Alex was my salesperson though I spoke to a lot of people through the process. I came for an appraisal and left with a new [used] car. I never felt pressured. I was there alone so I felt a little scared, but it was just because I’m only 21 leasing a car. But I feel as though you can trust them and nothing deceptive can come about this establishment. Everyone that helped me through my process of trading in my car helped tremendously and was really friendly and patient. They let me take the car to work to get a true test drive and by the time I bought the car back after I got off work I was ready to buy it. They worked with me because I’m a college student so I don’t make much, so a lot of the programs they want you to get like the exterior protection program to protect your car from sun/plant/animal dropping damage so that was an unexpected add on to my already settled monthly price, and the protection mechanical wise was a lot too. However Mr. Frank made it that it would be ready affordable to add that on too. I will recommend them to anyone. Thank you guys!

My 2018 F-150 just had the rear window implode. Nothing hit it, simply just broke. When I called I was told that they do not do windows and it would not be covered under warranty. My truck has 19,400 miles. I have extended warranty. No good. As I was told, they do not make the rules. BUYER BEWARE! My family has been a FORD Family for 50 years. I think it is time to look elsewhere. Sad, sad day for FORD Customers!

This was the absolute easiest car buying experience I’ve ever had. I’m out of state. I live in New Jersey. I sent them descriptive pictures of my vehicle and they offered me the most for my trade out of many other dealers I inquired with. They even delivered my vehicle to New Jersey, picked up my trade and drove it back to Virginia. The sales manager and sales associate were very attentive to my needs the entire purchasing process. They were also able to offer me some dealer incentives and discounts during these difficult times in car buying. I was happy with everything. No gimmicks, no pressure to purchase warranties if you don’t want them. Great dealer. I highly recommend. Thanks!

Nikolay, our sales rep, was such a pleasure and put forth incredible effort to get us approved for financing and into our dream car with the help of Kirby, the used car sales manager. (No easy feat due to our less than ideal credit scores.) We drove almost 2 hours there just to see this one particular car and Im incredibly happy we landed at such a great dealership in the process. I highly recommend doing business with them and hope we have the opportunity to do so again in the future!

Ok, I dropped a work vehicle there to get serviced, I understand a lot of companies are under staffed, thats fine, not an issue, I wouldnt have mind keeping the rental longer, my issue is, I have called, my company has called, the rental company has called, no answer... left messages, no return call to get updates. The only call I got back was 2 months later to let me know when my vehicle was ready.

Had to get the third brake light fixed so was advised to take it to the dealership. Cavalier Lincoln in Chesapeake. Although it was expensive none of the other places I went. were able to handle the repair. The service advisor supervisor, Sharon, took care of my problem and she advised me of each phase as it happened. I have nothing but good things to say about the service and respect I received during this time. A big thank you for Sharon. You are a good face for the company.

Disappointed with Cavalier Ford located in the Chesapeake Square Mall because I made an appointment to have my truck serviced on July 2nd, 2021 and upon arriving at the dealership on the appointment date I was told I did not have an appointed. I presented to the service representative a copy of the email received from Cavalier Ford confirming the appointment of July 2nd, but all the employee could tell me was that it was not in their system. Therefore, I had no appointment scheduled for the 2nd, and they couldnt help me. No apologies offered for their mismanagement just we cant help you. Poor service, Im very disappointed. Now I have to take more time off my work for the new appointment they gave me for July 9th and if I dont work I dont get paid. Thank you Cavalier Ford for your mismanagement and lack of customer service.

Horrible service dept. Daniel will lie to you and on you. The managers don’t do much to remedy any situation. Every time you talk to Daniel the story changes. They charged me for services that were never performed. They did refund me for it but if I didn’t know better they would’ve gotten one over on me. Don’t trust these guys, especially not Daniel. I’ve had to return three time to have anything done and I’m still leaving unhappy as they have just can’t seem to do right by me. I’ve been coming here for at least 5 years and I’m never coming here again!

