Mrs.Patricia Hammersly has been Hod sent and I’m at a lost for words my emotions is everywhere but the right place she is patient she is gracious she has a natural gift of compassion and helping you cope even if it’s just to listen and talk her head off she asked permission to pray for me her prayers got me 3 interviews and I started that job today! Ask I showered after 10 long hours I received her call while in shower I rinsed while listening to my heart become flooded with huh what why how this it was a moment of paralysis I couldn’t really process it was it Covid19 no financial difficulties like how do you dispose of such caring workers how do you just disregard the patients who like my son my sister myself all medicine checks tomorrow and Wednesday it’s enough to become mind boggling I’m done

Christian psychotherapy is an actual joke. I have been a patient getting medication with them since March and for 7 days straight i had called multiple times a day in attempt to get my medication refilled. No one would help me and no progress was made all week. This week, i come to find out that they shut their doors Saturday night permanently. What medical provider fails to let their medication dependent patients aware of a closure. That joke of a company lead me on for a week with NO warning of what was ahead. So now, I am one of hundreds of patients without medication and therapy VITAL to somes wellbeing and LIFE

The best front desk staff that I have encountered in a while. Staff is very patient and thorough. Definitely would recommend.

If you do not mind receiving less than mediocre service and talking with staff that dont care about you then this is the place to go to. I gave them a try for one of my family members and was very disappointed after only the 1st appointment. The doctor acted as though she did not care and talked over my family member, instead of listening to him. When I left a message after the 1st appointment for the doctor to call us back because we had a question, the medical assistant was in a hurry to get me off the phone and we never received a phone call back. Here we are a month later and still no call back. We have already switched to another practice after only one visit. Very disappointed!

The reviews indicating that the office staff is rude to the patients would be 100% accurate. Once I am able to find a new doctor I will be leaving this one because the office staff is so very rude. On top of that they aren’t very informative or direct when providing any type of information. In addition to my statement Amber the medical assistant is the worst human I’ve ever met and she’s quite the liar. Not good for a medical career. Don’t come here please the positive reviews are fake this place thrives on people that have no other choices because of one reason or another. Please don’t come to this location.

Because of covid I wasnt able to take my son in who is 8 because I have other children that I couldnt get a baby sitter for. The head director told me to find a new place to take him since i couldnt accommodate my other children for her convenience. Now my son doesnt have the medicine he needs and I cant find a new doctor for him. This place is so unprofessional.

I just witnessed a conversation between a concerned father and the rudest, most unprofessional individual that shouldn’t be anywhere near a mental health facility. It’s simply disheartening to hear someone speak with no compassion or understanding for another’s human being’s (esp a child) well-being. She was asked to take a note for the mental health provider because the inbox was full and instead of doing so she complained and talked over the patient’s father. I pray she sees this and God changes her heart because to continue treat people with such disregard is not behavior of someone who loves Christ. As I read other reviews I am completely sure we all have had encounters with this individual. I will be speaking with the office manage whether in person or over the phone, putting me on hold for forever will not prevent any action from taking place for your unprofessional, and rude behavior.

If there was a zero rating thats what I would give this place! It started when I called to check the time of my daughters appointment, the lady on the phone acted like I was a major inconvenience to her, I should of canceled the appointment then. When I arrived to my daughters new patient appointment the receptionist (that had her feet folded up in the chair, very unprofessional may I say) glared at me through the glass window and took a while to acknowledge me. I have never encountered such a rude group of people! I was immediately asked for photo Id,insurance card and $20 and thrown a clipboard with about 10 pages of paperwork to complete. The paperwork was repetitive and asked very detailed questions, I feel like I could of filled the paper work out better if it would of been mailed to me ahead of time. Once I filled out the 25 minutes of paperwork we were called back within a few minutes. The lady introduced herself and said she was a counselor here( were referred to see a doctor who could prescribe medications) and she began to ask us questions (the same questions we filled out in the paperwork that she didnt have) she had no clue why we were there nor did she have all the past medical records that were faxed over ahead of time. The counselor argued with me about the medical history I gave her and kept insisting my daughter had autism and pretty much forced me to fill out the form(so they can charge my insurance and get more money) of course 99% of the answers on the form were no/never! The counselor finally realized she was no help to us and said she could refer us to one of the doctors in her practice ( which we were initially supposed to see) and we were sent on our way. The lady at the check out counter had the most personality out of the entire office before scheduling our appointment she gave us a lecture about keeping our next appointment (we have only had one appointment scheduled kept it and showed up early) she then offered us an appointment to come back and see the doctor and the appointment was 3 months away(we waited 2 months for this appointment.) Long story short they are rude and only want your copay! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

