BUYER/CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!If I could give zero stars I would have. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a jeweler. I am glad to see that Rosa is closing her store as I would hate to see her do what she did to me to any other customers. I thought she was such a nice woman when I first met her however, unfortunately I was duped. I found Chavez Jewelry store via Google and was super excited to find great prices and what was supposed to be fast service. As a business owner myself I thought patronizing a small mom and pop business was a great idea even with my skepticism. I brought my diamond ring in to have it repaired. The repair required a missing diamond to be replaced that surrounded my larger diamond. Rosa told me she does not keep loose diamonds on site and therefore needed to go and pick up the diamond and could then do the repair in a day. It actually ended up being a week. That is not the bad part. After paying for and picking up my ring it was later realized that she had put a fake stone in my ring instead of the real diamond she showed me that she claimed to purchase. She keeps a faulty diamond tester so that it reads as if your diamond is real even though it may not be. When I brought it to her attention she stated that she would go and get another diamond and that I could pick it up and have it replaced at another jeweler. When I arrived to pick it up and after she had given me a receipt for the diamond that I should have got the first time she refused to open her door to me as if I was a violent criminal. She was unable to provide proof that she had ever really purchased the real stone and tried to show me old receipts that were dated way before I had ever stepped foot in her store. Remember I stated she says she never keeps diamonds in her store so there is no way she would have had a diamond for me prior to meeting me. She was unable to prove she ever bought the real diamond. She even tried to take my original receipt so that I wouldnt have proof that I actually paid for the replacement diamond that I never got.Never once did I show any signs of violence even though I was saddened by the circumstances. The end result was the police had to be called and now I have to sue her. She pretended to not speak English when the police arrived even though she spoke it very well with me as well as the with the customers that came in when I was first there. I wish she would have resolved this in an amicable way instead of basically re-enacting Oceans 8 and replacing real diamonds with fake ones. She runs a very shady business and all customers should take caution if she opens up another store. I am glad I didnt leave my ring while she so called went to pick up my replacement stone. She probably would have taken out all of my surrounding diamonds on my ring if she had more time. She actually did say she would keep the ring while she got the diamond but I refused and told her I would bring it back once she got the diamond. Now that I look back on everything that occurred I should have known to never do my repair with her. Lesson definitely learned. Rosa I hope you never do this to any one else and I am glad I did not do any other business with you like I intended when we first met. I will end on this note..... KARMA!
