Worst Enterprise Ive ever dealt with. I rented a vehicle for work. I called the day before to confirm they had vehicles available. Then the day of my trip I received a call stating that they didnt have any vehicles. When I inquired about them pulling a car from another location. I was told I would need to call and see if they any vehicles available. (Excuse me, thats not my job!). So then I called Avis across the street and they were able to get me in a rental within moments. Needless to say going forward I will not be using this location again and will continue to use Avis for all of my business trips.

I am completely disappointed and disgusted with the Chester location. The staff was completely unprofessional and unaccommodating. I made the reservation with my insurance company three weeks prior and was assured my rental would be ready for pickup on 09AUG2021 with Jason. Today I called and not only did they not have any vehicles but they also didn’t have my reservations😡 Told me I would be placed on a waiting list at 10am; 4pm arrives and no call! Then was told to call around to other enterprises and check for availability! Finally found a location 30 miles away.. If you are looking for a reliable, customer service oriented, professional business STAY AWAY! Hands Down the WORST rental experience!!

So I had a car through my insurance. While driving. I hear a pop and the mirror cover popped opened. I call Enterprise and immediately go to the Chester location. They say oh it’s not a problem cause we can see where it was glued together. Well they charged me and when I called, they said they will contact me back but unfortunately I have not yet received a call. I am a loyal member there and let’s just say, highly disappointed.

Dont Try to rent a car from them you ca do the easy pass and they say they called you 25 minutes after you are to pick up the car this is one of the meny untruths you will have the unfortunate experience if you decide to try them then they will give your rental to someone else without calling you i was less then 1 hour when I called them to find out my rental was gone. I had this rental signed up for weeks even walked in to pay for it early. They rowing my boyfriends 50th birthday we couldnt go on our trip to see family in Tenn they are the worst place to go to

I really enjoy the great customer service. The employees are helpful and able to process my vehicle in a good time manner. The employees from the Enterprise at Chester, Virginia are experts and helpful. I did not get there names but two female employees help me out and provide me great and excellent customer service.

The driver that picked us up was very nice. Zach was fantastic. Very patient and considerate of or situation. Answered all our questions and we didnt feel rushed to go. Great vehicle as well. Highly recommend using them if youre in need of a car in that area.

I like this group ! It was kinda hard scheduling a rental during the time I needed for the class size I needed. None fault of Enterprise the COVID response has everything in a bind. They squared me away and these guys kept me informed and were ver professional and courteous ! I will continue to do business with enterprise !

I gave it two stars because I went there 4/26 after dropping my car off to be worked on. The lady said that none of these was available something was wrong with either bad tires or maintenance needs be done. Had a reservation at another facility this was jus so happened to be close. And the parking lot was full.

I absolutely love renting cars from this location. All of the employees are so friendly. Ive never had an issue renting a car. The process always runs very smoothly. Sometimes there is a bit of an issue with a messy cleaning job but when you let the staff know, they quickly rectify the situation. I wont rent from any other company or location. The Chester Enterprise is top notch.

I reserved online; walked in; showed my ID; my wait time was no longer than 15 minutes; walked around the car; initialed the contract and was on my way with a beautiful Chevy Equinox. My customer rep was Zach, who has courteously served me on other rentals. I will re-use Enterprise when I rent a car.

I contacted them this morning after my insurance company secured a rental. I confirmed with the girl that I spoke with that I wanted a smaller car so my insurance would cover it longer. I was scheduled to pick it up at 5:30. At 5:24 a man from there called and said the car they were putting me in wasn’t going to be in until late tonight. He asked if I could wait until morning. I told him no because I have to be at work in the morning. I have contacted my claims adjuster to find me another rental but not at this location.

Disappointed that the car I reserved was not available when I went to the location to pick up the rental car. The representative offered another vehicle at the same rate.This is not the first time this has happened at this specific location. The representatives attempt to smooth the issue over in a sarcastic manner as it is not a big deal since they consider themselves providing the customer with a better vehicle at the same rate.

Had my rental car for over 5 months tried reaching out to corporate to see about more programs, there is no corporate office no one will never call back. This location customer service sucks especially the manager they treat you just like the drug dealers they rent to, they do not act like a professional car rental company everyone is a risk. All they do is take your money out your account unauthorized talk with cs and they just type up something and act as if there sending to someone higher. Zack the manager at this location he dont care. If your planning to rent for a long time go to another location because they will charge you so many times its get out of control. Find a airport location save yourself the headache. If I could give 0 stars thats what I would give this entire company.

