still spectacularly maintained. It is gorgeous as the plants and trees settle.Fantastic amenities: Gym (3 treadmills with tvs, 2 ellipticals with tvs, 2 exercise bikes with interactive race screens, free weights, multiple weight machines, multiple balance balls, yoga mats, and a frame to do those awful reverse crunches on)Personal trainer comes by to do boot camp and yoga 2x a week.Gorgeous clover shaped pool with fountains all behind self locking gates, so small children or pets cannot simply wander in. Lots of lounge chairs, including two cabanas in a sand beach area. A pond with a walking path around it that is also a dog walk area.2 grills in a circular bar serving area that includes sinks.Wonderfully convenient location right on US 19, next to a Walmart, a gas station, multiple restaurants, everything you need within minutes.Holy buckets, there is a Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby! Which, coupled with the 3 resident wifi enabled computers and print/scan/copy machine, makes it a free internet cafe!Sheltered car care area.A tire pump for bikes now.Package acceptance in the office as well as keyed package boxes for oversized mail.Security features! The entire community is gated. Key fobs required to get onto grounds and into community areas. Even the walking path requires a code to get onto the property, which makes it easy to walk over to the Walmart but hard for random passerby to walk in. The mail boxes are behind the gate (and in a shelter from the elements) so mail is secure.Granite counter tops in a walk-through kitchen. Nice! Super quiet appliances. Aircon, washer, dryer, and dishwasher are all incredibly whisper soft.Maintenance responds very, very quickly. Like whoa, excellent service.Community events held. Not as often since new management, but now we get food trucks on the regular.Valet garbage service 5 days a week. Put your provided garbage can outside your door and garbage magically goes away!Really wide staircases for your furniture moving needs!Cons: Two days into my stay and the air conditioner fails. It was fixed that day, but a week later it failed again. Havent had trouble in the year since. No elevators in 3 story buildings. Made moving into a 3rd story apt. hard work, and carrying groceries a real pain. Also, my friends and family with physical limitations are unable to visit.Paint on doors is peeling off. This is just strange, as its a brand new complex, but its flaking off around the hardware. The complex provided me with small amounts of matching paint so that my little OCD heart could repair it at will! Not enough garages for apartments, so there is a waiting list. Its even longer if you want a garage in the same area as your building as well as extra on rent to have one. All parking is 1st come 1st served and now that the apartments are filled, getting a spot can be troublesome at times. The issues with not having an overhead light or fan in my 2nd bedroom was resolved. While I still have to pay for one, the complex now offers them for sale and maintenance will install it free of charge! Good enough! All in all, its just a fabulous place.***As of May 1st, 2016 the Walmart next door is now a public bus center for 3 major lines (19, 52, and 79). If traffic noise disturbs you, do not get an apartment on the Walmart side as busses run past every 10 minutes. So, hooray for easy access to public transport! But boo if you are bothered by traffic noise, which was going to be a problem for you anyway what with a clear sight line of US 19 a block away.)***

My experience has been fair. I love my apartment and the staff but Ive had my share of bad dealings. My neighbors upstairs sound like they have a bowling alley in their apartment. Makes it very hard to be in my apartment when they are home. We were charged a penalty for the trash being out before 7. Im not sure what we are supposed to do if the trash is stinky and no one would be home to put it out right at 7! Another penalty for the bag being on the ground, but judging by the picture they took and left on my door...the bag had clearly fallen over. I guess Im supposed to be on garbage bag watch until they come and collect it. I chuck these up as a lost because thats whats expected when apartment living. But the main reason I will not rent with them again is because I referred my cousin to the apartment complex and I was denied my referral credit. She moved in 2 months after me and I was there when she met the leasing agent and had her tour of the apartment. Insured her that she was in good hands. But bc she didnt tell them I referred her ON PAPER I was not eligible for my credit. I guess me being a current resident and telling them she was my cousin, AND being there for her tour wasnt substantial evidence. So I definitely stopped referring people at that point. Not to mention we were never given the contact info for the Verizon representative and we pay almost 200 dollars for cable with no gift cards or incentives. Ive just been counting down the months until move out!
