The entire ImproveIt process was first-class from start to finish. From the initial meeting to discuss what we wanted done (new bathroom tub/showers/tile in both master and guest bathrooms), to the estimate, measuring appointment, scheduling, and install. Cody, the manager, and Steve, the installer, both had strong communication. And Steves install craftsmanship was top notch. He also mocked up a couple ceiling options in the garage for us to look at before he installed. He also took time to answer our questions and had a great rapport with us. Install finished on time and to our satisfaction. We highly recommend ImproveIt and make sure to ask for Steve to do the install!

We recently had a shower installed by ImproveIt after ours began leaking through the floor below it. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with ImproveIt and I am glad I did. While I do feel it was more expensive than it would have been elsewhere, I was sold on the lifetime warranty; the way the process went and the finished product make me confident that it was worth it. Communication was great throughout the process. The two installers we worked with were personable, quick and precise.The only thing I don’t love is the financing - I wish I had gotten financing or a loan in advance from my credit union instead of going through the company’s financing program.

Doing a bathroom remodel and had this company change out the window and replace my bathtub/shower with a standalone shower. Service was great as usual and am very happy with the product so far. Third time Ive used the company, windows the first time and insulation the second, and I have no complaints.

We wanted a walk in shower for the master bedroom. They removed the old tub, shower door, faucet, surround,and installed new drywall where needed. The walk in shower is great. It has a 4 height so water getting past the base wont happen. The special glass on the doors doesnt spot. The new fixtures and grab bars are great. The sales person was pushy, and i would have wasted $12,000 if I would have signed. That quote was only for tub replacement and tile around the tub.My bathroom needed floor joist replaced, and I was told that ImproveIT wouldn’t replace the joist. The Sales Person then attempted to pressure me into the bathroom remodel despite the floor being not even. This would have been a huge financial mistake. I hired a different contractor who fixed the structural problems, put in a cast iron tub, and updating all plumbing for the whole bathroom at that cost.TLDR; Sleezy Salesperson would have caused me to have two remodels.

They removed our old tub and the ceramic tile walls down to the studs. They then put in a walk in shower, with safety bars.

First a guy came out from Dayton and he said he would get back ahold of us for an estimate, never called so than when we called, they said that we should have got someone from Cincinnati office and that the guy from Dayton was charging us too much, so we scheduled for someone at the Cincinnati office to come out and they no called, no showed. Very unprofessional, wouldn’t recommend and won’t be using.

Work completed on time with exception of issue with bringing the wrong shower base and wrong caulk which delayed work by 1 day. Then scratched shower header valance which resulted in 6 weeks before new one could be replaced. Would have been 3 weeks but wrong valance was ordered. Besides these issues work was excellent and the quality of the products also excellent. Everyone I dealt with was professional, friendly and tried everything they could to correct issues and provide a positive experience. Would have given 5 stars if not for the issues I sited here.

Quoted us $15,000+ to put a plastic shower in our house after an hour spiel. They basically just sell a fancy plastic shower pan and wall liner.They rationalize high pressure sales tactics by reading a nice letter.To their credit, salesman was extremely professional and courteous.