I give them 5 stars not because of the company it self being I had made a reservation for a car 2 weeks prior to pickup date and when I arrived they had no cars, I give them 5 stars for theyre employees, the young lady that help me was very nice and apologize for the encounvience, when a car arrived she cleaned and sanitized it personally, employees make the company and that young lady certainly made a difference great personality and very helpful

I have rented from this location several times and havent been disappointed. This last time I rented from them, I came in, was greeted quickly. We looked the car over, I was told about the insurances, and I signed the needed areas, and I was on my way. They were very quick and on top of things.Will continue to use them for my rental needs in the future.

Had a great experience on my last rental. Had an accident during my last rental and went to returned it to Albuquerque airport. Was treated with respect and understanding and given a choice of three cars to pick from so that we can continue our journey.Customer service was great and will use them again.

Not good. My friend and his sister had their cars hit by a drunk driver and they needed rental cars while the damages were being handled. We were told that they both had cars waiting but when we got there they had none left. Customer service was not helpful as they did not try to locate any rentals for them at other locations. They basically said they had no cars and waited for us to leave. Customer service should be number one in any business and they did not do well at all

I have Enterprise Plus. With that said; my husband after leaving my son at Fort Lee, called to reserve a car from the hotel in Chester. Gave them his card information....no problem. The following day he called, they would niether deliver or pick him up. Taxi’s needed 24 hour advance appointment only. The Hotel ended up giving him a ride. He arrives at Enterprise only to be told they will not take his Mastercard, because it may also be used as a debit. Remember: he gave them his card information the day before without incident. He told them to run as Mastercard, offered to call and let them speak to our banker. Then he was told they would not accept it because he was out of state. Are not most travelers out of state.....It’s a car rental! They then directed him to a competitive car rental company down the road. He inquired as to a ride there, because he had a duffel bag/suitcase. They refused! He then walked 4 blocks to Budget Car Rental. In which Budget was appalled, giving him a beautiful car without question. This is the second time we have had difficulties with Enterprise. Third time is Not the charm. We will not be returning!Chris M.As I look further into your inquiries whenever there seems to be issues....you appear to have the same response; [email protected]. However, upon contacting said site, an automated messenger refers you back to the original Enterprise Vender, where the problem originated. I rent alot for my business and always with credit card for no less than $300.00 per rental. With that said I am never able to use any promos given for the amount of business I do and they staff never try o be accommodating, they are so matter of fact. But they will say promote our office etc. The company with the right staff will would be good , with the right people looking to get you what you need, INSTEAD of assuming you cant have or dont have means to get what you asked for. Its insulting , rude.

I have a reservation and I called to get picked up at 9:00 AM. My vehicle was totaled the day before. I was told they could pick me up at 2:00 PM. I got a ride and arrived at 1:30. Gave Howard my reservation number and he advised me he had one car, a van that was being cleaned. So I waited. While I waited two employees were sitting around. Howard was playing on his personal phone and occasionally looking at the monitor. He had a document up on the screen and was moving the scroll bar up and down on that document, in an attempt to appear busy. The car was finally ready and the paperwork commenced. I am thunderstruck at the level of service deterioration at that location. I have done business there many times and have experienced proactive customer service. Today’s experience can only be described as apathy....

I have been renting cars from this location for over 9 years. I have never been disappointed with the car service or the excellent customer service of the staff members who have worked there. The employees are always friendly, courteous and even tempered. If I have had a concern regarding a vehicle, the employees have calmly and respectfully taken care of the concern. Additionally, they always remember that prior concern and work hard to ensure that that issue does not happen again.While being in the Charlottesville area for a few days with a rental, my tire would not stay inflated. I was told to take the car to the nearest Enterprise for a replacement. When I returned to the Jefferson Davis location, the staff member who had rented me the car had been notified of the car exchange and rationale. The staff member questioned me to ensure that I was treated well, that my trip was not ruined, and then expressed his joy that I got back safely. This level of concern and follow-up of customers goes far beyond the call of duty. Enterprise is the greatest!!

Cars are never ready on time. This time I had to wait over 2 hours for a car to come 20 miles. The only response I received was a sorry. Management only seemed to make sure I was happy when I dropped the vehicle off. Wish there was another car rental place near me I would happily give them a chance to take my business

We had problems with the van shaking when we got on the highway. On our way back I hit the accelerator and the van acted like it wanted to cut off but it didn’t. I alerted Enterprise and they thanked me for calling and told me that they would take the van off the line. I wasn’t offered a discount or anything which was surprising.

They were very accommodating and actually was glad to have a car available on the thanksgiving holiday since another company( I wont name them) duped me on my reservation and left me stranded.The only bad thing I experienced with the vehicle was that it was not cleaned and had 1/2 tank of gas and seemed to be pulling to the left when I braked. Otherwise I was thankful!!

