Beautiful location and building that fits right into the surrounding area. Apple being Apple everything is meticulously thought out and intentional in the store. The store is nice and spacious and plenty of room even when there are large crowds. And the beautiful glass walls let in plenty of light into Store. Must see if only for the architecture.

Resting tip: if you are tired from sight seeing this is a good place to stop and take a load off in a cool, comfortable place and see people spend $$$ 😎Our local Apple store is smaller so doesnt have everything in display and can try out, love to touch and see how the watches feel in my wrist before getting one that fits me perfectly.👍Love the design of the building and the interior space. Too bad theres no parking space nearby without costing a fortune.

Sleek. Very “Apple” in terms of minimalism. If you’re not familiar with the “culture,” you could get confused. The Genius Bar is only in name. I came to get a new left AirPod and I had to grab the attention of a random employee who pointed me to superior to set my appointment. After 20 min, it was smooth.

I made an appointment here after my phone got run over by a bus my first week in Chicago :/ The employees were soooo helpful and everyone I interacted with was so kind- it was the best and most seamless apple experience I have ever had (and I have had many)! I wanted to give a special shout-out to Samra for helping me out- she was super attentive and genuinely cared about helping me and finding me the best solution. Super appreciative of her work and grateful for her assistance! Would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a positive apple experience and premium help for their tech issues.

I like the open concept and I love the location just in the beautiful downtown of Chicago.

Bought an iPad Pro a little more than a year ago. Spent well over a $1,000 with accessories included. After very light use, the iPad stopped charging. The store staff said the charging socket broke down because the device is not meant to be used while charging and demanded $500 for a fix. No excuses, zero willingness to find a reasonable solution, obscene level of indifference. With all respect to the legacy of Steve Jobs, Apple has become an extortion machine with not even a hint of innovation. I was planning to buy two new iPhones and a next-gen large iMac, but I am taking my business elsewhere.

I wish I could give zero stars.Very unprofessioanl behavior when I brought in my defected silicone case and showed the agent that it had manufacture error. So upset with their rude behavior and unrelatable examples that why warranty doesn’t cover the issue. If warranty cannot cover manufacture error, so what is the point of paying such haigh price to get the case from Apple?

Apple in COVID times has taken service to a new height. Whereas most businesses are slow in response, Apple store is fully staffed, maintaining cleanliness and screening, and making it easy to do business.

One of the most beautiful apple stores I have ever been to! Right on the river and at the beginning of Magnificent Mile!

They can sell you a device right away, but if you actually need help fixing your old phone there is hours of wait to be taking care of. Apple needs separate locations of fixing their devices which users already purchased from them. In this particular store there is a guy, probably the supervisor, (who cares?!) who can’t explain himself better than just giving attitude and yelling to their customers. He is wearing black vest without having a badge presenting him. I am sure there is plenty of people walking to the store and complaining of something, you should be doing better of handling the clients. I definitely not recommending this location and the staff working there.

Very exasperating experience! I do not understand why it’s so difficult to replace a charging case. I waited 15 minutes only to be told the case wasn’t in stock! Dealing with customer support isn’t a pleasant experience either. My first real complaint about Apple…business is too segmented. Frustrating customer experience to constantly be passed around for assistance!

Pretty cool place. I dont even own an iphone but I just think its neat inside. Behind it is a river with a really cool picture location that you should use. Apple is still kinda stinky though so idk, you do you.

I bought a MacBook Pro in this store 2 years ago and the screen is presenting horizontal stripes all over and I can’t use it anymore. An Apple supervisor told me today that I “had bad luck” for this and I should pay $600 for a new one. A company that says that its products quality depends on customer luck, doesn’t deserve customers. Couldn’t have had a more disappointing and terrible experience after almost 20 years as Apple customer🥺😔😭

Absolutely awful. Ordered two apple watches in store. They didn’t have all the parts so I opted for delivery. The day of delivery (2 weeks later) one arrived, the other got canceled. I was told I should have received a call or an email regarding needing more information? After two hours on call with support I was told “it was 100% apples screw up, we never contacted you”. After more hours with support I was promised a free gift up to $125, in which the supervisor then said they could not do the override. I went to tmobile to buy the watch, I was able to get it that day.This happened early August but I was fuming and did not want to post a review with so much negative energy.

Apple Store Michigan Avenue is not just a store but also a work of art. The architecture is one of a kind as the store is enclosed with all glass walls that is see through. You cab admire the beautiful Chicago river while waiting inside. The roof itself is shaped like. Macbook cover which is super cool especially for Apple lovers. Theres also a huge screen that shows the latest apple technology and spacious seating.

