Very friendly, professional. But took a long time. Building was very clean, very aware of Covid!! Appreciated that. I felt like they were concerned for my safety. I did feel like the one receptionist tried a little too hard too force me too purchase bone graphs, when I could not afford them or need them. But my biggest draw back was they were cadaver bones. Which I figured, but did not want. Overall great place, I would return.

I would give them 0 star if I could. I arrived on time for my appointment. After waiting 1.5 hours in their office, I found their staff and asked how much longer. I was told that I needed to wait for another 45 minutes to be seen.This is the 3rd time this had happened, not just to me but also to my husband. We have finally run out of our patience and decided to leave them for good.

Im doing another review because these people keep screwing me over. Ive had an abscess for 4 months now. They scheduled me for a root canal that they dont even perform so I missed work for no reason. I went in a month later and they schedule me for a root canal in Sacramento and upon getting there I find out they dont do root canals there either. Keep in mind Ive taken time off to drive all the way to Sacramento. Im surprised this company has not been sued. Ive done some research and it appears they have had several lawsuits against them and paid out many patients who have been maimed. Not only that but they paid out 3 million for a suit in which they charged wrongful late fees to clients . This company needs to be put out of business

I’ve had such a great experience coming here to be treated. Paulene was so very helpful and put me in the earliest appointment available due to my tooth discomfort. I was very nervous before going in but after meeting the team, they made me feel more than just a patient. The doctor who extracted my teeth was very friendly and walked me through the whole procedure and made me feel comfortable. Overall my whole experience was a 10/10 and I recommend going to the Mangrove location. Customer service was on point. I will definitely be coming back.

I’ve been coming to this office for 5 months now for various work, James, Dr. A and the staff are always professional. They make sure I’m comfortable and go over all my options.

It say theyre open for In-person visits online. Google says theyre open but I came to my appointment for a consultation and theyre completely closed.Came to fine out the agent who scheduled me made a mistake by scheduling my appointment during lunch hours. So it wasnt the office fault.

Nothing but problems on top of very expensive service. Have shown up to appointments to find their office closed and $1,300 tacked on to my bill once I thought I had to pay it off and their customer service still hasnt told me why. Extremely long wait times, and the list goes on. Never go here.

Went in as new patient for an exam. A little slow, but otherwise fine experience. Went back to get a filling and cleaning. The doctor was great. She is calm and efficient and conscientious. The follow-up polishing was performed by James, who was in my opinion very helpful, friendly, and personable. I needed advice on a separate issue in my molar that will need repairs that I can’t afford. He really helped me out. So much so, that I was compelled to write this review:)

The wait times are quite long but I brought a book along to past the time. On my first appointment 2/3/21 I waited an hour to go back and have X-rays done. The X-ray tech James was very professional and made me feel like I was important. The dentist was over booked and after 2 hours I was advised to reschedule. I went back 2 days later 2/5/21 and waited 90 minutes for an exam. The dentist was very thorough. Then at the front desk Pauline, explained what treatment I needed and the estimated patient cost. She was very patient while advising me of my options of paying and helped by making a call on my behalf. It’s refreshing to receive great customer service during these times.

The dentist and his assistants were very nice and worked around my anxiety to make sure I was ok throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend them.

Update: Called Western Dental later in the day to ask if I would be charged for this appointment and the associate at Western Dental hung up on me.Terrible. The first time I visited they convinced me to “fix” an old filling. Not sure what they did but it caused a lot of pain. I kept coming back to get it worked on. Now the tooth is better but the service is awful. I waited 2 hours in the dentist chair before telling me they’d need to reschedule my routine cleaning. This appointment had already been rescheduled once due to their poor scheduling. Went today and was told the wait to be seen was over 1 hour!Don’t go. They will ruin your teeth and waste your time!!!