My wife trusts me to handle an appointment for an estimate, but they insisted that my wife and I must both be present for the appointment. No other contractor Ive worked with has such a requirement. I didnt have the best feeling about them after the phone call, but I went ahead with the appointment, which they said would take 60-90 minutes.The representative they sent seemed very nice. He complimented our home, and asked questions about the smoker I have on our back porch. He inspected our shower and decided that the tile work was shoddy and would need to be completely replaced. This didnt seem totally unreasonable since the grout in the floor was crumbling. In retrospect, he would have come to the same conclusion no matter what he saw.Following the inspection, we sat down at the kitchen table for his presentation/sales pitch. He talked up the company and went over all of the awards theyve received. He then talked through various options for redoing our shower. As it turns out every option is terrible except one. The one that isnt terrible is the product hes trying to sell. His product was a very sciency miracle materiel material, aka plastic. What he didnt know is that my wife and I both have advanced degrees in materials engineering, so we saw right through his B.S. Theres nothing wrong with plastic, and it may be a good product, but its hardly unique.At this point in the process, I hadnt quite figured out that he was going for the hard sell, used car salesman style. He had an affable demeanor and continued to pepper in compliments of our very ugly kitchen. He was very patient with our toddler disrupting the conversation and playing with his material samples. After we selected materials and options, he finally gave us a cost quote. The quote: $16,617!!! Over $16,000 to replace a 3x3 shower that might not even need to be replaced! The quote was good for a year, but if we signed a contract for the work in the next 30 days, we would get about a $1,000 discount. But wait, he had a letter from the owner of the company. It was a very official looking letter, and it gave him permission to give an extra $1500 off if we signed a contract right then and there.My wife and I had not consulted any other contractors for the work, so we werent about to sign a contract for over $13,000 on the spot without a better feel for the market. We hadnt ruled them out, but we needed more information. When we explained this to the salesman, he tried to convince us that it was a foolish waste of time to get more quotes. He said we wouldnt want to sit through yet another 3 hour (yes, he was at our house for 3 hours) presentation. He continued to push, but we held firm. As he packed up his things, my wife thanked him for his time. His response: I just dont understand why you wouldnt sign the contract now and save $1,500, but whatever. He was suddenly quite rude.In retrospect, the sales tactics are quite clear. First he buttered us up. Then he inspected our shower and found that yes, indeed, it needed to be fully replaced. Then he talked up his company and product while disparaging any competitors. Then he hit us with the hard sell. I dont appreciate such tactics. I dont care how good the product is. I wont give my business to someone who treats me that way.

Contacted Improveit via HomeAdvisor. Initial calls from schedulers were very professional and they requested my wife and I set aside 60 - 90 minutes for the sales representative. I was informed that the length of the visit was necessary in order to thoroughly go through different options for our bathroom. The sales rep arrived on time. I opened the door and said one second I’m just going to grab a mask. I put on a full N95 mask. The rep entered my house without wearing a mask and after saying a few things then put it on. I brought him upstairs and we quickly went through our existing small bathroom. We then went downstairs to the dining table and he started into his sales pitch. He went on and on about the company telling us the background, going through awards and how great they were. When I told him I was already aware they were reputable and asked if we could move on, he informed me that it was really important I knew all about them. My pregnant wife and I explained that my mother in law was minding our baby and out time was limited. He ignored this and kept going through his sales pitch. Even when I told him to move on to the next thing and show us the product options, he wouldn’t. He had to go through the company background. After 105 minutes we gave him a 15 minute warning that our baby was on her way home and we would have to feed her. He pretty much ignored us and kept going. We very quickly went through the limited product selection and he continuously threw in sales pitch type stories even though we were under pressure and had long gone over the 90 minute max time. When our daughter arrived he made no effort to speed up. My wife told him to please go into the other room as we were now feeding our toddler at the table and he was sitting next to her. I literally started packing his samples up and trying to put them into his sample sack. He finally started putting a quote together and then started giving me a load of bull about a one year price, a 30 day price with 5% off because they didn’t have to go to trade shows and a 15% discount if we order within 2 weeks. My wife said that won’t be happening and I reiterated. He completely ignored us. Finally after 150 minutes...yes two and half painful hours, we got him out the door. To quote my wife, “I have never been so in love with our 1938 bathroom as I am now”! It was a horrendous experience. I worked in sales for many years so I wanted to give the guy a chance but he was ignorant of our requests and didn’t seem to listen to us. My wife was fit to divorce me by the time he left and 24 hours later, I still haven’t recovered from this experience. I did not want to leave a negative review but after sleeping on it, I felt it was most certainly justified. To top it all, the quote was for over $26,000. This did not include doing the bathroom floor. The bathroom is so small you couldn’t swing a cat. There are no current leaks and everything works well at the moment. To summarise, an absolute nightmare of an experience!!!