Was considering buying a new vehicle here but after dealing with the NIGHTMARE of a service department I will go elsewhere for sales and service. They never answer the phone, not to schedule a service or to check on the status. I have been here for countless oil changes and 3 recalls. The first recall in my truck they forgot to reconnect the door latch. Two days after I got it back I realized this when my passenger couldn’t get out and had to crawl across the seat of my 3 year old truck, embarrassing and inconvenient. Second recall took 6 months of back and fourth to finish. The final straw was them taking two days to do an oil change and check another recall. They held on to it without any updates but got to busy and decided they could only do the oil change. When I went to check out they charged me more than what the service cost when I had scheduled it online (since they wouldn’t answer the phone). When I brought it up they just said sorry didn’t realize the Ford website was a better price, and had to refund my card. No one at cavalier Ford takes their job seriously, this place is a joke. Dirty used vehicles and a service department worse than a corner gas station. Watch out for the price gouging and go elsewhere!

They did help to get me into a vehicle I tried to give back the 4th day after purchase. Would not take it back.I was told, I was up to something. I placed a down payment on a stormy weekend and by the forth day discovered some type of energy pull. Explained. Tryed to trade after while. Not without a couple more thousand though. Go figure. Later discovered ecm was crossed up from the beginning. After properly put in , the true indicators then revealed air bag light and wires like headlights and windows had to be rewired to work properly. $2600 ecm, later in repairs, unreadable diagnostics, spark changes, battery and alternator. Now transmission... Of course! The whole thing was rigged including the original car fax given to me at the time of purchase. In April 2020, while still working to keep this aweful agreement in good standing, 3 accidents! Air bag deployed! Never again! They offered me $500 on a trade in bit i owe $5700 + on their own vehicle! Trash! I had the vehicle towed and had no other recourse but to leave it. My money effort and credit unnecessarily stripped from a mistake I made going to this dealership and because used car sales specialist in the beginning said Youre up to something. As a black woman, I feel robbed because of the whole statement and situation!

This place is absolutely horrible! I took my truck in for inspection and they some how managed to completely lock my ignition and steering. After having to go to their service manager because I was told to get it towed and fixed somewhere else, they finally agreed to fix it on their dime as they are the ones that broke it. After I get it back I do not get my original key chain that I gave them, which had other keys on it, as well as my power steering is broken. I have tried to contact them about my stuff and nobody is answering the phone and nobody will return calls when you leave voicemails. While driving home after they finally fix it the truck just randomly dies multiple times. I have never had a single problem with this truck power steering was fine and it never randomly died until after I got it back from this place and when I finally get it home I find out that the keys do not come out of the brand new ignition. I heavily advise that nobody ever brings a vehicle here to be serviced because they are not competent in what they do.

I dropped my truck off on Wednesday Feb 17th for an issue with with the alarm system. Thet called Thursday morning stating they had to order parts. They could be in that afternoon but could be longer. I called Friday afternoon and left a message that way I could get an update but no call back. I called twice on Saturday to talk with Mike but he never answered his phone. I called again Monday and left a message but never received a return call. I called again Tuesday and asked to be transferred to the service manager. I left a message because he did not answer. I finally got a call back from Mike hours later. Picked up the truck late Tuesday and reviewed the invoice the next day. I had a miscellaneous charge of 36.99. I was explained it was for use of rags that is added to everyone. They charged me more for parts than my extended warranty covered. Mike told me they they dont have the lowest prices and doesnt really care if the warranty could find the exact same part elsewhere for cheaper. When we buy vehicles from these dealerships we get promised the best service department available. I guess this is just a tactic to make the sale. The service department never lives up to the promises.*******UPDATED***************I had to return to the dealship today because my truck was not properly repaired the first time. The technician neglected to make sure everything was working properly. The parking aid was not working due to their failure to program the new module. This cost me a day off work and gas to return the truck to get the repair done. No apologies from the service department. They did make a offhand comment about computers in todays cars. They one positive I can say is that they did get me in and out pretty quickly today.

Phone calls to schedule vehicle service go to a voice mail abyss. No one calls you back. The online appointment booking system has no open dates. When you call and beg to talk to a person, you get a friendly person who is trying to hold down the fort, but not informed. If youre in the market for a car, I would investigate the status of the service department before making a decision. I went to a competition who was on top of their game. If I was the GM, Id move into the service dept. until things were operating like they should.

