I hired Mr. Rooter to do a septic and plumbing inspection of a home we are purchasing. Tommy was very professional, informative, and went above and beyond to troubleshoot issues and make sure we knew all of our options for repairs. He was also very friendly! I give them one star because they showed up. Our tenants called this plumber because a clogged line that’s over 100ft long, instead of him telling them he did not have the proper equipment, he went ahead and TRIED. Charged $380. My husband ended up having to take a 7hr trip to fix it, with a $19 part from Lowe’s and got fixed. The Plumber told us he could flush it for $900, but no guaranties that it would probably run in to 5 to 10 thousand dollars to get it fixed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Mr. Rooter came out on a late night Friday call very well after hours to help with a massive toilet blockage that had flooded my bathroom. The plumber was very courteous and let me know everything that needed to be done before doing anything.

They were very knowledgeable and explained things well. They had our issue resolved in less than 24 hours.

They did a good job coming out and assessing the need for a new Pressure Regulator Valve.

Had an emergency leak called them to have the issue fixed. Waited for over 6 hours for a call from the plumber to see if I’m even in coverage area. Know it was a holiday but they could have at least called to confirm or deny that information. Had to turn off water to the house and call another plumber.

They STOLE $500 from my bank account. Called Mr. Rooter, for an ESTIMATE ONLY, to have a leaky bathtub faucet looked at and some old galvanized pipes replaced with PVC on FridayJune 25, 2021. Zach shows up and checked out the leaky bathtub faucet and flashed his cell phone light around in my basement and crawlspace. Went to his truck an came back with an ESTIMATE of $1,970, he said that the faucet would cost $270 to replace so I told him Im GOOD ON THAT, ILL DO IT MYSELF. Come to find out that it was only a rubber seat that I replaced for $3.64..... yeah thats right THREE DOLLARS AND SIXTY FOUR CENTS. Now I aint the smartest mofo in the world but come on lil buddy, so he writes up a ticket for $1,700 but didnt have the materials for the job and said I CAN GET TO IT ON MONDAY being June 28, 2021. I wanted the work done so I agreed to it and then he says THERES A $500 DEPOSIT ,so the next day, Saturday June 26, 2021 I text Zach to inform him that Ill be looking around for more estimates and got the job done for $1,000 cheaper than Mr. Rooter, so I text Zach once again to inform him that I was moving in a different direction with my plumbing job and he replies YOU CANT GET THE 500 BACK SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE..... Im like WOOOOOOOOOOOW, so I called the secretary at Mr. Rooter and she says the same thing. Long story short I contacted my bank and theyre on the job as I type. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MR. ROOTER!!!!!🤬

Ive rarely gone onto Google to leave a really bad review but this one is special. 1st trip was to fix a pipe leaking next to our rental home which is on the same.water line we are. Valve and pipe have been dug down to and around and we knew which way the leak was. Quickly replaced 3 feet of pipe which he had to dig using my shovel no more than 3 feet because the pipe was only that long and most of the hole had been dug already. He charged my family $1200. $300 was for the digging. Everyone Ive spoken to and have seen in person the area, friends and professional, said that was way too much. 2nd trip Valve had to be replaced different guy. I complained that the price last time was outrageous and now the same piece of pipe now needs a new value. He said they wouldnt charge me. 3rd trip, same area of pipe still within a year, 1st guy 1st trip called to be sure I would be paying since they took the 2nd trip out of his check. Right here it continues to go to hell. But I figure this is enough and I hope I can save someone else from the same fate.

They responded quickly to my call and provided estimates for possible scenarios to repair my septic system. Mr. Rooters courteous employees provided next day turn around on a full field line replacement. They also helped to replace retaining walls that had been removed. I was impressed with their professionalism and completely trusted their recommendations.

On Labor Day I called Mr.Rooter to fix a shower drain. Joseph was at the house within an hour! He was courteous and professional. He was even careful not to leave tools or hardware laying somewhere where my children might find them and get hurt. We appreciate his attention to detail and now we have a working shower!! Don’t use them please! They wanted to do 1000 times more than necessary and didn’t even fix the problem. If they would have done what they wanted to do it would have busted all the field lines! And they are way over priced too! We should have gotten our money back!

If youre in need of a plumber at 9:00 PM on a Sunday night, I would highly recommend Joseph. He was very responsive and showed up within the hour. While the visit was very expensive, Joseph was very upfront about the cost and the services he was going to provide.In addition to diagnosing and fixing the sewage pipe, he identified a much larger issue with the septic line installed by the builder that was going to cause more problems in the future.I cant thank and recommend Joseph enough for when you have a plumbing emergency!The only reason Im giving Mr. Rooter 4 stars is because of the $900 charge for an hours worth of work. Im sure these prices are set by the owner or corporate.This rating is not a complaint against Joseph, the quality of his work, or the expertise he provides as he deserves 5+ stars!

Had a late night call with a neglected septic tank, Joseph Tomlinson came out that night and did everything he could to make sure we had a way to flush toilets and wash that night. he came out early before his next scheduled job to take care of us and pumped it the next day. He was honest, hard working and very upfront about prices and wanted to ensure you were knowledgeable about the problem and what you were paying for. Our plumber tech, Lamar was very diligent, updated us as to when he would be arriving. Went beyond the call to work in our emergency. He explained, repaired, cleaned up and was all round professional along with being well mannered and respectful. Will call Mr. Rooter again.

