Took my car to get fixed to pass emissions and look at couple other things. They were great at giving me updates and walking me through everything they did when I went to pick it up. I highly recommend!It was a little hard to find though using Google Maps, it is tucked away under the train, it is not on Irving you have to go down the little alley south of Irving to get to.

When you find a mechanic that is professional, courteous, on-time, considerate, and reasonably priced, the temptation is to keep it to yourself. Well, Im telling you I will never go anywhere but Nals and I have used them for a decade.Would your mechanic try to diagnose your issue over the phone (if appropriate, of course) saving you time and money at their own expense? Nals has done that for me.I have never had a repair done by them become a re-occurring issue which to me says that they diagnosed the issue correctly and did the work properly the first time. What more can you ask? Oh, right. They are SO NICE too!For as long as I own a car, I will bring it to Nals when it needs work. They have made me a customer for life.

Nals truly is a hidden gem. You may not know it is behind the Irving Park brown line, but its an amazing place. Timely service and fair prices. I never leave Nas feeling ripped off or talked down to. Great staff.

I have been a client of Al (the owner) for many years. He and his mechanics provide excellent service and they are trustworthy. Al was available by phone when I was out of state and needed his opinion. On one occasion when I was stranded with perishable food, he actually gave me a ride to my home! Ive recommended him to many people.

Called a few other places when I wanted to repair my car. This was the best option. They fixed my car in a timely manner, wasnt expensive, they were all very friendly, informative, and respectful. Couldnt reccomend enough.

This place was amazing. I have a 2008 subaru imprezza that was having multiple issues that seemed very difficult to diagnose. The car was making whining noises on startup and grinding noises at various speeds. Not only were they able to diagnose the issue but the car now runs like a dream. They also were kind enough to bring up another small issue they noticed and were very communicative with the progress of the repairs. I would absolutely recommend them. Lastly, I ran almost 20 minutes late picking up the car after closing and they were gracious enough to wait for me. I cannot recommend them enough. If you need an honest repair of your car - go to Nals!

Id gone to Mike Andersons for a steering problem which they repaired under warranty. Then they told me Id need some additional work done to fix a leak that was NOT under warranty or that Id run into the exact same steering problem. The work was over $2,000. I declined and took it to Nals thinking I could get it done less expensively. They looked at my vehicle and discovered that there was no leak, and that someone had jammed a screw into my rack and pinion assembly. The owner also took time to photograph what hed found and explain to me how the work they were recommending could have been done during the first repair which would have decreased the labor costs by at least $1,000. It seemed someone was trying to squeeze some extra $ from this job. Thanks to Nals, they were not successful. On top of all that, he did not charge me a single cent for his assessment. This man is a professional, and a saint.

I called this morning and was told to bring my car in (he wanted to make sure it was safe to drive). Appointments are usually required. I was lucky enough to get In. Reasonable priced with high quality work. Kinda hard to find, but well worth it!

Biased source, have been customer for over 30 years. They don’t up sell u on unneeded work and are are upfront about repairs needed and why. My car knowledge consists of putting key in car . The crew are knowledgeable and helpful.

I have been going to Nals since I bought my first car, more than 20 years ago. The service is surperb! Al, the owner, is fair and honest and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Although I started out with Randy, his brother, as my principle mechanic, his leaving didnt hinder the great service provided by Nals Auto.
