Great shop. I have taken a few classes with Scuba Sensations. They are always small, personal, thorough and fun. Taking time to work with me has made me a much better diver. They are always helping you improve, in the water and out. They sell great equipment and always willing to answer questions when I need something, be it equipment or dive destinations. I always recommend Rami (Owner) and Scuba Sensations to new and advanced divers.

Just finished my Open Water Diving Certification class with Rami. It was a great experience and I am excited and confident about my first open water dives in Mexico next month. He was the teacher I needed, patient and very through.

I must have driven by this place 1000 times and never noticed it. I have a trip planned for Hawaii and needed to get some gear at the last minute. This is a small shop run by Rami, and it is clear that he has a passion for the sport. He is extremely nice, knowledgeable, and patient. No hard sell, just get the correct equipment for what you need. Prices are also very reasonable.I stopped by as a whim, and now I have found my new local dive shop. This place is definitely worth checking out.

Went here to get certified. Rami is a great instructor, and an all-around enjoyable person. The shop is small, but has everything I needed. Pool lessons were super close by, with open water lessons at the Haigh Quarry, which is a bit of a hike.

A friend of mine was going diving with this outfit. I jump onto the trip and have been absolutely thrilled with them. The owner is the kindest most thoughtful person. Everyone is treated so well.Being new to the group I thought it might be difficult to mix with everyone. Well nothing could have been further from the truth. All the regular divers who travel with this shop were very friendly and helpful. Brad lost so many things I felt advanced right away.Since that first adventure I have gone on two more trips. I can hardly wait for our next excursion. I am now an advanced diver with Nitrox certification. Spoiled after my Scuba Sensations experiences. Who knows an underwater camera might just be my next purchase!!

I live in New York, yet this is my scuba shop. Rami is knowledgeable, careful, and a lot of fun to be around. Ive done 4 trips with them with another planned. Very nice group of people. Some very serious divers so there is a lot of expertise to lean on. The shop is a pleasure to browse. Everything in the shop is worth looking at and considering. Plus I know that Rami will give me good advice that he will stand by.

Friendly and helpful on the phone. They dont have a 4500psi compressor (as of March 2016), but offered to have tank filled elsewhere (about 5 day turn-around)

Im a scuba diver and have known Rami and Scuba Sensations for many years. I have had many positive diving gear and troubleshooting experiences that keep me coming back. Rami always has a smile when I walk in, and goes above and beyond each and every time to make my experience positive. There have been times where I am running late, but if I let him know, hes very willing to stay at the store longer past closing time to help me with my diving question/gear/issue. He strives to make it easier for his customers to the best of his ability. Hes helped me with valve issues on tanks, re-adjustments on my bands for twin-tank configuration, dry gloves, and lots of basic diving/photography skills. I really appreciate the time he takes to show and explain things to me (about my questions), which is a great chance to learn and become a better diver. I think I learn something new each time I go there! More than that, he himself is humble and open to what customers may have to share about their experience so that he can learn from them. At the store, Ive seen Ramis patience, experience, and humor come together when working with customers. While I havent taken any classes through the shop, as an avid diver, I really like and respect how Rami pushes his own personal diving beyond his comfort zone (taking additional advanced classes for himself and his personal enjoyment), since thats going to show through during his instruction. I hope more (new and experienced) divers realize that the quality of instruction goes a long way towards becoming a proficient and confident diver.

My only regret is we didnt find Rami/Scuba Sensations sooner. We ended up taking our Nitrox and Advanced courses with him and learned just how much we missed by not having taken our basic open water course with him in the first place. He went above and beyond in our advanced open water class work by sticking around well after hours and helping us figure out how to streamline our gear for better buoyancy and trim. We also purchased our BCDs, wetsuits, and a number of incidental items from him over the past four years that have made our dives even more enjoyable. But the true value of this shop comes from Ramis ability to put together a phenomenal dive trip. We just returned from our first (CoCoView in Roatan) with Rami and his crew. Rami works hard to put together an easy-going, dive-centric trip with a great group of people. As a testament to how happy we are with this shop, were planning on taking our rescue diver certification course with them, as well as looking at joining him on another adventure. If you love diving, this is your shop!

While I was somewhat interested in scuba diving, I was pretty content to be a snorkeler for life because I was nervous about scuba diving. My husband and I signed up for the Open Water certification class at Scuba Sensations, anyway. My fear and anxiety about scuba diving was in full force by week 2, and without Rami and Scuba Sensations, I probably would have been that snorkeler for life.Rami knew exactly how to treat me whether I needed to talk through my fears, realistic or not, for the first time or the tenth time, or whether I needed to hear a story or some other reassurance. He was so patient, and he somehow made me feel comfortable and safe, time and time again (not an easy feat!). Rami knows when to coach and correct you, and he realizes when you already know you messed up and in no way makes you feel bad about it. His small class sizes allow him to devote that personal attention and coaching to you; he really gets to know you. As the student, you not only reap the benefit of the extra time and attention, but you also do not feel the pressure of many students waiting and watching for you to finally figure out how to complete the skill. That made it much easier for me to learn some of the skills that were more challenging to me. Plus, you get more dive time and experience because you arent sharing the pool time with too many other students. Rami helped me surprise myself with all of the knowledge, skill, and confidence I gained during my Open Water Certification; Im so proud and excited to be certified!Throughout the course, Rami shared his personal knowledge and best practices to provide a truly comprehensive learning experience; he willingly shared his time and his knowledge to teach us more about everything from equipment to scuba techniques to suggestions on an upcoming scuba trip we have planned. We finished the open water dive component with Rami and his team as well, and I cannot thank them enough for the ongoing support, help, reassurance, tips, and laughs throughout our course. Id highly recommend working with Rami from start to finish on your Open Water course, and I can confidently say that we will return to Scuba Sensations for scuba questions, dive equipment, and other courses (yes, visions of just snorkeling are definitely behind me).
