I must say that when I decided to write this review, I was quite taken aback by some of the comments because I have not experienced anything remotely like others have said. I find Republic Services of Cincinnati to be outstanding.They have been responsive to all my companys needs. As you probably have seen in other comments, the true gem is Lisa Stouffer. As the face and voice of the company, she is a wonderful person to work with. While managing a thousand accounts, she remembers who I am, what I need, and gets it for me right away. And really, I dont call but a couple times a year.I know there are a number of other great people who work there and make it all happen. She cant do it alone.Put aside those other comments... there may be alternative reasons for them. In the meantime, I want you to know I am very happy with Republic Services of Cincinnati and if you need garbage collection, look Lisa up and together with the rest of the crew, they will get you free and clear of your refuse.

First used Republic when I couldnt get the dumpster I needed from the company I was using. For starters, I found them to be slightly less expensive, but the main reason I keep going back is a the professionalism and responsiveness of my contact, Lisa Stouffer. She makes it fast and easy to set up a dumpster delivery, dump or removal. If I was only reviewing Lisa this would be a 5 star review. But, due to the same staffing struggles that we are all experiencing, sometimes a delivery or removal doesnt happen according the schedule and is a day delayed. For this reason, I could not honestly give 5 stars.

Disrespectful and distant staff that will not act neighborly and allow operations to operate at commercial locations between 4-6am in residential neighborhoods.Waking those affected up in the middle of the night to loud bangs, glass shattering, beeping, and speeding off sounds.Why cant these come past 7am and before 11pm anymore ? After receiving a noise complaint at 5:40am, they sent the following weeks driver up at 5:02am.This is not a business that should be allowed to operate at such decibals at these times, weekly garbage disposal is not an emergency.

Time will tell!The company has seemed more reasonable with the return policy returning me most the money I haven’t used. However we will see if they charge me for the return of the trash cans, which I offered to return free of charge but that was not possible . Hopefully I can delete this whole review

At this point I believe the company is intentionally committing fraud. They will not let me cancel my service. They keep telling me someone will call me back to cancel. No one ever calls back. This same call has been made 7 times over the last month. They will not give a phone number to contact someone to cancel the service. Long hold times >30 mins. Many calls after being on hold for >20 mins have end with being hung up on after the phone starts to ring. Buyer beware. I would avoid Republic services.

During the covid lockdown we were forced to close the business and asked them to pick up our $250/month container and they would not! They said we had to keep paying even though we were closed for 14 months +. We are now open again and will not use Republic ever again at any of our locations!!!!!

We live in Batavia Ohio, we had a time when my husband was between jobs so our bill lapsed one time and they canceled our service. When we got back on our feet we tried to get our service back and offered to pay all the reinstatement fees and everything. We were told they aren’t talking on new clients but I watched all the new people in the neighborhood getting their garbage picked up so that was a lie. Batavia only uses the republic service so we have no other way to get rid of our garage.

I have a apt building and recently cancelled this service. my bill keeps going up every couple of months without any notice. I recently had a $500 bill for one month because of overages and i usually pay $100 a month. i will attach a picture of the dumpster overage. They didnt work with me at all to fix this problem. i would not recommend them if you just want to pay a flat fee every month. i was set up on auto pay and had to change my autopay to a limit because my bill would be twice as much as it should be every other month. If you run a small business, or have rental properties it is very frustrating to be fighting with a dumpster co. I JUST WANT TO PAY MY BILL AND HAVE THEM PICK UP MY TRASH! i dont want to play these games every month.

Awful awful garbage service the driver only picks up my trash 1 out of 10 times he makes up reasons not to. the managers say they are going to talk to him they dont do anything. He almost hit me with truck when i tried to ask him a question i am a mom of 3 whose husband passed away after being injured in Afghanistan. Please never use this service after how theyve treated me horribly ALWAYS USE RUMPKE they always treat me so nicely their drivers are top notch super kind.

