The staff is great (Melanie, Luis, awesome) and gym super clean. Unfortunately, its disgusting outside. Not pf fault but they need to do something about it if they want to compete.

Your standard gym, easy self check-in, friendly staff, and locker rooms with lockers and showers available. There are some services available only to premium members, I believe its called black card members(?).Planet Fitness is a budget gym so please keep in mind that they will not have other amenities like a pool, sauna, or provide personal trainers or in-person classes. Its a great gym if you dont mind it being crowded, I mean its super affordable! My only complaint is that half of the toilet stalls are locked bc theyre out of service, not sure if thats actually the case but threes only a few stalls available :(

It has good machines, plenty of cardio and most everything is accessible throughout the day. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help or explain. They do a good job providing cleaning supplies and cleaning the locker rooms at regular intervals.

For the price it is a very good gym. As of now sometimes it gets a little packed but nothing too problematic you will still be able to get a workout in. Almost all of the machines work and there’s a lot of variety if you live in the area and are a casual gym goer it’s a great option.

What’s the point of business hours is they can’t even open on time? It’s just irresponsible business practice to have people waiting when doors should be open at a posted time.. now officially 45 mins passed the posted opening time. Some people have responsibilities to tend to at an early time and depend on those early openings.. with that said this is a real inconvenience considering I was depending on the 7am open and now my schedule is screwed up. Probably won’t get my workout now and I will be thinking of canceling my membership. Note worthy about 7 to 8 member waiting since 7am left angry having to wait.. she finally arrived at around 755am, almost an hour of the posted opening.the opener also had an attitude upon arrival even though she was the one inconveniencing the paying members that were patient enough to wait for her. If this continues I can guarantee you will lose member and get more bad google reviews.

Consider staying open later on the weekends.

I could really say that this place is one of the most cleanest places that I have seen in awhile. They have it all there. And I believe for a membership is only like 10 dollars. So if looking to start out this is the place to go

I count ~58 treadmills and 4 stair climbers, 2 of which are broken. Overall nice place but 58 and 2 cannot be the right ratio.They do have red light therapy machines which I appreciate and none of the locations in Orlando (where I live) have, at least that Ive seen.

This location has been very professional and generous throughout the pandemics quarantine and after. I have been a black card member and the gyms shutdown around Sep/Oct 2020. I found out the gyms had opened in Mid May 2021 about a month later and went to resume my charges. There was some error on my account or my card because of how the stop payments were being treated Im not sure exactly what it was. So fast forward to last week in July I want to get this fixed so I come to pay willing to accept w/e charges I owe even if I didnt use or have access to the gym for the past several months. I was relieved and overjoyed when who appeared to be the morning supervisor credited my months cancel/reactivated my account and wiped a $102 payment. She started me as a new member with annual fees in September and paid $1 instead that day. This is a company and its staff taking care of their customers. I was completely thrown on and surprised and I am sure I am not the only one with a messed up situation due to the pandemic quarantines. Thank you Planet Fitness Chula Vista

I’m in San Diego on a family vacation. Found this location and loved it. I had a great workout with my daughter. Large, clean facility with a friendly staff.

They are very clean everything is new,super nice lounge for black card holders.Highly recommend everybody minds their own buisness

Just visiting town and this is the closest location but I’d say it’s definitely one of the better planet fitnesses I’ve been to. Clean, not too packed, and plenty of machines.

Incredible how these workers are always cleaning! If they are not high dusting the machines they are taking a Maigic eraser to the bottoms of the trash cans... I never cleaned for my chiefs back when, as hard as they do at this club...

Has all the perfect machines to get a good workout in. Not overly packed for the most part, lots of sanitary sprays to clean machines before and after use. Staff is friendly.

Friendly staff and respectful members

Great pla e to excercise and like their commercial free of judgement. They also keep the place clean and people keep their mask as they work out and do keep distance.

Ive been working out at this gym and no complains so far i have met my goals here, great place to accomplish your work outs.

For the price per month it beats all other gyms, I pay 10 bucks and I get a good solid workout everytime, showers work good, cant beat it.

Ive been to multiple planet fitness locations recently and this one is the only one that actually requires and enforces masks, which is great!! I definitely feel safe working out here and appreciate all of their extra safety precautions.