Right next to the Michigan River, the architecture is awesome. It is like the Apple from the Fifth Avenue in New York on the outside, but it looks much more amazing due to its glass walls facing the river, and a giant screen that advertises Apple products. Jaw dropping view! Near the huge Trump Tower, you may see the boats going through the river. Courteous salesperson will guide your experience through the store. This is certainly the best Apple store I have ever been to and I strongly most certainly recommend it! Enjoy!

The store manager here refused to price match Apples own pricing on Amazon ($197 on Amazon vs $249 in store)...so I purchased a pair of AirPods Pro from Target down the street given Target was happy to match Apples online pricing.I was disappointed that this Apple store was so quick to turn my business away (asking Apple to price match themselves is a reasonable ask IMO).

Must be as good as any other Apple store. I did not visit it. Just parked near it for a little time.

Its a store, but you cannot walk in and buy anything -- you need an appointment. There arent any signs with this information anywhere in the store - you just have to wait until one of the bored associates deigns to grace you with their presence. You can look, but you cant buy. You can sign up for an appointment, but its an hour wait. You can attempt to order online, but after several menus and navigating an extremely verbose website, it seems this store is not taking orders. I gave up and ordered it from Amazon on my Android phone. Took me about 96 seconds and it will arrive at my door in 36 hours.

I had a very bad experience here. The service was terrible. I was picking up an IMac that was pre-ordered and we came to pick it up. Every worker was ignoring us while we needed help. I am super disappointed because we came out of the store without what we wanted. It wasn’t even busy. The purchase wasn’t going through and no one could help us. Really bad service.

Dont go here if you actually plan on buying stuff. Will waste hours waiting for sales staff. Good for checking out different models only. Rude staff.

I love coming to this store. Sometimes I just come in here to browse around and see whats new! When you first walk in, you dont even feel like youre in a store. The huge glass windows allow you to see right out to the river and Michigan Avenue- its quite a unique experience. Once you get downstairs, the Geniuses are there to greet you. Theyll ask about the reason for your visit and put you in the queue for Genius help. The geniuses are all very capable and pleasant to work with- Ive never walked away feeling unsatisfied. Keep up the good work Michigan Ave Apple!

I made an appointment with the Genius Bar for a broken phone. Arrived 5 minutes early and was directed to sit at one of the repair tables. 45 minutes later I hadnt been seen by one of the technicians, hadnt received a schedule update, and was ignored by the sales staff that were standing nearby. Whats the point in making an appointment? Apple is a trillion dollar company, but they cant let me know theyre running behind schedule?

Typical Apple Store. Crowded and staff are helpful. Just in Chicago tax is a bit higher and they dont give tax free (VAT Refund) invoice to foreigner tourists because of State laws.

Stopped by the store and it is nice. Ample seating and they had someone show DJ on Apple. As for the service, someone did ask if I needed help but I was just looking around. They do offer plenty of products including beats and other speakers and headphones.

Nice place to visit. It doesn’t feel like a store. The architecture is amazing and edgy and has a nice view of the river with downtown Chicago. There were many gadgets you can tryout and the staff was super friendly and informative. Overall it’s good place to visit but not so good for purchasing ykwim

Worst Apple store Ive ever visited. Had way to many terrible experiences here. The first was had an appointment to pick up a watch band. Which was a quick two minute process they wouldnt let my fiancé come in to the store because she didnt have an appointment when I was literally running down the stairs and then coming back up. The latest was that me and my finance went in one revolving door. The security guy quickly ran to us and told us we needed to exit and enter in the door directly beside it instead. Noted theres not any signs outside the store stating whether each was an exit or entrance. Theyre both revolving doors. Thought he was joking but he was dead serious. Will never attempt to come here again.

Loved this store. It is absolutely beautiful and couldn’t be in a better spot. The staff was so friendly and informative. So glad I stopped in to visit this modern wonder of a building and it’s awesome staff.

Fast and friendly service. I purchased an item online and I was able to pick it up within 45 minutes from when I placed the order. I recommend taking someone with you if you drive so that one of you can wait in the vehicle while the other picks up the item. There is a large turnaround next to the entrance which makes it very convenient. It didnt take me more than 5 minutes once I arrived.

This was a cool deal. It has to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing apple stores I’ve ever seen. The way it fits right into the steps is awesome. There’s plenty of sales floor and when we were there it didn’t seem as if anyone had any kind of wait time at all.

I arrived early downtown and figured I’d stop by the apple store to get a watch I’ve been wanting. She quoted me a 45 minute wait! What in the world! Even people who had an appointment were told they’d have to wait a long time. I get purchasing a computer or phone is a lot more involved but there’s no reason for this, especially for purchases that don’t require as much attention. Save your time and order online.

