This is one of the best gyms Ive ever been a member of up to date. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facility is clean and well stocked with supplies, like toilet seat covers.I have noticed some small things since they reopened after the pandemic closures, but nothing major. If youre looking for a new gym experience, Id recommend popping in for a tour.

My whole life I’ve felt intimidated by the gym to the point where I would pay for a membership and not go. I don’t feel that way with Chuze. It’s very welcoming and friendly and it’s someplace I genuinely look forward to going to every day. I highly recommend their Team Training program, it’s like having a personal trainer without the $100/hr cost of one.

I went in and told the guy at the entrance I need to use the bathroom first and then ill come back to sign in. While I was using the bathroom my anxiety attack kicked in and luckily my friend heard me and went under the stall to get to me and helped. An employee of theirs came in and instead of helping me he said hes calling the authorities my friend told him Im having an anxiety attack/panic and instead of the employee helping he told me to take my anxiety attack outside instead of helping me. This is the worst experience any customer could have. Also when I was leaving because I wasnt going to have any of that inhuman disrespect, I thought on coming back and making a complaint. The manger kept interrupting me mid sentence when I tried explaining the situation. This is the worst experience Ive ever had as a customer at any establishment. Also the main reason I came in today was to renew my membership now I dont even want to come back no more thanks guys.

Ive never seen such a young staff be so professional.The personnel working here truly care about customer service. They maintain a clean gym with constant cleaning. They always greet you when you come in and when youre leaving.What impresses me the most is how much moral courage they have to walk up to ANY member and tell them respectfully to wear their face mask properly.Good job guys!

Huge variety of machines to use. Staff was very kind and had great attitudes. At the moment both indoor/outdoor equipment available. MOST of the guests follow the gym rule ;to clean the equipment after usage.

Super clean but tends to get crowded. I love that it has and outside area to workout.

The chula vista location is the best at least I think so .They have a movie theater inside the gym so you can workout while watching a movie on the big screen.the sauna and steam rooms are great also.

Been coming to this gym since the day it opened ever since Covid hit this gym has been in a decline still having to pay premium memberships and can’t even use everything that the gym once offered. The biggest issue would have to be the transition outdoors working out in the summer was cool but in the winter majority of the people can’t get a good workout in not to mention the quality of the machines are terrible from being put outside overnight the constant moving in and out of the facility is inconvenient to a lot of people constantly shutting down the treadmills it’s hard to stay at a location when you have so many inconveniences there’s plenty of other gyms even in Chula Vista that offer indoor access Chuze Fitness definitely dropped the ball with moving outside the only time they go indoor is when it is extremely poor weather outside due to rain other than that All I can say is have fun working out in a cold windy environment canceling my membership immediately

Love this chuze. Its large and spacious. Plenty of hydro massages chairs & tables. The only Chuze in SD with a steamroom. Which is also why it lost stars. For sanitary reasons the steamroom must be kept at consistent hot temp. Often the little steamroom is empty of steam and has an odor. Slip mats have missing since reopening aswell.Infrared saunas are barely hot & pointless imo, the classic dry rock heat wooden saunas are the way to go.3 star gym is not far from being 5 stars! Turn up the steam thermostat. Keep it hot, sanitary and safe to use.

This gym is HORRIBLE! with COVID I understand the restrictions and not many gyms are open, but didn’t expect it to be this bad, Chuze is always always crowded, Chuze machines aren’t the best and Chuze employees are very rude. Do not recommend coming here, save your money!

It was very hot inside and the music, extremely loud it was so districting. I had to leave early.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and great equipment. Before the pandemic I would take my kids to child care where they had ample space and a variety of activities. It was great being able to workout knowing my kids were in a safe environment they really enjoyed.

Joined this gym on Black Friday. When I joined it was inside and the guy I signed up with didn’t mention they would be moving the gym equipment outdoors. The very next day I got there and everything was outside. I found the lack of common courtesy and transparency annoying but during covid in SD there is little choice for gyms right now. Also this location is super crowded at all times! I’ve tried everytime from 6am-9pm and it’s always the same. I never get a decent workout in here because it’s so crowded and I can never get on everything I want to. Gym lames always on their phones hogging up stuff for half an hour. I can’t wait for LA fitness to open back up. I’ll be cancelling here as soon as that happens.

The only gym open in Chula Vista and other areas. Very nice and Clean. Machines are outdoors and is open every day. The hydro massage is available too and staff is friendly. Good parking.

It’s a nice place, but the people that workout here are not courteous of one another. People dumbbells everywhere. A good percentage of people stay on the same machine/ workout bench for long periods of time, with a good portion of them just sitting there. Oblivious to the fact that others want to use the equipment.

