I have been wanting to try a new nail place for a while and my daughter referred me to VIP Nails so I gave them a try today. Wow...this was the best Gel manicure and Basic pedicure I have ever had! Mimi took her time and was very much a perfectionist with my nails. Not only that...she actually used real massage techniques for both my manicure and pedicure and didnt rush like many others. I felt valued even though we didnt speak much. (I am ok with that when I am trying to relax!) The environment was very spa relaxing and professional. It was very clean...they cleaned all areas in between each client visit. I will be referring my friends to see Mimi for sure!!

I requested very natural nails with thinner acrylic, similar to an overlay. My nails were misshaped (dipped in the middle like a “U” vs square), crooked, very flat, and wide. They were thin but not natural at all. After paying 75.00 for a service, I should not have to go home and fix my nails. I will say Jenny was nice and she tried. My rating would have been a 3 had I just skipped the pedicure like my gut told me too! My pedicure could have saved my experience but it was far worse. I haven’t had a pedicure in over a year and Lee basically just washed my feet and legs. I don’t know what he was doing with the cuticle trimmer but it sure wasn’t removing or cleaning up my cuticles. NOTHING was in the tool when he finished. Once he rinsed my feet, I doubled checked and the cuticles were STILL there, just soft and gooey from the cuticle remover and soaking. So I asked him to clean them up and he agreed but did only the big toes it still wasn’t satisfactory. I showed him once again where and then just gave up. Then my polish looked like a child did it, a couple of my nails were not fully painted, it wasn’t evenly lacquered, and there was white polish ALL OVER my skin! I thought I saw him clean up my skin but once I walked out I realized he just smeared it and made it much worse. Never in my life have I walked out with a “fresh” pedicure and my feet be ashy. At this point I just have to laugh, I didn’t even realized he didn’t lotion/oil my feet. After a year of not being pampered, today should have be an amazing, relaxing experience and I left very disappointed. Needless to say, I will never be returning. I don’t know how they have such high reviews on Google.

Mimi did my pedicure and it was the MOST DETAILED pedicure I’ve ever gotten! She took her time, got the shape and paint perfectly, my cuticles look amazing no bleeding or pain. The salon itself is clean and modern, the employees were all masked which was comforting with COVID. I will definitely be back when visiting VA Beach again. The only thing I did not like is that you can only tip in cash, and I had none on me because I don’t travel with cash, which I felt horrible about. I am going to try to find an ATM for my bank and go back to tip her. Make sure you bring cash for a tip because these nail techs def deserve it!!

I came in today for a pedicure and full set and also got my eyebrows waxed. Every worker was nice and welcoming the prices are amazing. Hannah is the bomb, she’s so sweet. She really took her time and catered to my feet during my pedicure she was never rude disrespectful, nor did she rush my pedicure. Treatment like this definitely makes me want to come back and don’t mind tipping!

I hadn’t gotten a pedicure since I gave birth three months ago and I desperately needed one. Michael definitely got me together. And he did a great massage.

Staff was very kind and attentive with my aging mother. They do a great job and the polish lasts a long time as well. Used clean tools from the autoclave machine which I appreciated.Will definitely be returning!

Miss Linda and Lee were so nice to us and they did a fantastic job . my sister, nephew and I went today. my nephew was one so he likes to be a part of everything that we do and after finishing my sister see Miss Linda grabbed my nephew and sat with him and cut and file his nails and toenails . she was so sweet 💙 . definitely a fantastic establishment

Been a customer for a little over a year here and normally every visit is great! However, i got a new set of gel nails and a pedicure by Linda and she didnt really listen to what i wanted. The nails on one hand are shorter than the other and both hands are poorly filed, plus she was super rough with my pedicure and full set.. I wont stop coming here because this is the only time in the past year something went wrong.. may go back in and get them fixed though

ALAN IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I have been to this place a few times because I had a friend who referred me. My past two experiences were decent but I kept leaving thinking... ehhh... I’ve had better. Until today. Went in and my ONLY complaint is that I had an appointment scheduled for an acrylic fill at 4pm and wasn’t seen until 430. Not a huge deal but I know for some people it can be an issue so just wanted to point that out. I was sat down with Alan, who was AMAZING. Gentle, kind, made great small talk and didn’t judge my needs or roll his eyes or talk to other people while he did my nails. He focused all on me and making sure I was comfortable. He did an amazing job. Exactly what I wanted and discounted me on my service because of the poor job the originally lady had done when I went in for my original acrylic set. I HIGHLY recommend you do book with him if you do decide to go here. I haven’t had as good of an experience there with anyone else.

