First off, every employee is staring at their phone both times I came in. No greeting, just watching YouTube. Next, when I returned the vehicle they didn’t come out and check that everything was in order. They had told me it needed to be at just over a quarter tank and that’s what I returned it to. I check the receipt and they charged me $60 for not putting enough in. Finally, I got a screw in the tire and lost about an hour and a half of move time. I called and couldn’t get a hold of anyone and had to go through the website to get help. No one at the the desk new that I had to have a repair done either. Overall, poor communication and customer service.

Ordered a trailer hitch well over a month ago. Have to come to location for update and status. No one calls. Was told three times that its on back order. My friend ordered the same hitch for an identical car. It arrived and have been installed.

They require at least 24 hours notice in order to have the UBox ready to unload, yet they never answer their phone and have no other way to be contacted. It has been extremely frustrating, I could have set up to have my box unloaded but I cant call and make sure its ready, which means I could drive all the way for nothing. Now they have charged me a boatload for an extra months storage because they wont answer the phone. Horrible. Do not recommend, extremely unprofessional. I will probably just go down and let them know in person.

I had the worst experience ever at the Hixson pike location, which you can read that 1 star review on my page.However, I came here and they were able to help me greatly. Timothy Westmoreland helped me out so much and was apologetic about the other incompetent store on hixson pike. I highly recommend renting from here and hope you get to see Timothy. He’s a true professional.

Do not rent an inside unit from them if it messes up it will take them 3 to 4 weeks to fix and you won’t have any access to your unit and they don’t even offer to compensation for you not being able to access your unit I stayed payed up 4 to 5 months in advance this is the 3 rd time it’s happened to me and operate a business out of my unit so you can see how frustrating this can be!!🙁

Garbage... Honest to god the least helpful people I’ve met. Reserved a truck online, then called to double check- when I showed up and they said someone had their pickup rented for five days... I called ahead and drove all that way for nothing!

I called the broad st location. I could tell it was a white older lady who was very rude to me. I was asking questions like a normal new customer would. She got aggressive with me then hung up on me. This is so unprofessional for this company.

I have people that I knew that rented from this U-Haul location on Broad Street in Chattanooga Tennessee. So I figure when it was time for me to move I would use them. I should have chosen another location. I got a call about 30 minutes or less from the Uhaul manager or representative stating that he had some bad news, that the rental truck that I have chosen the other person who rented that has not brought it back yep and that they were not answering their phone. Being the manager representing was unsure whether his game plan would be to make sure that was able to get in the truck at the time I requested, due to I had already had moved were scheduled to be available for me doing the time frame that Ive earned it the truck which was 10 a.m. for 7 hours. So then the manager stated that he has a big truck that he could get me in for the same price of the 17-inch truck that I originally rented. The manager represented also stated that he would give me a discount for the trouble on their end. When I got to the U-Haul place and stood in the long line, for about 10 minutes and then it was my time to speak with a representative or manager for my rental order oh, I let him know who I was and I just got off the phone with him oh, he stated that he remembered me, he put me in a 15 inch truck, he did not give me a discount, he only stated that he put me a smaller truck for the same amount. Thats not good. So I only had the truck from 10 a.m. till about 1 something in the afternoon by Miles was under 30 miles, so at checkout on the outside of the store the gentleman that never cashed me out my credit card was charged $108 and some change for on the receipt that I got from the email from a manager named Jessica the shows that is $96.60. But my bank is still pending for $108 and some change. I tried to call the store but they will not answer and it kept rolling over to the customer care line. On top of that as I was leaving the store there was another rental who was in pretty much about a 15 inch truck I was backing out and she hit my car and stated that I hit her she got my tag numbers what she did it in the outrage way oh, she ran behind my truck trying to get my tag numbers yelling and screaming. This is the worst experience for me with a moving company let alone this location where everybodys always saying that theyre okay. I will not rent from this location again. And I hope I Im not giving a problem if I ever read it again from a different location.

Staff was friendly, trailer brake lights were out advise to check before you leave.

When one of the tie down straps that I bought at this location was defective, the general manager loaned me a strap out of his own truck. Ill be doing business here in the future.

Called to schedule appointment for braking system to be installed on vehicle for camper but was told the product is no longer available. He also stated something about a sensor in that area. Within 30 seconds the device was located online. I then called the location in East Ridge who previously installed same product on another vehicle. There was no issues with East Ridge. Daniel knew exactly the product and scheduled for service. WOULD NOT recommend Broad Street location. GO TO EAST RIDGE, Daniel knows the business.

Very positive experience with recent rental of a 10 foot truck. Friendliest staff of any U-Haul location that I have encountered in recent years and by far the cleanest and nicest truck. I would strongly recommend renting at this location.

We had a U-Box shipped across the country to this location. Unfortunately, they had a forklift malfunction which delayed us. However, the owner or manager of the store went out of his way to make us whole. He hustled to get the U-Box ready for us the same day, and let us use a truck for free. Thats what customer service is all about! He took an unfortunate situation and made it right. I highly recommend this U-Haul location.

This location was super flexible when our move-in got delayed by several days due to unforeseen circumstance. The staff was kind, and allowed us to return our dollies after the first day so we wouldnt needlessly pay for them. We only needed them to move out, not to move in, and would have wasted money while the truck was just sitting in our driveway for four days. Would definitely recommend! The best U-Haul experience Ive had, and Ive used them to move five times over the last ten years.

