Great haircuts to be had here. The online reservation system is a miserable experience. Times reflected as available are not accurate. Difficulty signing on. Its so frustrating it nearly makes it not worth going there for a haircut. Seems like as busy as they are, they could invest in a system that was more customer friendly.

Bailey gave me THE BEST HIGH SKIN FADE OF MY LIFE! Coming from living in Atlanta and Birmingham, i have had several barbers in my days but she, in my opinion, truly is the Best of the Best. She sanitized all her tools before I sat down, used hot shaving cream which I have never seen done before, and made good conversation during the cut. If I could give her more than five stars, I would. I’ll be recommending her and this shop to everyone I know and will be back in the near future.

White Oak on Lee Hwy is an amazing barbershop! When I first moved to Chattanooga I searched and searched for a good place to get a cut after numerous bad haircuts. Needless to say I’ve been coming to this barbershop for over 2 years now and have never been happier. Thanks to Becca for always keeping me looking sharp. I highly recommend her or any other barber working there as they are always very professional and talented. So if your looking for a great haircut that won’t leave you disappointed then I suggest dropping into White Oak. Aka- the real Chris

I enjoy getting my haircut here. Every barber that I have had here does an excellent job on my hair. It isnt quite the same as the old time barber shops that I grew up with as there is very little conversation amongst the people waiting for their haircuts as most are glued to their phones, but I think this is more of a sign of the times than a flaw of the shop itself.

Im gonna do 5 stars. Great haircut and theyre the only ones who make my beard look cool. Just be patient. Theyre all about quality and attention to detail, not cranking out as many haircuts as possible in an hour. My only complaint is that the door says they close at 7, the phone voicemail says to be there by 6:45, and the closed sign is flipped by 6:20. Cant speak for every day, but that was my experience today after rushing over there after work. But youll notice Im still giving 5 stars because theyre that good.

Honestly, exactly what a haircut should be. Very laid back atmosphere with minimal conversation here at White Oak. The barber cut my hair perfectly and exactly as I described. A little steep on the price but walking away feeling fresh brings confidence to look. Highly recommend.

If you identify as male and your are sick of trying to find a great stylists for your hair, I have bad news for you it does not exist. I do happen to know where the best Barber is, they keep them hidden away here. After a life time of sports clips and mall hair cuts ,I finnaly found a place I can walk out of with confidence. Also if you have a Beard I highly recommend you let them trim it and line it up.

Ive been seeing Becca no for 2 years or so never had an issue with the haircut or beard trim. Today was no exception had a very hard request about shorting my beard which was very long but she got it done and looks way better than I could have hoped for.

So I’ve waited until I got my hair fixed to write this review. I’ve let my hair grow for a month and the barber I had fix it still had to pretty much take my hair all the way down to fix the crooked lines and lopsided cut I got. My wife ended up taking my son in here a few days later and got the same barber and had the same barber next to her bring up the same pregnant conversation, we assume it’s to bring up her tips or to keep complaints low but his hair cut is so he’s asked to wear hats everywhere. I’d post a picture if I could. It’s really very bad. I’m sure they probably do great hair cuts, but there is at least 1 barber who needs to work on fading straight lines and blending work because not great having to shave my head to fix someone’s work.

I moved to Chattanooga from Knoxville last summer. I had continued to get my hair cut there when Id visit. There are some great places in Knox, but I decided to see what kind of salons or old-style barber shops Chattanooga had to offer, so I explored the web. White Oak just beckoned me. Ive been to both locations and am equally AMAZED! The attention to detail is like nothing Ive ever experienced. I like classic 30s/40s styles, as well as an occasional contemporary clip. Ive seen impatient people (or just guys who didnt realize that they might have to wait an hour or so) leave before their turn. I suggest bringing a book or just relaxing and enjoying the old-style barber shop atmosohere. GREAT THINGS ARE WORTH THE WAIT! Trust a stranger on this one.

First, it was a great haircut! Real old fashioned Barber Shop. Absolutely no problem with the mechanics of the place. Got there at 3pm, in the chair after 5pm. One Barber for a 4 chair shop. If I didnt already have a hour invested in the place I would have left at 4pm. People kept coming in ahead of me and getting cuts, they had called ahead.Dont get me wrong, great cut, good barbers, I just dont have the time to sit there for 2 + hours

My 3 boys and husband have been coming here for several years. The refuse to go anywhere else. They enjoy hot towels, straight razor shaves, beard trims, and well cut hair. Walk in, sign in, and wait. They do not hurry and make sure its done right and even have a webcam so you can check to see how busy they are prior to leaving the house. Who knew the younger generation would love a barber shop?!

Why has no one written a review of this place yet? Full disclosure, my wife works there. She has learned to do the best fades I have ever had. And the atmosphere there is so much fun. If you have not had a professional barber cut your hair, you should come in and see what you are missing.

Best barber shop around. It does take a while to get your hair cut but once you do it is worth the wait. Fran is awesome!

Great old school barber shop with a very talented staff. Beard and mustache shaping and grooming are a lost art, and they do a fantastic job at great prices.

There should always be at least 2 people here. Two people walk in at the same time on Lee Highway and one of them is forced to wait the entire time. Probably won’t get my haircut here again if I walk in on just one barber again. Not worth the 30 minute wait, plus my haircut time.

Clinton always takes great care of me! One of the only places around Chattanooga to get a modern, proper haircut. You may have to wait a little while, but its well worth it.

