This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. The supervisor or owner actually use profanity to me regarding what I wanted done to my home. They tried overcharging me and at the same time offered me a discount. But the price was still ridiculous. If anyone have any dealing with this incompetent company be sure to get a second opinion just in case. I wish there was a negative rating option.

I have been with TriStar for 26 years I have nothing bad to say about TriStar they all treated me good more like a family atmosphere all the way down to the president actually talk one-in-one with them they have an open door policy they have always found time to listen to someones complaint or their personal problems. they are willing to go out of their way to help individuals if they can president of the company and the vice president of the company they are two good people theyre family-orientated like any other company you have your ups and downs I recommend anyone is out there looking for a job I recommend him to TriStar .

This place doesnt even deserve a star!!Tri-Star was sent to our house through our home warranty, American Home Shield. They were to look at a leak in our AC pan. The technician came to our house completely unprepared-no ladder or tape measure. He was also very unprofessional and tracked mud throughout the house.Shortly after he left, we noticed the temperature inside the house was climbing. The tech came back very upset and stated, “I did not touch anything!” After he tore the back panel off of the system, he said he found a burnt wire and terminal. He said he was not going to change the terminal and would just put the wiring on a different terminal. However, he put a high voltage line on a low voltage terminal. A fireball shot out of my AC unit. He then told me the compressor was the problem, it would cost me $1,500 and he would be back in a week to fix it. It’s July, 100 degrees outside and now 88 degrees inside my house. I said I would call the insurance company in the morning and he should do the same. Then, “Lewis” from Tri-Star, called me and said I was attacking his tech and that I should call the insurance company and tell them I did not want them back on my property. I said I did not attack his tech, all I said was the insurance company needs to get involved because I just want my AC fixed. Lewis repeated that I should tell the insurance company that I don’t want them on my property so I said okay, hung up and was still left with no AC.American Home Shield wanted me to pay $4,900 to replace the system, which their contractor blew up. We tried for six days to get American Home Shield to correct the problem that their referred HVAC company had caused. We lived in discomfort or eight days, as it was 90 degrees inside our home, and had to go out for meals to avoid adding any extra heat (using the oven, stove, etc). American Home Shield would not even inform me the amount I would be reimbursed. Finally, I called our Home Owner’s Insurance, Erie. They took care of the problem in just two days and are seeking reimbursement from Tri-Star and American Home Shield. I would not get involved with either company! Horrible experience!!!

While my experience was not as bad as the other one star review I do have Tri-Star to thank for 3 months of $500+ electric bills and my house climbing into the lower 80s every afternon this past summer. We were connected with Tri-Star through American Home Shield (Another waste of money). My wife first had them come out in June when the downstairs A/C seemed to stop working. They topped the system off with refrigerant, charged us a couple hundred bucks, and went on their merry way.A month later in July I returned home from deployment and noticed that the A/C was not working near as well as it had the previous summers. I felt the downstairs vents and noticed that while the air seemed to be cold it was not blowing near as hard as it normally would. Another call to Tri-Star and another visit. They told us that the A/C was working as well as it should and our system was just unable to keep up because of the abnormally hot weather we were having this past summer. They also said that the system was getting less efficient at about 13 years old.Another month later in August when the abnormally hot weather subsided the A/C was STILL not getting our house below 80 degrees in the late afternoon despite the outside temp being in the low 80s. ANOTHER call the Tri-Star and the tech said he was positive that my A/C was working as it should and that I just needed a new one so he came over to give me an estimate.I never did receive that estimate but while working around the outside of my house I noticed that the air coming out of the sub-base vents was colder than the air in my house...... sure enough upon investigating under the house I found the supply line from the A/C disconnected and more than half of the air cooled by the A/C was being vented below my home. After reconnecting the vent the house immediately cooled down and has been fine ever since. Thanks Tri-Star for being so completely inept as to not even check the vent lines before deciding I needed a new A/C, costing me over $1000 in electric bills, and making my house completely uncomfortable all summer long. If I could give you zero stars, I would.
