Outstanding help here from the staff. They answered all of my questions with a smile and enthusiasm. This store is leaps and bounds better than Best Buy. My recent visit to Best Buy I left feeling lost and frustrated. I went in to make a purchase and left deciding to just forget about it. However, visiting this Apple store was the opposite. I left well armed with useful info and confident in my purchase options. Definitely will return. This place is a breath of fresh air. Staff competence, attitude and actionable info most of all makes all the difference!

Just walked out the store for a pick up on a iPhone 13 max. Pre ordered the phone was just going in for a walk in and pick up. The girl asked me to open the phone I said no because I have the kit at home to activate it myself. She literally activated the phone after I told her not to TWICE!!!! Now I have to drive 2 hours away without no signal in my iPhone because the dumb as deactivated my phone!! Horrible service no one answers!!

I don’t complain about things but this place deserves this. Ordered 2 chargers over the phone, paid for them, asked how does in store pick up work and was told just give them your order number. Cool. Went to the store gave my Order number was told to wait, wait I did. 30 min 40 min 1h 30 min later my order was ready. Or was it? Nope it wasn’t. I was told that even tho they show 3 chargers in stock they have 0 so I’m sorry but we can’t help you. Cancel my order? No we can’t. You can buy the 35$ ones if you want chargers. Like seriously what is the deal there? Nobody cares about that store or what? I called to cancel my order and and got someone at the store and was told to just go to target and buy it from there. At this point it’s not about the chargers no more, it’s the principle. So if you want to be messed with and you feel that your day needs to be ruined go to this location. You’ll achieve at least one thing. Jonathan was the sales person and manager was god knows his name.

I scheduled an appointment a day before showing up. I was early so I grabbed a Kiwi Starfruit lemonade, stood outside and enjoyed the view and my drink and then I went in. By the time this happened, I was next in line. They took my name and someone ushered me to a table. I waited 5 minutes tops. Then, a female agent escorted me to a different table and took my case. Lastly, she scheduled a call back appointment to further assist me.I gotta say that it was somewhat crowded but there was a steady flow of customers being helped. Yet, it needs windows for ventilation; specially during the current pandemic.I didnt see a bathroom for customers and that is a must in my opinion.

Apple product are truly amazing, but Apple store service are extremely opposite, all store employees have a sense of pride that they work for the most valuable company, therefore they are privileged to be prejudice towards customers, they won’t be bothered by all your complaints or bad reviews as customer doesn’t have betterchoice other than Apple products, they can openly encourage you to spend more money buying new products rather then being capable to fix minor problem on something that you already spent on, on top it all, you can’t actually get your frustration express to any management level, and hope for improvements, as store employees are all you can interact with.You will definitely getting a email for service rating from store if someone assured they did a good job, but you may not getting any email if someone knows they preformed bad, and what’s the point of rating these employees, as management should realized these hires are still in a category of serving people, not a bunch of entitled, arrogant being think they are better than working in other retail store.

I have not bought a phone since 2016 my iphone 6 lasted me that long before giving out yesterday so I decided to go back with them. I had to wait which is fine they are busy I get it and the guy at the door was nice at directing flow. My sales person was terrible. He asked me “do you know what you want?” I didn’t and he told me I had been waiting all that time I should have had enough time to figure out what I wanted. He could not tell me anything about the products. Me ease dropping on another customer is what helped me make a decision. I wanted to buy accessories for the phone too but the sales person told me they only carry accessories for the latest phone (something he never bothered to show me or mention). I was so fed up I decided to buy all that else where. Then they passed me over to someone to help me set up and she could care less about me because another customer had bought two phones and was deemed more important. She took liberties with all my thing pulling off the plastic before I knew what was going on and picking up my old phone without permission. She almost cleared it too before I stopped her and let her know I was keeping it. The new phone was also dead right off the bat, and she thought I was an idiot for not being able to turn it on. She threw me a charger that was not compatible with the phone and went to help other customers. It was terrible and I almost cried.