I was watching a lightly used SUV on Cavaliers lot for some time and the price finally came down where I wanted. So, I took a day and went to multiple dealers getting offers on my 2014.5 Camry. Now, keep in mind Cavalier has a GIANT sign out front that says “WE PAY MORE THAN CARMAX.” I naturally started at CarMax and worked my way back to them with five offers in hand regardless if I bought a car from the other dealers or not. Oddly enough, CarMax presented me with the best offer to buy my vehicle and with this is mind, I went in and asked for an appraisal. No BS, no games just a straight appraisal and offer for what you’d pay me for my Camry if I handed you the keys and title today. I had to pretend to be shocked, because not only was their offer LOW, but it was actually the lowest of all offers I had gotten. So when I inquired about the sign out front stating, “WE PAY MORE THAN CARMAX,” the managers behind the desk literally started chuckling. I got the joke, but I inquired further about the laughter, only to be told that’s really just a gimmick to get people in the door and they never truly intend on competing with CarMax written offers. They actually suggested I “run to them because they’d never come close to offering that any day of the week.” I pushed further and they informed me that even though the sign says what it says, without any fine print, they just aren’t going to honor it and they stated with my CarMax offer being double their offer, it wasn’t worth their time. I actually did enter Cavalier Ford with the intention of purchasing the SUV on their lot at my desired price provided they had simply matched the CarMax offer like the GIANT sign out front says. This has given me an awful taste in my mouth in regards to the Cavalier Dealer network, even though up to this point I’d had good experiences, this just screams false/misleading advertising and bad salesmanship. Be weary about going in to this network of dealers and thinking you’ll get fair value for your trade, because they wouldn’t “come close to it any day of the week.”

Took my car to this dealership for a diagnostic and repair for a airbag light. I waited for the diagnostic to be complete I watched the customers ahead of me use their debit and credit cards to pay for their services with out being asked for any form of ID. I did not have to wait long for the diagnostic and the older gentleman that greeter me was very polite and professional. I went to the cashier window to pay for the diagnostic and parts to have my issue fixed. I handed the young man (who assisted everyone before me) my debit card he hands it right back to me saying your ID is required with this card. So I simply stated what I witnessed with the customers ahead of me. He just stood there and smiled. I had my ID on my person but that’s not the point. The elderly gentleman came up and told me not to worry about it until after services were complete. Today I arrived to pay for services and to pick up my car. My Fiancé was with me he used his debit card and No one asked to see his ID...I feel that everyone should be treated the same. I will not be back

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I brought my car in because it smelled like gas inside my car. Didn’t think much of it, just wanted to have it looked at. As soon as they popped the hood they found oil from my recent oil change at “Take 5 Oil” everywhere and that the technician at “Take 5 Oil” never put the cap back on. The company was refusing to pay for all that needed to be done and these guys really went to bat for me. I’m 5 months pregnant, new to town, with a husband out at sea. I had nobody to help me but these mechanics and customer service reps and managers treated me like family — and took care of all of it in one day so I could go to work. I know very little about cars and engines and I have been taken advantage of in the past by other mechanics, but these guys are the real, honest deal. If you want a good, quick service by RELIABLE people who actually care about you and not just how much money they can get you for, go to these guys.

They followed CDC and VA guidelines for Covid safety while simultaneously giving us a great deal on the vehicle we wanted, our trade-in, and valuing our time. Never buy here!! I repeat never.. they will sell you anything just so they do not have to fix the car purchased from there lot! They lie to get a dollar instead of being honest. Told me something was broke on my car that was in fact-checked the day prior with results already given only so they try and sell me another car and I only had this one for maybe 2 years. This company needs to be honest I don’t believe them and would not spend another dollar. The service department does not even know what is going on one person calls than another calls to say the opposite. Then the sales people call and act as if the are service members lying about car parts they can’t fix. Smh this is a mess and I cannot wait to stop dealing with them. So no car after a month and a half still accept raise my payments 300 more dollars smh. The BBB should know about this!!!!