I enjoy the great ambiance of this nail salon. The receptionist (owner) is very kind and welcoming ! The nail technicians are conscious of respecting your time and do AMAZING work! I normally go in with a picture of what I would like that day and my usual technician does an astoundingggg job of mirroring it! Thank you for always delivering GREAT service and wonderful work!!! Really nice place. We are just in town for the day & did a walk-in, we didnt have to wait long, they got to us fairly quickly & even seated us together for our pedicures. I also had my eyebrows waxed. The staff were very nice as well as courteous. The next time we are in town we will definitely visit again!

My visit to VIP nails was excellent. I had a 2pm appt for a gel mail mani & Reg pedi with wax. I was taken back at 2:03 after selecting my nail color. I observed the cleanliness and care that was displayed in the salon. Rated it a 9. My technician Linda was excellent. Communicated well and.was very attentive. Her nail work was neat and precise. I will definitely be going back.

It was my first time going to this nail shop. My experience was the most horrible I’ve ever had at a nail salon and I have been getting my nails done for years. The place is nice and appeared to be clean. But my nails were/are horrible. They let a young man do them that obviously does not have a lot of experience. I informed the desk person I was a first time customer. The male he assigned to do my nails I showed him a picture of what I wanted, he states he could do them. So I was confident he could. He should have told me in order to get the look I wanted I would need to do a full set or at least explain to me that the look I wanted was done with acrylic and couldn’t be done with gel. I’m not a nail tech so I did not know but him being a professional nail tech should have informed me of this. I wanted ombré nails and what I received looks like stained white gel polish. And the picture I showed him is one of the pictures from their actual website so I was sure I would get what I wanted.

My nails are absolutely butchered. the acrylic is too thick, the shape is not what i asked for, and the polish is in my nail bed/cuticules. not to mention the polish is also milky and i can see right through it. i’m not coming back here again and i seriously wish i refused to pay this much

I first came to this salon for a birthday treat to myself back in October after reading lots of positive reviews. I had an amazing pedicure and awesome manicure, so I came back a few weeks later. That manicure was okay, so I came back when I needed a fill. My fill did not go well. I do the dipping powder and the top coat starting chipping away within a few days, and after about a week, my thumb nail broke. I had received a 10% off services email, so I decided to give them one more chance. Today, I got Michael and probably had the best manicure I’ve ever had! In looking at my nails prior to getting started, he asked where I got my last manicure and identified all the things that were wrong. He took his time, he was very thorough, and paid attention to every subtle detail. I am so pleased with how many nails turned out, that I will be calling for appointments with Michael. I’ve never found one person that I stuck with at the many salons I’ve tried, and I think I finally have!

This place is a jewel on Chesapeake, VA. They are great nail technicians and good business people. My technician is Henry is awesome doing nails and listen to what I want all the time. However, every other technician I had worked with has done a great job. I highly recommend this place, consistency and customer service at is finest.

Ive been going to this salon for a few months and at first I was happy. Ive been going to Hannah and my nails were pretty good. These last couple of times my nails have not been that great and havent lasted. They start lifting after just a couple of days and then start fully coming off. Almost 2 weeks ago I had my set completely taken off by Hannah and had her start completely from scratch. This brand new set should last right? Nope. After only 3 days 2 nails started lifting and came off on my left hand. On my right hand I have 3 that are lifting as well and this started on day 5. If it costs 50 for a full set and 40 for a fill my nails should be lasting and not lifting. I am very disappointed in this salon. I have a hectic work schedule so I cant just go and get a couple nails fixed after work or just do a walk in. Ive been having to walk around with pretty halloween nails on some fingers and none on the rest. Definitely not happy with my experiences lately at this salon. I have made an appointment at a different salon since I wont be coming back to this one.

