We had to stop at this U-Haul facility purely by chance, as a generator we were towing in the trunk of our suburban had begun leaking in our car toting two babies. The fumes were very dangerous for both the young children and ourselves. We were scrambling to find a way to store the generator or get a trailer to haul it, and we managed to find this U-Haul. The two women there helped us out tremendously. The manager, Lemetri, was very patient with us and very accommodating. She showed us our options with a trailer and a storage unit, helping us find the perfect fit. The workers there were quite literally a lifesaver. I highly recommend anyone to handle their storage or moving needs with them!

Shout out to the kind owner of this location for helping us out with our Propane tank and exposing the lying/laziness of the people at the East Ridge location. Never going to the East Ridge location again, will come to this Hixson location from now on.

The people there were rude would not honor my reservation or price that was quoted and guaranteed with my credit card, when I asked to speak with manager was told there wasnt one and that I needed to call customer service at 800gouhaul, was told I could go elsewhere such as one in middle valley told him didnt know where that was and response I got was that obvious since you are here. I would not recommend this place to anyone, go one up to the Ark Care storage at 7327 Hixson Pike, Hixson TN, much nicer person.

Service at this location might as well not exist for as useful as it has been for me. I have had a move out order in for 6 weeks as of this writing and I am still getting charged for the unit and now their is a lien on a unit that has been empty for 6 weeks with no lock on it. Customer support was of very little use as well they called the same manager that I have not been able to reach and noted the facts that I already know, resolving nothing. The management at this location are scammers and know it.

Had a wiring kit installed for my car here and after the installation the left blinker and brake light were not functioning.Took the car back was told, oh the bulb is out, when we pushed back they then said take it to your dealership to get it fixed.We ended up taking the car to the broad street location and 5 minutes later they fixed it saying the kit was not plugged in all of the way.Highly advise that location over this one.2022 Broad St, Chattanooga, TN 37408

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. Ordered a hitch for my car 3 weeks before I needed it. They scheduled the appt to put it on the day I needed and guaranteed it would be done. I followed up 3 times and each time I was told they had it in stock and would installed the day of my appt. I dropped my car off and was told it would be done by 12. I was called at 11 and told they did not have the hitch. They lied the entire time and tried to hide it by trying to overnight it and hoped it would come in. I now have to rent a car with a hitch for a week because no one had the decency to let me know they screwed up in time to make other arrangements.

Im currently at this business . Theyre putting a trailer hitch on my jeep. The staff was very friendly to every customer that walked in including me. Theyre a bit pricey , but you get what you pay for . Theyre doing a great job despite any bad reviews they get !!

Recently used this Uhaul facility for my move across the country. The staff was very kind one day and helpful, and then the next day the lady behind the counter was pretty rude.The guys that helped connect to Uhaul were pretty helpful and taught me an important lesson with trailer security - If a meth head wants your stuff hes going to get your stuff.

Do not rent from this location. I reserved i online when I went to pick up my rental one of the employees took my rental to Walmart to run an errand and I had to wait for her return. I told her that I needed my rental for 6-8 hours and she had me return at 3:30 which clearly isn’t between that time frame I needed. My vehicle smelled horrible and had all types of maintenance alerts on which made me nervous to drive. I returned my vehicle at 5:30pm and they hadn’t marked it as returned until the next morning so now of course they now charged me an extra day. Maybe we should roll back all of those cameras you all have to see when the truck was actually returned to your “Returning station”. Crooks.

Easily the worst experience renting a uhaul in my life. I had a reservation for a week. They didn’t have my truck when I got there, or the dolly. They did not care and was very rude. They still charged me, said they refunded it but didn’t. I have never been so surprised with how poorly a company can be ran. I went to the downtown uhaul instead and they were incredible.

For two years the workers at this location have not wanted to fill Propane tanks. They use several excuses to not fill propane. My favorite one is “there is no one working today that is propane qualified”. The General Manager in order to work here you have to be Propane Qualified. Last summer, I was inside renting a trailer and some pulled up for propane and the employee said “it’s too hot I am not going out there”. Today I showed up and they told me they were not selling propane, when I asked why I was told by the cashier “ because I am the only one working.” I replied I would wait until they finished checking out the customer they were assisting. The employee is now filling my two cans for heaters.I try to avoid this place whenever possible.I would suggest everyone do the same.

No Stars- Had reservation turns out I had some sort of past due balance from 8 years ago to pay before I could rent which is fine. The woman at the counter, not sure what her name was, dark skinned pretty but EVIL. That girl was very mean and did not give a rats butt how she treated me. I said no words to her besides business and she shoved a paper my face and mouthed off to me. i spoke my mind and left. There was an older lady that seemed taken back that I said my peace- not rude. I straight up told the girl she was mean and EVIL reeked off of her. She had the nerve to tell me she would pray for me- No thanks pretty sure with that attitude she prays to lucifer doesnt even deserve 1 star

Very great service. Casey fixed my trailer hitch for me that the uhaul on Virginia St in Reno NV messed up. He completely had to redo my trailer hitch. Casey was very professional and polite. Thank goodness for this location, they actually knew how to fix my trailer hitch on my jeep. Very friendly people from start to finish.