They randomly took our trash can this week (8/31/20) without notice. My husband emailed to see if they took it as we werent sure if our can was stolen or what had happened. He was informed he had to call. Upon calling they advised that our account was deactivated in June due to a past due invoice in March. We have no past due balance and received an invoice 7/2/20 due 7/20/20, which was paid, and our balance shows $0 due. When my husband advised customer service of this, he was told that him having an emailed invoice is impossible because we are not set up for ebilling, so essentially calling us liars. We have received EVERY invoice via email. They still didnt believe him, so he literally had to read the entire email. When he asked why were not notified that our account was deactivated, they claimed they mailed notices to us-which we never received, you know, since we are ebilling...Then he asked if our account was deactivated in June, why did we get a bill 7/2/20 AND they have been picking up our trash for close to 3 months. Apparently, we were supposed to just know this and call to activate the account. Now I have no trash can until the next trash pick up day AND they made us pay in advance... Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of our countys contract with this terribly unorganized and unprofessional company.

Skipped pick ups!!! When called customer service to let them know they said they would be out the next day. Still didn’t come!! Called again and said they would come within 48 hours, called to ask what time frame, the phone agents were rude and gave no help. I told them I wanted a refund for the weeks that the trash was not removed and the agent said no!! She told me I had not filed a missed pickup even though I had just filed two!!

I have had a business account with Republic with a contract and emails from Lisa Stouffer my now account rep. My bills are incorrect they cut off my services even though I have paid my contracted price. I have been told several times it will be taken care of on the billing end and it has not been taken care of. No wonder their rating is so low. Ive contacted them many times about the problem and continue to get overcharged and now they have cut off service. They are out of Mosteller Rd but bills go to Louisville. Ive recently sent a certified letter to the company located on Mosteller Road along with the email from them stating my rate and guaranteed price. Fyi dont use this company. Take it straight from a business owner. Poor poor service!

Trying to get anything done with their customer service department is a waste of time. After 4 calls I requested a supervisor and finally got my issue resolved. I will say the supervisors were very helpful and courteous. Overall, as a new customer my opinion right now about this company is not very good.

Called to have a lockbar installed on our dumpster or replace dumpster with lockbar on Oct 22 and paid them $120. Called them multiple times a week and each call ends with them saying I will get a call back by the end of the day from someone who can help me. I did speak with a worker who was going out to look at the dumpster. He went to the wrong place first. I called on Dec 7th with the same promise of a call by the end of the day. It is now December 9th and nothing has been done. Emailed my manager to see about ending the contract with them. Apparently they dont need our business after stealing $120 and doing nothing for us.update 10Dec20: So when everyone can see issues your customers are having you are actually interested in resolving them by asking the customer to contact you again? How about calling me back? Search my name in your system. If you cant find it, I gave you the date that I first called, how much I paid you, AND the reason for the call. You have all that information. Use it. I expect to hear from someone today.final update: cancelled the request and got the $120 back.

Absolute horrible customer service, I know that they are off on Friday, (Christmas) so we waited for the next say. This company lies. They said that they will be arriving today or tomorrow, both days never came. We called and we are very upset, our trash is piled up like mountains, and we asked the customer service guy for her name. SHe said. You dont need to know my name. We hang up in the instant she finished that sentence. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

These guys have some of the rudest customer service reps anywhereSo discovered a few months ago that when we had a damaged can swapped out 2.5 years ago they messed up and added it as a 3rd can. Essentially charging us 30 more per bill for the next 2.5 years. I called over and over and the lazy reps all bounced me between sales and the customer relations desk. They admitted their mistake but refused to credit me the money back or send me a refund. They pretty much stole the money from me and it got to the point where their rudeness and we dont care attitude just wore me down and I cancelled service. I switched to rumpke and will never go back. Its unbelievable how a multi million dollar company can be so rude to customers. At least 3x i was purposely hung up on and one lady literally said sir what do you want, a credit for 2.5 years, thats not happeningAvoid these guys

Honestly, their operational services are just fine. They have not missed a pickup in almost 3 years. Id give their driver a 6 pack for Christmas if I ever saw him / her. Theyre doing their job just fine.However, the corporate and local customer supports disdain for me as the customer is unprecedented. They have their contract and dont give a rip about anything I say or ask of them since Im their captive and frankly wont remember to opt out of their auto renewing contract. Just recently they sent us a bill for 30% more with no increased disposal on our end. When asked about it, I was told theyre entitled to whatever price increase they want and, oh, dont forget, youre under contract, be sure to smile as you write that larger check each month.Edit- for the record, your lip service where you pretended to care in response to my review is just as infuriating as my initial concern. 0/10, would not recommend.