I had to bring in my grandmothers phone because she somehow managed to lock herself out of it to the point I couldnt do anything with it anymore. Patrick assisted me right away, cleaned my phone and checked out a small issue I was having with my own phone while I was waiting for hers to do whatever it needed to. I was in and out pretty quickly, and had nothing bad to say.

If you just need to stop in and buy an Apple device this is a great store, if you want a demonstration of the capabilities of their devices, the staff is powerless to load the iOS app you want to try out. Their devices are increasing in capabilities and have great convergent tech, but they cant demonstrate it.

Good location if youre downtown. Bunch of professed geeks cooing over an old ipod I had that I never used. Apple is real pricey, and it may be better for some things, but Im not convinced by the mp3 player. Anyway, I went for the Mucca Pazza concert, not to buy anything, and, of course, the show was 200% entertaining. You can believe me when I say that, too.

Beautiful location! What a wonderful space to visit. If you’re traveling to Chicago and looking for some awesome architecture to see, this should definitely be on the list. As far as the Apple store itself, the people there are wonderful. Very helpful, but because it’s so busy it’s hard to know where the wait lines are. And it’s unclear if you need to wait. It’s a little bit confusing because there’s no signage marking where to go once you get there based on what you’re there for.

This is one of the most unique locations of Apple in the United States. They moved it from its previous location close to the Hancock Tower to the Chicago River location.The Views are stellar here..If you are visiting Chicago and you have some time to kill, you can stop by and see the latest updates from Apple.They made A cool tiny stadium style seats where you can sit and watch whatever they’re displaying for that day on a big screen and you can enjoy watching the Chicago River.Staff were OK.I bought my AirPods from here for total of $180.Apple is so expensive but what can you do.

First and foremost Im an Android guy, but I can respect the Apple Store design and layout. Not necessarily the phone or its operating system but this particular store is quite impressive as Ive never seen anything like it. From my observation the service was Superior for my friend and was in and out very quickly. On second thought, I dont even think Ive ever seen an Android store?

Newly open and relocated from North Michigan. This store is definitely a must-see and must-visit if you are visiting downtown Chicago! It faces the Chicago Riverwalk where the scenery is amazing. Plus, Apple has this giant 4K megascreen display panel thats one of its kind.

Extremely friendly customer service representatives. I switched over to iPhone OS to Android, and the salesperson was truly wonderful getting my online order. Outside security isnt as Cheerful or that welcoming, Lol. But once I got inside, it was a very pleasant experience. Definitely a 5 star experience that is definitely going to make me go back.

Made appointment. Spent over 2 hours at store waiting for specialist to help register this severely dangerous product defect with mac battery. They kept skipping us. When I kindly explained to host we just want to know if we can be compensated for new battery due to this defective and explosive one, as well as safely recycle this hazardous one- I received eye rolling and was told to wait for specialist again. After pure frustration in wait and lack of action to ensure this defect doesnt harm others, we left store and went to closest electronics store. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! Staff was very apologetic we had this battery problem and cautiously handled bad battery, even stating to us they are thankful we brought it to them so it can be handled with great care and urgency. Very disappointed with Apples lack of care for people and safety. I have made purchases from the store many times in past. I wont be spending my dollars at locations that dont care for consumers safety.

Great covid precautions, but the wait can be long.My phone had a hardware issue and I made a walk-in genius bar appointment at the store. It was a 2 hour wait, but I thought it was better than waiting for another week for the next available spot online.So I managed to kill 2 hours and came back to the store when I received a text message notice that my spot was almost ready. The staff told me I had to wait for another message to tell me my spot “IS ready”. So after another 10mins, they finally checked me in. This was not the end of the wait. You still had to wait in line to get in the store. I couldn’t see the genius until 30mins after my appointment time. The genius was very friendly and knowledgeable though and he helped me solve the issue quickly.There could be some better management of the wait. If the geniuses are swamped with work, set some buffer time throughout the day so if some cases run later than planned, the rest of the schedule won’t be ruined. 10-15mins wait is understandable, but 30mins was too much.

I went to the apple store and they said that my phone is dead. They just wanted me to buy a new iphone. I exited from the Apple store and arrived at nearby repair shop. Those guys fixed my iphone in 20 mins.

Busy location and staff can be a little intense. I still love this location next to the river, social distancing is super great here but the wait time varies, waited 30 additional minutes from my original scheduled time for the Genius Bar.If you are looking for a quick buy I recommend this location, other than getting something fixed Lincoln Park location is amazing.

The customer service is terrible. My grandfather went to this store to receive help with his MacBook Pro and iPhone. The Genius Bar employees did the bare minimum to help him. They sent him home with only half of his issue fixed and expected him to do the rest on his own. I thought they would’ve been more helpful and patience because he’s older and not tech savvy, but of course not. I’m honestly disappointed and disgusted in the service he received. SHAME ON YOU TIM!