Nobody likes to see the dentist. But when you need to and most everyone needs to, the mangrove office is literally the best one. Dr Aleta the dental surgeon who fixed my chipped teeth couldnt be more qualified. With a gentle voice, she puts you at ease from all the fear jitters of seeing the dentist. Ask for Dr Aleta and dental hygienist, James if you want sharp, caring professionals who will take care of you

I am giving this office a 5 star review because of James and the front staff, especially Ubon. When they are understaffed, James keeps things moving and always keeps a positive attitude. He always has me smiling in no time. This company is lucky to have such compassionate and hard working employees. They do their ultimate best with what they have.*Do expect long wait times, bring a book or a good game on your phone :)

First visit for exam and X-rays. They were extremely busy with surgeries and more detailed procedures so I waited 2 hours to be seen. The wait was expected—I kept myself entertained with solitaire on my phone. COVID protocol was enforced. The exam was quick and efficient. Getting the estimate involved another wait, but I was in and out in under 3 hours. I also won a lot of solitaire.

I can honestly say I absolutely love going to dentist....Not only are they very knowledgeable but make me feel very comfortable when Im there. For some reason I get excited when I go and cant wait to have to come back.Thank you Western dental staff you know who u are....

Very nice staff and though not cheap I blame myself by being so abusive to my teeth. Doc Was great, xray, and receptionist was nice and gave me the information I needed and help me set up a pay plan I can afford. Those who rank this place poorly havent been to a bad one before. Dr. Aleta!!!! Her work is sooooo amazing, she goes out of her way to make you comfortable. She’s super gentle and takes her sweet time perfecting your teeth! I had a big cavity to my gum line and she fixed it so flawlessly. I hope she stays here for the long run! Definitely recommend her!

My experience with this office started good but ended terrible. Got a cleaning and scheduled a couple of fillings. I prepaid for three fillings, when I showed up to my appointment they only scheduled enough time to do two. Not able to reschedule the last filling while I was staying in Chico, I expected a partial refund. Later I got a bill stating I owe more money. The office is unable to contact their corporate office themselves, I called their finance and customer service departments and was told there is no balance on my account. My insurance stated they paid the full amount that was requested. The local office refused to listen to what corporate said and insisted I still owe. They have not returned my emails and when calling the billing department the recording repeatedly states they are not open during business hours.

Paulene is very helpful and professional. She showed me all of my options before a procedure the staff is caring and great.

James is so personable and puts my nerves at ease. The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. I will go back.

My dad came in as a new patient needing x-rays and his dentures evaluated. We received the absolute best treatment from James and the rest of the staff. He is elderly and in a wheelchair with oxygen. James was incredibly patient and helpful as was the Dr. The office manager even came back to make sure we understood the next steps of the process, insurance, etc. we had a great experience and I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr Nguyen is so child friendly dentist my son loves him ! He’s good for little kiddos. My husband is always busy at work and he had been canceling his past appointment they are very easy with it give him a couple chances to reschedule. Highly recommended!

I just took my son for an immediate appointment that was canceled last week due to someone who deals with the first time patientpaper work. Went on today and gave them my insurance card and was informed they dont take it even though there website said they do. I then offered to pay cash and was informed that they couldnt do that because I have insurance (that they wont take.) Who denies a child medical treatment, apparently western dental. Now we will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Before I went into this Access Dental location I always try to do my due diligence by doing a Google review check on the companys I fraternize with. Access Dental only had a 3.6. Review rate. To me , that score is mediocre. Not great but not bad either. So I continued as a walk-in customer. I had a Abscess and I was in a little pain and to top it off, very bad anxiety about the whole process.Doctor Nguyen was excellent. The whole time He kept reassuring me and the assistants had great bedside manner. I will continue to use Access dental. I highly recommend this place

I am very unhappy with my new dentures. The first ones they made me were way to big for my mouth. After a year of tweaking them they still did not fit. Finally talked them into making me another one. Then the second denture was made and fit pretty good then they sent them to the lab and they came back I look like I have buck teeth. Not happy at all. I will be taking them B.c back and they will have to fix them.

This office is the best kept secret in town! The staff are friendly; they take their time and make sure you are comfortable and clear on what is going to happen. The doctor is amazing! A real pro! I have never had a bad experience at his office.

