I had a good experience here once, but my second rental with Windy City Watersports, was pretty bad. My jet ski kept dying during my 1 hour rental. At one point I sat and floated for 15 minutes before they sent somebody out. By the end of the hour I had only spent half the time riding. I brought this up to one of the employees, and they said they could offer me a free half-hour. I called several times in an attempt to redeem my 30-minute ride, but could never get a call back.

Me and my girlfriend went here for a Groupon reservation. The woman at the hut was very accommodating and walked us through the paper work with a great attitude. When we approached the water, they were just sending out another group of jet skiers, so we had to wait about 20 min past our scheduled time. It was a fun experience and painless besides the wait. I would come again if another Groupon deal came.

Went with my girlfriend. The girl at the front desk was very nice and accommodating and thats about it.....the guy who explained the rules to us was cursing about other customers who were in front of us. Overall they just need to take care of the customers.

Same experience as everyone else who gave this 1-star. I do not believe the 5-star reviews are written by actual customers. Save your money for jet-skiing on an exotic vacation.

I had a great experience using two Groupons. Daniel and Johnny were awesome and answered all my questions. If you have a Groupon you have to make sure to follow all reservation guidelines. I see a lot of complaints but I didnt have any of those issues. I will say that they have a lot of appointments so if you are late you cannot be angry that they cancel your reservation. Just make sure you are on time. Also, there was no one standing at the brown house where you get the rental but Daniel was watching and before we could turn around to ask for help he was already right there asking if we needed help. Awesome place and I would definitely go again. Unlike most Groupons this one does not have a cap on the number that are sold so they have very strict rules for reservations to make an effort to accommodate everyone. Great experience!! I would certainly recommend it. Glad my experience was with Daniel and Johnny and not whomever everyone is complaining about. 😁

Horrible experience. Every employee we encountered talk to us like an extremely rude teenager would. They mentioned in the group-on to show up 30 mins early. So we got there at 11:15(reservation was at 12). They never showed. Instead they first redeemed our at 11:55 and then waited to call us until 12:15 and let us know they werent going to be opening the Montrose beach location due to weather concerns. We called multiple times with no answer and when we did get an answer the young man talked to us like we were his children. I mentioned that we cant make it over to the alternate location because the lot was full and there was no. He said that they couldnt refund us(We cant control the weather, was the exact quote) and that we can either reschedule or just lose the group-on. They were very rude I and I would HIGHLY recommend any other company offering watersport services other that this one. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with any company as far as customer service goes.

My day was canceled last year because of rain was told to go to north ave beach as Im on the bus on my way they then text and tell everyone not to even go to north ave beach its off all together ...it was not even raining it was drizzling and it stopped completely before I even made it back home ..I also paid 20 for each jet ski to have an extra rider for a total of $40 that I have yet to reimbursed for even though groupon has already reimbursed me ....this place is completely unprofessional and would never put any money in their pockets!!!! I STILL WANT MY REFUND BUT HAVE YET TO GET A CALL BACK EVEN THO I HAVE LEFT NUMEROUS MESSAGES IM SERUOUSLY THINKING ABOUT TAKING THEM TO COURT ITS NIT THE AMOUNT ITS THE PRINCIPLE YOU DONT PROVIDE THE SERVICE THAT WAS PAID FOR CUSTOMERS SHOULD IMMINENTLY GET A REFUND ITS BEEN 7 MONTHS!

Sad to say this had very poor customer service...and they ruined our entire day. The staff was not friendly at all..looks like it is run by terribly unprofessional people who dont care about customers.. stay away from them...!!! And specially do not go with the Groupon deal. They dont honor it , after all they gave the deal in groupon for publicity but they make sure it will be ruined if you come with that. Even though Jet skiing is a fun experience, they can make sure you will hate it forever!

Sad excuse for a business, run by a bunch of kids. If you are thinking of buying a groupon to go here, dont even bother. They think groupon users are less than full paying customers. The whole reason someone would offer deals on groupon is to increase their customer base, but for some reasons these guys think their groupon deal is for charity. They gave us a wrong address to come to when we got their (a 1 hour drive from the suburbs) they were no where to be found. and when we called them, they had NO IDEA what the address was. in the end we got 10 minutes late. they refused to give us the remainder of our reservation, refused a refund, refused a reschedule. I had booked a 1/2 ride with 1 additional rider on groupon for $45 and they just took my money and gave NOTHING in return.

I was 15 min late and was told I couldnt go out on the jet ski ...I cant reschedule and I cant get a refund. The employees talk to you like youre crap....they wouldnt give me owner name or number..this was something that I planned for my birthday and now its ruined. I will be taking them to court.

I would not recommend booking with this company as their policy forbids any partial or full refund for missed reservations, which is simply not acceptable in this day and age.
