John did an excellent job. With a string of Storm our AC unit had gone out. I contacted John and he was quick to come out and work on the unit that day. After a few hours of work it turned out my unit was going to be more hassle than it was worth. No surprise, it was the original unit for my 2006 home. John installed a new unit and didn’t charge me for the work that he had previously done on the old unit. I will certainly call John in the future. Great job!

My heat went down on a Sunday. Mr. Kilgore did come out to fix it. Luckily it was only the thermostat. He didnt have one so he had to come back on Monday to finish the job. He charged me a total of $317.00.I felt like that was a little high so I looked up the thermostat that he replaced for me online. He had charged me over $160.00 for a $59 thermostat you can purchase at Home Depot. While he was here he was assuring me that most other men would have taken advantage of me being a single woman. Well, I guess there is nobody out there that will treat a lady fairly. Thank you Mr. Kilgore

Had some problems in one of my rental units and turned out I need air conditioning repair work done. I googled best ac repair chattanooga and John Kilgore Heating & Air showed up. Even though it was after hours they answered my call and the owner was polite. They showed up promptly the next morning and an hour later everything was done. Price was fairly reasonable as well. I was highly impressed and recommend them. They were quick to arrive and kept the word area very clean for which I was grateful. Their prices were pretty good as well. Will definitely use Kilgore again if I need to.

We closed on a home on May 1st, 2019 and prior to closing John inspected our 2 air conditioning units as a part of the home inspection. Upon inspection, he states on the invoice “both units are in good working order.”After closing, which was 2 weeks after the inspection we went to the home, and the AC units turned on but there was no cold air. So we made multiple attempts to contact John, which were relatively successful. At 2 pm he let us know he was “on his way to look at the units.”We waited around for 5 hours, trying multiple times to contact him to find out if he was still going to show up. We received not one response until we were in the middle of eating dinner at a restaurant that at 9pm he was on his way to our home. He showed up while we weren’t home, inspected the units outside and said everything looked fine. The next day, May 2nd we finally made contact and John came out to our home. Low and behold, one of the AC units is out of Freon. He suspected a leak even though his equipment couldn’t detect one. So he put $500 worth of Freon in our AC unit, plus some stop leak to seal the leak. He also let us know we should be good with AC until the end of 2019 because of the stop leak. So, at almost $600 later we think we have working AC. But, we were wrong. We left the house on May 3rd, to fly home and when we returned on May 25th to move all of our belongings in the AC on the main floor is out again. He charged the previous home owners over $700 to inspect and clean the AC units, and then charged us almost $600 for Freon and stop leak. So almost $1400 spent, and still no working AC. Needless to say, we wont be using his service again.

Unfortunately, I experienced terrible service. The contact I spoke with was rude and came off ignorant of his own services; although I doubt this is true. Basic questions flustered him and he hung up the phone mid-sentence. I suggest going elsewhere unless John Kilgore Heating & Air takes a 180 in common business practices.

Our A/C went out on a Saturday evening. We realized it was dead for sure later that night. I called Kilgore early Sunday morning and asked if someone could please stop by and look at it. By noon, I had someone here, and the problem was fixed less than an hour later. I cant say enough good things about their service. Thanks!