The point of a reservation is to have the vehicle early if your awesome but great if its on time. The fact that you had to drive to get it is fine but not the fact you didnt plan to have it by the time I reserved. Then when I ask can you check where its at the best response is he/she or the next person will check for you. Total of 3 associates helping with no response or even a phone call to whoever is picking up the call just a shuffle off to next associate. Disgraceful customer service. I use enterprise and value it greatly but will not return to this branch.

I called risk management which verified this wasn’t true . Still waiting for a regional or district manager to call me .

I need to travel for work, and we have agreements with different companies. I can choose from any of them. I always choose Enterprise. When I can, I choose the Chester, VA location.Multiple times Ive had to get a rental at the last minute due to poor prior planning, and theyve gone out of their way to try to accommodate me.Late Thursday afternoon during Spring Break? Probably cant get a car. But I needed a car. They found me a last minute vehicle, and followed through. Start a reservation through the work travel system on Friday, then find out that it was never completed when you arrive Monday morning after all the cars are gone? They called around to other Enterprise locations and offered me transportation to that location or to being the car to their location, if I could wait for a driver to be available.I waited.For anybody else who is steamed because they had to wait 20 minutes when a vehicle isnt available? The fact that they tried to secure a vehicle for you from another location WAS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Im sorry, we do not have a rental for you would have been acceptable, if there were no cars available. Thats just the way it is. Options? Hey, can you just take me to that location? Sure, AS SOON AS WE HAVE A DRIVER AVAILABLE would have been an appropriate accommodation and EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.Whenever I have traveled out of state, Enterprise has always come through. Flat tire in Louisiana? Got an immediate replacement (and traded up). Need something for the fam on a trip to Colorado? Describe what I need, and they have a luxury car ready on my original reservation (full size).Enterprise is a winner time and time again. They dont need to be that good to me. Im not the business owner, I dont rent constantly, I dont even have big rentals - one day a month.The Chester people recognize me. Theyre nice to me. But Ive also watched when people come in unexpectedly - theyre nice to them also.Car problem on your way through the state? I spoke with gentlemen on Friday and he stated that a premium vehicle would be available at 9:30am Monday morning. Arrived this morning and was told there were no premium vehicles available. The gentlemen asked me to come back later in the day, “maybe1-2pm”. I have three issues with this. One, there was a total disregard for my time wasted driving to this location. Second, there were four staff members sitting at their desk with zero customers when I walked in. Not sure why it doesn’t make sense to let a client know that what they reserved is not available before they arrive. Third, he didn’t even try to invoke good customer service and call to locate a vehicle in the size/class that I requested. I left and called to another location and have what I need.

The service provided from the time of calling to make the reservation to the time of pick up was stellar. I was treated with courtesy and respect, there was a little confusion when I arrived to get the car, but the employees went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. While waiting I also noted that my experience was not an isolated one but that the same courtesy and superior customer service was given to EVERY customer. I will definitely return for future needs

Giving them 1 star is generous. This may have been the worst customer service experience Ive had anywhere. For starters, to call someone early in the morning before regular business hours is rude. Next, Im not sure who arbitrarily decided my reservation was for 1pm on a Friday afternoon. It sure wasnt me, but to call me an hour later to tell me I missed the reservation that I didnt make and that now you dont have a vehicle for me is, again, unacceptable. Finally, when it was time for the reservation that I actually did make on Saturday, nobody bothered to show up to pick me up or even bothered to call to tell me that they wouldnt be picking me up. Thankfully, with it being a Saturday, we were able to rearrange our plans long enough for my wife and I both to drive up there to pick the vehicle up. Im glad she hadnt already left to run her errands for the day or we wouldnt have been able to make that happen. Thats why I requested to be picked up in the first place. Dont offer a service if you dont really do it. Finally, so we get there and as were doing the walk around on the vehicle, the young lady helping (I use that word loosely because it was in reality more like the young lady that we were bothering) dismissed everything I pointed out with oh, thats normal wear and tear. I should have known it wasnt going to end well. The vehicle sat in my driveway most of the week because we were out of town with our minivan, but come time to turn it in, sure enough, we were accused of causing damage to the bumper. You mean the same scratch that I pointed out and you insisted was just normal wear and tear is now an issue? Of course it is. Nothing else has been pleasant so why should I expect the check out process to be pleasant either. Thankfully, and to his credit, the manager overrode the associate and said it was under bumper policy anyway, but why bother me with it anyway? In the end, Im glad that experience is over with and I wont be doing business with them again in the future.