Sarah has been cutting my hair and she does a great job. My dentist recommended her and I am very glad he did. I was having a hard time findig someone. My barber retired and I have been searching for a while.

I asked the female barber for a basic fade on the sides and to take an inch off the top. The fade runs past the sides of my head continuing an inch up the back top portion of my head. The top back portion of my head is basically shaved. I’m not able to go anywhere now without a hat and the amount of hair that was taken off will take at least two-three months to grow back. I’m not sure if she was in a hurry to leave today, or if she just genuinely messed up, but this experience really put a bad taste in my mouth for this barber shop.

I used to drive all the way to Red Bank to get my haircut. It has always been great. They opened up the location closer to Ooltewah so I started going to that one. I have to say that they are not the same. With the ever changing staff it seems quality is slipping. Each time I have been back to here, the haircuts get worse. Just to be sure that there is no miscommunication, I started showing them pictures of the style. This is not a complicated cut. Short on the sides, long on top. This last time I asked for it to be a little shorter on top since I work in the heat. Worst haircut I have ever had (and Ive had military barbers). It is faded so far on top of my head that I might as well asked for a mohawk! The barber jammed the clippers so hard into the back of my neck I thought the was trying to dig the hair out by the roots! Needless to say I wont be coming back. Save your $23 plus tip and find somewhere else to go like I plan to do.

I love White Oak barber shop, I go to the one in Red Bank and the one off Lee Hwy, you cannot go wrong here. All of the staff are wonderful and friendly.

I like this one way more than the redbank whiteoak.

The first time I went my haircut was decent however i went again and the old guy was my barber and he messed up a basic fade. Had to go to the kuts hairstylists down the road to fix it. I paid $24 the first time for the worst haircut I ever got from here. Wait times are also ridiculous I’ve waited over an hour the first time and over 30 minutes the next while there was no customers

They do a great job cutting hair, but the Lee Hwy location seems to always be understaffed. I check the webcams to try and time when I go, but even with 1 or 2 people ahead of me a simple haircut can easily turn into an hour long affair. I cant tell you how many times Ive walked in and immediately walked out because the line, and it seems to be an increasingly frequent problem. Ive been going to both locations for several years now, but until they get more than 1 or 2 people on staff during lunch hours Ill have to take my business elsewhere because I cant dedicate 1-1.5 hours for a haircut.

After over 10 years of using their services, They lost a customer for life. I work 12 Hour Shifts getting off about 6-6:15. I arrived at the Barber Shop @ 6:34 PM saw closed sign on door that also showed Mon-Fri 9-7 & walked in @ 6:40 PM. Sign on door says open until 7 PM.Barber was blowing hair off his seat and stated,”We took our last customer 2 mins ago.”I said I work 12 hour shifts and need a haircut but I won’t be back.It’s a shame. I always have been pleased with their work and always tipped 20% or more.Barbers left out the door & Locked up @ 6:52PM as I composed this post.Very Disappointed.

So awesome! Ive generally been giving myself haircuts (they are actually luckily good;) ) but I decided I wanted to start going somewhere to get it cut great. I tried the oh so standard great clips and was satisfied with the cut for sure, I had gotten some reconmendations for white oak. So I waited a few weeks and went there, and wow! They were amazing, very nice cool place to hang out at, a professional cut to say the least. Couldnt be more satisfied with them!!! I will definatally will be coming again and again...as long as my hair grows I guess;)

I don’t know what “Eatin Masandwich” is talking about. This is the only barber shop in town that I will frequent. All the others that I have been to are terrible. If you want to look fresh and fly this is the place for you!

Read this before passing just the FIVE STARS. I am giving this place five stars because the barbershop itself has value and there are good barbers here that give this place a good name and credibility. I took my nephew to get a simple comb over classic clean haircut that he has gotten before there, I believe it was originally cut by a gentlemen name Clinton. This time Clinton was not there. My 10 year old nephew was so excited to go back to get his haircut and kept repeating combover please Auntie. I walked in at 3pm an hour before closing time and a barber, his name is Jared or thats what I saw on his mirror. He did not make me feel so welcome by pointing out in a RUDE way that it would be an hour wait. I didnt mind if it was a 2 hour wait, the place is worth the wait UNTIL you encounter a barber like this guy. Before it was my nephews turn, Jared was complaining about this NICE customer but was happy to get a good tip out of him. It was disgusting to hear what he said about the customer right after he walked out the door. How the customer should go to a hip salon if hr wants it styled. It probably isnt the smartest thing to do when you talk about a customer in front of other customers. I showed him a photo of the last cut my nephew had by Clinton. He seemed confident to do it. This guy butchered my nephews hair, it looked nothing like a vintage clean combover. My nephew was too sweet to tell him it was okay but at the same time his eyes were tearing up. I mean his bangs looked like a 2 year old cut it. I thought he was joking when he asked for my opinion. I figured he was going to just comb it over nicely when he was done. NOPE, he meant it when he complained about the last customer. This guy is happy to let you leave without a nice haircut. He left the uneven choppy hair he gave to my nephew DRY, no comb over or anything.I gave him a $10 tip SURELY not because of his cut, but because I came in an hour before closing time and I dont tip any less as much as I wanted to for the first time, I truly felt he did not deserve it though.Everyone else there seems to value their customers more and do a fantastic job. So this review is a shout out for Jared....