These people do not care at all. There are three cashiers and it is a free for all. Dont stand in line, when one is open just run up to the person and hope your reservation is correct. Which it wasnt.When you tell a cashier that people just jump in front of you. His amazing response it happens all the time.Terrible service and for validation, my visit was Saturday 8:30 a.m. (3/30/2019).Keep up the terrible work!

I came in today 1/25/2013 and a younger guy, i think his name was Nate was very helpful and polite. He offered to carry the boxes, and other items I purchased today out to my vehicle with no hesitation. He also welcomed me and approached me as i walked in and headed to the boxes and asked if there was anything he could help me with. Very well satisfied, and very well mannered young man. Glad to see employees as professional as he was.John.

Wife wanted a hitch for a bike rack for her birthday. Called in the morning and was quickly assigned an afternoon appointment for the same day! They then called just a short time later after someone canceled and asked if I wanted to come in earlier which I did! Got me right in and out in less time than it was supposed to take. Staff was friendly!

They are conveniently located and have a friendly staff. However, their long-distance rates can be high compared to their competitors and they do not offer any incentives to frequent customers. All in all this is a great store but I feel it is missing some of its potential.

The staff was very nice and kept me informed on the progress of my car being worked on while I wated in the store. They were quick and did a very nice job.

I dont think we should have to wait an hour to pick up our reservation. Its Saturday morning, people move on Saturdays. Properly staff the store.Then after waiting an hour they dont have our reservation. This place is beyond ridiculous.Should ve just spent the money and went to Penske.

Unbelievably bad service. Took 10 by phone to arrange hitch installation and trailer rental, then person helping me said her computer wasnt working and transferred me to person #2 who was unable to help me so transferred me to person #3 in scheduling. #3 was kindly but highly inefficient. No information transferred from one person to another. Took a total of 3 people and 40 minutes to arrange for install of trailer hitch and rental of trailer. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!

I brought my van down with my hitch mounted bike rack being too loose and wobbly. After trying for a week to get in touch with the East Ridge location, I decided to call down-town, they answered the phone and told me to come down. Brian looked at my bike rack and took a good long while to figure out a solution to the problem. He fixed it quick and I felt really comfortable with the work! Thank you sooo much for the prompt service! Now we can go to the beach knowing the rack is safe and secure!

The U Haul on Broad st is the best one in town. I had terrible experiences at the one on Ringgold rd., so this was lightyears apart from that. Kathy and David were very helpful, fast, and courteous.

Worst Business Ever ! Told Me My Total Would Be $43 But Charged My Card $71 & I Had The 15inch Truck. I Could Blow The Whole Place Up !

We had a truly horrific experience with our move using the U-box service. Uhaul is so disorganized with this service that I cant imagine others have a much better experience. I have about ten email receipts of different charges. The different locations dont seem to communicate with each other at all. I was asked to make reservations that were then not honored, and the websites claims about being able to access your u-boxes are untrue. We arrived at our new house unable to pick up our furniture because the representative had apparently not put our reservation in the computer. The employees also claimed they could not let us access all of our boxes on the same day because they needed three trailers (That wasnt true, as they used only one trailer for all three of our boxes, while we waited.) Because of this, we had to pay over a hundred dollars to rent a truck for two days to haul the boxes, rather than on the one day that we had planned. The expectation of the employees is very much that we should just come and wait in a long line to have them move our boxes onto trailers, rather than let us make an appointment and avoid a long wait. To top it all off, when we returned our boxes, they knew we were done with them but kept our accounts open, charging us $262 for another month of storage. It isnt really the employees fault, though, that each location only has 2-3 people working during a peak time of the month. I have made numerous calls and waited on hold for a total of over two hours and am always transferred to another person who cant help me. The customer service representatives are friendly but totally unhelpful and basically tell us what WE should have done differently. I dont normally write reviews, but I dont want this to happen to anyone else. Also, its possible that Uhaul wont care to respond until they see this review hurting their reputation.

Very unfriendly and uncommunicative. One man wore a General Manager shirt but never looked me in the eye nor walked us to the truck to explain anything. When we returned the truck he said he would email my receipt but I’ve yet to receive it- also didn’t take the time to go over the charges. Would not recommend Broad Street Uhaul.

AWFUL! Called 2xs from ORLANDO Florida & made a reservation for a trailer 1 way back to Orlando. Detailed conversations, pick up date secured & conf # given. Drive 81/2 hrs to pick up our new vehicle. Very unhelpful employee casually informs me that they don’t rent trailers one way. Now I’m stuck in Chattanooga with a new vehicle & no way to transport & not one ounce of concern or assistance from this UHaul location. STAY AWAY

This place was a joke. No place to park, got asked to move my truck twice, people at the counter were slow and kept blaming all the problems on the computer. Finally left and didnt buy a truck hitch and ball. I will not be going back to this establishment ever again. Very poor service and attitude.

I would say DONT go to this location. iches change me $35 for gas although gas talk was half empty when i checked in.- Bad service- Long wait time- Rental vehicle was dirty

There were only 2 people working today and they was a bit on the busy side when I arrived I seen one guy working really hard and the other guy just standing around I think he said his name was Tim I watched him light a cigarette right in front of the door stand there smoke the whole thing throw it on the ground and then pull his phone out and began playing on it I’m sorry but if I was the other guy I would have been really mad im sorry but that’s just not right

Use cash!!!! They held 2 payments on my debit card, had to wait almost a week for 1 payment to roll off and not be billed. Very inconvenient! Never again will I use my debit card, I will just give the $100 cash deposit and receive cash back when I return the truck.

The employees are very nice, its just really hard to see to drive out of the parking lot onto such a busy street
