Love this place. Great for private parties.

We loved hosting our rehearsal dinner at TLR! We had a mix of adults and kids, so we wanted a space where people could move around. The mix of tables and comfy chairs/couches made the space feel homey and relaxing. We catered from Antique Taco (awesome!) and had so much fun! Keith and Marcy were so accommodating - they had all kinds of kitchen equipment to use for the perfect setup. The space is super cute and makes for great pictures. I would highly recommend checking out this spot for your event!!!

This is a great multi-purpose space for gatherings ranging from corporate to personal. Ive attended planning meetings (more business-related) and also artsy gatherings that focus on music, wine and friends. Theres plenty of seating/floor space, and the venue has an on-site kitchen for your use. Marcy knows how to coordinate events and can help you to make your next shindig a success. Close to public transportation and easy to find.

Marcy and Keith are fantastic! I hosted my bf’s surprise 30th birthday party here and it all turned out great. They were super accommodating with me and they responded to all my questions quickly.All of our friends loved it! It truly felt like we were in our own living room. I definitely would rent out again in the future!

This is one of my favorite venues in Chicago.Clean, funky and a great location.Keith and Marcy are a pleasure to work with. Super nice, flexible and helpful. Every time I hold an event there, I get compliments from the attendees.

This place is suave, upscale and cozy and good for parties, birthday celebrations and family gatherings. We had a office meeting / party at this place it was really great

Great rental space for a casual event. Loved all the amenities that came with the place. Chairs, tables, TVs, stereo, full kitchen. Clean bathroom

Great place to have a party and not be concerned about noise issues. Also a great place for a baby shower, kids birthday party or every karaoke night. Image that! From what Ive personally know about this please, the rental price is fairly reasonable.

After reading all of the great reviews I decided to contact Keith and Marcy in regards to renting their place for my boyfriends 40th Birthday Party.My highest priorities were as follows:1. Ability to have a hosted DJ at my event without any issues (loud music).2. Renting the space at least until 2:00 am.When I contacted Keith and Marcy and explained my priorities they were completely fine with them and were happy to proceed. However - on the day of the event everything changed. Every hour Keith would stop in to ensure that everything is okay which I am sure is nice for some people, however was disruptive for a large event with many moving parts (food, music, dancing). The biggest letdown of all was the fact that Keith began to complain about the music. I rented this place with a full disclosure that we will have a DJ. I cant believe that I was bothered every half an hour about the volume (which was reasonable for a DJ hosted party). If this was a problem to begin with - Keith should not have rented us this place PRIOR to all the arrangements I made and started the party. Halfway through the party (about 11 PM) he came in and asked us to cancel the event! We catered in $1200 worth of food and beverages that took us an hour and a half to set up, the party was in full swing and now we were being asked to cancel the event because the music was too loud?Our event started at 8:30 PM and was scheduled to go until 2:00 AM. I feel like my party was ruined by the constant interruptions - Keith was literally walking around the party and measuring the decibels using an iPhone app. According to him the sound system we brought was too much for a place the size of his - however it is a standard setup! We often host events like this in spaces that are the same or even smaller sized! The listing for this place had no indication of reasonable decibels, and I was extremely upfront and honest about the music before we even began!In conclusion, I paid $900 for 6 hours, which I believe is more than enough money for a place this size. Instead of having fun and relaxing during the event I had a headache because of all the stress induced by the hosts.Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to others. I am disappointed with the communication of the hosts, and the unreasonable expectations in regards to our music set up, the request to cancel our event in the middle of it, and the constant interruptions.

Rental w living room decor, 2k sq foot place that provides folding tables n chairs for about 30-40ppl. No parking, BYOB n food.

I attended a wedding and it was wonderful. Homey and friendly, just like the name makes it sound.

Very quaint, great ambiance, it was a great Venue for our Bridal Shower.
