Love the fact that they are always open and have availability but the service here is terrible and the technicians all have the worst attitude and appear angry as if they hate their jobs. Sometimes you get lucky and find someone who does great nails or brows but most of them rush and end up messing up because they are paid by how many they service. Good luck

I only go for my eyebrows so I cant say much about other services but they keep a consistent flow of traffic... Vicky is the Best (5-stars) with the brows though!! She can be nice and mean so just speak (maybe ask how she is doing) and keep it pushing because you never know.

This is the only place in Chicago that I found to do a gelx fill-in. They did an amazing job, too!!

They are very much unprofessional. And there nail polish quality is really bad. Your paint comes off the same day even with no chip. I would not recommend to come here. Ever! They didn’t even want to correct what they made a mistake with. I will never come here again. Bad service , very disrespectful.

My eyebrows came out good this time but the first time not so much... I love mood polish and their selection was very limited and the color chart didnt show the transition from hot to cold... This is my second time going to VL Nails & Im on the fence about going back... I guess three strikes and youre out, lol... One good thing about the nail shop is that they open as early as 9:00 a.m.

I came up for a wedding and visited my family. As a girls day we decided to go get our nails and feet done. The service provided wasn’t service it was in fact very rude, unprofessional and not consistent with what was asked for. I asked more than several times to make my nails nude. I was told okay that’s an extra $5 dollars, I said okay great. As my nails where getting done I repeatedly asked about my matte coating and I was told okay. My nails where finally done, still no matte coating. When I asked the finally time I was told it couldn’t be done on my feet but it could be on my hands. Had I known I couldn’t get what was requested I would have never gotten anything. The owner was rude, so I’m sure the workers feel as if they can be too and they were just that. I wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone !!!

Sis, if you value your self-respect and money do not visit this place! Terrible quality & unprofessional staff…witnessed a woman argue with a male tech about the poor quality of her nails. I left after waiting a hour for service on a Tuesday afternoon & the girl in the back with the locs mockingly made a joke about me asking her for a towel so that I could dry my feet because I couldn’t bend down as a pregnant woman. She couldn’t fathom anyone leaving after receiving and witnessing such bad service. They also don’t clean the chairs or stations in between clients. Terrible service!

I was so satisfied with this company. My daughters nails done for her grandmothers wedding and a little waiting time. We was in and out about an hour waiting time. Thanks for a great job we will be returning soon...

My initial encounter of walking into VL Nails to get a fill in, Pedicure and Eyebrow Wax didn’t go well because I wasn’t acknowledged upon my entry. So I politely said Hello and asked how long would my wait be and I inquired about their prices. I then turned to leave because I wasn’t feeling the vibes, while exiting the shop I seen a familiar face, BJ, who was my nail tech from Nails Today on 95th street and I immediately followed him back inside and was seen right away!! The service he provided and provides is extraordinary!!! He is the best at what he does!!! His wife Cindy blessed my feet with the best Pedicure and I was introduced to my new eyebrow specialist Vicky and honey she got me right together!! The establishment is very clean and sanitized and COVID GUIDELINES ARE BEING USED TO THE MAX!!! The services were good and I felt like a Queen when I left!! Thank you VL Nails!!! My New Home!!! Wait until you get a whiff of the VIP options of Pedicures they offer!!

These people have extremely poor quality and service. I will not come back to this establishmentThey do a rush job, they have no organization. Poor job. Upcharge for less work. They try to enforce pay before work policy that isn’t even posted in the nail shop. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They just want your money for poor service.

I paid $55 for my nails on the 21st den three broke off on the 22nd and I didn’t even feel it

The nail tech rushed through my service, didn’t know how to do ombré nails so I settled for a different style. I had an overlay with no chip, chipped in a week, even my toes, which never chip, even with regular polish. Didn’t receive everything listed on the menu for the premium pedicure either. Don’t go here. Too huge for them to actually take care of their clients.