This place is great! The staff was very kind and helpful, especially Lemetri. She helped us when we were having trouble with the app, gave great insight on vehicles and utilities, and had us laughing the whole time.

My sister and I dropped off a trailer that we towed from reno Nevada. We asked Casey to fix her hitch on the jeep that Reno did wrong. Casey fixed it right and showed us what was wrong and showed us what he done to fix it. He was respectful and professional. They have always done me right here .

The associates were very welcoming. We were nervous about moving homes, but they made us feel comfortable. They answered all of our questions with detail and helped us pick the perfect sized truck for our needs.

I was pleasantly surprised by what a nice experience we had renting from this location.Our truck was waiting for us as scheduled and was filled with a full tank off gas and extremely clean.The most impressive thing was the customer service. I have had unpleasant experiences in the past with U-Haul, their equipment, and this location in particular. This time around, U-Haul corporate gave us a good price (well below the posted price), the van we rented had 1600 miles on it, the van came well equipped (cruise control, power windows, aux input on the radio), and the counter associate was easy to get along with.

I used this facility for storage of all my belongings over the summer and then rented a moving van from them. My stuff was clean, safe, and exactly how I left it. The truck rental was very easy, I was able to change the date and truck size up to the day before which was really helpful. The manager is very good at her job and will do what she can to make things easy for the customer. The other staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Moving is always stressful but these people made it better.

Do your own inspection. We rented a truck and auto transport. About 3/4 the way to our destination a trailer tire blew out on the interstate. Sitting on the side of the road waiting for service ( 2 hours ) we noticed 2 of the other tires also needed replacing. We basically were driving on 3 bad tires out of 4. These tires should have been inspected and replaced at the dealer not on the side of the interstate. Luckily the trailer has four wheels so we were able to safely drive off the road during the blowout.Windshield wipers on the truck also needed replacing. Something else we unfortunately discovered for ourselves. So don’t trust this location to do safety inspections, do them yourselves or go elsewhere.Pic below is one of the “good” tires that didn’t blow.

These guys are so helpful and kind. Ill definitely rent from them if I ever need a truck again.

I decided to use uhaul after budget had me a truck reserved at a location that was no longer open. I met with Courtney and she went above and beyond to secure me a truck for a one way trip. She saved our trip I would definitely come back here again and recommend the location based on customer service!

DEN OF THIEVES! I called multiple time to get a quote to have a trailer hitch and wiring installed and each time I was quoted about $117. I booked my appt and showed up today, only for the manager/owner? lady to tell me that everyone I had spoken to previously was incorrect and that the price is now $249. This place is SHADY AF. BTW pep boys will install a hitch for $49. Either this manager lady is a lying, greedy thief or half of their staff are too incompetent to give an accurate quote, take your pick!

Had a hitch installed on my 2012 Honda Accord for about $300 total and it has worked flawlessly. Used it to tow a couple thousand miles already, and they had my car back to me less than 24 hours later. On top of that, they even GAVE ME A RIDE HOME when I dropped my car off!! Couldnt have asked for better service, they definitely went above and beyond my expectations!

I have used this Uhaul location a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. My truck has always been ready and check in/ check out has been a breeze. Thats the point right? Will use again. Thanks

We arrived to pick up our auto hauler 5 minutes before closing time, because it took us longer than expected to pack the truck. Richard and the team at uhaul at Hixson we’re amazing. They stayed open late for us to get the trailer hooked up and loaded, and throughly inspected the rig to make sure we were going to be safe! Not only we’re they helpful but they were so very kind as well! Thanks again Richard and everyone at uhaul Hixson in Chattanooga, TN. Y’all will always have my business!

There customer sucks very rude. Mike tells me not once, but twice that he is the owner. I couldn’t help, but laugh as I know that clown couldn’t own a business or he’d be out of business very sad how this Uhaul place is being ran an it’s time that the REAL OWNERS clean house. Wonder how many other people Mike has told customers he’s the OWNER. Learn to treat your customers with respect an when they call into customer service for you to call them back two days of waiting you call back being very rude.

Overall, not terrible. Ive used them multiple times in a pinch. The last time though, alot of new faces, and I rented the only size truck available that I needed due to available driving area. They had lost the key to said truck, offered me a bigger one in exchange. After about 45 minutes or so, they found the key an employee had in his pocket but had turned off his radio in the meantime.

These guys are great! Even when a hurricane was beating down on their headquarters hundreds of miles away, they still worked through the network issues and sent me on my way. Great in town rentals with new vans!

When I was there 4 months ago and was in and out on my way in less than 1 hour. Now Im going by there this afternoon to pick up a trailer and moving the rest of my stuff from Chattanooga and going back to North Carolina. Ive never had a bad experince with Uhaul of Hixson, TN.