Real professionals. The crew that did the work for us were careful when bringing materials in across our carpet. Never hurried the process and asked for our input concerning safety bar locations, etc. Once completed they corrected anything my wife or I noticed. They were patient and made certain we were pleased with the final results. Weve already referenced them to friends and family. And its nice to know with the lifetime guarantee which is transferable, any issue we might have in the future will be taken care of.

**UPDATE**After speaking with the owner today I am updating my rating. We were able to discuss and address all issues and get scheduled for repairs and updates. I have conservatively given 4 stars pending completion of work, but am confident that I will be able to change that to a 5 star rating very soon. Seth was a pleasure to speak with and cares about the reputation of his company and ensuring customer satisfaction.At our consultation we asked very specific questions and were given answers that led us to believe that the scope of work and things being replaced explained the very high price...because of this we decided to use them only to have the installer explain to us that none of that extra work or new plumbing/drywall would be needed. The installer was great and did a terrific job, but when I voiced my concerns to the company I was told that someone would call me back within a week...no one ever called. After receiving a call offering a discount on more work for being a valued customer, I again voiced my concerns and was told that this was being put on the owners desk and I would get a call back within 2 days. I called back a week later and there is no record of any of this! Again I was told that I would receive a call back about these concerns within a few days...that was a week ago! Do NOT do business with this company!

Quality of work and service was great! ImproveIt managed the project well considering there was a problem with the subcontractor ordering the wrong window. This was very quickly corrected.

We signed a contract to have a complete bathroom remodel done. After 9+ weeks, they came back and said they couldnt live up to their end of the contract and complete all of the agreed upon work. Since our bathroom has a rounded ceiling, this apparently was too much for them to handle. They had a tech come out and drill holes in the ceiling above my shower and the debris was left in my bathtub for us to clean up. Communication was terrible and it almost seemed like they were avoiding us due to the inability to live up to the signed contract. We were initially very impressed with their product so much that we signed a contract that day and called no other contractors for bids. The appointment was in my home so they knew exactly what they were dealing with right from the start. Our new contractor has no issues doing our work and is several thousand dollars less in cost. Caveat Emptor. Buyer beware.

We had Improveit replace our master bathroom tub and vanity top. They installed a walk in shower with glass doors, which look great. Vanity top was a nice addition. Once we finish the flooring it will all be a fantastic upgrade. Thanks to Seth for helping with some minor concerns.

We have had good experiences with them. from start to finish. Joe came out measured and discussed all our options, and was executed , even if we ran into problems they went over and above to make sure the job was done right. They have done two of our bathrooms, satisfied with both. looking forward to working with them on our third.

The initial process started in early spring when we decided to use Improveit for our shower renovation; and almost everything just got completed September 4. The actual install did mot take place until July. It took two days and mistakes were made; one of which they tried to cover it up with chalk. There were some other problems as well. All that had been presented by the rep is not what we experienced. Paying a lot of money and basically disappointed. Not 100% satisfied with the work. Probably the best person who came to do the work inspection and a repair was Zachary. Very knowledgeable. Had he worked on the install, it would have gone much better. Also, Samantha who I talked to on the phone several times was great.

I had a new shower installed. The men who came to install it were courteous and knowledgeable about their work. They were extremely neat and cleaned up after themselves. I love my new shower. I recommend them.

