I just rescued a dog and took her to Clarkson Wilson Veterinary Clinic for an evaluation. The receptionist was so friendly and immediately got an appointment scheduled for the very same day. Once there, the clinic seemed warm and inviting and the entire staff was friendly and supportive. The doctor was especially impressive. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was very thorough in her examination of my new fur-baby. I am definitely making this clinic my go to place for all of my pets health care needs! I highly recommend!

Always a great experience for our puppy. She gets overly excited to see everyone at Clarkson Wilson. They have always been straightforward and honest with the recommended care and treatments. We have also found them available on short notice when needed.

The staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. Dr. Megan is incredibly knowledgeable about rats and always more than happy to answer questions. If you have pet rats, Clarkson Wilson is definitely the place to go in the St. Louis area!

We have a ferret that was losing weight extremely fast and couldn’t seem to find an exotic near that would even look at her. Dr. Magan so graciously let us drop her off as a work in throughout the day due to being booked. Ferrets are not easy to diagnose but she made her best diagnosis based on symptoms and tests and we were lucky enough to be able to take her home. Now all we can do is just give her the meds prescribed and pray she starts gaining some weight back. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. MAGAN!!!

Great Veterinarians and staff. Excellent pet care. We use their grooming services which are awesome as well. Been using them for over 3 years with 2 dogs and 3 grand dogs that seem to show up for extended periods of time.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My dog was breathing heavy and had a fever - something was wrong. My vet of 7 years (since he was a puppy) told me they were too busy and couldnt see him. This clinic got me in within an hour after calling. It ended up being his spleen needing removal. Dr. Pam was just awesome. She called me every time they had the slightest bit of news. Just wonderful to work with in such a stressful situation. Dr. Pam and this clinic are now our new vet.

I dont live in the area and this was the only location out of many that would help out and accept a serious case. Dr. Meghan was very informative, professional, and friendly. I was able to leave with a smile. A place I highly recommend to everyone.

My wife and I were out of town with in-laws when our elderly dog had an issue on a Saturday. We had never been there but they facilitated us anyway. We are particularly impressed with the caring nature of the stuff. In particular Dr Amy was compassionate and communicated well. The entire experience made a tough situation as good as it could have been. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our dog was having issues walking and it turned out that she was having a vestibular issue. We called the office just before closing and Dr. Pam and the staff stayed late to could examine her. They were very comforting to our dog and spent time explaining the diagnosis to us and how we should care for her. Were really grateful for Dr. Pam and the staffs support and caring.

Weve been taking our rabbit here for the last 2 years for checkups and lately sick visits. They are very quick to get us in on the same day and so sweet and friendly with everyones pets. The staff is very accommodating and everyone is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend them!

Great, caring vets. Have 2 older cats who needed annual physicals. One is shy and scared, the other angry and attacking (only at the vet but still). They were perfect with each one, calming them and treating them. Highly recommend - especially for exotics as they can treat most anything.

I brought in Foxy yesterday for an ear check as she’d been scratching her left ear. We had a 9:30 AM appointment and were taken back and seen promptly. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and obviously care for their patients, our pets! Dr. Doug and Dr. Pam have a new associate, Dr. Magan, who took care of Foxy and was wonderful! Turned out Foxy had an ear infection and also suffering from allergies. Received ear drops and a 4 week allergy shot and Saturday morning can already tell a dramatic difference. Foxy hasn’t scratched at all this morning.The office was recently remodeled and updated and is first rate and very clean and tidy! I have been taking my four legged family members here for 21 years and would never take them anywhere else! And Clarkson-Wilson is a great place to adopt from. My cat Blue was adopted from here!

We are with our second dog here. The Professional staff here are tops. They recently remodeled the inside which gives a cleaner look. With our first dog, they treated hom as well as us with dignity and respect when it came time to let him rest. We have a box with his picture on it with his remains. You will find cheaper places but we are happy with the service here

Dr. Doug and the entire staff at Clarkson Wilson Veterinary Clinic are amazing! I very much appreciate their knowledge and care for exotic pets. There are very few vets who are qualified to treat reptiles and I am very thankful that Clarkson Wilson Veterinary Clinic does!