Literally just left the salon 20 mins ago and I’ve already had to super glue my nail back together after getting a FRESH FULL SET! How does that even happen ? This was the quickest I’ve gotten my nails done before . I should have known something was wrong. The only reason I came here is because my nail tech was busy. Then I got my lashes done and the lady messed them up and had to redo them, and they still aren’t up to par. Everything should be perfect considering the prices they have are expensive. After I go get my nail fixed tomorrow , I won’t return.

The owner Vicki has a very horrible attitude and does not speak to her PAYING customers respectfully. It’s very unprofessional and I will NEVER go there again. She projects negativity that others bring to her towards the customers who have nothing to do with these situations and when she’s checked, she gets defensive. It’s unfortunate that many people end up cursing her out and calling her out of her name to check her, then she humbly stops. She’s infiltrated our neighborhood and garners all of the African American business and money, yet she has no respect for the people that keep her in business. As I stated initially, NEVER AGAIN!

I went to get eyebrow tinting. Vicki who appears to be the shop clown, and the fast eyebrow waxer on the south side of Chicago, doesnt take the time to ask what you want. She over drew on my right eye and made both eyebrows thin. I woke the next day having to draw my brows in because it looked like nothing had been done. No I will NOT GO BACK AND I WONT RECOMMEND HER.

This was the worst ever. They are NOT social distance. Way to may people inside. The nail tech didnt understand my request and got an attitude with me. I had to return the next day to get nails redone. The smell is so strong. I will go back to traveling out my way to get my nails done. Will not return. WASTE of MONEY

I went here while vacationing in Chicago. First thing I noticed is there we close to no sanitizing of any kind. I had to request the foot technician to fully clean my chair after I noticed a fingernail was left on the table of the station I was asked to sit. When asked if they offered SNS services no one knew what I was speaking of. They kept calling it dipping powder, however there was no dip. It was similar to getting gel/acrylics however you use what they called dipping powder. There’s a charge for EVERYTHING. If you want your nail cut..it’s a charge. Nails shape..extra charge. Soak off for nail services...charge. Finally I got my nails done Saturday and today..Monday...and the top coat is peeling already. I’m just happy to be back home in Georgia where the SNS fill in is $35 and includes your soak off, nail cut and shape. $25 for a pedicure and it includes the salt scrub.

Vicky waxed my skin off!!!! I told her stop snatching that damn wax off aggressively. It burn above my eyes in my eye brow area. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND LET VICKY WAX MY EYE BROWS AGAIN‼️ My face is scarred

It was a busy day so I knew it was going to be a wait. But I waited almost and hour toGet called to the back and then when I got called to the back I waited another 30 minutes for them to start on my feet.then they where slow.

Do not waste your time! I went to Vickys nails after over a year hiatus from this dump and was quickly reminded why I stoped coming here! I received a no chip that was chipping within 3 days! There were towels all over the floor. Poor communication with the tech! The list goes on! Never again will I waste my money here! There are too many options to settle for this type of F-cked up service!

I went to get my nails and feet did on Friday and I am in the a shop today getting the same stuff did all over again I spent over a 100 buck and that’s a dam shame I’m in a shop again doing all over again they do rush work

I liked my nails from them in the past but My last experience made me not want to come back. They kept switching prices on service. I told them what I wanted up front and asked the price. A lady told me 55 then went up to 65 in the middle of doing my nails and all I left with were some basic a$$ one color nails medium length no design no nothing.

I am very disappointed with the service I received. After being with my nail salon for over 15 years,they went out of business. I decided to try V Nails and I was very disappointed, I have been there three times hoping for better service, and this last time was the worst. I paid for no chip and my nails started chipping in a week, my lashes fell off in a few days. The only service I was pleased with is the pedicure.I am in the process of finding a new place. I wouldn’t go here the women who did my nails cut my fingers, most of my nails do not have powder on the side I told her I wanted a new color and she said no this is the color you can on your toes.