If I could leave no stars I would. We called Mr. Rooter to unclog a sewer line back in March 2020. The technician came out and said he would need to spray/ hose the clog a $1,000+ service. The first time the technician put the hose into the clean-out wrong and sprayed sewage all over the roof of the house. He then attempted to spray the clog a second time, again he put the hose in wrong and sewage sprayed up from every toilet, drain, sink in the house. He said he was sorry and would give us $100 off the service (great) and that he would have to come back the next day as he thought the clean-out was installed wrong. He came back the next day and started to dig where the clog was and hit the water main line (he did not mark the water main line prior to digging). This contaminated our water with the leaking sewage. He told us not to use our water for two weeks as sewage could be in the water pipes (we had a three month old baby!). He then had to repair the water line to our house, which has subsequently broken twice and we have had to have repaired. The technician seemed extremely over worked as well. Said he had been working 12+ hour days for over two weeks. Mr. Rooter makes you pay for all services upfront so we had no recourse and could not get a refund. I have called the office 4 times to speak with the owner and I am always told he will call you within 24 hours. I have never received a call back and have had to file a complaint with the BBB. I would never use this service.

Had new septic lines installed. Justin did a fantastic job. He was very professional and completed the job to my satisfaction.

Prompt service for a nasty sewer issue after hours on a Friday night at 6pm. Lamar came out and diagnosed issue and made a game plan to fix the problem. We were repaired and operational again on Sunday.

Scheduled septic tank pump out. After waiting two hours after the appointment time, they called to reschedule because something was broken. Okay, things break, but it took the two hours to call. After waiting an hour and half for the rescheduled appointment time, they called to reschedule because it was still broken. I guess they think their customers have nothing to do but wait on them.

I requested a service from Mr. Rooter via the online tool late last night as our upstairs tub and toilet were both clogged after our child had a bath. I received a phone call before 8:30 am ET this morning and the technician, Justin, was out here before 10 am ET.Justin explained the entire service of performing the hosing to unclog the drain via the toilet. He took up the toilet, hosed out the clog (toilet paper) ran a camera through the pipe and showed me the line was clear. The same drain was also keeping the tub from draining.Toilet unclogged, bathtub unclogged and completed in less than hour.Thank you. Fantastic service!

Joseph called when he was on the way, once here he was courteous and professional, he got my toilet unclogged fairly quickly. I had tried an auger and some chemicals to no avail, Im glad I called Mr. Rooter.

I had one plumbing company that came out, and walked away from the job, because they had to go in the tank to change a pump out. At this point i had to get someone ASAP. I called Mr. Rooter had Joseph come out game a quote, and came the next day. Great service and and he wanted to make sure I was happy. Great guy I highly recommend Joe.

I was very happy with services I received from Joseph T. who arrived on time, was very courteous and professional, explained everything he was doing and answered every question I had.

They came out late and were very professional, priced a little higher than the average company in my opinion but they took care of everything and I’m very pleased.

We had a back up in our septic tank and needed it pumped. We called and they came out that same day. We paid $800 to have the tank pumped and was told the lines from our house were bad and that we would be calling them back in about two weeks because it would back up again. After 6 months of everything running fine we had a back up again. We called a different company to come out and they stated the septic tank was not pumped out properly and there was waste that was 5 years old still in it! We asked if the pipes from the house might be bad and they said our pipes are fine. So Mr. Rooter not only overcharged us but also only did half the job so that we would have to call them back out and they could claim our pipes are bad and would need a whole new system which would cost thousands!! I will never use this company ever again!!

I had a water line repair at my office and called Mr. Rooter. They charged my $2,950, over $400 an hour, for the repair. No heavy equipment was used, simply one man with a shovel and a little digging. My advice would be to not use this company.

I just had a water leak in the yard and picked-up the phone book and saw this friendly ad, “MR. ROOTER.” I called and they had a nice young man come out and assess the job, but then when they saw where I lived he had to take pictures and discuss how much to charge. They wound-up charging me 35.00 per foot to add 100 foot of PEX from the water meter to the house.From there, everything went downhill. After having the yard marked and pointing out where the demark point from the yard to the house, they STILL COULD NOT FIND THE COPPER PIPE coming out of the house.They resorted to calling two more people out (one with a metal detector and another young man with two wires swinging from his hands. After two days of digging and them getting behind on jobs (they line them up for profit so there is no room for error), they gave up and asked me if they could run a new line to save time and finish up the job.Begrudgingly my wife and I agreed. The PEX was run from the meter box into my basement with two 90-degree connections in the basement (not a demark point to solid copper outside the house), so now if there ever becomes a leak it is INSIDE THE HOUSE. When I went to sign the bill, they charged me an additional $385.00 to do it.I don’t blame the young men who did the work; they were just doing what they were told. The company is a FRANCHISE that will hire most anyone who can demonstrate they have strong work ethics. Experience comes with time.If you want a company with experienced journeymen and have an honest business-model, this is definitely not the one. Two days and $4,000.00 later and my head still hurts…I have been had.Mark C.