If you need to get in contact with them....get a pen and paper and mail them a letter because NOONE answers the phone there. After dealing with the Hull St location who was no help. The case was transferred to this one. I dont know if they are in business because we still havent been able to get anyone to answer the phone. After an hour and 45 minutes finally got picked up by the 2nd and Main St location.

Do not use Enterprise because they steal your belongings from the car. I left a whole Nike gym bag full of equipment. In less than 3 hours it was gone!!!!!!!!!! They clearly dont have honest people working for them and cant be trusted to return customers belongings if mistakening left. A big Hot pink Nike gym bag cant be missed only taken.

Absolutely nothing. This has been the biggest headache ever to rent a car. First I called after making the reservation to ensure it would not be an issue to be picked up from my home and was told it would not be a problem. I then called three days prior and the morning of and was again told it would not be an issue. I then get a call at 1145am on the day Im supposed to get the car only to be told that I live to far away and they dont drive to Hopewell from Chester. Are you serious? If it was going to be an issue then the two people I spoke with prior should have said something. So now its 2pm I was supposed to have gotten my car at Noon and Im still waiting on the driver. Im not a happy camper right now. What kind of business are they running? I have rented from the Colonial Heights location and have never had an issue and I will never rent from the Chester location.Update after finally getting my rental almost 3 hours late they tried to give me the a grey Nissan that reeked of cigarette smoke and was extremely dirty. They guy tried to say it was the detail spray. Im like dude theres trash and dirty fingers prints all over the car and aint no way Im taking the car. So then had to wait again for another car. Needless to say I plan on complaining to the corporate office

Was having work done to my car, and car insurer recommended Enterprise. I had this rental for 3 hours total while I made arrangements for other transportation. I returned the car to a different location where I was accused of damaging the vehicle. I made sure to take pictures of the damage that I was being accused of, apparently Enterprise believes in magic. I was accused of damaging a rim without damaging the tire at all. I showed the pictures to two separate mechanics for a professional opinion - both said that due to the type and shape of the marks there is no way this was done without damaging the tire. I am currently fighting Enterprise on this matter. I highly recommend going elsewhere.Also, for any of those curious, Enterprise is not a part of the BBB in Richmond. For obvious reasons.

Ive been renting from this location off and on for two years now and Ive never had an issue. The staff is friendly and the cars are great. This is a training site so the staff rotates in and out frequently and this was a totally new team from the last time I was in but same excellent service.

Chester location was not user friendly. The Ft. Lee location (Colonial Heights) was over booked and under staffed. The Midlothian location was clean and efficient. What I dont like is that I signed for a $50 deposit when I picked up the car (Midlothian location) and I have written to Enterprise about it being refunded or why it wasnt covered by my insurance company and I have not heard back.

I had been a loyal member since 2010 with no problems. Went in to pick up my rental today and nope. Apparently my government issued debit card is not accepted anymore. Certain staff were rude about the updated change. If you change your policies its up to you as a business to notify your customers. Needless to say unless you have a local bank debit card youll be turned away. What a shame.

I rent cars ALL THE TIME for work. On this one occasion I needed a car while body repairs were being done on my car. My insurance company recommended this enterprise because they do pick ups at the shop. I called 8 days early and made a reservation for a mid-sized vehicle and stated that I EXPLICITLY need to be picked up at 8:00 because I had to get back to my office to drive to DC for a meeting. They assured me a driver would meet me at 8:00 at the body shop. Someone called me back 4 days later to remind me of the appointment and I again REMINDED them that I had a meeting. Again assurances that I would be fine w/time. I arrived at the bodyshop at 7:50 on the day of my appointment. Told them Enterprise would be picking me up. 8:15, still no Enterprise. At 8:25 the receptionist called and was told the driver was on site. No, the gentleman on site was there for a class, NOT to get me. Meanwhile two other people come in to go to Enterprise. 8:45 an elderly gentleman arrived from Enterprise to pick us all up. We arrive around 9. NOTE: unbeknownst to Enterprise my meeting had been cancelled but as far as they knew I needed to leave by 9:30 from my OFFICE. Both other women are waited on before me. OK....no big deal. I am standing, now alone in the office at 9:25 and the manager walks in and says, have you been helped. NOPE, was my reaction. He took care of me really fast, and walked me out to the car where he then tried to sell me additional insurance, he informed me I could not smoke in the car, and needed to return it w/half a tank of gas. I was so LATE and so aggravated at that point I basically threw my things in the car and took off.About 3 miles down the road I realized the windshield was so nasty and dirty it looked like someone had wiped a dirty, wet rag on the inside of the windshield and not wiped it off. I could barely see when the sun hit it. Then I realized the car reeked of cigarette smoke. Also had ash flakes all in the car. I had to go to work because I was so late, so I kept going. I had 2 co-workers come out and look at the car w/me to affirm that I was not being overly high maintenance. They both agreed w/me. I called and spoke to the assistant manager who told me she was sorry and I could come in the next day and exchange the car after work.I arrived on Wednesday to exchange the cars about 4:00 PM. The girl who waited on me never smiled, never apologized, never gave me any indication that she understood my concerns. The assistant manager sat behind the desk on her computer unsmiling the entire time. Never went to look at the car, nothing. When the girl, I think Ashley, went out to look at the car, she realized I did not fill the tank back to half. She wanted me to go right then and fill it up. In my opinion I should be getting it FREE! The assistant manager stops that foolishness at least. I was HOT again. I was permitted to go out and choose between two cars. A disgustingly dirty Camry and a Dodge Dart. I chose the Dart b/c it was cleaner and newer.I turned the car back in on Friday, which was an easier experience, even though they tried to charge me for an extra day when my reservation was for 5 days covered by insurance. Tuesday-Friday is not 5 days. Girl that checked me out was there helping from a Richmond location and she was very nice. That said, I will NEVER willingly use this office again and probably wont use Enterprise at all either. Hopefully I wont ever need a rental but if I do, I will get a loaner directly from Hyundai.