I read a review with a complaint about the gym not providing outdoor activities. Have you been to this location and seen the parking lot? The staff is cordial and helpful. They sanitize and are constantly taking a headcount. Issues billing call. I did and was told it was our annual fee.

This place has to be the worst planet fitness they do not upkeep with cleanliness whoever owns this franchise should come and see this place nothing like the one in Eastlake always clean staff always cleaning but Chula Vista on Broadway no way always dirty mold needs serious cleaning

3 stars for always being clean, I never worked for PF but I am sure they spend a lot of time training staff how to clean and management clearly has a clear grasp on it- thankfully because of the pandemic and it being flu season... they need to address the customer service and POS system... maybe there turn over Is high bc I always see new faces and there seems to be not much training on handling issues with customer accounts bc the desk gets super busy and evey transaction I have at that desk is no less than 5 minutes ... if you want to check in for one of your black cars benefits the associates don’t greet you and it’s just a socially awkward experience if they even notice you standing there... and if you need to buy something plan on spending at least 5 mins to check out... been a member for over 15 years and just something I noticed at each PF across the country

Everything is good and clean...

Get ready to wait long lines to get in. Because all the equipment its indoors. (All the other gyms offer some outdoor activity) over charges without notice or emails or text. Poor customer service. I was paying the basic membership it was 10 dlls. and now without notice they are charging me 40 dlls for the premium membership.And take a ride on there street porta potty. On a 90 degree weather.

Canceled through mail during the pandemic, still got charged when they reopened without any heads up. Went in person to cancel and was told a general manager was going to call me and refund me my money they stole from me. Never happened.

I come to this gym every other day early in the morning and there is either no one at the front desk or theres the same bad customer service girl waiting to only scan your card but not really say anything. I have also noticed that people seem to already know the routine if arriving and no one is at the front desk they just scan the card themselves and let themselves in. All of the staff that I have came across early in the morning (4/5am) never say hi and always just look away. This gym is the closest to my home but I still choose to drive a little further to another gym that has a lot better customer service.

I wants to say Thank you today I dropped my Earbuds while I was on stairs master and it fall down inside of machine and manager came and did his best to take it off and I am so thankful to see those kind of employee which they even do higher than their responsibility to help out us.

It used to be a good place but the front desk guy at night doesn’t care who goes in there and therefore alot of homeless people go in and sleep in the locker room and poop in the shower, and it seems like nobody cleans the locker room or the bathroom area because the same toilet paper will be on the ground for days. Seriously considering switching to 24 hour fitness because of these issues.

Club is closed but they continue to charge the monthly fee. Tried to contact them but conveniently they dont answer the phone.

Usually in the mornings, the restrooms are a bit messy. Lucia the trainer is great, she makes you feel very comfortable. There is a person at the counter that is not that nice, but everyone else is.

The price is good for the gym. But the up keep is terrible so many people working but the same gym equipment stays out of order .... and the restrooms .... terrible toilet paper holder broken never has toilet paper handi cap bathroom chair uneven last time someone told me they slipped on it. Door locks dont work.... need to get people to fix it. Not the only one that complains about this stuff...

Its a clean facility. People are friendly and I dont have problems.I gave it 4 stars because they go through personal trainers so fast everytime I want to go in for a session their either looking for someone or the person they hired just left.Other than that everything is very nice. The staff are friendly, the machines are clean and the set up of the gym is aesthetically pleasing.

Love Planet Fitness! Signed up my son for the teens summer program. I like the atmosphere where people who are new to the gym dont feel intimidated.

This is my filler gym... When I dont go to LA Fitness with my sister (she can bring in guests), I come here so that I dont miss my workouts... Theres usually plenty of machines, albeit, its usually very packed in the afternoon through late night. Probably due to the nice low membership costs... They have enough machines and free weights to get a workout in, but its not designed for mega-uber bodybuilders.They just dont have enough weights for heavy lifters.

I love the employees. Especially the trainer. She’s super sweet and educated

Used to be a good place to workout( 2yr ago) as today its really beat up place, where the bathrooms always missing toilet paper, duty, or broken, on top of it your Privacy while changing clothes to works out on the man lockers,A maintenanceGIRL is allowed to go in and out without notice. Do they allowed Man to go into Women’s Locker and see them naked we no notice, I think they violating privacy.

Overall, staff are friendly, facility are typically kept clean. Con- they don’t provide hand sanitizer or toilet seat covers. They run out of paper towels at times. Toilet stalls tends to stay dirty but they do clean I believe every hour.

