Best gym in buffalo! Brand new with brand new functional training area! Astroturf with all TRX brand equipment! Classes, swimming pool, kids club (babysitting), basketball and group training! This club has everything!!

The gym is very clean and the GM was very nice. The girl at the front desk is incredibly rude every time I come to the gym. Don’t understand why but I will definitely be canceling. I know there’s gyms out there that take care of their customers and I don’t think this is one of them

They are taking great measures to ensure that the patrons are safe from the virus.The gym is always clean, the patrons are respectful and Erin is always there to greet you with a smile. And the manager Jamie...forget about it!! Shes amazing. Youll definitely enjoy your workout at this facility.

I recommend never signing up with LA Fitness, our experiences have been nothing but awful and not helpful. Go to a local gym instead.During the 13+ month long pandemic (and still counting), they have only offered to freeze everyone’s accounts for three months total.I’ve had issues where they say that they would freeze my account, as I couldn’t afford it due to losing my job, and then they don’t freeze it and I’m overcharged which is a huge issue when you can’t afford over draft fees or groceries. The customer service line that I needed to call to fix this situation are always rude and snobby, I’ve never had a good experience calling the line or the actual buildings/locations.Just stay as far away as you can, they also do not have a good rep with the BBB (better business bureau) due to everyone having the same issues with freezing and being overcharged.

Place is dirty. Bathrooms are always dirty, theres never soap to wash your hands. Missing equipment for days. Whenever you bring an issue up to front desk they look up from their phone as if youre interrupting them from something important. I like coming here because its usually empty but you can clearly see why.

No employee should ever question a customer pockets and laugh in there face about it. Then be allowed to come to work the next day.

The new staff are not welcoming, I remember before Covid 19 the staff will always greed you they were happier, now you walk the first thing you see is some angry 😡 faces is almost as if they hate their job no greeting or nothing and then they ask questions covid related which is fine I can understand that but then they also act like they want you out by the mean look on their faces you can hear them talking behind your back especially new fat white guy up front, so unprofessional. Just be happy when you see people walking in the gym, they don’t know you they just want to work out and leave ...

You pay so much for better gym yet they close before every gym and they take there time to reopen once told they able to I was paying 50 a month I will not be returning

The new location is perfect, its near my work and many other gyms are far out. The owner/manager Jamie and their employees are super flexible and he guided me to the best membership. I was glad to return the favor by providing music for their grand opening event! Thanks LA- Staff!

The customer service and trainers at this facility are top notch. My husband and I originally joined to use the pool, thinking we’d just try it out for a few months. We love it so much that now we’re attending spin classes and using other equipment. The gym is always clean and the spin instructors are great! There is always plenty of equipment and space available for any type of workout. Would highly recommend!

They do not follow covid protools, people wearing any kind of mask and mot covering nose, and the workers did not care.

I will say that its certainly one of the nicer gyms Ive ever used. Everything is pretty new and the facility feels very open. The pool is a definite plus. That said, there are two major sticking points that prevent me from giving full marks.First, there are no bumper weights or really any set up to do deadlifts or similar lifts. Ive asked a few times about them and theyve given me no indication that they are even looking into it. Its a major lift in a lot of routines, so its kind of a big omission.Second, too many pricing games. I know thats more of a corporate issue, and lots of gyms are similarly opaque, but it is absurd that you cant just make changes to your membership without paying a lot more or racking up a bunch of other fees. God forbid you dont choose the exact right package when you first sign up, or if your needs should change. Wheres the respect for being a loyal customer? They only care about new sign-ups.

This LA FITNESS is very clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of equipment. The basketball court is very big but the court itself has a lot of dust bunnies and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the grand opening

I am so glad I stopped in for a tour! I signed up that day. The pool was a big plus for me, and I was really impressed by how big it is. There are plenty of machines, a studio for classes, a cycling studio, and a basketball court. I decided to work with a personal trainer as I am trying to get my strength back after cancer/surgery. Mia, my trainer is fantastic, she understands my situation, makes sure I train safely, and keeps me motivated and feeling positive. The entire staff, including the managers, are all super friendly, they always make me feel welcome, and there is always someone available to answer a question or show me how to use a machine. There is something here for everyone and I love the positive changes happening in my life. Couldnt be happier that I joined.