Had an appointment today with a cracked tooth and my problem wasn’t even addressed. I was just told to floss better and to be seen in 20 days. On top of that the dentist didn’t grace me with his presence until thirty minutes after the appointment had already began (post x-rays). I get that Access Dental is short staffed but why even give me the appointment when there is no time for me. This was a waste of my time, don’t let them waste yours.

This dentist is terrible. long waits and they stab my gums accidentally over and over again. i would not recommend

When the dentist came in to the exam room to examine my teeth as part of my cleaning he made fun of finding food between my teeth. Yes I brushed but I guess my flossing isnt up to par. I was embarrassed and offended. This is extremely unprofessional and I will never return to this office or any other that is part of this company.

I have only been seen at Access Dental once so far but the appointment was timely, the staff were friendly, the payment options were discussed with me before the procedure was scheduled and the follow up appointment was made at a time that works with my schedule.

I recently moved to the Chico area and needed to find a new provider for my dental care. Access Dental had mostly good reviews, so I selected them. They gave me some forms to fill out in advance. These included 4 pages of providing registration information, dental and medical history and an authorization and consent form. I had no problem with those. However, there was another 2-page informed consent form that I did have a problem with because it requires you to acknowledge BEFORE even seeing a dentist that you have received information about numerous potential treatments when none has been provided . It also requires you to give blanket permission for the dental office to do whatever procedures they choose. In other words, they can do whatever they want and are legally covered.The document is poorly written (several typographical errors and improper verb usage, e.g. past rather than future tense) and reads as though it was written by a corporate attorney to cover every conceivable occurrence and requires the patient to basically waive all rights. For example, under the section, Removal of Teeth, it states that Alternatives to removal have been explained to me (Obviously that is not true since I havent even seen the dentist yet.) and I authorize the Dentist to remove the teeth outlined in the treatment plan and any others necessary . . . (There is not yet any treatment plan. I dont really want to give any dentist prior approval to remove my teeth.) There are many other examples within this form of giving the dentist permission to do whatever operation she chooses and to claim prior knowledge on the part of the patient.When I first read this form I knew that I couldnt sign it, so I called Access Dental and was told by the woman answering the phone that I should just bring what I had to my first appointment. When I arrived and submitted my other forms, I was told they needed one more signature - on the informed consent form that I had already told them I wouldnt sign. The office manager then inserted himself and told me that I couldnt have my check-up without that form because they would need it to do x-rays. I said I would be happy to sign anything giving them permission to do x-rays. In fact, I already had because the Patient Registration Form that I had already submitted includes the statement, I hereby authorize doctor or designated staff to take x-rays . . .Needless to say, I left that office quite angry because I had been led to believe that the objectionable form wouldnt been needed, and I had wasted several hours of my time in preparing forms and traveling (one hour round-trip).

Very skilled in all areas. They handle the insurance well, and they know their job.

They have done a great job getting me all set for my dentures! Have been very pleased However the final result leaves a lot to be desired. My top dentures are terrible I can not eat with them in the come out every time. I have gone backvrepeatedly to be told that there is nothing wrong with them I just need to adjust the way I eat. Finally the last time I went I saw a different dentist and he told me I needed to have putimplants on top. Only thats 4 not 2 like the bottom and because I now have so much bone loss it would require cadaver bones being implanted in thru the. sinuses all in all very expensive and time consuming approx a yr.before I had top dentures which by the.way he talked by then there would be more bone loss. Not a happy customer

Today I had the best visit with a Dental Hygienist that I have ever had. Her name is Ritika Jaiya she said just started at Access Dental in June. She did a thorough cancer check for lumps in my head, neck, jaw and inside my mouth. She gave me excellent information about TMD that I have never heard before, and I have done research on the internet. She did a wonderful job cleaning and gave me a choice of the water jet or hand planing (which I actually prefer). She actually asked me if I liked the flavor of the toothpaste (tangerine) and said she would note it in my chart! On top of doing an excellent job, she is a sweet, pleasant and funny person. It is obvious that she loves her work and really cares about her patients. Just wanted to share!
