I live in Florida and my daughter just moved to Chicago. Her Jeep would not start, and I was a little far to come jump it. I called a few places and Milito’s came to the rescue. They were pleasant to deal with on the phone, met my daughter at 9:00 pm to jump start it and let her follow back to the shop to leave to get fixed the next day. Great service!!!

8 Year Old Van RevivedI used to go to the dealer to have my Chrysler minivan serviced. But as it aged I became less enchanted with them. I had used Militos for my wifes aging 2001 Jaguar and had ale=ways been happy with the results.I was scheduled for an oil change (130,000 mi!), but had other concerns as well. I had the breaks checked, a fist sized dent in the corner of the rear bumper to be popped out, some tail light wiring that was dangling, a faulty tire pressure sensor and a balky AC unit.It turned out there was a nail in a tire, so there. Everything was addressed in one day at the cost of $350. Another shop had offered to fix the bumper for the same price, so I guess Militos just comped all the other things, including new wipers and a car wash. Just kidding, but the bumper and wire assembly repair was $40!Jay Jay and his crew are no nonsense professionals. Yes, there are still real mechanics who listen to you and fix things at a fair price.

I was in a bind and needed a tire replacement last minute. Not only did they accommodate my tight window, but they did a wonderful job! Jay was incredibly helpful and kind. The service was affordable, quick, and well-done. They included a car wash and detailed the inside of my car. Thank you!

I went here for scheduled maintenance. After they worked on it I noticed a new sound that I havent heard from my car before. So I went back and waited if they could figure out where the sounds was coming from.After waiting 3 hours Jose was at first unable to find the spice of the rattling sound. But he suggested we go on a test drive so confirm we were hearing the same sounds.During our test drive we spoke of the possible causes of the sound. During our discussion Jose gave another suggestion and he was right.I am impressed how Jose was able to find a solution. He was very respectful, polite and explained things clearly. Much respect for the hardworking staff.

I’ve been going to Milito’s for about a year and thought they were reliable and trustworthy to use as a mechanic for someone who knows next to nothing about cars. After recently getting a quote from them for a repair that was way out of my budget, I checked around for what other shops would charge for the same work. Turns out that most other places would do it for exactly half the price. Not only that, once I got my car in to another shop they discovered that none of the work that Milito’s was going to do was actually necessary and the work that did need to be done was less than an hour and required no new parts- just cleaning and resetting something in the engine - literally saving me $700 from what Milito’s had quoted. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Milito’s and I would recommend anyone who does go there to call around before paying for anything.

Came to Chicago for vacation got stuck in traffic and realized alternator was going out in my moms SUV and my boyfriends car was overheating. Was able to get to our Condo and found Militos nearby they had our vehicles back on the road in 8hrs, back home it would have taken 2-5days though our local mechanic.

Great experience. Had a front end issue and asked for an overall check up on my car. Service was quick and received an honest response. Issue was repaired quickly and will definitely return for future work.

Unfortunately, I had to take my 2009 Honda Odyssey to Militos 4 times in 13 days. When it rains….. Alternator died, power steering pump failed and the accessory belt showed (squealed) its wear days apart. I was holding off on getting the front brakes and the air repaired, rear struts replaced and oil changed, but had Militos take care of this too since my daughter was taking the van for her summer internship. It was a financially painful 2 weeks, but the cost for repairs was reasonable and their speed in getting the vehicle to me was amazing. These repairs were made in three visits and I had my van back the same day or the next morning. They are on top of their customer service!!! They are my “easy button” for keeping my van running safely and smoothly.

Great quality for their “the works” $23 car wash. The inside of my car is spotless thanks to the interior vacuum that comes with it and the exterior is sparkling. I can only expect their full detailing work is fantastic if this is what $23 can do.

Very nice and cool people working here but insanely expensive for minor work. Ive been here twice and both times I was charged just over $600.A brake job/oil change nor a patch on the exhaust should cost this much. I assume since its Lincoln Park and near DePaul they assume everyone has money and can afford to throw it away.I really want to like my local shop but Im done with them unfortunately. This place worked fast and they were very helpful. My car was squealing in reverse; they adjusted the belt, changed the oil, and charged me under $100. Recommend!

These people are thieves .They overcharged me and did not do a good job .I asked them several times to go back and correct the issues but they asked me to pay extra for them to do the correct work they were originally supposed to do . I don’t recommend you go here .

I cant say how LUCKY I am that I was referred here years ago. Its so hard to find a reliable and valuable mechanic for a foreign car that doesnt overcharge you for labor. I have an Audi Q5 2011 that Ive been bringing in for over three years now. Millitos has been the most honest and caring man I have ever met and the fact that hes a mechanic makes it even better for my car. He gives me caring and valuable advice and knows being a single mother is hard enough and has never ever over charged me or suggested anything that I did not absolutely needed to get done. Im lucky I was referred to him and I always refer him to anyone looking for an honest and caring mechanic who is skilled and reliable. Hes a God send.

Thank you to Militos for making the best of these challenging times with pickup and delivery of my vehicle...twice. I recently visited Militos to have my brakes and filters replaced and oil change and when the car was first brought to me, there was a miscommunication and they did not complete the oil change portion. While it was really frustrating at the time, I appreciate that they took the car back, completed the work and brought it back to me. They quickly accepted responsibility, apologized for the oversight and made it right by completing the work and making up for the issue. They did a great and cost-effective job and look forward to visiting again soon.