I used to come to this gym years ago and now that I have quarantine-bod from working from home, its time to get back into my fitness routine. I called and spoke w/ Scott about some questions and concerns with how theyre operating during Covid-19 and Scott was SO amazingly nice & helpful with my 500 questions! Ill update this after my visit, but by the phone call alone, Im giving the staff here an A+!

After a year at the Gym it is now over populated and the sauna is no longer a sauna it’s more like a warm room to waste time!!!You let them know about some of the issues with the gym but don’t get resolved. Constantly problems with the sauna and steam room pretty often! CONSIDERING IN MAKING THAT SWITCH OF GYMS.Here’s an example a picture taken every week....

I been going to this gym for more than 7 yrs. A couple of days ago I had to terminate my membership due to overcrowd. Since COVID started this gym and staff have been declining and providing rude services. I understand due to COVID only centain equipment was taken out but they shoudnt be allowing new memberships since the capacity is limited or provide a better system like booking an appoinment. You literally have people standing next to you waiting for you to be done. I brought this concern up to an employee and specificly made them aware of an individual not moving from my space after I politely made them aware I had just started the machine work out, and if they can be back in around 10 min.Employee rudely gave me a response back. Main reason why I cancel my membership.

I am almost at the end of my 7 day pass (which includes kids club) and I’ve gone everyday so far. I love the friendly atmosphere, they always greet you. The kids club, is awesome! My 9 month old is a handful and I can tell they really do care for the kids that they watch, They are an awesome staff.All the equipment is good, the outdoor area is really nice and the toy box.I am definitely going to buy a membership!

Good, but not a unique experience going to this gym, it does have a lot of machines, cardio mainly, but what I always hate about a gym is the people when theyre always using upper body machines, never had the opportunity to use them, what I found interesting was the huge crowd since I started my membership because I thought with the covid going on the gym wasnt allowed to have that amount of people together, anyway, what I also noticed was when people didnt care about cleaning after using the machines. SO, it is just another simple gym as any other, THATs it.

Super awesome experience here! Thought I’d get a membership before I left for bootcamp this month and came in to cancel my membership a day before I left, and Saul was awesome! Answered any questions, made small talk, made the visit very pleasant! Overall, I will be looking for a Chuze fitness where ever I get stationed— hoping it operates like this one! Everyone here is very polite and respectful and super friendly!

Great operating times, affordable, showers, lockers, and many classes. They also have a hydro massage which I haven’t tried yet. I haven’t had any issues what so ever. It’s always clean and plenty of tv screens.

Would be 5 stars if they had more Smith machines and cable posts. They only have one Smith machine now since they replace two out of the only 3 with barbell racks which is a plus but I wish they would have left the smiths because those help with other kinds of workouts and provide “safety” when you don’t come with anyone to the gym, people hog both those and the cables for a long time. I also notice the cable posts are close together so if you’re doing cable kick backs your most likely getting in someone else space, either more posts or move them a litter further away, thanks

My favorite gym ever! The staff are always so welcoming and honest. The really care about the facility and try their hardest to keep it clean. I am always seeing a worker around wiping down empty equipment and cleaning the restrooms. Its so big, even on the busy times I can still get a good workout in!

One star for facility and concept. But with cheap prices and good equipment come egos, and people who can’t wipe down there equipment let alone re-rack there weights... select treadmills feature a built in “off road” feature aka not being level and good for twisting your ankle while you are mid sprint... warm water bubblers are always refreshing and one of 4 cleaning stations are hard to find and probably remain empty your entire visit like it was for me... this was insight of a Sunday afternoon trial, ill stay at 24 hour fitness.

Staff always greets you with a smile. The equipment is clean.Staff is always walking around cleaning and ready to answer any questions. Compared to other gyms that Ive been a member of,this is without a doubt the best...Air conditioning is a plus.By far the best bang for your buck.

Please adjust hours or show closed on your website. due to the virus going around. I understand its no ones fault but seen alot of cars drive by this morning including myself to find the location in chula vista is currently closed not reflecting the website. this place is great other than that.

Clean, friendly atmosphere with sauna, steam room, hydro massage, tanning and nice variety of group exercise classes. The only thing missing is at least one early bird group exercise class daily like yoga, zumba and body combat at 5am, any instructor, theyre all wonderful;)

Love this place! There is always at least 2 people cleaning and maintaining the equipment. The movie theater is a huge bonus and its only $10 month. Cant beat it.

I really enjoy coming to this gym. Ive been attending here on and off for the past 3 years, and I have to say its been a consistent positive experience.The staff are very friendly and always there to help. They greet you when you enter and leave the gym, and there is a variety of services that seem a notch above your conventional gym establishments.Best of all - this seems to be the most centered environment Ive seen, when it comes to gym guests being there to work out vs. show off. It seems like most of the people are really there to try, and less intrested in socializing... which is great if youre actually theyre trying to get a workout in, and dont have time to waste waiting for people who are talking instead of actually using the machines.