I bought my new iPhone in this shop last week. I wanted to trade in my old one and it was valued $ 70. The clerk to make sure that I could transfer all the data from one phone to another suggested me to wait to do the trade and just bring back home both the telephones, transfer all the data and apps in the new phone, and then come back with the old one for the trade in. So I did it and today, after five days, I came back to the store but with extreme surprise, another clerk valued my old phone to only $45. When I bought the new iPhone I wanted to trade in my phone immediately but the clerk insisted to wait and said that I had two weeks of time to trade it in. This is very similar to a fraud. It’s not about the money but it’s about the unfairness. So I decided to keep my old IPhone… and next time I will need to buy a new telephone for sure I will not buy Apple again.Worst customer service

We were try to buy 3 phone(12 pro max) and Apple Watch a guy who with glasses and orange/yellow beard was different kind of person. We asked for phone he said we don’t have it (lied). Then we asked another person who said he is from Egypt his answer was”be patient”. the person we asked for the third time gave us the correct information and gave us the phones.

Stephanie was knowledgeable with what we needed done with our phone and got us all switched over. The store is clean and organized. We did make an appointment and were seen quickly. There didnt seem to be any issues with having something in stock or not. They do have all customers wearing masks even though a lot of places are not requiring them for vaccinated customers.

Definitely a long wait (be prepared to wait 40min+) for a Genius Bar reservation on a weekday. But they were very professional and helpful. Took my AirPods in for diagnostics and got them replaced under warranty.

I wish I could give them no stars if possible. Literally the worst experience. Purchased a watch three months ago and it had failures and issue ever since. After waiting for 4.5 hours, a clerk took 5 mins to run a diagnostics and reported there were numerous sensor failures. Rather than replace it, the Store Leader, Dave Molenda, elected to send the watch for repair rather than replace it.Terrible concern for the customer. Knowing damn well he wouldn’t apply the same policy to “every” customer with similar issues. Such a waste. Avoid this Apple store at all costs8/28 - About 10 days after posting my post above, I still don’t have a replacement watch. Such a mess.

If you want to go to a service center where you will be denied help without an appointment when a lot of employees are standing around either talking to each other or double/trippling up on their help of one customers problem, go here. Theyll be sure to quickly help you buy a new phone, but ask for help on your old one and youre out of luck. No interest in owning an apple product after this interaction.

Terrible customer service. Not helpful at all, decided to give 2 stars for the reason that ONE of the employees ANDREW was really helpful and saved my day after having a bad encounter with another employee. One simple pick up took more than 1 hr, having to talk to costumer service over the phone 3 different times. Everyone seem to be lost, don’t know how to do their job.

First of all my airpods pro started to be extremely noisy, making cracking sounds, overal having extremely distorted sound… it was going worse and worse over last year (I bought them about 1.5 years ago) I did some research and I found an article on Apple website that some airpods pro were manufactured defective (those produced before Oct 2020 - which are in this case mine) I called Apple Support … the advisor told me that mine are out of warranty and they can’t help me at all… (despite their website saying that such defective one have extended warranty (to 2 years) and might be replaced or at least checked by Apple Geniush bar at Apple Store)… This guy didn’t bother to give me such info and literally hang up on me. I called again and one nice lady told me she’s going to schedule a visit at Geniush Bar at Lincoln Square location where I am now… While the Apple Customer Support turned out to be awful at first attempt… second tech adviser was cool nice helpful and great… Now they too my airpods and they are chrcking them in the store.. so I will finish the review reporting about the outcome - I strongly believe I did nothing wrong and if they’ve manufactured a defective product I should be eligible for a replacement… ok … waiting now!!! 😅 ….aaaanddd… those failed the test and now they’ve replaced them for a new ones!!! YAY!

Really hit or miss, but somehow I got this extremely rude kid (I’m saying kid but he was in his 20s), Jacob who was rude, rushed me, wouldn’t give me his name and you can tell he hated being there. I get it bro but since Apple is paying your salary, might as well be decent (if you can’t be nice) with paying customers! Super disappointed, kinda ruined my day!!

Very bad experience with Apple Store at that location. I was having issue with the keyboard quality with my brand new MacBook Pro. I intentionally avoided this store for numerous reasons, so I dropped it off at Apple Northbrook Store for repair. Repair was fast enough, but when I received the computer back, the key board was replaced with a brand new FOREIGN LANGUAGE keyboard....Long story short, the online support agent referenced me to stop by at my nearest store to see if I can get in and have it dropped off for repair. I went there, waited for an available agent, the agent/advisor told me I have to wait 2.5 hrs because its not an emergency and I cant just drop it off, lol. Then she suggested to have phone support to call me, then send me away. This is your (Apple) fault...so dont waste my time on having it done right, really disappointed in their customer service, really bad for a world top tier company that proud of their customer support.

