Capt. Bob was very knowledgeable and kind and Blue Gill Bill was helpful and entertaining but our four and half hour excursion (supposed to be 6hrs) was cut short because of weather (which did not pan out) of which I understand. (I think he must have had an appointment for later) But this was a fishing expedition and only 4 guys actually touched fishing poles out of 11 of us. Many of us are experienced fishermen and there were many “don’t do this and don’t touch that” comments. I believe he thought we were just a bunch of novices going out to party on his boat; but that was not the case with us as we wanted to fish. Certainly there are times when the fish are also not biting but this was a very disappointing trip and experience for the money.

Tim & Pat were awesome fishing guides! They were super fun and let us reel all of our fish in. Tim even caught a few tiny birds that my daughter & I held and petted. :) We caught our limit and they filleted them for us to take home. Overall a fantastic experience!

We went out with Tim and Pat. Water was great and we quickly caught our limit. The boat was very spacious and even had AC! The crew took care of all the rigging and let us take care of all the catching. Overall a great morning on the water!

The most fun part of the trip was feeding the birds. Captain Bob did not give anyone in the group much freedom to fish and if there was one on the line he would interfere. Would not recommend this charter service.

Went out with Captain Bob and Greg on the Massive Confusion with eight guys. Capt. and Greg put us on fish, had a good sense of humor, and were more than accommodating making sure experienced and inexperienced guests were successful. Caught salmon and lake trout. A few lake trout reaching 17-18 pound range. Highly recommend if you are looking for a solid fishing experience in Chicago.

He turned the boat around early. Said there was a storm coming. There was no storm. He just wanted an easy paycheck. PS: the captain is not always right.

Didn’t get to do anything ourselves which was incredibly disappointing and we had to leave early cause there was a “storm” on which expectingly never happened, the experience was loathsome.

Tim and Greg were solid.Capt Bob was very accommodating for the last trip of the year before winterizing the Massive Confusion. The 8 of us had a great time and cooked up our catch right after the trip.We will 100% be looking for another trip first thing in the Spring!