I chose this vet last year to take my leopard gecko, Sasha, to when she started showing strange symptoms. I met with Dr Doug / Dr P and he was so great (as were all of the staff!) and gentle with her and helped me figure out the best course of action. I would recommend them to anyone based on my experience ! Dr, if you happen to read this: one, thank you. Two, Sasha did end up passing a week later; it looked like she had internal bleeding after the fact. I was sad but thankful that we tried!

We love Dr. Doug and the Clarkson Wilson Veterinary Clinic. They always take great care of our animals and can fit us in. I love that Dr. Doug gives out his cell phone and welcome you to text him with issue on off hours. I would recommend them to anyone!

We had a sick snake, and this clinic was the only clinic out of all of the hospitals and clinics in town that would work her into the schedule for the day. They have an exotic vet on staff even on the weekend, and the receptionist was lovely. Saved the day!!

I adore Dr. Doug! We started taking our animals here when our gecko lizard became sick. Dr. Doug kept Gunner for a week to take care of him without charging us because of our financial situation! When Gunner died, the staff let us know and asked permission to do an autopsy since it wasnt obvious what killed him.Weve been taking our other animals here every since. Dr. Doug is a man who LOVES animals!

Staff was so friendly and the Techs so patient and Dr. Magan was so sweet! They took time to hear my concerns and gave me advice on what to do! Really a great place! Plus Dr. Pernicoff is great too!!

Dr. Doug was amazing. I greatly appreciated the time he spent with us.

Terrible. We adopted our puppy here, and they were very rude to us. After telling us the shots were included At the adoption once we brought her in they charged us and basically acted like we were morons. Not only were they rude about the cost and scheduling of her shots but they told us we HAD to spay our puppy. Which would have been fine however they were forceful and rude, even stooping low enough to throw small claims court in our face if we wouldnt ablige. Very unprofessional, very rude, and overall a complete waste of time. They even acted like they would take her back, as if we would just abandon our dog. This dog is our family, and youre not gonna force us to do anything with any member of our family. They tried to push their beliefs on to us, after overhearing a part of our private conversation about maybe not spaying her so we could breed her with her best friend dog and just spay her later! They made it into a big deal and it was very offensive. Please avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like an uneducated pet abuser. Its for the best.

Clarkson Wilson Veterinary Clinic has cared for two of our pets and we are very hard to please. They have never failed to impress! I have never had more caring, loving people care for my pets!

I took my pet bird into this clinic to get blood work since she was not feeling well. During the brief almost non existent exam, he grabbed her and scared her instead of being gentle about it. She couldnt fly so there was no need to be so rough about it. Then when he took her back for the blood draw, he grabbed her again and I could hear her squeaking in fear as he wasnt gentle and didnt show any kind of compassion as he took her back there. I was called back there because she was having difficulty breathing and he had her on oxygen. he said she was just scared but I know that she couldnt breathe because blood was filling her lungs. She was on her last breaths and he put her on the x-ray machine and she had died before the picture was taken. He proceeded to charge me $562.38 and never called to give me the results of the test. 3 weeks later I was told by Doug Pernikoff that the machine malfunctioned and ate the blood sample so my bird is dead and we never got the results as to what was making her sick. He got extremely mad when I requested a full refund. Told me I wasnt allowed back into his clinic. He claims I am all about money and that he was trying to help . He killed my poor baby and wanted to charge me for it. This vet should be avoided at all cost! He was uncaring in the way he picked her up and he would not admit he made a mistake and caused her death. I had a neucropsy done by another vet and it was determined she died of suffocation due to his mistake. Please do not take your pets to this vet. There are other vets out there who are genually caring and will take good care of your pets.

My sugar glider rachel has a scratched eye. I took her to see Dr. Doug and it is healing nicely. Reminder to check your gliders daily and address any health issues asap. Thank you dr. Doug