Scheduled my Genius Bar appointment a week in advance. I arrive at my appointment on time only for them to have me sit outside for 45 minutes in 14 degree weather. I currently own 5 apple devices. These will be the last apple devices I own given their inability to handle any type of customer service.

Normally I hate dealing with any form of apple support or genius bar but the people over at Apple Lincoln Park have provided probably my only good experience an an Apple store. Everyone was lovely and helpful, mindful of covid, and listened to all my concerns. Would definitely recommend this store over the others in Chicago!

Most of my Apple service experience have been fair and good, with the exception of this Lincoln Park Apple Store Genius Bar location. I am giving 1 star because after having to wait months to get an available appointment to get my air pods fixed/replaced under a existing apple quality program I finally got in there. The person that checked me in was nice and told me to come back in 30 minutes to give them time to run a test on the hardware. Came back 30 minutes later and had to wait another 15 minutes before they ended up telling me they could not run the diagnostics on my devises and therefore they could not help me. Manager told me again they can’t do anything for me and told me to call Apple service. With my drive time there and home it was a solid waste of 2 hours of my time and basically they refused to actually do their job at looking into this particular Quality issue and resolve my problem with a hardware model directly associated with said issue. I left the store and called Apple support and after 15 minutes they had a replacement devises being sent to my home. Why the in store location can’t do this same thing as the phone tech is frustrating. Lincoln Park Genius Bar Manager- do your job and learn your companies policies and quality program train all your techs on these, so you don’t waste more of your customers valuable time

Had a 4:15 appointment, arrived for it at 4:05. At 4:45 I was still waiting outside in the rain, as people with 3:30 appointments were walking up (an hour late) and getting served and let into the store immediately.I was finally able to see an associate at 5:45. During the 90 minutes between my appointment and when I was helped, at least a dozen people who came late for there appointment had been served and left.I understand with apples covid-19 procedure appointments are needed. Except when persons who are an hour late can walk in and get helped immediately while those of us who arrived on time are made to wait for over an hour in a crowded line makes me seriously wonder if they understthe concept of schedule appointments.

First I came in to get a replacement airpod, then I asked how much it would be to fix the screen, because I signed up for apple care+ when i got my phone...THROUGH MY DEVICE. He looked like he was looking through my apple and said I can give you a new device if the back is broken. Im like well mine isnt. He was like go across the street and break it and then bring it back...so i did. Long story short, did it, then he claimed i didnt have apple care + then i called apple and they couldnt help so I ended up dropping a whole $800 something for a new phone that I previously didnt need, and didnt want so I could communicate with my work colleges. While he looked around nervously, then ran to lunch. I know this wont do much for apple but you all really need to vet the people you hire. Because he clearly didnt have the customers best interests at heart and only wanted a sale under his belt. I wish him nothing but the worst.

This store has crazy taxes. Be aware when you buy online and picking up in the store. If I would send it to my home address or ups point I would pay $43. 96 less in taxes. It was very easy to pick up, but for return I was told that they don’t have time slots available.

Despite the store being busy, they were very friendly, personable, and both took time to fully understand my shopping needs. I went to this location in 2020 and was told that due to a recall, they would fit my laptop keyboard for free. I needed my laptop (it still worked just the space bar popped off) to submit assignments so I was told that I could bring my laptop in after the semester ended. Shortly after my visit, the pandemic caused everything to shut down. When everything opened up and I felt comfortable leaving my home, I came back to this location in January 2021 and thought that due to a worldwide pandemic, my keyboard would still get fixed as promised. I was told that because the recall was only for 4 years, it would cost 478$. I guess an Apple recall deadline trumps a worldwide pandemic.

A cell phone repair place cheated me on a new battery for my iPhone 7. So I asked Apple to replace the battery, and give me my old battery back, so I could dispute the charge with the repair place. The clerk refused service. The managers denied service too. They said I cant get my old battery back. Total pains in the you-know-whatnots. Here is the old battery that Apple refused to give back. They wasted two days of my life with their petty nonsense.