I stopped by this fitness center out of curiosity, since it was fairly new, and Im so glad I did. Not only is the facility AMAZING, but the staff, specifically Jamie and Nikki, provided me with excellent customer service. They were extremely knowledgeable, sweet and totally easy to work with. I never felt like they tried to force me to purchase anything. Nevertheless, I ended up buying a membership for my son and myself, including buddy passes for each. I am so excited to start getting back into shape. PS there is a beautiful pool as well!! BONUS!!!!!

Great club, very clean especially enjoy the cycle class with Brian on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. I used to spin 3 times a week when I was with a different club, started taking cycling at LA and couldn’t find an instructor I liked, tried Brian’s class and loved it just wish he had more class times his workouts are great!

This facility is AWESOME!!! From the time I entered the door to when I packed up to leave, I felt welcomed, and not judged. I got the feeling from Jamie and Zack that it mattered to them that I was successful with my goals. My husband, son, daughter and myself all joined and will be taking the personal training. Ive joined a lot of gyms in the past with little success. I feel totally different about this gym because of the personal care I received. I will recommend LA Fitness Cheektowaga to everyone I can!!!! Bonus......its a beautiful facility!!!!!!!

Awesome gym!!! The GM, Jamie, is a wonderful guy. He really took his time giving my mom and me a tour. We signed up that day, and are now on a personal training program (our trainer, Matt H. is awesome too, along with program director, Zack). Everyone is welcoming and friendly. So excited to have found LA Fitness Cheektowaga!

Ive been using this gym for the past week while Im here visiting. The gym is very clean & plenty of equipment. There are 2 cable crosses which is very rare, multiple benches, 3 different squat racks, plenty of weights & dumbbells. The staff is friendly & a trainer named Aaron was out on the floor & spotted a problem with my form & came over to show me what I was doing wrong & how to correct it.

Definitely not using this facility again. Had a very bad experience at the pool. My husband and I called the front desk to inquire if the pool was open, we were told yes. So we reach and start swimming. The pool life guard comes storming in after 15 mins and starts screaming. We were not told that the pool cant be used between 8pm and 8.30pm today when the pool guard was on break, after which he started screaming at me and said if I understood English. LA Fitness needs to do an etiquettes training for its staff (yes brown people speak ENGLISH), put signs which are easy to read, and make information like this easily accessible rather than print it in 10 font size and stick it in a corner. And the pool lifeguard definitely needs to go to a therapist to deal with his anger and racist issues.

LA Fitness is a great community asset ! Whatever your need is you will be assisted by amazing people !When you open the door you will be greeted by smiling faces and when you walk through you will meet the manager Jamie who is very professional, and friendly.I am so grateful that he helped me with enrolling my son with autism , and introducing me this beautiful person Mia, so amazing with her special approach to special needs ,have a big heart to be his personal trainer ! My son is so happy going there , now he has lots of friends .. smiling all the time . I also thank to Zach and Catie very much for their support for getting things done smoothly..and all the other employees that I do not know their names but I will never forget their faces always with the warm welcome being part of this great team !

So, after speaking to an LA Fitness rep at GNC, my fiancé and I decided to check them out, as we are currently looking for more than what our current gym offers. Friday night at 6pm, peak gym hours after work, we decided to walk in and see if we can get a guest pass to try out the facility. There wasn’t anyone at the front desk, so we waited. As minutes go by, we start looking around, not a single employee in sight. So as we start to wonder if we should just head out or not, a gentleman who was waiting by the front door approached us:“Are you folks looking for information?”“Yes,” we replied.“They changed management about a year ago, and this place hasn’t quite been the same since. In fact, I’ve been waiting for my trainer to show up, and then I finally found out he left about an hour ago. He didn’t even tell me he couldn’t make it to my appointment. I would look at another LA Fitness facility if you want to try them out.”This was disheartening to hear, but it lined up with our suspicions as we continued to wait for an employee. Since nobody showed, we decided to drive to the Clarence facility (only about 15 min away, but my fiancé and I live in Cheektowaga so we were hoping to sign up there). Right away, we were greeted by an employee who helped us with our guest pass.So, long story short: while I cannot review the entire facility, my first impression from this location was not very strong. Not a single employee at peak gym time to talk to us, as we were ready to sign up that day. Softball of a sale for them, and they missed out.

It’s a brand new gym. New machines and lockers. I like it better than both Elmwood and Sheridan. They offer $10 new members to increase the number of the branch members, so if u live close just sign up. It won’t hurt $10.

