He wanted to charge me 25 for a battery replacement which is on the pricey side but he convinced me that there could be some circuit corrosion bc of cheap prior battery replacements, so I let him take a look at it. He tells me new battery won’t work and it needs professional cleaning and he could do that for another 85! Lol! He’s a crook, do not trust this place!

I went in for a watch battery replacement. Cost $20 which isn’t bad. It seemed to work right away, but by the next morning the watch was no longer operating correctly. Absolute waste of money.

I spent $55 because my dainty necklace snapped at one of the chain links. When I came to pick it up, I noticed that the fixed necklace had a bump where the makeshift fix was, but I paid the shop and went about my day. 2 days later, I readjusted my necklace and it snapped in the same exact spot. This was a complete waste of my money.

I go into this shop for my first and last time, Today Tuesday March 9th 2021, with 2 silver bracelets, needing 1 link removed from each bracelet & asking that I have 1 Charm linked to 1 of the bracelets, I get home and the charm that I Asked be Linked to bracelet is No longer on bracelet, that means that the charm was not Securely linked to bracelet. I called this shop back simply to inform them of this and politely hung up my cell. I guess that’s my lost! And they charged me $20, the lost charm costed more than that. But I stopped under the Bryan mawr train station before hand and that Reputable Jewelry store had a for assign in the window. I’m done!

I’m not sure why this place only has 2 stars. This is a great neighborhood jewelry repair that I’ve gone to for 6 years now. I go here not only for the convenience but also for the quality of work. I’ve gotten watch batteries changed and just today got my ring fixed. It was bent in 3 places and had a crack in the silver. He filled the crack, smoothed out the surface, and polished it for $40. I think that’s completely reasonable for all that work. Maybe the prices are a tiny bit high but what do you expect?... this is Lakeview and rent is very expensive here. Plus not many businesses last in this neighborhood because of that reason. Businesses have to charge in order to not go out of business. It’s also a family owned place. As someone local you should be happy to support “mum and pop” shops - I know I am and recommend this place to anyone.

I do not understand the other reviews - the price here was very affordable for my watch repair. I had several links taken out and a battery replaced, total was $35. This is Lakeview and prices here are going to higher than out in the burbs and rural places. The service was great, efficient, and helpful. I’d gladly pay more for good quality service!

Got few links taken out of bracelet. In and out, very quick and reasonably priced($20). Would come back again. This place has 2 star reviews because of the price, but hey, if you don’t want to do it yourself- here’s the place.

Had my watch battery replaced here, had to come back 3 weeks later b/c watch wasnt working. They put a dead battery in... smh

Went here to get some of my keys copied since most copy machines did not have the right kind. They were extremely fast and did a lot better than places that are actually meant for key copying. Cheap too! If you need keys copied, this is the place to go.

I went here for 3 battery replacements on my 3 watches and the total cost wasnt brought up until work was finished. It was $55. Unbelievable price for new batteries to be put in especially when the guy got it done in less than 5 mins. Everyone should avoid this place if they do not want to get ripped off. I support local businesses but I do not support scam artists.

Had two watch batteries replaced and a watch band for 75 dollars. Felt like that was expensive. Work provided was done well.

Amazing this place is still in business! Over charges, terrible service, rude and unprofessional. There are much better options nearby, Ill never step foot in this place again...youll be disappointed frustrated as you waste your money dealing with this business.

I brought in my Timex for a repair since the Indiglo feature stopped working after it fell to the ground. In only 15 minutes, the watch was fixed thanks to a new battery, and I got a new band that will prevent the watch from falling of my wrist.

Not a fan of this place. Yes, they had a lot of stuff laying around, but they were pushy and not at all patient with my situation. All I was looking for was a new band and they would barely give me the time of day (no pun intended). The icing on the cake was when I finally found a band that would work, they started drilling into my watch to make their post fit. By the time I had a chance to protest, the damage was already done. His only response was, I had to do it. Sorry, but that seems like something you ask the customer before you just do it.

Do NOT GO Here!! Very greedy and unprofessional. He butchered and sloppily fixed my watch, he seems to know nothing about movements, eta, swiss. My watch broke a day after he butchered it, thumbprints etc. he also said it needed a $10 part and didnt even ask me before he did it. Its sad I like to support small business, but I dont like to support poor customer service and pushy dishonest thievery!

Brought in a favorite silver necklace with a broken link in the chain. Charged $30 for a crappy repair job - could tell where the chain had been soldered as it was burned and then sat black against my neck. Small matter though as it broke again within a matter of weeks. Hopefully can get it fixed well this time. Avoid.

I sent my girlfriend to resize her watch there, she has never gotten her watch resized before. Skinny little watch, 1 min job, took $20 from her because his original tool was broken. AVOID THIS PLACE BY ALL COSTS. SHOULD BE TORN DOWN AND REPLACED WITH ANOTHER SHOP. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
