Honestly I don’t know where to even begin! My husband and I originally had our entire wedding planned and ready to go for May down in Florida but due to Covid we had to cancel as many others did as well! We then pushed our date to October but cancelled for a 2nd time. At that point we had only 3.5 weeks to prepare a Backyard summer wedding of our dreams and video/photos were our top priority, as it was so important to me to capture our special day. As soon as I reached out to LEAP and told them our situation they BLEW me away with not only how quick they were to respond to my panicked email lol but also how understanding and willing they were to help us out last minute!! They were able to set up a meeting with us over the phone to discuss details and went above and beyond to even help out with guiding me threw a timeline of the day/night.They were so easy to work with and on the day of our wedding they literally just felt like friends at the wedding. So laid back. No pressure and made things so natural and effortless on our end when taking photos & video. They were able to capture absolutely stunning shots and video and my husband and I will forever be grateful for them! I am so impressed with our wedding video! It is so fabulous, we can watch it over and over again (and we have and will continue to). LEAP incorporated all the important parts of our day into a well produced, emotional, hilarious, exciting and fun video that depicts our personalities and the vibe of our wedding perfectly. OMG Leap weddings made a movie of our love story. It was so much more than a wedding video. This is the most amazing wedding gift we could have for ourselves. I seriously cant recommend them strongly enough. For those of you that may be wondering if a video is necessary, I can honestly tell you that the day will go by so fast that you may think after it is over that you may actually have missed so much of it; which is how my husband and I felt the next day. When we received the video, my husband and I opened a bottle of champagne and relieved the day. We must have watched it at least 10 times that first night. Two weeks later, my husband and I have watched it at least 100 times and with anyone and everyone who will watch it with us. I still cant make it through the video without crying. Even my father said what ever you paid for that video, it was worth every penny. One of my Hollywood friends said I have seen a lot of wedding videos in my lifetime as a stylist, and this film is Oscar worthy. One of my bridesmaids in my wedding worked with LEAP Weddings to give me the greatest wedding gift I could have ever asked for. While I did have a videographer for the day of my wedding, this gift was actually a video put together PRIOR to my wedding day that was shown at my rehearsal dinner. What I loved about this concept is how unique it was.My friend worked with LEAP to create a masterpiece of love, humor, and real emotion from the most important people in mine and my husbands life. The team got every person in our bridal party and every close family member of ours to interview for the video. A lot of our bridal party wasnt local but it didnt matter because the team was able to take interview responses from people who they werent physically able to interview on camera. They also had shot our actual engagement and engagement photos which brought our love story together flawlessly.I had been given a few hints of footage that was going to appear in the video, but when I actually saw it in full the night of the rehearsal dinner, I couldnt contain my emotions. Our particular video was around 30 minutes and it was so moving that it felt like only 5 minutes had past when it was over and I wanted even more. It was hilarious, it was heartfelt, it was tear-jerking, and it was put together in such an incredible fashion that I could have never imagined. I heard from almost everyone that attended our rehearsal dinner that it was one of the most special things they had ever witnessed and I was lucky to have such an amazing friend who would coordinate putting it together. I was so excited when my family hired Ben Mahoney to make a wedding montage for my husband and I to premiere the wedding weekend. Although I am out in Los Angeles, Ben was always accessible to reach when we had questions or ideas. He made a video that totally captured my husband and I, right down the music that he did solo! There was so much humor and beauty in it, we still play the DVD all of the time at home. There are a lot of vendors out here that are amazing, but Ben is top notch, it was an easy decision. My Husband and I went back in forth for a couple of months as to whether we could book Leap Weddings for our October 2017 wedding. I had followed them for a long time and knew that if we were going to have a videographer it would be Leap Weddings or just simply no videographer. When we first met with Ben and Stephanie, I felt that I have known them for years! They just got us and our vision for our wedding. We had a sort of complicated situation being that we were living in Hawaii and had to plan everything from Chicago; not to mention that we wanted a military and jewish theme . We simply told Ben and Stephanie what we wanted and they made it happen. Since we were so far away and loved Leap so much, we ended booking all things wedding (photographer, DJ and wedding planners) either though LEAP or by their recommendation.We were a little worried about what everything would look like since we basically gave Ben the reins. Within 5 seconds of them arriving on island, that worry went away. They got everything done and it was all amazing. We had them video the entire week from our night out on a pirate ship to the rehearsal dinner and of course the wedding day. The week was the best of our lives and it just went by in a whirl wind. I didnt remember half of what happened to be honest but Leap helped with that. They shot it all and the videos they created are amazing. We ended up with quite a few videos. They made a rehearsal dinner one with all our friends and family giving us advice. A day of edit which showed the ceremony at the reception. A 17 minute to music montage of the rehearsal dinner and wedding day. And last all the raw footage edited into final films. It was a lot and we loved every minute of every video. I highly highly recommend spending the money on all or at least some of the video options that they have. As we watched each video, it was like we were right back at the wedding week. We laughed, cried and best of all got to see all the things we missed. We truly felt like we received a gift with the videos because it was like having the wedding all over again. We had the most amazing wedding and we can truly say that it was because of Ben, Stephanie and the rest of the Leap crew. A huge thanks to all of you!