Great ServiceIve been going to Militos now for about 2 years with my 2003 Taurus. The staff has always been very courteous and professional at each and every service. I think their prices are sometimes a little high but they totally stand behind their work. A few problems a year or so ago were quickly taken care of. Tows when needed were covered at no extra cost.A Great repair shop with great guys. 5 stars to Jose and JJ especially. Thanks guys but hope not to see you again for a long time...well ok 3 month oil change but hopefully nothing else.

Faulty repair caused bigger electrical problem in my vehicle in terms of service.Also didn’t see my car for about 4 days with an appointment made for service.I called and it seemed that they didn’t even check my car during those days because they told me to call back in an hour to get a diagnostic on my electrical problem.

I have been working in this neighborhood for years and really have enjoyed the pleasantness of those helping out with full service during COVID times.I did have a car wash in the summer and it was okay, hence really drop in the star, but other then that, I appreciate the precautions that they taking.

The team at Militos is very dependable, honest, and get the job done fast. Ive gone there twice for auto repairs and each time has been great. I took my truck there a few months ago. First off they double charged me for labor and I had to have them correct it via check afterwards, which they did do. A few weeks after taking it in though, it started running oddly, and it turns out they had disconnected a fuel injector and not plugged it back in correctly.Just a sloppy experience all around, I wouldnt recommend them.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EFFICIENCY A#1Ive had some major repairs over the last year or so. But Militos has always guaranteed their work. A little pricier than repair shop i used to go to for neighborhood convenience but seemed something else unrelated broke within days and back in again. Militos has not only stood by their guarantee but have the best, efficient and friendliest customer service.After a repair car broke down again after a few days and they arranged tow and repair for no additional cost although this repair was said to be unrelated! Even threw in new free remotes to replace my broken one!! Service this week was for a non functionning washer fluid problem. Could be a new pump maybe so car left to be repaired.. Later in the day spoke with Jose (what a gem!!!) who said it was just a minor hose problem, car fixed and no cost!! Not even labor!Trust these guys 100%.

I was looking forward to working with this place based on the reviews , photos and mostly their advertised hours of operation. I needed an emergency repair the morning I was to leave Chicago to return home driving an overheated engine.long story short I was greeted by a very patronizing gas station attendant who told me that the hours for the mechanic were not until 8 p.m. that only the gas station opened at 7 and the carwash at 7 am. I am this review on the map page for the mechanic shop not the page for the carwash.

I definitely do not recommend using the services. I put one star because I cant admit less.Why - due to a bad repair (replacement of the brake light sensor) I incurred unnecessary costs (purchase of a new battery) and several visits with a request to diagnose and remove the fault was a waste of time.It caused a lot of stress related to unpleasant service and providing me false information.In addition, nothing was done to compensate the unnecessary costs and stress I had incurred.

JayJay, Jose and their crew do an awesome job. The radiator blew up in my civic so I dropped it off Monday evening before they closed and it was ready for pick up on Wednesday - they even took it through the car wash and cleaned the interior for me. You can tell that truly care about their customers and while they aren’t the cheapest guys in town they are reasonably priced and their service and work is second to none. I won’t go anywhere else!

I booked an appointment online (with no time specified which should have tipped me off) and when I showed up they told me they had no record of my appointment and that basically meant I didn’t have one. The woman working wasn’t nice about it and I waked out and I’m not ever going to return.

It is great to have a local business that provides such great service.

I wish I could give Milito’s 10 stars! My car had an emergency issue and had to be towed. I haven’t owned a car for many years and I had no idea where to have it towed in the city. My insurance company first connected me with a different mechanic, but when I called the person on the other end of the phone was rude, and told me that my car wouldn’t be a priority to them and said they’d “Get to it when they get to it”. Needless to say I hung up and started to search for a mechanic on my own.I came across Milito’s and saw their great reviews, so I gave them a call. Lupé answered the phone, and she couldn’t have been nicer. Having car problems is a stressful situation, Lupé understood that and was so sweet to me. She explained that they would likely be able to work on my car the next morning (it was already 3:30pm when I called) and that someone would call me before the worked on it. JJ called me the next morning before 9am - he and I spoke about my car; I also mentioned to him that I had an event in the afternoon and that I was hoping to have my car fixed by then. He said he would do everything he could to make that happen.By 11am JJ had already called back to tell me that he put 2 technicians on my car and they had been able to replace my cars broken part and I could come pick it up whenever I wanted! He also said they would clean up my car and make it look nice. Boy did they ever! When I walked up to Milito’s, I could see my car from a block away - As Riri said, it was “Shining bright like a diamond”. My car looked brand new.I can not recommend Milito’s enough!

Jay was great! A piece had fallen off the front of our car (didnt even know that could happen - thought it was all one piece!). I brought the piece in and asked if it could be fixed. 5 minutes after checking in, without an appointment, they took my car in, peeled off the cardboard and duck tape I had put on, bolted the piece back in, offered to fix a fog light that was out and I was out the door in about 15 minutes! Jay was super nice and the price was good too. Highly recommend Militos. The only bad part is... while you are waiting, you sit right in front of the candy counter - haha! Of course, I had a Reeses!