I absolutely love this gym and location! The staff is always helpful (if you treat them with basic levels of respect and intelligence) polite and super friendly! The amenities are beyond what I need and always clean! It feels like family and you can tell how amazing they are by how busy they get! I say plus points for being busy that means you’re doing something great! Word of advice for current and future customers: read the membership rules and terms of agreement, stay informed and listen to what the staff has to say and don’t complain about things beyond control of the staff, not fair and not cool! Stay great Chuze Family!!!!

Its a bit overpopulated but its always clean and staff are happy to help whenever me or my friends have a question or need any sort of assistance.I cant really talk about the special services they provide for higher tear memberships but the basic membership offers all the basics and necessities for your gym experience, its definitely better than most gyms Ive been to.

Ive been coming to this gym since it opened. Staff are always friendly, facility always clean, and great value for your membership. Im going to miss this gym since I am moving out of state but I will definitely compare my new gym to Chuze Chula Vista Standards!

The place is pretty cool, clean, and they play good music. BUT the steam room really smelled like feet and mold... i don’t think they do a good job regulating the no shoe policy that can be a reason why.. other than that awesome gym! I want this to be my regular gym location but something has to be done about that smell.

Couldnt have chosen a better gym. I really wanted to start working out and when I saw this place open I knew it was the perfect gym for me. The staff are so amazing and welcoming. I have never seen a staff member being disrespectful the people here are just so friendly. I love the environment it has and how many options they have available for you to accomplish your goals. Really decent and affordable gym, staff are absolutely awesome, equipment is really good, and its always clean and well maintained.. my only gripe is the free weights stop at 75lb..but thats not enough to lose a star. :P

Love this gym. Great atmosphere. Love the options; way better than Planet Fitness. The only bad thing is the sauna/ steam areas; members dont follow the rules of the time limit. Also on the circuit right training area (where its timed) members DO NOT KNOW HOW TO READ. Even when the instructions say, FOR CIRCUIT TRAINING ONLY, members come in use a random machine, stay on it for like 5 minutes and then leave. Its really frustrating.

Will like more free weights and benches. Great place for machines work out.

I moved from 24 hour fitness to this gym and it was one of the most important decisions I’ve made. Aside from the gym creeps, I genuinely enjoy my workouts here. The equipment is all new and the staff is amazing.

This gym is by far the best gym Ive been to in years. I was going to 24 hour fitness on and off for 3 years and once this opened I went to try it with my sister being her guest and I was in love. Very polite staff and very helpful. Always available when you need them. Very clean as well from the equipment to the bathrooms and showers, also they have a Cinema room for those who want to watch a movie while running. Its the best gym for the price you pay, nothing can beat it. Would highly recommend. Just gets packed around 4pm and on try to avoid those times. Overall Chuze will always be my go to gym !! :)

I got the Platinum deal which is $22 per month which is very good and all of a sudden they started overcharging my credit card just noticed it and its been going for the past year and a half

The prices for Chuze are AMAZING. Theyre 100% clean, the staff is very helpful. They have Hydro Massage Chairs/Beds, a movie theater to workout in, 3 saunas, and 1 steam room. Working out here is a really positive environment. They have a daycare for your kids too.

Good parking friendly host every day every time! Steam and dry sauna awesome. Good outside area when you want to mix things up and break away from the weight room. Mssg chairs incredible!!

Great gym, just recently opened lots of great equipment, theres an outdoor workout area, sauna, steam room, massage, and they even got a theater workout area where they play movies on a giant screen in the dark while you workout. This place can get pretty crowded during the hours of 4pm to 8pm but thats not a big deal because the location is so big theres always available equipment and it is also a 24hr location.

Great gym. Dont have a bench press or squat rack though. Also maybe should add a dead lift area. Use the app. Track your work outs and get free gym membership for a year. I have not paid in 3 months. Only using my points.

They keep there equipment clean, and the trainers and staff are very nice aswell.

Free 7 day pass, Adrial was very sweet helping me get started. Very impressed with all new bright clean gym. Spacious locker rooms, paper towels & disinfecting spray readily available to clean machines after use. All shapes, sizes, equal amount of young & old people, also good mix of heavy set & thin people. I felt extremely comfortable , especially enjoyed the air-conditioning, music, & watching the big flat screen tvs. Great place :)

Very forced kindness here!! Condensing attitude she was very rude and short .after 15 hour shift just wanted to distress. A check in for a newbie was a challenge. Nice gym though.

Unfortunately there is always something broken., steam room down for weeks, often hydro beds for days & now the SAUNAS and takes them forever to fix or solve issues., If you call the young staff will give the biggest explanation that most of the times dont make any sense.. CHUZE! get with the progam. My payments like others comes to your business with out any excuses or delays..☹😰