I normally don’t write reviews but thought it was necessary to share my awesome experience at this salon. Winnie and Michael did an amazing job on me and my daughter’s nails. We aren’t regulars and are new to the Chesapeake area so we didn’t know what to expect...so so glad we decided on VIP!! Truly talented-was able to show them an online picture of what we wanted and they executed it flawlessly!! Also, because this was a special outing for me and my daughter, Winnie went out of her way, moved all of her nail tech items to another area just to ensure we sat together-BEST.CUSTOMER.SERVICE.YET. This will be our go-to location for nails from now on.

I have been going to VIP since they have opened.Customer service is great. The ambiance is great, too. Jenny is the only person I let touch my nails. Every design I showed her, she executed it to perfection. If you visit VIP and don’t know who to go to, go to JENNY she will get you right every time.

I have been a long time customer here since they first open and honestly i don’t know if i will go back. I went in for a pedicure and decided to upgrade and spend an little money on my self and pay for the $40 pedicure.. it was the worst pedicure i have ever had! The gentleman was very nice but clearly does not like feet , he did not clean around the nails or under them barely pushed back the cuticles did not cut or clean out the corners... didn’t message my feet barely messaged my legs... honestly I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of work.

The lady that owns the place is very friendly. My husband and I came for our anniversary. I never get my nails done but i thought it would be something different so we went. I left very satisfied with my service. The owner and I had an entire conversation on building generational wealth while she was doing my nails. Ive been coming here for almost a year. But todays appointment was greatly disappointing. The customer service at the front desk was less than acceptable. Im not sure the young mans name but he currently has a broken foot.....he refused to completely honor the birthday coupon they sent to me.....he only refunded $12 of the $16 owed (10% off) we spent $160.....$175 including tip! I will not be back after traveling over an hour for service and then to have to argue over $4. They can have it, and not worry about the next $160 I wouldve spent had the service been better.Also to note, the nail tech applied mismatch rhinestones after I told him NOT to!This one bad experience on my birthday weekend, has definitely ended my relationship with this business.

The technician with short hair, they called she Hairis (I could not remember axactly), gave me dirty looks within the first moment. Ive been here several times and had great experience. But this time, my pedicure was horrible, she skipped steps, and did very quick. I felt like she tried to kick me out as quick as possible so she could take another client in. I will never go back if they not changing! would not recommend to come here on the weekend!

Took my daughter as a last minute surprise before she flies back to college. Overall very clean and professional looking salon. I had Victoria, she was great. My daughter had Michael. She told me that he was very off-putting, barely spoke, got in an argument with another worker in their language right in front of her, got mad when he messed up her nail and had to redo it... so I guess your experience will depend on which technician takes care of you.

This is the most AWESOME place ever! ProfessionaI, knowledgeable, clean, well lit....., a beautiful place with genuinely nice staff!!!! I love it there! I found this place because I had to walk out of the nail shop across the street from them due to rudeness, inconsideration and just basically horrible services. I will not spend my money in any place that refuses to acknowledge me when I enter for services, which incidentally, Ive walked out of many nail shops for the same reasons. After leaving that place and walking into VIP, was literally like night and day!!!!! I was greeted immediately upon entering and received the best service on my nails Ive ever had!!! VIP has really shown me that they know what good customer service is and they know how to take care of their customers!

This is my first time leaving a bad review but Im convicted to say that me and my mother were treated VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY. I called a day prior to ensure an appointment for BOTH of us with a specific nail tech. The nail tech took me in first and the employees SAID that they would take care of us both (because I made the appointment for both of us...right?!). NO! That didn’t happen. While I was getting my nails done my mom was just sitting there. She sat there for 2 HOURS. Then after my nails were done the nail tech walked away and the receptionist came over and said that they didn’t have both of us down for an appointment. So my mom wasted 2 hours waiting for NOTHING. I don’t know what to be more upset about...the fact that we were naively led to believe that we were going to be taken care of, or the wasted hours spent waiting in expectation. This also makes me question if our race came into play (were both black women). Often times in a professional environment it is common for people of color to be overlooked, neglected, and simply treated unequally. No matter what it was, we will NEVER be coming back. On top of that this isn’t our first negative experience here! Thought this time would be different. Save your money and time. Extremely unprofessional.

