Sharon was incredibly helpful and friendly! My friend and I met in Chicago to explore this beautiful city for the first time and Sharon set us up with bikes/helmets and maps of several route options. We had a lovely day biking around different neighborhoods and along the lake. Sharon was accommodating and kind. Renting for her bike shop (instead of a city bike share) meant we were fitted to our bikes, had appropriate helmets, and got great advice on best ways to explore. Highly recommend!

I came to this bike shop with my parents after my mom bought an e-bike. My mom had such a great experience that both my dad and I wanted to buy a bike there too to support them. We all came in and were there for hours as they let me try a one speed in the back alley and my dad try a couple different e-bikes. They were extremely patient and helpful and explained everything to us. Assisted with all of our questions. Overall extremely positive experience. A Great small business to support!

I came in to the shop with a problem with my tire and Sharon was so quick and kind to fix my tire. She didnt charge me anything because the fix was so obvious and easy for her. Even when I suggested that I wanted to give her money. If your bike needs work I cant possibly recommend this shop more!

I initially came in to have the brakes adjusted on a new bike I impulsively bought from Target, only to find out it was put together incorrectly (I got what I paid for..). I really appreciated the honest feedback, and ended up returning the bike. Then, I decided to bring in a bike that hadn’t been used in years for a complete tune up and had the tires looked at. I am more than pleased with how the bike turned out! It was repaired faster than expected, and am very excited to have a working bike again!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED bike shop!!I found this shop by happenstance because I was looking for a certain brand for my first e-bike. I live in a northern Chicago suburb and this store is in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. It is owned by a very knowledgeable woman who is well-versed in everything “bikes”. Her name is Sharon and she is very sweet and beyond helpful. Her husband and her were both working when we walked in on a Saturday late afternoon. They were both very nice and answered all of our questions; they let me test ride several bikes around neighborhood (and in the alley behind the store), and exhibited a high degree of patience with me. I made the purchase of a bike that very day as well as all the necessities that go along with it. Sharon got my bike helmet all set up to fit my head, and the both of them got the handlebars & seat set up to meet my individual needs. We were given a tutorial about the features of the bike, lock, etc. They stayed an hour past closing time to make sure everything needed was taken care of, including helping us load the new bike into the back of our SUV! It was well worth the 30 mile trip into the city to deal with such lovely people who I am so happy to give my business to. Super place! Thank you kindly for everything.

If I could give more than five stars, I would.Two years ago, when I brought my bike for the first time to get some fixes, it was already a great experience.I never want to leave a review with 1-time experience. I believe that genuine service is something that you can experience every time, not just because it is new and people need to be nice to grow their new business.Two years later, I am here, writing a review.While you can also find others shops around that give similar service, this place outstands them all. Sharon provides quality service, honest prices, and delivers on time and expectations.She has a passion for her job and to make others appreciate the joy of biking.Sometimes I like to stop by to say hi. We need more local shops like hers!

I was visiting from out of town and this shop was very accommodating and friendly. I got my bike tuned up quickly for a great price!

Great experience taking my bike here for a seasonal tune-up. They took great care in fixing my bike and put in extra effort to send me pics of an issue with the cabling which they also took care of. My bike hasn’t rode this smooth in years.

Sharon put new brake levers on my bike and made some adjustments for me. She is very knowledgeable and service was quick!

Highly recommended shop. Ive been a resident of Wicker Park for 20 years, and this is my first time visiting the shop. My 10-year old bike was really wearing down from use, needed a serious tune-up and possibly parts replacement. The owner was extremely friendly and patient, and spent a couple of days carefully finding everything wrong with the bike -- the exact kind of thoroughness I was hoping for. :-) In the end, besides a typical tune-up, my whole chain and and rear cassette got replaced. The owner texted me details as the investigation was ongoing, with clear communications all the way through. The bike now rides like brand new!

Service here is absolutely fantastic. Sharon, the owner, is very welcoming and sweet. She really goes above and beyond. She is very knowledgeable, informative and quick! Prices are very fair. Great boutique shop — nice selection of accessories! They have bikes to BUY as well as rent. I had such a hard time finding a bike to give for Christmas — glad they have them! Also, I was pleased to see they have electric bikes — I have a couple of friends who will definitely want to check those out. Easy to get to and easy parking out front when I picked up my new bikes!

I just got the courage to cycle in the city recently and saw a group cycle event that went to a local brewery from this store. I decided to join and it was a great experience! The owner took us, she’s really patient and a great cycling leader. Her store didn’t have bikes for sale but it had all the other necessities like lights, bags, clothes, bolts, racks, etc.Oh I forgot! They offer bike rentals!!

I have a really finicky old bike and the owners have been so helpful and friendly every time Ive come in with a bike issue. I really appreciate that Sharon has always taken the time to chat me up and demonstrate some basic bike maintenance while she works on my bike! Had my bike serviced for an annual tune up that was pretty overdue. It came back super clean and in great condition for the year. She did a great job keeping me informed about what needed work while fostering a welcoming conversation that you sometimes dont find in bike shops.

My car broke down and I needed to get my bike fixed ASAP so I could have some mobility. I called Earth Rider, and in minutes they had a quote for the parts I needed, and the service fee as well. Sharon was so kind and helpful when I brought in my hybrid bike that was sitting untouched in a garage for years. It didnt feel quite steady while riding, so it got the tune up it needed. The bike rides like new and looks brand new, too. Id highly recommend visiting Sharon for all of your cycling needs.

Sharon is great! She is patient and knowledgeable. I have been to Earth Rider twice. Once for a tube replacement, and most recently for new tires and a tune up. She did a great job and the bike rides perfectly!

Sharon went above and beyond helping my boyfriend and I with our bike issues-- we had a sudden flat tire that she fixed very quickly, and when we came back to pick up our bikes she had even put air in the tires of our second bike upon noticing that they could use it. The prices are very reasonable, Sharon is clearly incredibly knowledgeable, and it is simple enjoyable to be in this store because of how kind and welcoming Sharon is. We will not be taking out bikes anywhere else!

My mask fell off and got caught in my bike chain bending my derailleur #Covid Problems. Earth Rider fixed the bent parts and tuned up my bike up incredibly quick and for an affordable price. This was after receiving a ridiculous quote from a nearby shop insisting I replace all the parts. Thanks for the great service!

Earth Rider Cycling , Great liitle Bike shop. Had my Bike tuned up there, Sharon did a fantastic job on the gears. My bike has never shifted so smoothly , I wil go back there.

Replacement tires? Earth Rider made it easy when I was in for a tune-up. They mentioned the odd wheel size on my old Cross Bike but that didnt hit home until I needed to find a tube. After a lot of chasing around and misfires on the Web I learned my lesson: Ill go straight back to Earth Rider next time.

I needed my handlebars replaced and re-taped, and tried this shop because it had availability. They did a great job, were very friendly, and did the work much faster than I expected.

This place is so great!!

Cute shop, fair prices, but getting a tire changed took a long time. I was also chastised for a number of things while waiting. As other people came in the shop, the bike tech stopped working on my tire to attend to them, which took about an additional 15 minutes. She did get the job done, but it was not a positive experience. Unfortunately I wont be going back.

This is the very definition of a friendly neighborhood bike shop. Helmed by Sharon, the knowledgeable owner, who has a selection of nice bikes, relevant parts and accessories, services bikes, rents bikes--including e-bikes--and organizes rides to local breweries. Rented a road bike here. The staff was really friendly, I was able to get changed there and leave my bag in their office while I was on my ride. Would absolutely rent from here again

Great little shope. The accessory selection has a lot of budget focues items and lots of womens gear. The owner is very nice.