I completely understand being busy for the holidays and this being an important time for businesses to close sales. However I recently purchased a new phone (which was easy enough to pick up) but was told that I had to bring my old phone back to trade in even though the device was right there. I explained to the rep that I was ready to completely wipe the device and do it right then and there. They explained that I had to step out because it would take 15+ mins, but I would be able to skip the line when it was done.Being a understanding person I left to complete phone wipe and tried to go back to finish the upgrade. The manager on duty stated that they needed to catch up with their express line because they were behind. I waited over 30 mins to try and complete my trade in, eventually having to leave because it was taking so long. This made the whole experience horrible and not what I would expect from a company that supposedly provides a premium experience. I went back a few days later. Explained the whole situation, waited in line again to eventually return the old phone.In my opinion, this could have been handled differently, maybe providing a check in window again for the trade in. Or the employee allowing the few moments it took to wipe a device to hand in then and there. This shouldn’t have been such a pain for a simple task.

Absolutely terrible experience! I have spent the last 2h trying to get in touch with this store and follow up on my repair. They left me a VM in the morning and it is impossible to get in touch. All calls are rerouted to external support who cannot even look up my case ID and provide me with an update. On my third call, the agent promised to transfer me to the store and hang up. This is absolutely outrageous! I have never had such difficulties with Apple. It is such a shame! And yes, I am still hanging on the line with no updates or information on my case or laptop.

I went to Apple Store with an iphone that was still working (getting calls, text messages, etc.) but the screen was not working because of water damage. After checking my phone, they said they won’t replace the screen and they can’t help me with saving 3 years of photos and memories on my phone. Apple refused their help when I needed it the most because probably replacing a screen was not profitable for them. This was the moment I decided that this was the last time I visit an Apple Store and hopefully the last time I have to rely on an iphone. I left Apple Store desperate and terrified with the idea of losing so many photos and family memories. After some research, I found Direct Phone Fix at 1956 N Milwaukee Ave, and Zi replaced my phone screen in almost less than 30 minutes, it works now without any issues. I have my photos back, and yes now I am now having backups... I still think Apple products are high quality but I refuse to buy again from a company with such bad after sale support. They treat consumers nothing but just like cash cows. And I am buying a rugged Android phone as my next phone, a real waterproof phone. Maybe a Cat s62. We ll see.

AppleCare failed me, I feel like Ive been robbed... What did I pay for? The in store staff where professional and provided great customer service with the limited options available. My complaint is in response to the repair service options. I am a self employed professional and need my laptop everyday. When my windows laptop broke I went out same day and purchased an M1 MacBook Pro. I wanted to take it in to the Apple store for a repair and they said even if they repair it in store it would be 5-7 days before I get my laptop back. That was the in store repair option, not even shipping it out! This is not an acceptable solution for a small business. They could not even offer me a loaner unless I paid a $500 yearly subscription. The only other solution was for me to buy another laptop and return it when the other one arrives (Their recommendation not mine). Again this is a horrible solution, if something goes wrong and the laptop gets damaged I cant return it and Im out that money. Apple, you can do better than this. I switched to Apple from windows two months ago because your support is supposed to be the best and your computers are the most efficient. I have been completely let down and I waisted money on an AppleCare plan that is basically useless for my needs because the repair services are not efficient enough for emergency repairs with a quick turn around. The support staff couldnt even schedule it in a way that could limit my number of days without a computer to a more reasonable time frame, I dont see how this is professional. I once had to bring in my iPhone for a repair and it was finished within an hour. This is what inspired me to switch to Apple for my computer needs in the first place. Apple you fell off you no longer provide the support service that you promise. Did you ever actually? I really dont know since I just switched to your product line. Do I need to cancel the rest of my orders?

Only to be told you have to make an appointment so I make the call and was told They couldnt give me a appointment because this day has no openings to call back the next day maybe than I could get one and the whole time I m standing outside the store telling my problem for the second time for you have to speak to security first on the outside where there a line. And I live on the South side coming from T-Mobile on 79 the street who sent me there. I never spend $1100 on a iPhone from Apple again.