Oh man, where do I start?!First of all, this team is beyond special! Besides being extremely professional, they keep it REAL- they are salt of the earth people who LOVE what they do and who want nothing more than to make you feel like your own trueself on you wedding day! When searching for a wedding videographer, we did a ton of research on local (and out of town) companies. I got married in May of 2010. My photographer ended up being fraudulent so I didnt get all my pictures nor the albums I paid for. I just had a friend record the ceremony and it was very poor quality and I only had about 40 minutes of coverage between the ceremony and reception. Needless to say, all my memories were pretty much in my head. I contacted Ben and Lizi with Leap Weddings and told them my story. They were able to take my 40 minutes of really poor quality and make an AMAZING video summarizing the event. I finally have something I can show my friends and family! I asked for the video in time for our 3 year wedding anniversary and Leap Weddings delivered an on time and amazing video. I feel so lucky to have met Ben and Lizi!! Thank you so much!

I hope that every single one of my friends uses LEAP Weddings as their wedding videographer! I might be a little biased, because it was my wedding, but everyone ive shown it to (friends, co-workers, its so good ive tried to force strangers on the train to watch it with me, but they just look at me oddly) has said its the best editing and videography they have ever seen. While the final product is as good as any professional filming youll find on TV, the best thing about LEAP is Ben, Becky, and Don. They were strangers when we were referred to them, and after spending the weekend with us, theyve become great friends. Theyre great people to work with. Ill admit - i was skeptical about the price, but after spending time with them, and seeing the final result, the video ended up being a bargain for the quality of the product they produced. For your wedding... everyone wishes they would have had a videographer if they didnt have one, and if they had a video done, everyone that watches ours wishes they would have used LEAP. Its not something we watch on our wedding anniversary each year, its something we want to watch almost weekly.

I have a feeling this will be a long review. If you dont read beyond this paragraph, at least read this. Many choices go into making a wedding possible, especially in Chicago, but Leap Weddings was by far the best decision we made.My wife and I first learned about Leap Weddings when our photographers at Gerber and Scarpelli (also a great pick!) recommended them. We were blown away by the wedding videos on their website, but it seemed like we couldnt afford it at the time. So we looked into several cheaper options, and none of them compared, so we initially decided to just forego a videographer all together. After seeing some friends wedding videos and how much the videos meant to them, however, we had a change of heart and decided to give Leap Weddings a call.We worked with Steph throughout the entire planning process, and she was so great to work with. She was super friendly, really quick to respond, and she didnt get upset when it took us a while to get back to her. As a recently wedded lady, she gets how hectic wedding planning is and clearly communicated our options and next steps.Jack and Josh were our videographers for the big day. I know Ben is the top guy at Leap, but these two were absolutely incredible. Not only did they do an awesome job capturing our wedding, but they were so much fun to hang out with. Since they filmed us all day, they spent more time with us than did our best men and matrons of honor. Jack and Josh are also super creative. There were a few unique things about our wedding--from a 24-member bridal party to home-made decorations to a Chewbacca cameo. The guys not only captured it all, but they were so excited to experiment with footage and try different things. It made our video feel that much more unique to know that Leap wasnt just doing cookie-cutter shots all day.Does a wedding videographer cost a lot? Yep. Is it a necessary part of a wedding? Nope. But you get much more than what you pay for with Leap Weddings, and youll cherish the final product and the relationships you made with these cool and friendly people. One of our guests liked our videos so much she is considering using Leap Weddings for her wedding in OHIO!The only issue we had was that it was difficult to rip the videos off the DVDs so we could post everything online for our family and friends to enjoy. But I hear that they have transitioned from DVDs to flash drives, so it seems like theyve since fixed this.To Steph, Jack, and Josh--again, thank you so much, and hopefully we can stop by and catch up next time were in Chicago.

Now that my wedding is over, the only suggestion that I give to friends getting married is use Ben Mahoney for their wedding videographer. Ben Mahoney Productions did an amazing job on our wedding video and I cant say enough about his work. My husband and I were hesitant on getting a videographer at first and once we went through with it and saw the ending product, we both realized it was the best wedding move we made. It was simply amazing and beautiful. Ben was so accommodating and flexible and did such a nice job catching the moment. I truly think he is the best in Chicago, if not in the country, because of his creativity and modern feel. I think it is just wonderful to be able to go back and see all the things that I missed on the wedding day and Ben captured it all! It is so unique and personalized and my husband and I cant stop watching it to catch new things that he added. I highly recommend Ben Mahoney Productions.