Great place. Good price. Bathrooms need more keepup for sure, but friendly staff. Also cleaning machines,closing them down during busy periods not always a plus.

Great place to get your cardio, abs and light lift on. No heavy lifting there and mostly regular gym goers. No judgment type motto gym. For $10 a month, its a GO!

I like the gym and staff, but the parking is filled with 24 hour loiterers and folks living in their RV, Vans, trucks and cars. Theres junk, Needles, puke and cigarettes from these same people. Many dont even work it, just walk in use the restroom/bathroom...The parking lot is very dark ay night and at 1,2,3 or early morning theres always some drunk or high screaming or arguing going on.Take some responsibility for your 24 hour tenants.

Coming here for some time. The front desk Lil bratthat is in early in the morning has The WORST attitude, lack of customer Service and Always with that I Hate My Life Face.Nobody feels Welcome. I understand its your Job but Dont take it So SERIOUSLY. You are Not the Owner and we the customers Pay Your bills.Also repeating my cellphone Number EVERYDAY to a bunch of strangers is annoying. has to be a better way of checking in.No Soap and Toilet paper in the bathroom.

Everyday I come to the gym its always a pleasant experience. I usually come at night and the night staff goes above and beyond what they get paid to. They always deliver the best Planet Fitness experience possible. Art (Arturo) is always giving me nutritional advice or educating me in macros. Lets not forget Juan, everytime Im here I feel as if he is my number 1 supporter, spotting me when I need to go heavy or teaching me proper form. I apperaticate them for always pressuring me to push myself. By far the best gym experience I have ever had.

Im overall fine with this gym, ya get what ya pay for, but for nearly over the past MONTH now the water fountain has been BROKEN....thats a pretty big one at a gym....it remains broken every day i arrive...including a growing list of machines that have Out of Order signs that never get fixed! A leaky ceiling with a bucket as solution....a tv in Hip&Ab room stuck on one image....the fans are never on anymore, and i hear from my boyfriend the mens bathroom has issues always....please whoever owns this gym TAKE CARE OF IT will ya?!!?!?!?

Cheep. But that is exactly what you get out of it.... Its dirty!!!! And I mean nasty, the restrooms are never clean with hair,old raizor and used pads in the shower stalls for days. I have brought it up to management and all he said yes they can get pretty dirty I was like WHAT??!!! Maybe you should have someone clean them more often. But nothing changed.

The update on opening is 2ND week of March. So excited for this location opening close to me. I love planet fitness its so nice knowing I can work out and not be judged. At least those are the rules.

You can get a decent workout here. Only 3 stars because broken machines stay broken for weeks at a time and the location is kind of sketchy. Being open at all hours is a big plus, however.

My first experience as a guest with my wife. Very clean. Patrons are upbeat. Staff is courteous. I may consider my own black card membership.

Overall it is a good experience. Love the workout machines, what the gym stands for and the massage beds. Very cool. My biggest disappointment was when I signed up I specifically inquired about having classes and I was told there were and even given the calendar. But I showed up for a class the next day and then was told there were no classes because there was no teacher! (I guess one quit.) That definitely should have been communicated when I signed up. I felt lied to.

Very clean gym. Doesnt get too crowded and they have a lot of amenities if youre a black card member. That includes free classes, hydromassage, a total body vibration machine, and even half off beverages. You do not need to bring a lock since their lockers have a built in lock in them so thats definitely convenient. Bathrooms and showers are clean as well. They have plenty of machines for both cardio and weightlifting so its highly unlikely youll be left waiting for your turn even if its a busy hour. I recommend this gym to anyone.

I was scared for all the neg reviews that are on here... but I honestly needed to see it for myself and they were wrong!!! Gym is been taken care of 24/7... equipment is working, no staff has been rude to me at all, and patrons mind their own business... the only issue I have is that at night there are only female staff cleaning the bathrooms and gym, feels a little uncomfortable getting undress and dress around a female staff member.. overall is a pretty good gym

I stopped in about 4:00am to get my gym on and ready for a new day in a new state; just arrived in San Diego yesterday. Only one girl on duty and some random guy at the counter talking up her and everyone that comes in. Step into the locker room and bathroom and showers are a mess. TP everywhere and actual trash in the showers. I asked the girl up from if she was the only one on duty and she said yes, no overnight cleaner. I asked her what I could do to work out a The thigh area around my knees more, she didn’t know. I walked back to locker room and grabbed my things. On my way out she and lame guy were talking it back up again. I get it, you have to watch out for the counter. But tell that bum to leave and go clean something! It’s your job. And I am paying for it.