Been taking my granddaughter and my daughter there for a little while & Im not impressed with the place at all, not one little bit.Updated: My granddaughters have been going there for awhile now. Front office workers are pathetic when it comes to customer service.I can tell you this, I have personally witnessed its just an in and out thing with them as long as they get paid!!! The office workers are very rude all the time!My daughter was referred to someone in that office by someone in that office for additional testing. when the testing day came, we were all of a sudden told they couldnt be done in one visit. When we asked about it, the woman told us we should have known that they had to split the testing up and be charged twice. When I asked her how we were supposed to know that, she said the woman that referred you should have told you that!! DUH!!! youre doing the testing??? Then on the next day the testing was supposed to be finished the woman didnt even show up to do the testing. I guess because we called the insurance company and told them they split it up, the insurance company told me there was no reason they couldnt do it in one day!!Finally, I had to change my granddaughters to a different therapist at the same location, very good results so far with Mary, have no issues with the therapy its the front office that is terrible. They make their own rules, then they want to be rude to you like you are the problem!! The office staff is just unbelievable, its obvious to everyone but no one is doing anything about it. Customers should definitely read the reviews before coming here.

Im dumbfounded by how rude the office staff was. My original appointment was cancelled and they never notified me. They said they called, but chose not to leave a message so we showed up to find our appointment had been cancelled. We decided to wait a little longer for an evaluation and when I called back to make another appointment they were no longer doing evaluations under my insurance and Linda was extremely rude about it. My son needs help.....and you have no compassion.

Awful, I wasn’t help with my issues and they didn’t pay back for the total amount they took when I copay, for example, I was suppose $75 for appointment and the rest was buy by my insurance, instead I paid $575. Go find a better counseling place, this isn’t it.

I should read reviews before going there. The test took 2 hrs answering multiple options questions on a computer and they charged 8 hrs. After the test I googled it and found the same free tests online. It could be ok if they deliver the test report with experts name and credentials for me to use it. They scheduled a day to deliver the test results. When I came to get the reports one older doctor read me the output from the software used for testing and charged me for 1hr. I read the same while doing the same tests on Google. Later I checked this doctors license and found that it was suspended for 2 years when he was younger for inappropriate lapping of a patients body. This doctor walked me to check out to schedule for a follow up meeting. I asked for the test reports and they said that the reports have been already delivered to me verbally. I was confused by this delivery method. However, considering the specialty of this business, I supported the conversation about the verbal delivery. I asked for another copy explaining the one already delivered is difficult to read and I was charged for 1 hr so giving me a readable copy should be ok. They said that they will work on the better copy when they have time. When I asked when they will have time they went offensive on me. The conflict was developing in front a dozen people waiting for their turn. They did not give me the date when I can get my reports. I left with nothing. Filing a statement with the insurance about failure of provider to deliver. Moving my business to a different provider.P.S. They called me later for a follow up session and promised to deliver the printed copy of the verbal report that has been already delivered to me and has been paid. Promised a free printed copy. I offered my email to make it easy for them to deliver. But they wanted me to come in order to charge me for another appointment. They kept the promise. I have received my test reports on paper via mail and the text in my reports was nearly identical to what internet online tests gave me for free. I think they did not want to deliver the report by email because I could google the reported text and find the same on the internet discovering that the subject test is widely available for Internet users. I think the reason why they did not want to give me any documents at all is because they most likely have experience in giving incorrect diagnoses and prescriptions. So they did not want me to take the document to another expert to get a second opinion. But to give a credit to this place I have to tell that I have resolved my issues partially thanks to the conflict over verbal reports delivery. I did more detailed Internet research and identified the root causes myself. It worked out for me after all.

Went to my appointment last week and I told the counselor that I was grafing and turn around she and told me I guess we put u in the mental hospital. Whats out without asking do I had a support system or anything she she just came out and said we put you in a mental hospital

Each person that I’ve spoken with for anything have been quite accommodating and have been helpful. I appreciate you all for being patient, kind, and understanding. You guys handle a lot. You need to know that you do well.