The driver dropped my can in the truck. Which is no big deal he called in to have the can replaced. The issue is that after 3 days I still have no can. I called Republic to find out when I would receive the new one and she told me it would be a week (the day after my next pick up). This puts me 2 weeks with out a place to put my trash. The lady on the phone was absolutely zero help. She told me to put the bags at the street and they would pick them up. I live in the country, if I put bags out there an animal will get into them. On top of that now ill have a weeks worth of trash sitting and stinking in my garage. Unfortunately where I live I have no other options for trash service. This is the BULL that happens when companies know you cant fire them.

West Chester Area - Terrible service had to call every week just to get my garbage picked up and most of the time they still did not pick it up. Customer Service had no clue of the drivers routes or daily schedules or if they were even running. Seems to be a scam company deliver my bin for $7 no problem and will pick it up for $7 no problem but we will not ever get your garbage.

Horrible horrible horrible! After they leave there is trash every where all up and down the street! I have called them numerous Times and it does not seem to matter. They make notes but No changes are ever made! Trash cans are always blocking my driveway so I have to stop my car in the middle of the road to move the trash cans just so I can get into my driveway, I have asked them not to do that and again it doesn’t matter what you say they do as they please! They miss pickups and I’ve been told the driver was sick!Beware do not use this service!

Horrible Customer Service!!! Driver missed scheduled pickup, and didn’t even stop for second scheduled pickup. Driver needs to be fired!!!! Spoke to CS and sat on hold, got passed around to 5 different people, wasted an hour of my time just to listen to a bunch of excuses and zero resolutions. I’d rather do business with Rumpke.

Three weeks ago, Republic changed my recycle pickup from bi weekly to weekly. Since then, the company has failed to make my recycled pickup on the scheduled day. The excuses are predictable: driver learning the route, driver running late, driver said he would get the pickup later in the day, etc. I tried calling on the day of pickup as a reminder and then every day thereafter until the pickup is made. The customer service clerks answer my calls and pass on the usually false promises given to her by the dispatchers. I use this service because I think competition is good for customers but this is starting to appear to be an unorganized series of promises not kept due to incompetent management. When service is this poor, one would think that management would take the initiative to find and remedy the problem.

Avoid this company at all costs if you can. Missed pickups are a common thing in Anderson Township. And then if you want to cancel service, theyll tell you about a $30 trash can recovery fee that they miraculously neglected to tell you about when you started service with them.Oh, and theyll tell you that they arent required to tell you about the trash can recovery fee when you call to sign up with them.At this point, Id rather pay a slightly higher monthly fee with Rumpke than ever deal with Republic again.BEWARE and AVOID.

Long story in short form. Rented a dumpster from Republic when we were remodeling. Then our house burned down on October 7, 2014. Two days later I called to have the dumpster removed. The following March I get a past due notice for rental fees from October through February. Turns out Republic had never gotten around to removing the dumpster from the burned out property. I am told they will reverse the charges and only charge for the removal of the dumpster. I receive a bill for $99 in June which I paid immediately. In July I receive a bill for $257. When I call I am told that is for the removal and dump fees. After much discussion and Jane saying it was Marys fault and Mary saying it was Joes fault, etc...I paid the damned bill just to be done with these people. I warn you to never do business with them. You WILL get screwed royally!

We are going on week 4 missed pick up! Payments are up to date and When we called, they told us it was due to new drivers on new routes. I have seen their trucks drive past our house multiple times. We were told they would pick up the next day. Never showed! Trash is overflown and animals are getting into it! I highly do NOT recommend their service!

I personally can not understand the bad reviews. I have had the trash service from Republic Services only for a few weeks now, but they were very reliable. They pick up every week, on time, and they pick up everything. Before we switched to Republic Services, our old cans were standing by the curb and one had even fallen over. The old Service was supposed to pick them up that day (and they didnt), so when the guys from Republic got there to pick our trash up, they picked up the other fallen cans up and positioned everything neatly on the curb side. Maybe we are just lucky with the guys who fulfill the service every week, but I could not be any happier! They are doing a great job!In the beginning, we did have issues with the delivery of the can. We basically received it about 10 days late. I called the customer hotline after the 2nd garbage pick up, since we still had not received a can. They appologized, waived the drop off fee (usually, it would cost ~25 dollars) for us and dropped a brand new can off on the same day of my call.In my opinion, there was an error in the system or something, but once they knew the can was missing, they took care of it within 24h.Its sad that others seem to have such a bad experience with this service, because ours is amazing in our area!