I went there yesterday after seeing pictures online of their work i am a cosmetology student so i go in looking at the cleanliness i noticed the plastic cover used to separate the client and the nail technician and it was dirty i wanted a pedicure and full set i wait for about 30 min they take me and my sister to a station where i still waited as i waited i seen them not washing out the foot baths after each client just placing in a plastic covering and not wiping down the seats they dont use clean tools or implements they are supposed to clean and sterilize any non disposable tools after each client not to mention the lady was rude i tried catching there attention and she ignored me i walked out without a service because everything was disgusting i will be reporting them to the department of health

The male nail tech I had was passive aggressive and wasn’t welcoming but overall the ambience of the salon is okay. I wouldn’t return unless I was in a rush.

I got no chip on my own nails....It chipped 3 days later..I got lashes too..came off in less than 48hrs

This place is RACIST‼️ They were so rude and talk down to every patron that is black; which is their clientele. I asked for my big toe to be full rhinestone and my nail tech refused and said it was too much work. So he said he was getting the manager. The manager also refused telling me she didn’t do toes. I was extremely confused and embarrassed. My best friend was upset because her tech was tossing her hand around and being rough. I got quoted two different prices for the rhinestone nail. The tech said $10 a toe and the manager told me $15. If that wasn’t enough she stopped after she put my nails on to take a LUNCH BREAK! Complete disregard for my time and was of the upmost disrespect. She probably wanted me to leave. I really wanted my nails done and my friend was also being serviced, but never will I ever let another human treat me this way. Once I finally got out I realized she did not give me a full rhinestone nail on my toe. She used a glitter polish as a base and scattered the rhinestones around. It was the worst experience of my life. Before I left I witnessed other staff talking very disrespectful to the clients and the customers whispering their grievances amongst one another. I hope all of these ladies find the self respect to stop supporting this business with zero ethical standards.

Today is my last time coming to this salon. Clean salon, friendly staff, but the nail work & pedicures are not great. Vicky do an amazing job with eyebrows, I have to give them that. I’ve been coming here since they opened. I always get no chip polish but it always chips within days. The last two times I’ve come here I’ve selected nail polish & the technician Denise said they ran out of the color. She also manages to not polish the side of my nails, & nail beds. So disappointing.

My nails looked great on Friday but by Saturday the no chip polish chipped. They fixed the nail polish free but by the next day the polish on 2 other nails chipped. The door of the business says they open at 9:30 am Sun through Thur however i arrived at 10 am on a Tue and the business was not open.

Kit is awesome TRULY does his job but I dont like when another nail Tec talks their language thats disrespectful.

All I did was ask question, and they were rude and disrespectful. I asked a question about my eyebrows and lashes. I was satisfied with the eyebrows but the lashes strip was terrible at least if you are going to be rude do a good job. Never will I be back. Taking my money else where .

The staff is friendly it’s convenient to where I live but my polish job was JUST OK! The pedicure itself was was not that great. My toes and skin around it looks dry.

Vicki use to be the best in the city to get your brows done. The last 2 times I wasn’t pleased. The first time she took too much off leaving them thin she didn’t make me pay. I gave her another chance because I figured she was very busy the time before. Months later I return she did the exact same thing I only wanted them cleaned up and filled in she took sooooo much off. Vicki slowwwww down and take your time.

They have an attitude when you ask for a specific nail tech. they’re rough and they talk about you in your face with other workers. they don’t have a space to dry your nails so when i got my no chip pedicure they made me leave before it was even dry. TERRIBLE SERVICE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and INCONSIDERATE

I went to get my lashes done and the next day they looked horrible, went back to get a refund or get them fixed and they didn’t do either, I called the police but they couldn’t settle it because they Claimed it was between me and the business. Basically they are not accommodating to their customers and money hungry! I was a regular customer but I will never be back in there!