Got a wonderful hair color and cut

I had Michael as a nail tech for a fill in and he was fine until I showed him the picture of what I wanted. After that he was very annoyed with me. I asked for three different gel colors and he laughed in my face, which is completely unprofessional. I have been to this nail salon multiple times without any issues, and every one else I’ve had has been more than accommodating and friendly.I don’t appreciate being laughed at and I do not appreciate the poor quality that was done once he found out I wanted something “complicating” after paying $50 for this service, mind you I got a fill in which I was told it was only $25 and am leaving more than unsatisfied I wanted to warn anyone else going to the salon.I will not be coming back to this salon after coming here for 4 years you have lost a customer. My nails still had glue all over them and you can clearly see that they were done poorly, and to be charged that price and to be laughed at is insanely unprofessional and unacceptable

NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I GO TO THS PLACE AGAIN!!!!!!! lady at the desk was VERY RUDE. Im new to the area and was looking for a new nail tech. I asked for a regular acrylic full set, long and coffin. I had the man Michael which my nails they came out all different shapes, sizes, and lengths the polish was a mess acrylic left around nails. By far this just has been one of the worst experiences ever. I could have done this shxt myself, it looks like a 13 yr old work. AND THEN charged me $55 dollars when I was told $25 for a regular full set.

My nail tech Helen was outstanding and did and excellent job. My paraffin pedicure and full set was beautiful. I was very happy with her service. I will definitely be back for my next appointment.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is so nice. They know what they are doing and they take their time and make sure you love your nails. I havent had a bad experience ever and I have been here twice. The pedicures are so relaxing and amazing. When they do your nails, they dont rush. They make you feel welcomed and they make sure you leave happy! I will definitely be back!

My experience overall was good. My nail tech took her time on my pedicure and manicure, I felt like she gave me quality service. However, when I was getting my eyebrows waxed and opened my eyes during the service, her mask was pulled under her chin. I was extremely uncomfortable with that. I kept my eyes closed to protect them but I expect the technician mask to be on at all times especially when you are directly in my face where I can feel your breathing.During this time of the pandemic it’s no time to get comfortable and careless

So I stopped into this salon last June as I was passing through town. I am moving to the area in a month and I made sure I was within close range of this salon so that it could be my go-to! These are my pink and white after 1 week: in my opinion: fabulous. After a week of washing dishes and changing diapers, no lifting or cracking. Prices are fair and I will definitely be back to VIP Nails.

I was in there last Saturday with family and friends. Now a week later my gel polishes completely off three nails and chipped off on theee others. This was my first experience with any nail salon and up until this happened I was pleased. I live in Ohio so it isnt like I can go in and have them fixed.

My husband gets manicures and he has been with Jen for over 10 years. When Jen moved from another salon we followed her and will not go to anyone else. We love Jen!

Today, 2/22/2020 is my 2nd visit here. 1st time my nails were perfectly done by Shelley. I had a bad set on and she gave me a fill, filed some acrylic down and shaped them up great! Today I was with Nat and she was great!! I soaked the set off since my nails had grown out, got an acrylic overlay (because apparently the only thing I know how to do is Hulk smash my nails, so just gel is a no-go for me), no tips, filed them down & got gel color. Nat took her time and gradually soaked and filed the acrylic off without doing harm to my natural nails, exactly how I wanted it done. I will be returning to this salon. The energy was fantastic, the employees were helpful to one another and I enjoyed the experience!👍🏼

Looking for a cool, hip, down to earth place to get your nails done? THIS IS THE SPOT!!! I have never been to such a diverse nail salon and spa. Everyone is so friendly and easy to talk to! DIXIE is SUCH an amazing tech who pays attention to DETAIL, makes sure you’re COMFORTABLE, and gets me done in a TIMELY manner. Also, these people make miracles because I butchered my own big toe nail doing God knows what and SHELLY threw some acrylic on my big toe and Michaelangelo’d it to PERFECTION. I mean, it is the most beautiful big toe moment I have ever had in my life (damn, I should have had her do the other one!). I’m just thrilled I don’t have mutant looking feet for this wedding coming up. Long story short- sterile instruments, clean, experienced nail techs, and not too shabby on the wallet- I highly recommend VIP NAILS AND SPA.

I asked for a pink and white fill in. The girl didn’t know what to do. I had to explain what I was wanting. She tried but they were awful.

This is the best salon I have ever been to. It’s very up to date and friendly. I go here for Shana though. Her work is unmatched. I have went way past needing a fill because I will only go to her. She answers all questions I have and she pays attention to detail. And that look you’re scared to let someone try?? She will not only try it, but kill it.