Clean beautiful facility even the ladies locker room is neat an clean. I love it getting a work out on the machines and taking zumba class on Saturdays C.J is Awesome 👍 he keeps the class going. Any guys interested in taking zumba please come an take C.Js class at this location Hes looking for some Guys to come an join the class its a lot of fun you wont be disappointed

8 employees at work all went to sign up. James imerese, told us to do a temp pass and he would get us a special price. So cool we did that. Then they had an open house on a Saturday. He says we have to have all 8 employees there that morning to sign up or we cant get special price. Well some were on vacation, out of town, had prior commitment with kids etc. So we said if you cant honor your word to us will take our business elsewhere. We went over to crunch fitness. Better gym than la fitness. Only item we didnt get was a pool. Got a better price and no games. Ive been to the Hamburg la fitness and they were very cool. New Cheektowaga la fitness needs better management. Start with shoveling the sidewalk, fire the front desk girl, dont make promises you cant keep. The place has been open for weeks and they are basically empty. I predict it will close soon. No way are they making enough to pay the rent.

Lots of space in this gym and clean all around. The staff here are all friendly. The atmosphere of this gym is inviting to me, different people of various ability levels go here.

Brand new equipment but their pool makes you feel like a zoo exhibit. Its also incredibly difficult to cancel your membership even in person.

Great Gym, good friendly staff and Great Trainers

Stopped in yesterday to get a new membership as I had been a member at the Elmwood Ave location for a few years and took a year off. The staff were very rude and seemed too busy to even notice me. Which was an issue I had at the Elmwood Ave location . That by itself isnt a major issue......however, while I was waiting....a young man was there with his children and one of the employees....I dont know her name was being incredibly hostile and rude towards the young man for what seemed to be almost no reason. To the point of making the children cry! I decided to just leave as I have small children too and as a parent I cant be dealing with places that are unfriendly to families ... Nope ...I have no time for it. I will bring my business elsewhere

So the only reason Im not giving this location a one star review is because the facilities themselves arent the issue. In fact, it is very easy to come in with the amount of equipment they have and get a decent workout in. My issue is with the personal training group. I asked when I signed up 2-3 times if I would get a customize nutrition plan and work outs for when I wasnt with the trainer. I was reassured yes and I would have access to a nutritionist to help.Well that wasnt the case because after the first session I asked for both and the trainer said eat this many grams of protein/carbs/fats and do pulling exercises Thursday. This is the complete opposite of what I was promised and now Im stuck in a thankfully shorter contract than originally offered wasting my money. Avoid the trainers here at all cost unless you have money to burn.

Gym is clean and modern, with great facility. Plenty of machines, a basketball court, and a pool. Only items missing which I would expect for the price are a sauna and a hot tub. My issue with this gym, however, is the staff. They seem undertrained and lack confidence in their job. When bringing in a free week trial pass, staff were confused as to what it was, and unable to answer questions we had.

This gym is great the trainer are excellent and educated. Catie signed me and a friend up. She stays with you through out your weight loss goals .

Nice facility but I pay the extra at LA for sauna, steam room, jacuzzi amenities. Little disapointed some of the newer locations are ditching them (assuming for overhead/ profitability reasons). If you arent into these extras its a really nice gym though

Its nice looking in here and since its like the other gyms everything is easy to findI like new equipment, in particular new rowers and new treadmills oh yeah. Beautiful gym and equipment, but the personal trainer was forceful and degrading. I understand your trying to sell a service, but no means no, and criticizing my fitness isnt going to motivate me any further.180$ a month for a personal trainer or 30$ a month to spend a couple hours a week winding down....

The gym and equipment are pretty clean but the womens locker room is gross. Thats where you are exposed to the most germs but it barely gets cleaned.

Wish it had a Juice bar and Sauna but other then that its a good gym

I have been going to this gym for 4 months now and have never been this strong/fit/happy in my life. Zack paired me with one of the trainers Josh, who is fanominal. He is great to work with and very knowledgeable in may areas of the fitness world. In just the last 6 weeks I lost 1 inche off my waist and 5.5% body fat. The team at this location make the atmosphere very welcoming and fun to be at and around. Anyone looking for a great gym or trainer who will help you reach your fitness goal Lafitness in Cheektawga is the place to be. A special Thanks to the training team Zack, Josh, Mia and Mat for helping me achieve my results. And another thanks to the whole Lafitness Cheektowaga Team.