I knew I wasn’t crazy... I wish I would have read the reviews first. we’ve been going months without getting our trash picked up. We’re paying for services we are not receiving. I’ve called at this point at least 7 times and there reply is always that someone will call me back. Caroline if you read this just know that you should really reconsider what you’re doing for a living as you are a horrible employee . And if you request for your service to be canceled just know that you have to pay and it takes an additional month for them to remove the dumpster. By far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

Well, once again our trash bin was not picked up this Monday, July 13, 2020. I have reported (online) our missed pick up 4 times this week. I have called twice but was put on hold so long that I had to hang up (I work). I tried again calling at 5pm but got a recording that they are closed. I tried to cancel our account online, but got an email saying that I have to call to cancel...so, I called but was immediately put on hold.. I hung up to do my job, called back but they are closed. These arent new problems. Rumpke is a better choice.HP

Do yourself a favor and use someone else. Just started using Republic and theyve already had multiple missed pickups. Went full weeks with no pickup, called asking why our trash wasnt taken and was told just keep leaving it out there and theyll eventually get it. Just awful service all around.

Had them AND Rumpke overlapping for a week or two. neither one picked up my can. This service had the wrong address at one point. Eventually they picked up the garbage AND threw the can itself away until they delivered their cans.I went without trash service for a couple of years; just taking them down myself on a weekly basis or so.FINALLY decided to give them another try. NOPE. 1 can garbage 1 can recycling. Its been 2 months and they have yet to pick up the recycling. I got home just in time today to see their truck leave my street; my recycling can was in the middle of the road. Think it was empty? nope. So i called today to complain. AGAIN i will not be paying whatever bill they have sent; I guess the $50 deposit I gave them was a waste.If youre not going to pick up a can, DONT leave it in the middle of the street. Are there any COMPETENT Waste Management companies that service West Chester?

Worst garbage company ever. When you have their services they rarely ever pick up your trash unless you call and complain. And when you call and complain so many times for them failing to pick up your trash they will just take your cans without saying anything. Call to get them replaced theyll give you cans that have not been cleaned in years and still have garbage in them. And when you cancel your services they take your personal cans after trespassing on your property and it takes weeks if not longer to even talk to someone. And when I finally got a supervisor to call me back he said he will personally go pick out the can in best shape and cleanest. Well they gave me a can with garbage in it still. Shows what a company they are. Will never do business with them and anyone I know ( which also has plenty of issues) is now canceling their services and going with rumpke.

We really need a ZERO star option - DO NOT give this company business. I spoke with Tralise, David, Courtney, Shawntelle, Celeste, Amanda, Evangeline and TWO supervisors, Nathaniel and Greg. All of these employees were in customer service call centers. ALL insisted they serviced my area for recycling. And a recycling cart was delivered to me. They finally picked up today, and then I received the message from Tonya, here in Cincinnati, a manager of operations, who apologetically informed me they DO NOT service my area. And, upon request of the CEOs telephone number (Don Slager) she supplied three ineffective numbers to reach his office. There are no words to describe the ineptitude.

Republic is a terrible company! My review is no different than anyone elses. This company sucks, period! They doubled my bill without informing me, they claim I have 1 can but have always had 2. They miss my pickup week after week, never an apology, just leave it out, well get it. Yeah...no thanks! 5 years Ive tolerated thus bs from them. Ive cancelled and gone back to Rumpke. Republic says it will be 3 to 4 weeks b4 they can get their cans...no problem republic, Ill dump them in your sharonville yard.

For the last two weeks my recycling has not been picked up. After calling today and asking why, I am more than frustrated. I have had to haul off my own recycling and there was no mention of an adjustment for the lack of services that I pay for. This is the fourth time in a year that we have had this happen. will certainly not be recommending this service to ANYONE I know & I am really close to leaving due to the inefficiency and lack of care that I have received.

I would like to say that the experience i have had with csi waste services was exellent my driver was darrin rick and he is an excellent driver and was always there whenever i called him even on short notice i am very pleased to have worked with him we have recently changed to rumke and time will tell if i get the same service as this company and darrin rick have given over the last 2 years, i will miss him greatly he is an excellent driver and human being. thanks for a great job rick!