Over an hour of my life and my husbands wasted. I thought we were getting a serious bathroom remodeling company. I should have known better when the rep on the phone insisted that husband and wife need to be present during the consultation. The salesman showed up on time, looked at our bathroom for 2 minutes and asked us to sit down together at a table. He then proceeded to explain to us for over 20 minutes how great their company was and so on and on and on. He then showed us their great product samples. Basically thick plastic sheets with different patterns resembling real stones or tiles. Once we picked what was the least offensive looking plastic he gave us an estimate of $21,285 to remove our existing bathtub and install their plastic shower in its place. The estimate included removing shower stall, door and tile from a small separate shower and putting drywall in its place. When I asked to see item by item estimate the salesman changed the topic. When I said that we needed to think about it the salesman started coming up with all kinds of discounts. If we make a decision during our consultation we will get a discount, if we do this or that we will get a discount. It was ridiculous. This kind of remodel should be no more than $12k - $15k including mid price range real tile or natural stone.

All my issues were met By the technician that was sent out to complete the installation of my windows. I am very happy with improveIt And would recommend them to anyone! I also am interested in possibly having my front and rear doors replaced I am impressed with the way the windows look and operate it makes my doors seem antiquated.

Josh came on a Monday removed everything, added what boards and things he needed done before installing. Cleaned everything up before he left. Beware stay away from these people! I got on Home Advisor to look at getting my Bathroom remodeled .. someone called me from this company and informed me that someone would come out to take a look at my bathroom and give me a quote.. I didnt think much of it and agreed since I was looking to get 4 or so quotes. Now this is on me I didnt research the company before scheduling this but this is what happened.. guy came to my house last weekend and did his little presentation about his products told my wife and I we had Mold in our bathroom and we needed a new bathtub. Quoted me the outrageous price of $15,500 for a new tub/tile job, floors and wainscoting! Keep in mind my bathroom is 48 square feet (tiny ) my all in budget was 5-7 k for an entire gut and remodel. I did my research and many people with construction experience told me 5-7 k was a reasonable price for this job. Anyway I got him down a lot in price (after his bogus calls to his boss offering me more discounts) and stupidly agreed to sign the contract.( I know my fault my wife bought his sales pitch) The guy was using high pressure sales techniques and would not leave my house until I signed. I told him several times I wasnt looking to sign any contracts that day. After he left and I did my research I realized a lot of people had similar experiences, The BBB had 95% negative reviews and 90% of what the guy told me were lies I decided to cancel. You have three business days to cancel ( in the contract you sign) Luckily I looked on here and saw reviews or else I would be a poor sap who got duped and paid way to much for a bathtub. I know a lot of other negative things have been said about this company but I just want to pay it forward a bit and hope that I can save someone else from making the same mistake I almost made.

Got new windows and a new front door from ImproveIt. The sales rep for this company hung up on me after learning I wanted to keep my tub, which is in good condition and has importance to the home given it is nearly 100 years old. Very unprofessional.

The shower/bathtub turned out nice. We had a slight issue with the drain on the bottom of the tub leaking onto the ceiling of the bathroom on the lower level but Paul our project manager promptly had the install team back out that day to fix. They had to access the new tub drain through the ceiling of the lower bathroom and it was indeed fixed and the drywall was repaired well. Not a big issue, these things happen its how it is handled after the fact that matters and it was handled well in our case.Make no mistake, it is expensive to have this remodel done relative to what the materials costs and such, but i suppose we paid for the convenience of having it completed in two days and minimal disruption to daily routine. They do offer a warranty also.As for the warranty: We originally had a salesman from Improve It try to sell the job. If I recall the original quote was north of $14,000. My husband and I did not agree to this. Then it was reduced to $11K if we agreed right away, and we again declined in order to ponder this and other offers we had. Lo and behold, after a few days Improve Its sister company Homestar called with an incredible and rare offer and said they were sending out another person to sell the job as a commercial job and could do it for under $10k.. Turns out the same guy arrived saying he worked part time for this company also and he happened to be in the area even though he lived an hour away. Anyways, it was cheesey as all hell, and i wanted to call bullsh*t but we went along with it.A big concern we discovered, after the fact, was regarding the warranty.We directly asked the salesman what would be the differences regarding the job between the two companies. The salesman clearly said the ONLY difference between the project being done with Homestar or the sister company Improveit is the name of the company and the cheaper price, but it turns out this was not entirely true. We discovered when the installer said (and so did our final paperwork), when we went with Homestar and the cheaper price the materials are still life time warranty but the labor is only one year warranty. With ImproveIt it is lifetime on both labor and material and even transferable to new owners so we were told. We found this to be a somewhat deceptive sales tactic. Why not simply come out and state this when asked directly?At the end of the day, the job seems and looks to be done well and we are pleased. The install team seemed to care about doing a good job. The issues we had were promptly addressed and the kids love the new bath.Update: Seth the owner of the company saw this review and called to make things right. He was very apologetic for the misunderstanding on the warranty and offered to transfer our labor warranty to lifetime in addition to the lifetime materials warranty. Salesmen are salesmen and although we didnt appreciate the initial lack of clarity on the warranty issue we were very impressed when the owner called to do what was necessary to make sure we were satisfied. This was very much appreciated and it is clear he cares about the reputation of their company. Thank you.

