I had one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a car dealership the other day at Colonial Nissan.The backstory: I was trying to get a state inspection on my Honda CR-V before my family went on vacation for a few weeks. I had made the mistake of waiting until the end of the month, and with our toddlers nap schedule, my window for getting the job done was very small. Every place I tried said they couldnt take me in the next couple of hours. Most of them said they wouldnt be able to do the inspection until the following day.I was headed home frustrated when I decided to try Colonial Nissan. Gary Spencer in the maintenance department told me to bring the car by, fit me in very quickly, and then refused to charge me for the inspection. He said it was the least he could do with everything Id been through.I was absolutely blown away. Gary ended up taking a terrible day and turning it around. I could tell he was busy, but he went above and beyond for me -- and from what I overheard while I was there, he treated other customers the same way.Ive never bought a car from Colonial Nissan, but if this is how they treat someone off the street, I imagine their service for actual customers is even better. Highly recommend.

My salesperson, Sharad, was extremely helpful and not at all pushy. He was patient and kind. I went on vacation the day after I bought the car last week but he contacted me yesterday and invited me to come to the dealership today to go over some of the many features on my new Kicks. This will be great because I love all the features and I’m still trying to learn how to use all of them. 😊 when I bought the car last week I was exhausted from a long day and getting ready to leave at 6 am the next day for Ohio. .so we will continue our learning experience today at noon. I’m so exited about my new car and the excellent service I received from Sharad. The manuals and videos he sent me were extremely informative and all the staff were great

In being from the south, theres a certain degree of hospitality that you come to associate with home, a hospitality that you have to accept is not always there when you are up further north. Jessica, and the greater Colonial Nissan team, have shown this hospitality in the nicest of ways. They arent out to just get your money, they are here to help you, and really do give you the feeling that youre coming here to get help from friendly people, not just paying for a service.

Car shopping is not a fun experience especially for a woman. Not knowing a lot about cars I think most women go into a car dealership feeling as though theyre going to be taken advantage of because of their lack of knowledge. I was treated with respect and understanding at Colonial Nissan. The salesman that I worked with was Shah. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle and couldnt have been more pleasant and accommodating. He knew what I was looking for and tried very hard to find what I was looking for at a price I could be happy with. Along with Amonte (sales mgr?) they worked to get me the best car at the best price. I couldnt be happier with my purchase.

I just bought my car last February...the transmission has gone out at 38,000 miles. That explains it all. Thankfully my car had warranty. Secondly, I felt like they were trying to find something on my car to fix so I could be charged since the new transmission would be replaced under warranty and no charge to me. I will never take my car back for any type of service. I pray nothing else happens to this car because the service manager was not very helpful. I am thankful for Michael in the service center he was very nice.

I recently had an oil change with tire rotation, etc for my Nissan Murano. Service Advisor Michael Gazdik was Johnny-on-the-spot as soon as I exited the car and took very good care of me. I waited at the dealership while my car was serviced by Technician Gene Young. I did not have to wait long until Michael returned to say my car was done. Everything was completed in a timely and efficient manner without feeling rushed. Great job!

Another purchase at Colonial, my third vehicle Ive bought from them over the years. All said I think that probably says about as much for them as anything I could say. Ive had real good service from each purchase Ive gotten from them. Ive been treated well by everyone Ive come in contact with here. All very professional people, all happy people. I have been to the Nissan in Fredericksburg VA multiple times and always felt the customer service was awful. I really was considering not ever purchasing a Nissan again because of the treatment I received in Fredericksburg. The Charlottesville location has renewed my faith in Nissan. I would urge you to take your car for repairs elsewhere. Trying to keep in contact with anyone is impossible in service. You call, leave a message on a voicemail that isnt for the person you are calling because that is where you are directed. I assume the turnover is so high you havent had a chance to change the voicemail to the proper person. You try selling a NEW battery that you admit isnt the issue, but you typically replace it when the repair is made, even though the battery is less than two years old. Almost an unnecessary $200 charge. Then you call AFTER everything has been fixed and tell us you want to charge us another $100 because the check engine light is on now, when it was not before. How can you charge ADDITIONAL when you are already fixing the issue? The best part of this whole story is when my wife went to pick up her car, it wasnt even a check engine light that was on, it was a LOW TIRE PRESSURE. Goodness. Oh, and today, two weeks later the transaction finally goes from pending, to complete. Great job. Avoid this place.

I made appointment to have oil changed and get Emission Recall work completed on my day off because lady who made appointment on the phone said it would take a good hour. When I got there, the clerk suggested that mechanic rotate tires as free part of changing oil. Then after waiting way more than an hour, clerk came back and showed computerized form that air filter failed inspection. So I agreed to have both air filters changed. $171 and THREE hours later, I got my car back to finish errands on my day off. The worst part was when the clerk came back after air filters were changed and said I really didnt need emission control adjustment unless I was planning to go to California. That was the reason that I went to the dealership in the first place!!!

The only reason I’m not returning for service is because I’m an out of state buyer. This being the second auto purchased at Colonial, the first 20 years ago , a Nissan Maxima that I loved. I just had it inspected in May. There was low mileage on it but the 20 years prompted me to get a newer vehicle. That was a hard decision to make. As usual the staff were courteous, kind and extremely attentive to what kind of car I was looking for.. Love my new Nissan Altima. Back in 2017 when I bought my new Nissan, the buying process was pretty smooth. Every time I took my vehicle in for service, the process was smooth each time. The issue that I have with Colonial comes down to communication. When my Nissan was totaled it was very frustrating to have to go into the dealership because nobody would return a phone call. Having to wait days for documents needed for my GAP insurance claim delayed the process. I think it is important to treat previous customers business just as important as the ones youre hoping to earn.

Was scheduled for an early morning service appointment, but was pushed aside until I called at 2PM. The service prices are always super inflated. Blue book recommends every Nissan service station but yours because of the prices. Was treated like a number. Nothing personal whatsoever. This dealership only cares about the money, not its customers.
