Great staff. My daughter always enjoys class. They keep it fresh weekly. I truly believe the sensei is a student of the arts, and will never stop from learning them himself just so he can teach that same love of the arts to his students.

We love American Legacy Martial Arts! Not only are the kiddos being physical, acquiring self defense skills and learning the importance of respect (for themselves and others), they get to have fun while doing it. Thanks for being awesome!

We joined so our daughter could gain self confidence. Just WOW! These last five years she has grown into a very confident and mature pre-teen. Now she volunteers and helps with the younger students, numerous student of the month at school for grades, volunteering, and helping others. At home she is self motivated and respectful to everyone. We are very thankful for ALMA and Master Chauncey. The self defense and sparring is just icing on the cake and not what karate is all about.

The wonderful people at ALMA have been a biweekly part of my children’s lives for the last 3 1/2 years. I have watched my sons and daughter grow in confidence and respect, as well as stay physically active, while learning self defense through each class. Mr. Chauncy and his family provide an unmatchable resource for the greater Cheyenne community, and they are dedicated to every family involved, as well as community service. Without hesitation, I highly recommend ALMA for any child or adult who is looking to stay physically active and to grow personally. Thank you ALMA for all that you do for our family.

Chauncy is a fantastic teacher. He is great with the kids and extremely patient. My son loves going to karate. He is also great with the adults too. Great at breaking down the movements so anyone can understand, pick up and learn the techniques. This is a great school. My family love it!

Our son loves this place and Mr Chauncey! We live in Fort Collins, CO and drive the 40 minutes to class. We started here because it was close to my sons daycare. We stay here because he loves it here and we love how they treat him. The instructors are so good with all of the kids. They listen to the kids, respect the kids , but also expect the kids to behave and show respect. Their patience seems to show no end. This is the first activity my son has shown any interest in participating. He asks to go to class and to extra sessions on the weekend (pre-covid). When covid hit, they pivoted so well to online instruction. They kept everyone informed and still made it fun and instructive for the kids. Ive never felt my son or my family was just a number here or just another customer to cycle through the paces. If you ever thought about trying martial arts or for your kids, give this place a try first. Youll be glad you did.

This school is outstanding, and Chauncy and the other instructors are wonderful teachers. They make karate easy and fun to learn and are always so supportive. Ive really enjoyed all the people theyve brought here to do seminars over the years, too. Ive learned so much! If youre wanting to learn martial arts, this is the place to be. I HIGHLY recommend it. No matter where you are with your fitness, age, or ability, they will work with you and help you reach your goals and succeed. And youll make some great friends along the way, too.

I have LOVED this place from day 1!!!! My oldest daughter has been there over 3 years and my youngest started 6 months ago and have loved WVWRY BIT of it. Karate has helped both of them break out of there shy-shell and my oldest has learned to lead a class and help to teach others. The entire staff is AMAZING. I HIGHLY recommend this place to help your child break out of their shell.

We were only visiting Cheyenne when I decided to check out American Legacy Martial Arts, and my 4 year-old son was allowed to participate on a free trial basis. I was so pleased at the experience he had there. Chauncy Emerine, the owner and operator, is inherently good-natured, and kind, not to mention goofy, with the kids. I love the structure and respect elements he implements with his students. Hes also very friendly and professional. The location is very clean and welcoming as well. I cant recommend highly enough, and I only wish we were local to regularly attend. My son loved his brief but memorable time at ALMA.

Being passionate about something drives a person to do that thing with excellence, quality, and care; three things that I find when I walk into American Legacy Martial Arts. Chauncy Emerine, the owner and operator, exudes passion for what he does and it makes him an excellent instructor and businessman. With his passion for teaching and martial arts he also has the training and experience to provide quality instruction to both children and adults. The facility is clean and well kept and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. If you are looking for a place to begin or continue your martial arts journey, I highly recommend giving ALMA a try.

My son is finally enjoying karate. He has a teacher that wont pass him unless he earns his belt. We spent years at the other karate school and they always made me feel that they were passing my kids for only the belt fee.