The materials used is what sold this place to us, to of the line m as material on the other hand the price is hard to swallow, I felt like we were being being charged a big bathroom space when our space was 60” X 34”...overall I think we will be happy with the install and the guys putting the shower in were very professional hardworking personal that the company can be proud of...

Stay away from this company. Nothing but high pressure liars and con men. They show up late or not at all. They will change your appointment time without asking you if its ok.Their prices are outrageously high...funny thing but the more you say no the more discounts they offer.Nobody ever answers the phone. If you dont have someones business card with their cell forget talking to a person.The person who came out to measure was in a tshirt and looked like a slob. He acknowledged that the company does sub contract even though in the original sales pitch it was strongly stressed that Improveit does not sub contract work. Lies and B.S.My opinion is to stay away from this company.

Had our windows installed yesterday.. and today. Was told by the salesman it should only take a day. The installers didnt even show up until after 11. We were told 8... Im glad the salesman made it clear how easy the windows were to clean because they left them dirty and the stickers and adhesive still in them😞so I get to clean my brand new $11,000.00 windows!............UPDATE... A YEAR LATER...Only giving 1 star because its the lowest . If their sales people approach you in a store..RUN the other way. Had windows installed.. $11, 000.. with a service guarantee... its useless... the windows dont stay up.. they fall. Or slowing creep down through the day.. been trying to get someone out to fix them for MONTHS.... even talked to the president of the company.. Seth.. assured me it would get resolved.. the service department was scheduled to come out today and they called and cancelled.... DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.. ITS A JOKE

We had to have our walk in shower reinstalled because the first time it was not angeled correctly to allow the water to drain. The 2nd installer arrived ahead of time and worked until the job was finished. He bought us a new shower head because the original was damaged as he was taking it off the water pipe. He also made sure to clean up afterwards and left the bathroom and house in good shape. Because this same company installed the unit incorrectly the first time, they did not charge us for the redo, which pleased us greatly! All in all, I believe we had a good experience with Inprpveit and would recommend them to others.

Salesman was nice enough...... But the 60-90 min. visit we were told to expect, turned into over 3 hours and not by our choice. I tried on multiple occasions to cut through the guys shpeal and get some answers but he WAS DETERMINED to get through his STUFF come hell or high water ALL PAGE AFTER PAGE OF IT. After all was said and done we got our estimate. It was the first one we got. It was VERY high and then we got the Used Car salesman pressure pitch of....... BUT IF YOU DECIDE RIGHT NOW I CAN TAKE 20% OFF of the rediculously high estimate. I liked the product, I Liked the lifetime warranty presented but 30,000 dollars for 2 SMALL bathrooms for just showers, flooring , vanity and sink was just laughable. And only 24,000 if we decided RIGHT NOW !!!!!!!

I cancelled my order before the company could come do the measuring. Sales man was imatture and mouthy. Then they took my deposit and it has not yet been returned. 3 weeks later.