My friend and I were waiting on a lady while she was on phone talking. We were the only customer for about 5 min and were waiting for our turn when another male customer walked in and she went straight to them and not us. I went to pick up pen from the counter so I can write down to rent uhaul and wasnt plan on saying anything since the male broke in line and lady just grab the pen out of the blue from my hand. I was getting ready to write down because Im Deaf in order to communicate best. But I was treated in the wrong ( discrimination for sure). I walked out and gave them biggggg thumbs down. Never doing business with uhaul again in my life. Going somewhere where I was be treated with respect. The lady is black so dont start getting on me with discrimination issue cuz she surely was not friendly and did not make any efforts to try and help. Really bad for business when you dont have much help and getting ignored....no wonder she was in bad mood when we first walk in....I just knew it was be a bad start so I left which is best. Have fun using their business.

If you are considering this place, choose ANYWHERE else. When I tried to set up an appointment to get a trailer hitch installed on my vehicle, I was given the wrong appointment time to arrive via email (they told me to arrive an hour earlier before than they could even see me) and so I had to wait an hour due to THEIR mistake. Next, after the two hour install, I am called the NEXT DAY to be informed that THEY FORGOT TO PUT A BOLT ON. So, I had to bring my vehicle back in where they left me waiting for 20 more minutes before they would see me. Not a professional business and I wont be going back.

I dont generally write reviews for chain companies but good lord this place has the WORST customer service ever. My advice to anyone using this location (because this is such a prime location u-haul in Chattanooga) is read your confirmed email with your online reservation. This location will change it and not let you know, except by that email. AND then they will try to charge you for their problems. It gets even better when they put notes in the system making you look like the rude customer, when really it was them. Having to raise my voice back to someone and ignore the condescending tone she was giving me was/is an insult to U-haul and its customers.

I had a trailer hitch installed from these people recently. The estimate was $85 higher than quoted, it took them twice as long to install the hitch as promiised, but more importantly they screwed up the wiring on my truck. I went to the RV center to pick up my new camper and when I went to leave, the lights didnt work properly. The RV center re-did the wiring, to correct their screw-up, but when I went back to U-Haul to discuss their mistake, they refused to do anything about it... refused to admit theyd even made a mistake... unbelievable.Overpriced, shoddy workmanship and poor customer service... enough said. Go someplace else for a hitch installation, anywhere else...

Ive rented a 10-15 truck for every move Ive made in Chattanooga, and Ive never had any issues. Theyre usually quick and trucks are a bit beat up but they get the job done. My only complaint is that a dolly and moving mats are ziptied inside the truck, which gets in the way and has prevented me from fitting everything in at once. I hated making 2 trips during my last move just because the dolly obstructed enough to prevent my couch from fitting.

Horrible service. The lady at the desk is so rude and cuts you off. She will not let anyone (not just customers -including other employees) finish their sentences. Upon pick up of my truck, it had low tire air pressure. When I told them they said they were too busy to help me (there was one other customer at the store and about five workers) and they made me call road side assistance in their parking lot. Road side assistance told me to tell the people at the uhaul location to add air to my tires. When I went inside and told the manager, she became upset with me and told me road side assistance isnt doing their job. I dont care who is supposed to do it - I am the customer - somebody just help me get my truck! I had to wait for AN HOUR AND A HALF to get air in my tires and get my truck. When the lady did come out to put air in, she stopped to smoke a cigarette. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this Uhaul location. Absolutely horrible. I wasted my entire morning just tying to get air in my truck tires.

I went there to get 3 gallons of propane, it took me one and a half hours to get it. Evidently these people that work there are good at ripping people off. There was a guy complaining that they overcharged him 100.00 dollars. Then the guy behind him was complaining that they overcharged him 250.00 dollars. They would not refund the money, and made me wait in line to pay 14.00 for three gallons of propane. I had to slam a twenty dollar bill on the counter, and tell the guy that I would have my girlfriend come back for the change. They made me late to the birthday party, and we hade about twenty hungry kids that were companion get of being hungry. Then I went back, and the dumb lady would not fill the same tank, because she said it was to old, the date on the tank was 2010. She said it was over twelve years old, and she couldnt fill it. Now Im no mathmatition, but 2010 was five years ago. Terrible customer service, and under staffed. Just go to the gas place off Hwy.153 by Walmart. This place should be closed.

Thanks to the rude lady at the counter that can’t seem to understand or explain herself I have to pay a months worth of the storage fees even tho I returned one of many one way trailers I rent from U-Haul, apparently not even the manager can’t fix her mistake and wanna act like she’s doing me a favor.

I returned a trailer which was used in a one way move from out of town. Staff worked quickly and got my on my way very shortly.

Very poor customer service went just to get a quote on a tow trailer, lady was very rude and wouldnt even help me with a rental. I recommend avoiding them.

We called to get a price on a tow dolly and Deborah was the rudest customer service person I have ever In countered I work as a manager at public storage and if we treated our customer this way we would be gone. This person does not need to be in a customer service job everyone steer clear of the hixson pike uhaul.

I had technician check out a problem I was having with lights on hitch they installed & when they finished I was left inside waiting on an answer .After I relized I had been waiting longer than normal I asked about it in which the gentleman was suprized I was still there .He gave me the outcome although the problem wasnt fixed I left very irritated.