I have literally never encountered a service that was this horrendous in my whole life. I have had 3 different appointments at the Suffolk office with this practice. Each time, I have shown up to my appointment, only to be told that my doctor was not in today. They didnt even have the courtesy to call me and give me a heads up. How can this happen 3 different times? It is absolutely ridiculous and I highly recommend finding somewhere else for your psychotherapy needs. They are very inconsiderate and not professional in any way.

Do not answer phone. NEED TO HIRE MORE PEOPLE. NEVER GIVEN A DIAGNOSIS BUT WAS PRESCRIBED MED. NOW THEY WONT EVEN SEND ME MY OWN RECORDS W/O ME GOING DOWN AND SIGNING A RELEASE!!! THERE 2.7 RATING IS TOO HIGH. I NEED HELP BUT THEY DO NOT SEEN VERY PROFESSIONAL

Jenifer Mellilo treats my family wonderfully with compassion and we leave feeling like people not numbers.Overall most of the staff are professional and kind there are some that do come across as if they are being bothered just by the act of doing their job, an d.c. tend to forget the glass they sit behind is not soundproof.

I had a big problem with both accounting and the therapist. The accounting made no sense to me. I agree with the other one star user, they seem more focused on self righteousness and they take a snippet of information and blow it out of context to fit into their black or white thinking. I felt like I was under interrogation and left wanting to do suicide. It was really bad.

If you are looking for smart Dependable people who are very eager to only take all of your money and screw you over then these are the people that you need for your health care and I recommend them to anybody who wants all of their money stolen from them by this crooked system

The Virginia Beach office is easy to find although parking lot is crowded. You usually only have a relitivaly short wait time for your appointment. The front desk employees are friendly and helpful for the most part. Med management councilor is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. Works with you to find the correct medication for you personally and checks up constantly to make sure there are no bad side effects. Meds are thoroughly explained so you know what to expect with each medication and how soon to expect results. If you have questions/ concerns between appointments they call you back promptly. Also makes themselves knowagbale of any other medical information you wish them to have. I’ve never been so satisfied with any therapist, councilor or even MD..... period! You know they really actually care which is hard to find. Also, if you are not even really religious they don’t make you feel out of place or feel as if religion pushed on you.

If you can get past the rude receptionist, the Drs are wonderful. They seriously need new receptionist though. I would give the doctors 5 stars and the receptionists 0 stars.

They waited until the day of my appointment to tell me they didnt accept my insurance. The first question I asked them when making the appointment was do they accept my insurance. After waiting a month for my appointment, they called to cancel but said I could still come but would have to pay out of pocket for all visits. Now Im waiting another month to be seen somewhere else.

The experience I had today was horrendous. The front desk woman at the Virginia Beach location has made it so my family will NEVER be returning to them. She cancelled an appointment with out our consent because my husband was in a car accident that we had told them about and then treated us like dirt because we were late. I hope she reads this and KNOWS that her attitude and ineptitude to be a decent human being has caused the doctors office to lose a patient.

My last visit with Dr Boggus was very upsetting! instead of helping me, I felt attract, belittled, insulted, and he used passive aggressive sarcasm with a little smirk to top it off! I was so uncomfortable I shut down and the section became completely unproductive.The receptionists are friendly, Dr. Smith is OK. But as for Dr. Boggus, I have lost all respect for him and I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO Christian Psychotherapy! From the looks of the last several reviews with the exception of one, this practice is clearly GOING DOWN HILL!!

The front staff is rude every time i come in. I thought it was just me and looking at other reviews I see now its not. Im always in a good mood and polite when I check in, I get ignored, looked at like Im beneath them and not worth their time. I even talked to the manager and obviously that didnt help. Apparently they dont care if we are treated like dirt. I love marie stone. But when I told Dr. boggus that I was even more depressed, he didnt care. He just told me to tell my counselor. Im switching Drs. Within the practice only because I dont want to start over. Its a pain in the ass just as much as dealing with the front staff. Mostly its the girl who sits on the right side Thats so rude. And I was literally just told I cant schedule an appt until I pay my $10.30 copay from today. What is wrong with these ppl. Ive feel sorry for people who need help and dont have the money to pay right away. Im changing from this place. Im done.

A really horrible company who seems to really value a dollar over the clients wellfare. They have tons of undisclosed fees that come up and if you do not have insurance they will really get you.

The Greenbrier location was very kind and professional. The receptionist had a listening ear and worked very diligently to assist with my issues.