I had to update my rating of this gym. While the gym is big and spacious, the workout ratio for some of the equipment is ridiculous. How do you have like 30 treadmills but only four Stairmaster machines? Also, when equipment is broken, it takes WEEKS for it to be fixed. The gym NEEDS better management. The turnover rate here is just sad.

I am a black card member here. As far as the facility is concerned... I enjoy working out and exercising here. But on the other hand, this location has a lot of problems with homeless. Its unfortunate to walk in the bathroom or attempt to take a shower while being bombarded buy homeless people sleeping on the floor in the locker room area or washing their clothes in the sink /shower. This problem needs to be fixed for good.

The staff is unprofessional, they make you wait a long time to change your account membership or to cancel. If you are lady, avoid working out during the day. Guys will hit on you, including the personal trainer. If you have a membership/access issue, simple problems cannot be handled at the counter. You will wait longer. If you come at 6:00 pm, good luck. You will wait much longer. Staff is not empowered and there no systems in place to take care of customers that have been coming for a long time. Fresh meat takes priority. Two memberships were lost today, they can keep their unprofessionalism and inexperience. Zero stars on this can of diarreah. BBB claim will follow, they shouldnt exist.

Almost every visit the mens bathrooms are filthy, paper everywhere, and no toilet seat covers, besides that, the gym is not bad..

I am from out of state and this was the closest to our area (they seem to be very spread out in Cali.) So upon entering I was not impressed with the location, the friendliness of the staff or the conditions of the bathroom. I use mostly only the showers...the one I happened to get into had a used panty liner and the biggest clump of hair in the corner...I was afraid on the conditions of the other showers there.I was not impressed because the gym itself (it looks like a new location) looked good until you saw the garbage on the ground outside and the stuff listed above.I think all Cali locations need improvement!

Most employees exude great customer service skills, and are very polite. Some workers have biases when it come to customer service and friendliness. Some employees profile certain individuals in the locker rooms. If you do not speak Spanish, some gym members will stop speaking English, and start speaking Spanish, when certain individuals are around. Some gym members go as far as retrieving their purses from their lockers, if non Mexican people are in the locker room. The bathrooms are not kept clean alot of times during the day. Here are photos from yesterday. One gym member saw the bathrooms, said, How unsanitary, and decided not to use them. Just as I was writing this review, it happened again, three Mexican patrons, entered the locker room speaking English, saw me, started speaking Spanish, and left the locker room without locking up their purses. Personally, I feel that people who exude biases, get some form of karma somewhere in life, that will match their behavior. Although Planet Fitness quickly took care of their bathroom situation, its Sunday September 30TH. I received sub par service from the two workers currently working. Its about 7:45 PM. The guy apologized. The girl Vivianna was argumentative with me when my massage lounger only went for five minutes. She said her screen says its still going. I told her but its not, would you like to go over to the chair. She said that didnt matter, I cant use anything until her screen says my time has stopped. I left the desk, when I returned she asked if I needed help. I told her not from her because she didnt help me the first time. So my lounge chair was not so relaxing. Those two are the worst workers Ive experienced here so far. Update, December 2018, Some rude biased staff members, good morning sir welcome, mean while, I did not get a have a nice day, more than once. Some showers are flooding. Some patrons are nasty, and leave hair in the shower, trash on counters, and residue from various items theyve brought in. Not talking about the homeless clients, this is being done by so called pretty women. Ending my membership in 2019.

DO NOT GO HERE they will double charge your account and the manager Phillip is never to be found I only was a member 1 month they double charged my account and they make it so hard to get answers the company ABC financing is no help .. keep an eye on your account if you decide to join.. buyer beware

]plenty parking. Air condition , sanitation spray and towels. Clean lots exercise equipment. Perfect for cardio, and loading weight. But not equipt for strength training. Drinks are half price which is awesome. Love this place but not enough heavy weights. Perfect for starters.

Its clean and the only downside is that there is no free bar only assisted machines. Still worth coming to these gyms everything else is great. Membership is probably the lowest of all gyms at only 10$ a month.
