I made an appointment with HR Block for 4pm. Got there on time and had to wait an extra 40 minutes. When I finally sat with Manuel Valcarcel, he looked over my W-2 and 1098-T forms and started to interrogate me on some of the numbers on those forms, as if I made them up. Also, he was just copying and pasting numbers without knowing anything about Tax and how it works which I could have done on my own. I felt attacked by his accusations and didn’t feel comfortable having him file my tax returns, so I ended up going to another tax expert (NOT HR Block). The difference of my refund amount was vast when I went the real tax experts. I do not recommend HR Block, especially Manuel Valcarcel!

I normally have my taxes done by VITA for free. And often will, like back in NY, I volunteered to take the course and donate my time in the C.A.S.H. program (just like VITA but in NY). I, unfortunately, battled breast cancer starting back in 02/2019 and, hopefully, the last surgery is planned for this coming December. All the medical bills threw my finances into a mess. I, in turn, put off doing my taxes. This year, I am much more organized, so I will go back to VITA. I am very happy your services were available and helped me finally get that arduous task off my to-do list but, simply it pains me to pay so much for a service that I normally have done for free. It was pretty expensive for a straight forward tax return. For those who can not qualify for the VITA services, I will recommend H&R block absolutely. Thanks again!!!

Michael Burner is the best tax adviser because he documents to the facts only. He places reliance on facts alone. Many years I have found Mr. Burner to be consistent with his fact based approached. This is why I will return coming back to him and his high integrity year after year. This might sound quaint but Mr. Burner is my tax man.

Sooda, our preparer is great. Our issue is with the cost of 2 of the forms that had to be prepared. My wife had a very small profit and dividend for which the two forms had to be prepared. Their cost was more than 2x as much as the total of the profit and dividend. It really upset my wife.

Michael Bruner was extremely patient and thorough in explaining my tax situation to me. As a new small business owner filing taxes for the first time, I was unclear about some of the deductions and rules that applied to my taxes this year. Michael made it easy for me to understand and even provided tips for how to navigate my taxes for next year. The price I paid for the service was very fair, and I feel comfortable knowing that a professional filed everything correctly.

Karen Johnson did an exceptional job on my very complex taxes. She went above and beyond to take me from owing a lot to getting a refund. The cost was minimal compared to the amount of time and effort she put in. Additionally, Karen is a kind and loving person.

Anu handled my 94-year old mothers taxes for 2019 and she was very patient and extremely thorough!! I will definitely be back for my Mom and possibly for myself too!

Way too expensive. Read before you go. To start off, Ellen Kirk was a very respectful and kind Master Tax Advisor. However, be prepared to pay hefty filing fees that they did not disclose with us when we called to set up our appointment. My wife and I are in college and we were under the impression we could do the $59 basic filing, wrong, it was $139 because we had tuition documents. On top of that theres a $35 random fee and an extra $59 state filing fee so a grand total of over $200 just to file when you can do it online for free.

I have used HR and block in this past and had fine experiences but with this location in particular it was horrible. My husband and I had to literally teach the HR block employee how to copy and paste on the computer. It doesnt appear that anyone there understands how to use a computer. It took 5 hours for our taxes to be completed when they are as simple as can be. Just two W2s to file federal and state. No kids, no house last year, so it should have been really easy. When I had to come back to pick up my forms the woman at the front desk couldnt figure out how to use that computer either to locate our account. The manager has no idea what is going on. If you want your taxes to be filed quickly and easily, stay away from this location!