All paperwork was supposed to be done by the time I arrived at the office. Then the van was out of gas I barely made it to the gas station. All of this on top of a bad day did not help matters.

This place is the only place that I will rent Cars from including in there own company cause they have the most awesome team with customer service in town, this is how awesome that I will drive 40 minutes out of my way to rent from this place even when I have a enterprise ten minutes away. One word: Ghetto! Clearly this branch needs some TLC from upper management, as their current team in place is not being managed or trained properly. I would use the Colonial heights Enterprise location, or try Budget rental car which is less than 1/4 mile up the street. Stay away from this unprofessional, incompetent group. You will only be disappointed in your experience.

The staff at the Chester Enterprise is a class act! My rental got off to a rough start when they did not have my car available when I arrived. Due to other customers failing to return cars on time, they only had large SUVs and trucks. I was not comfortable with either of these choices and a bit nervous about what to do. However they continued to call tardy customers and had a car within about 30 minutes. Due to the rush, the car was not very well cleaned but under the circumstances, this was understandable. I can only imagine the pressure of this type of work when customers are not able to receive what they have already paid for, but they continued to be professional and pleasant! In spite of the problems, I would certainly return.

The rental car broke down in my driveway. It took several calls to roadside assistance, an in person visit to the local branch and additional calls to the branch manager to get someone to come an retrieve the vehicle. Started calling on Saturday the car was picked up on Tuesday 😑

Ive used Enterprise for years and recommended them to family and friends for the weekend specials. However, my last rental visit was different. The staff was prompt; she was new so some things had to be explained. When I asked for the pre-pay fuel cost she said its no longer available and I thought WHat? Thats one of the things I would always tell people-check the price, most of the time its lower than the gas station across the street. Also, when she quoted me the price it was higher than I had received as a quote online. She explained the weekend rate is only from Friday to Monday, but the site allowed me to book for two days instead of having to book for days I wasnt going to use the vehicle. I like that better. Overall, Ill still use Enterprise, just hope their policies that helped me to recommend them to people dont change so drastically that I have to look for another rental place.

I appreciate the use of Enterprise Rental,even though it was a paid experience. Now for the he review, it really angered me that the rental was based off a 24 hr period, but I had to return the vehicle because it was an early day for the,I wasnt given the opportunity to return the vehicle to another facility, therefore I had to cut my wife and I had to cut our weekend getaway short. I was so irritated. But at least the associate was smiling while I was being screwed.

I gave this location 2 stars because the manager there told me that it is a company wide policy for customers to take the vehicles in for service, if they want to keep that vehicles. So my husband took the car to get a new tire put on and waited 3 hours. He stated that he didnt have the staff to take a car and wait and go pick up the vehicles. This is un heard for a company that strives foe customer service. I love this company but I will not be using this location in Chester ever again. I do know your Petersburg location would not have done that. Something to think about.

1st, i called Geico and realized i had adequate Liability so didnt need it. I did purchase the other insur and roadside asst.2nd, the young male Manager acted with a sense of urgency to make sure the vehicle i reserved online was ready so i c/ make my interview.and up to par so I DO NOT SMOKE. He made sure my car didnt smell like cigarrets and was clean. * *He was patient with me as i noted a few minor dings before i signed the contract.and all the men show the best manners. I was impressed.Remember to gas car back up to where it was originally! I did 😉