I had at first went to the Michigan Ave location and though they helped me troubleshoot with no real solution in conclusion. So I left the store completely discouraged in apple products if not purchased directly on site.So I gave it one more chance at the North Ave location. It was a blaring contrast. I was greeted by friendly faces and was promptly assisted and told that they could of course help. They actually listened to the issue I was having and got it settled right away! Jonas was the genius that helped me and he was so considerate, smart, and kind. If I have any other apple needs I’ll only be going to this location! 💕

Okay, for starters, you only get in the store if you make an appointment well ahead of time.The weather was lousy - drizzle & flurries- and still had to stand outside behind 15 or 20 people in order to get to the front door.After standing for 30 minutes, a sales person in the store told me they didnt have the product I was supposed to pick up. Not for me but for a friend.They would email me later in the day to say what time the phone was ready to be picked up.Is that great service or what?The problem is, my aunt had the very same experience at the Michigan Ave. store about two months ago.

Longer post for me. Google read this we need a store being an Android user. I love apple stores. I love they have people to help. They let me charge my pixel Android phone. Verizon will not let u ever charge a phone or look at items ever. Google needs a store.

Came in looking to get a new laptop immediately. Stood at the laptop section for a good 20 minutes checking out the options and literally no one came to help. Spent the next 10 minutes attempting to get the attention of a couple of employees, but were just waved at or ignored. Walked out empty handed, good job Apple.

It feels negative 20 but nobody cares how cold is. i purchased iphone but this customer service horrible. there are almost 16 people outside. we are all freezing. why apple employees not bringing my phone to me or why they dont use outside heater here? they close the doors because of covid but this cold dangerous than covid. i can get flue here very easy, i would give them -100 star one is too much...

I read that Apple Lincoln Park was vandalized and looted while violence ensued in 2020.A ton of cell phone stores across the nation were looted as a reaction to social injustices. What did cell phone stores ever do wrong? What was the real motivation of each individual who participated in that violence? Selfish.I am sorry that happened to your store.Peace on earth

This place is awful. Disrespectful for customers, customer service is not organized. The way how they treat you it’s terrible, cause their acting ridiculous. You can’t even buy charger, you have to be hold 30 min. In line, and even then they accept people who arrived after you!!

Dont use this location!!!! Apple Store Lincoln Park ruined my airpods then refused to replace them.My airpods microphone went out on me at the start of the pandemic (within 1 year of purchase). By time I made an appointment and came in to this location several months later, the store was bustling packed and very very loud. I explained to the tech that the microphone wasnt working on them so he proceeded to use a sticky putting-like substance to clean the bottom of them. This ended up leaving a fair amount of the putty behind, effectively making the problem worse and covering the metal grate at the bottom of the microphone. He then did a test call and had me use the airpods to answer his call as he stepped a few feet away in the store. When I answered his call, I said some phrases and he insisted he could hear me and that there was nothing wrong with my microphone but also was unable to tell me any of the phrases I said (making it very very clear the microphone wasnt actually functioning). He was so eager to push me out the door and refused to do anything to fix the broken microphone that he now left putty on the bottom of. Frustrated, I asked if the manager could address the issue, but the manager refused to even look at the airpods because I had now owned them for over a year and I didnt make an online ticket about the issue while I was waiting for a safe time to bring them into the store (re: pandemic). Just absolutely awful and useless customer service. On my walk back to my car, I called a friend to see if the microphone was working as the technician said. My friend couldnt hear anything, confirming what I already knew -- that the tech was blatantly lying. With the putty now stuck on the bottom, the airpods wont even charge anymore, turning the issue from a non functioning microphone into an entirely nonfuctioning headset all together. I cam in for support and apple completely ruined my airpods and said basically said tough luck. Ive been to plenty of apple stores and never experienced such horrible service as the Lincoln Park location. Will never bring my products there again. Its worth the drive to avoid this location!!

2 hour wait in the heat outdoors for an appointment since their website is down and no one will pick up the customer service line. I get inside and they’re unable to communicate with Verizon, so I need to come back on another day. Which one? They’re not sure. The customer service of this company has consistently declined with the rise in their stock price.

I have typically had a great experience with apple over the past decade. However, when I went to this particular apple store recently, I was greeted at the door by Dan who was very impolite. I was taken back by the rudeness of a customer service rep. I will not be returning to this store for my future apple needs.
